My car now rides like new. Jennifer at this location was a darling, and even called me to let know how the repair went, and what time to come back and get it. She even applied a coupon before I could ask for it (I was gonna ask anyway). Jennifer earned back my loyalty. From the check engine diagnostic cost being $100+ when most places will do for free or discount if the work is being done after. To then being estimated for a repair double what it should be. Take your car to Jiffy Lube instead they do a free diagnostic and charge half of what I was quoted for repairs! I had an appointment at 11. They told me it would take an hour or 2, but when that time came and passed I noticed my car hadn't moved. I asked the front desk what was up and they told me I was next. Another 2 and a half hours went by, now I've been waiting for almost 5 hours, and they said they couldn't patch the nails in my tire. The only thing they could do is replace all my tires. If you feel like wasting 4-5 hours to get simple work done, then go here. I would suggest helping out small family owned shops like Davis Brother down the street or Tires Buy Mark in the valley. I looked to see what time they open and it was a prompt 7 AM, they were right on time which is always a plus for me in business. I needed air in my tires and Danny was welcoming at such an early time in the morning which definitely made me smile. Usually I take my car to a trusty regular mechanic, but when my car broke down with battery issues I was too far away, and gambled on Firestone. Initially I replaced the battery with a brand-new one from Autozone (since it hadn't been replaced in years anyways), but when it died again I knew that I needed to have the alternator checked. Against my better judgement (and the other reviews you can see here), I took my car to this Firestone, and instructed them to test the alternator. The next morning, Firestone called and said that they were unable to test the alternator because "your battery won't hold a charge". (Highly unlikely, since the battery was brand new and had been installed for less than 48 hours. I think she meant that it's dead, but at this point I'm not sure the front desk staff really knows anything about cars.) They tried to sell me a new battery. I asked why they could not simply charge the battery (every competent mechanic I have ever worked with has a battery charger, it's a $30 tool) and they continued to give me the run-around and said they wouldn't do the test unless I bought a battery. When I went to pick up my car, they tried to charge me $28 for the "service" of telling me that my battery is dead. (Yes I know it's dead, that's literally the reason I came in.) Furthermore, they knew the battery was dead *when I told them dropping it off*. I could have saved myself a hundred dollars in Ubers getting home and running other errands during the time that Firestone had my car. Huge waste of my time and money. Avoid at all costs. Thank you Firestone for getting me in and out quickly. In a time crunch on a very busy day, I got a flat tire. Being the closest location to me at the time, I came by to get it fixed. I expressed the need to get to an appointment within the hour and the gentlemen helping me had me out within 30 mins even though they were very busy. I did need a new tire as I had a minor puncture they couldn't find until they over pressurized it and it was just in one of those non-repairable spots. I appreciate them showing me where the damage was. While settling my bill, the mechanic replaced my tire. Everything was quick, more than I expected and most of all they were pleasant to work with. Came back here for another car that needed a flat tire fix. I told my son we were going to the wheel store. If anyone has kids who loves wheels balls anything round try saying the wheel store lol totally worked for me but in the hot sweltering heat my son insisted we watch the hard-working garage workers do their thing (admittedly it is super peaceful and fun!) I felt a little bad ... who likes to be watched while working/ sweating.... but they were all really nice and could see my stroller bound boy was just so fascinated i barely had a chance to enjoy the nice cool air conditioned waiting room. There was no coffee in the late mid afternoon but I realized I didn't want any anyway and they have comfy single chairs (you know, comfy like they've been lived in) overall such an easy visit --they can take care of your walk-in needs if you wait in the waiting room it seems like a long time but if you stand in the same sun they feel, you realize they're actually really efficient in how they operate. I'm a huge fan bc both my visits here for nails in tires were a casual breeze and about $20 a fix AND my happy kid turns into an extremely happy kid. I'll return for sure if I have any other needs. Maybe get new tires on an old car when the time comes. Must say the bathroom was nasty. Hope that can just be constructive criticism I mean. I didn't expect it to be sparkly but upon leaving I thought that would be the only thing that would truly make this place as awesome to visit to others as it has been for me (I'm super swayed bc my son even noticed all the tires way up above the garage lifts. Exact same thing happened to me when I went to get my tires installed, even though I had a confirmed appointment in advance. I've scheduled