If I could give 10 stars I would. My car was in ROUGH shape when I pulled into their bay for an oil change today. (7/2/2026) They brought some major issues to my attention and explained every option, recommendation, and all the advice to make sure my car got taken care of. They were all so informative and helped ease my obvious stress/anxiety after bringing some issues to my attention. These men were also in such good spirits the entire time I was there. Working in 100°+ weather while providing exceptional service and keeping a positive, upbeat energy. They help ease my worries and made me laugh and gave me some good tips to help my car run better. Take 5 is alright, their staff is always quick, efficient and helpful. One thing I don't like is their prices have gone WAY up over the last 2-3 years (yes, I know that's the case for prices everywhere but STILL). I needed a high mileage regular oil change it was almost $90, and they changed my air filter as well since it was pretty dirty and that was another $40 (shortly after I learned you can buy a filter for like $10 and change it yourself QUITE easily). Overall I'm annoyed by how expensive it's become, it used to be one of the cheapest options. But otherwise they're still doing the same good work I remember them doing for the last 5 years. read more

I've been coming to this location for years and the customer service has always been great except for my visit last week. In the morning I noticed my oil light would appear anytime I hit the brakes. So after work I ran a few errands then headed for a top off since I wasn't due for an oil change until February. I didn't get a sticker reminder the last time, not the first time, so I set a reminder in my calendar. When I arrived 2 of the 3 lanes were open and occupied so I waited behind the cars. All of a sudden I heard yelling and looked up to see an employee trying to get my attention from inside the garage. The light drizzle apparently was too much to approach my car, just a few feet away. (Keep in mind I ran a few errands before with no umbrella in hand. It was a slight sporadic drizzle.) I rolled down my window and had to yell to him that I think I need a top off and explain the light on when I hit the brakes, etc. He then motioned me to come to the 3rd lane that had a cone blocking it. He asked where my sticker was, I said I didn't get one last time. He said he needed it. I asked, isn't in your system, he said no I need the sticker. I said I can pull up my credit card statement with the date. He laughed and said that won't help. Once he checked the computer my info came up in less than 30 seconds. Not hard at all! He topped off my oil and I left. Pure laziness! The overall experience was disappointing considering I've been coming here for years. His jacket said Charlie. I've been to take 5 twice. The first time they tried to sell me an air filter for $40 I purchased one at Walmart for $11. The second time they told me that I needed a new cabin air filter and my coolant changed. Changed on a new car I only had for three months. Then they broke my under carriage cover and zipped tied it without telling. Tried to resolve this issue. Nothing. I would never go back or recommend anyone to use Take 5. read more

My wife took my car (infiniti q50) in for an oil change to take 5 oil change on Septeber 16th. They talked her into chanigng the coolant fluid. Less than 60 miles later, the radiator cracked and the thermostat needs to be replaced. I took my car to Midas, and they have been advocating on my behalf for take 5 to repair the damages caused by the coolant flush. Take 5 has used unethical practices to avoid paying, such as lying about receiving an invoice, calling me back, and meeting deadlines, unreasonably delaying the process, and ignoring critical evidence. Take 5 informed me this morning that they were denying the claim of service repairs. read more

DO NOT TAKE YOUR VEHICLE HERE TO GET SERVICE. Just a warning. YOU MIGHT, YOU MIGHT!! Have to walk home. I am in shock. I took my WORK truck to get an oil change at this location. Immediately after running my truck 38 miles. The engine failed. The truck is now inoperable. We were Left out in the middle of the highway. With cargo. Towing fees cost $900 to get it to a trusted shop in San Antonio (those fees in itself have bottom my small business, that is struggling yet maintaining to survive week by week, WORTH IT though). I personally purchased a oil analysis kit. Waiting for results. Truck is currently with the shop and mechanic insist that the truck engine is LOCKED. read more

If I could give zero Stars I would this location caused damage to my son's car during a routine oil change, were unable to offer repairs for the damage and it has now been over 2 months that I still have yet to get a courtesy return phone call or email reply from the customer service support or the shop manager regarding the damage caused, reimbursement for the additional repair cost from the damage they caused and I still have yet to receive the refund for the oil change that we were promised! Extremely poor customer service, the manager at the William Cannon, Austin TX location is never available to help answer questions regarding his inexperienced shop personnel and a very dishonest company who makes promises they have absolutely no intentions of fulfilling. I would not recommend this business location or business chain as a whole that shows no effort to correct their mistake or extend even an ounce of care about their customers or the customers vehicle! read more

Came in for a basic oil change and my tires to be fill back up. I arrived in line at 1140am on a Sunday. Not many cars ahead of me, 1 in front of my line to be exact. I did not get serviced for an oil change until 1:52pm. I waited over 2 hours to get my oil changed. They market as being quick and easy and they are far from that. Literally go to any other oil place. Completely ruined what was going to be a productive Sunday. Also there air compressor was down so tires couldn't be filled back up. If you are going to make people wait that long at least give them a heads up so they can leave before they get stuck in the line. I will literally go to any other oil place before this one read more

DISHONEST BUSINESS PRACTICES! I paid $150 for the 10k mile oil change with free top offs. My mileage was 74,239 so the oil change reminder sticker stated 84,239 or 1/06/2025. It also stated I would get free top offs and tire checks. When I came for a free top off, the manager tried to sell me another oil change. When I told him I just wanted a top off, he tried to deceive me saying the date was when I got the oil change and that the mileage didn't make sense. When I told him that was the oil change reminder, he just kept saying it didn't make sense. Then he said I didn't need any new oil. That was AFTER they checked my oil and tried to sell me another oil change. Finally, I got him to give me a top off. BUT they took my sticker off. I told them to give me a new sticker but the one they gave me only had 80,000 miles on it. The manager there is a scammer and so was the guy working with us who went along with this scam. I would have been a long time customer but I will never go back now. At TAKE 5, you WILL be scammed. The only TAKE 5 I got was they TAKE 5000 miles off you mileage and try to sell you what you already paid for. Don't be next. AVOID AT ALL COSTS! read more

