I got the first flight cold brew. It was ok. It says vanilla clown foam. It didn't have a vanilla taste at all. Since they just opened, it still had a line. Seems that they were keeping up with the orders good. The only thing I saw that I didn't think it was "fresh" is they had buckets full done of cold foam and matcha foam. Ummm, idk about that. We were the first customers in on a Saturday morning and by the time we left the shop was busy busy! I ordered their matcha latte with matcha foam and it was delicious -- not too overpowering but not too sweet either. The inside was very clean, too! The only issue was that we did ask for the pastries toasted and they definitely weren't but it could've been something they missed while ordering. The pastries themselves were amazing, though! Italian cheese roll (I think?) was a great savory option with good seasoning, and the crookie paired well with the matcha I had but would probably be even better with a coffee drink. I was really hopeful visiting this spot since I always pass by it on my way to work. When I walked in, I greeted the worker, but I didn't get a hello back, which made things a little awkward. Their matcha is some of the best I've had outside of Japan - it's got the perfect blend of earthy and sweetness. But the strawberry matcha tastes like Nesquick strawberry milk powder - tastes super artificial and ruined the integrity of the matcha. The strawberry is just a pump syrup - so I don't recommend getting it (or any flavors bc none of the pump syrups will do justice to the quality of the matcha). Just get the first flight matcha. It's amazing, I hope they move to house made syrups to match the quality of their matcha. read more

Coffee tastes bitter, tart and sour. I got an iced coffee latte for $6.06. I would not come back even if it was free because it doesn't taste good at all, especially for having 5 employees standing there. Not my cup of tea at all. Using generic whole milk eat over $6 is criminal--source some better quality milk at that price. The vibe is cool and people are friendly but the ingredients are lacking--the matcha looks mid. If you want to charge quality prices you best have quality ingredients. I can't speak for the matcha but if you're in this area for coffee head over to Offset or Corridor Flow instead and do yourself a favor and skip this place. read more

first flight is easily the best matcha spot in south bay! it appears busy with a full shop of guests, but the baristas are so fast and friendly throughout. they make your experience that much better because they are so open to questions about their selections and process, sweet and happy to be there. if you get there earlier in the day, they have the largest variety of fresh pastries, not the basic muffin and croissant options. i always crave the pesto/tomato danish and first flight matcha. the lemon lavender donut is delicious without being overpowering and perfume heavy. if you're craving a dessert, i highly recommend the crookie. the matcha is so creamy, concentrated and cohesive! it's not grainy, milk-dominant or overly sweet which is hard to find in the area! 10/10 review from me read more