a 9 a.m. appointment for an engine oil change. Jennifer (the receptionist) was charming on the phone and informed me that an engine oil change would take only 30 to 45 minutes as I have an appointment. On the appointment day, I arrived at 8:50 a.m. I waited in the reception area. The car wasn't ready even after 3 hours. When I went to ask her about it, she told me that my car wasn't the only car in their shop and I had to be patient. My car was returned to me around 12:15 p.m. Alexander Arias, the store manager, advised me that the timing belt had to be replaced, and he gave me a quote. I don't know that much about cars. When I informed my son about it, he couldn't believe it as my car was bought in 2018, and my car had only 44,000 miles. According to him, timing belts are only replaced after 60,000 miles. He took my car to the dealer; they inspected it and said the timing belt was fine. So I drove back to Firestone and spoke to Mr. Arias, the manager. He was ruder than Jennifer; he talked to me in a demeaning tone and claimed that the dealers had no idea what they were doing. To get a second opinion, I took my car to another Firestone location (Santa Monica); they inspected it, and they said the timing belt was good and nothing needed to be done. I returned to this location; I spoke to Mr. Arias again and showed him all the papers the other location gave me. He went inside and didn't return for 45 minutes. When I asked Jennifer, she said that is his lunchtime. He made me wait intentionally. I'm not going to come here again. They may swindle you off if you are unaware of the cars. They are always pleasant on the phone. But when you go there, they will reveal their true identity. Be careful and question their repair work. Terrible shop. Poor customer service. Unreliable. Not trustable. I have been here many times and the experience has always been terrible. I only kept going back cuz I didn't have another good mechanic to replace them, but now I'm done. The employees here are so rude, it's almost as if they're trained to treat customers poorly. Ignore you when you walk in. Expect to stand around for at least 15 minutes before they even acknowledge your existence. They one time returned my Audi with damage to the front left quarter panel, assured me they would pay for the damage, then later refused to do pay. Putting that behind me, I went in for an oil change on Monday just 10 minutes after they said they were free over the phone and told me to come in. After driving over and waiting around for 20 mins to be helped, the guy says they're "too busy" now. So they gave me an appointment for the next day, Monday at 6:00. Next day, I get there at 5:45 and they can't find my appointment. I showed the lady my email confirmation and she just replied really rudely, "Well, too bad, we shouldn't have booked you for then." Okay, whatever, book me the next day. "Okay, how's tomorrow at 4:00" "Great! See you then." I arrive there the next day at 4:00 to be greeted extremely nastily and told they they're overbooked. Good thing I called in 30 minutes earlier to make sure my appointment was confirmed and that they would be taking me. I told him that it's my third day in a row coming in and asked him to please not turn me down again. He goes to the garage area and comes back to tell me that they can take me, but it would take 2 to 3 hours. F that. I left. They really take good care of my car. The employee Jennifer Arlon is wonderful.. She wears many hats and takes care of the customers to make them happy. She answers the phone, she checks people in, she checks on the cars, she answers questions from the mechanics, she makes appointments, she shows customers the products like tires, and windshield wipers, etc. Jennifer is an outstanding employee. They really need to give her top-of-the-line money because they really need her. I've never seen an employee do so many jobs at one time and always have a smile on her face. She's cool, calm and collected even when a customer is rude to her - which she doesn't deserve. Her customer service skills are fabulous. I'm so grateful that she's here. Unacceptable Mistake!!!! Resulted in a Catastrophic Blowout I recently had a highly regrettable experience with [Firestone Tires], and I am extremely disappointed with the tire change service I received, which turned into a nightmare due to a catastrophic blowout. I purchased a brand new set of tires from [Firestone Tires] and had them installed with high hopes for improved performance and safety. However, the day after leaving the service center, my rear right tire blew out while I was driving at a high speeds. The sudden loss of control due to the blowout led to my vehicle to almost crash into another car while veering off the side of the road for safety, resulting in bent rim damage. The constant vibration and uneven wear caused by the tire had a detrimental impact on my wheel alignment system, resulting in out pocket tow. These repair will undoubtedly be costly and time-consuming, further exacerbating my frustration and dissatisfaction. Not only did they install highly brand tires on my car, but they unforgivable mistake of changing the wrong tires has left me feeling cheated and inconvenienced. The same bad tires were left on my car. They managed to change out front tires (wrong set)on my car and relaid to me that they rotated all