I've been going to this location for almost five years now. They do amazing work! They're very thorough and communicate with the customer very well. They're fast, hence the name I guess. They've just always taken amazing care of my cars & me. I'm very grateful to have found this place, after getting my car messed up at other places! SCAM SCAM SCAM I was looking for prices and none are listed on their website. That really should have been my warning. I call to get a price. I tell the guy what kind of car I have and he says the lowest price is $50 for a blend of synthetic and non synthetic oil. I get there and a guy comes to check in with me at my car. It took about an hour to get into the bay. Once the guys start working a kid gets on the register and starts asking for my info. Then he tells me my options are an oil change that is over $100 and the other is $83. I point to the $50 option and tell him that's what I'm there for. He tells me they can't give me that as his computer is telling him I have to have this certain standard of oil. I drive a Toyota and it doesn't require synthetic oil. I tell him again that's what I want and the kid says he's not allowed to because it will "mess up your car" and says they already started. So not wanting to continue to bicker with someone who's clearly paid to lie to me I just continue on. So if you go here, prepare to be lied to and coerced into having to make a scene to actually get what you want instead of what they want. I called their home office and of course I got voice mail. I have been trying to call for a week to verify their participation in a program that I received when I purchased my car. I have called multiple times and no one ever calls me back, I have called customer service and again nothing, no one ever answers the phone, they can't give me any information at the call center that answers the phone, so today I drove all the way over there and the guy had no idea what I was talking about, and then claims they don't have an oil filter for my car. This place is supposed to be fast, easy, and convenient, but it is none of the above. I have tried to use this place 3 times since it opened, and every time I have gone there has been an issue. First their computers weren't working for like an entire week. The next time I was actually able to get an oil change but they didn't have any air filters for my vehicle (at the time it was a 2017 Hyundai Sonata) Today I tried to go and get my oil changed, they have a line of cars and 3 bays, but they are only using one bay. Then then proceed to send away the two vehicles in front of me so I knew something was up. The tech comes to me and asks me what I need (kind of a dumb question since this is an oil change place, clearly I'm here for an oil change) I tell him I need an oil change, he goes to look under my hood, then sends me away too, they have no 0/20 oil for my 2021 Hyundai Sonata. I've given them 3 chances and every time they have something wrong, and are run like they don't have a clue. This chance was the last chance and I won't ever be hassling with trying them again. Didn't even give me full synthetic like I asked for! But they were more than happy to charge me for it, the guy in charge of my oil change wasn't even listening to me. When I got home to test if they had actually put full synthetic in my car, I found that they had also cross threaded my oil drain plug. Check that they replace all the bolts back in place before you leave. Take before and after pictures. On Sunday, employees spent more time discussing another employee vehicle issue while not paying attention to my vehicle during the oil change. Bolts were missing and while driving on I-35 the bottom cover came off causing damage. On Tuesday, I spoke with the manager and he said he would make it right and fix it. That he would call me back on Thursday to resolve it. No call to this date. I've called and left message with employees, called 10 times no one answers and now the manager is avoiding the issue. I'm contacting my attorney to resolve the issue as well as contacted Headquarters. They lost me as a customer. Watch out! read more

I went to get an oil change on June 26,2022 Didn't find out until Saturday night they Somehow the ended up putting twice the amount of oil and didn't tighten the hose clamps when they checked my air filter. As I was driving to work that same day 20 minutes later my car started lagging and throwing smoke turned around and went back to talk to them and they said that it happens because I switched to full synthetic from conventional. went back Sunday after I found the issues with my car. This is insane. I have a check engine light on indicating that my turbocharger has an underboost condition and there's a misfire in cylinder one. Take 5 William Cannon ruined my transmission. I came in for an oil change and they drained my transmission by mistake. I drove around the block and realized something was incredibly wrong so I brought it back in the same day. Without letting me know ahead of time they gave me a transmission flush and promised me a refund (I didn't receive for 2 months). I noticed after that point my transmission felt off so I took it into a dealership and they stated in fact that I needed a new transmission. I tried to work with Take 5 to get this resolved and they were not helpful whatsoever. There's no way to talk to corporate. They use a third party to deal with service issues. I did not receive a rental car from Take 5 for over a week after this issue occurred. When they finally started getting quotes for my car they refused to do what's right. They offered a used transmission for my car and refused to provide me with a new one. I was unable to speak with them because they do these dealings through the third party. They gave me an ultimatum of either putting a used transmission in my car, which would void my warranty and fill me with uncertainty, or accepting the cash in the amount of the used transmission. Through this whole process they didn't tell me what was going on. I didn't even know where my car was at for the majority of this process. They'll keep telling you it's the third party service that handles it, but in actuality Take 5 is the one accepting and denying claims so they can stay off the hook. None of this has been my fault and I took the grunt of the whole issue. I dealt with this issue for 2 months and ended up with a transmission with more miles than my original. Me saying don't go here is an understatement. This was nothing short of a nightmare. read more

This was very inconvenient and frustrating for me. The last time I went these two teenage boys did not know what the heck they were doing and said that the oil was leaking but it wasn't a big deal supposedly.