the tires but failed to explain to me that my tires are "off set", when I originally came there to replace the rears, they completely disregarding my explicit instructions. When I brought my car to [Firestone Tires] for a tire changes, I provided them with clear instructions and even emphasized that I need to change out my rear tires, the left rear tire had a screw and the right rear tire had a noticeable bubble. The consequences of their mistake were not minor inconveniences. The grave error that these tires were NEVER taken off my car I REPEAT my BAD tires were never taken off, resulting in poor traction, compromised handling, and an unsafe/hazardous driving, to fail so catastrophically. It is unacceptable that a professional tire service provider could be so careless and negligent when it comes to such a critical aspect inspection of vehicle maintenance and I question the competency of their staff to make appropriate recommendations. Adding insult to injury, when I contacted [Firestone] to report the incident and seek resolution approached their customer service for assistance, I was met with dismissive attitude towards my concerns only deepened my dissatisfaction and frustration along with a lack of accountability. They told me they would call me back to address my concerns but I had to end up calling them back after waiting hours for them to contact me before the business closed for the day. It is clear that customer satisfaction is not a priority for [Firestone Tires], despite their claims of exceptional service. In conclusion, I strongly advise against using [Firestone Tires] for any tire-related needs. Their lack of quality control, negligent installation, and unresponsive customer service resulted in a disastrous blowout that not only jeopardized my safety and others but also caused significant damage to my vehicle, has left me with a negative impression. So I called in and they quoted me $160 on the phone for a front brake change + rotors and I told them the exact make model of my car to get the most accurate quote possible btw. Set up an appointment with the guy... I get to the place and they told me the wait was going to be about 45 to an hour for a brake inspection and I was actually fine with that . But it ended up being LITERALLY a 2 hour wait and they just had my car sitting on the jack with no one around it..... & it wasn't busy at all. So I went up to the desk to ask how much longer it would be and the girl that was at the front desk had an extreme attitude [she should be fired] ..She went and checked and that took her 20 minutes Then finally she came back & told me some astronomical amount....$950 and she tried to make me sign up for a credit card with them. I could go in and on about the story but it would literally be an entire book so ...If you want to be ripped off come here. There's literally nothing anyone can say to ever make me come back here. 20 years ago, I tried a Firestone dealer in Louisiana, and the service was so so. Cut to: my tire is blown on my Fiat 500e so I had it towed here. Get this, my wheel was locked and the dealer provided no key. So I ended up having to tow the car to the dealership. Frank was so accommodating and let my car stay until I could sort this all out (several days). I'm now so happy I made sure the dealer used Firestone and I'm bringing the my Fiat back from the dealership to Frank at Firestone for the non-tire services! I brought my car in to have my AC system diagnosed. I was feeling the air was not getting as cold as it used to. Within the first 15 minutes of the diagnosis, I was told that the AC seemed adequate, but that they would need to take it out for a test drive. Two hours later, I was told one of the cooling fans had stopped working and that I needed a new compressor -Parts and labor totaling $1,945.36. I think I was the victim of a scam / fraud. What are the chances that the fan and the compressor would break down during the technician's test-drive. As I drove my car home, hot air was blowing on one side of the car and the compressor was noticeably noisy. Needless to say, I did not have the suggested repairs done, but now I have to deal with a fan and a compressor not working, and having to find an honest shop to repair the AC system...Urggggg! Please be warned, DO NOT bring your car for repairs into this Firestone shop on La Cienega, CA. Oh, and also, do not let your car and technician out of your sight! read more

My tire had a nail in it and brought it in as recommended by a friend of mine. I gave it a shot since I didn't want to wait a billion years at Costco. I dropped off my car and was told there was a 2-hour wait. Then an hour in I get a call saying my tire isn't repairable and I need to get a new tire. The cost for the tire was $250 or $450 for a brand-name tire (Tesla Model 3). I asked to fill up the tire and come again another day. I got back to see they didn't fill up the tire like they say they would. They claimed they already did and the hole was so big the air went out very fast. I asked them to refill it and I was able to get to the Valley where only 5-7 PSI was lost. I decided to go to a tire shop my father knew and they were able to patch the tire easily for $30! Someone either didn't want to take the 10-20 minutes to see how bad the hole actually was and wanted to make a quick buck. Not appreciated at all. read more
