Met David to have him assess why my garage door was only partially opening and had left me unable to access my garage because the door had stopped from fully opening. David took his time testing the system and found my 1996 Genie motor was on it's last leg and was showing signs of burn-out and that it was only a matter of time before the rusty tension spring would snap. David came out in 2020 and installed a brand new Liftmaster motor. It is now not opening/closing the door and they came out this morning to quote me $2,100 for a new motor. When I told them they installed it years ago, they said never mind it's a metal bracket and it will cost $350. I agreed to have them change it, and it didn't fix the issue. They left and said I would get a call back...they never called back and refused to help us because we didn't have the receipt from the original installation. During this Covid crisis, we were worried about calling someone out to fix our garage door. But David was excellent at being careful to keep a good distance and very professional! He came out for a free estimate knowing full well that he might leave without the job. Our spring broke and unfortunately we have a Wayne Dalton System (where the springs are inside the tube) so the entire system had to be replaced and upgraded. I had one of the two springs on my door snap and needed someone to replace both. I called and they answered the phone right away. They came out the same day and gave me a very reasonable quote so I went with the repair. During the service the tech made a recommendation on replacing two minor parts that were worn out and weren't very expensive. There was no pressure, just pointing out an observation. I went with the additional repair and he was done in 45 minutes. I am a stickler on work quality and I am always on Yelp looking at what other people write to gauge who to go to. Didn't receive a quote, he started working immediately. Before even attacking the issue, he went straight into installing new wheels for the track and didn't even analyze the main issue. I asked if he could assist in realigning the garage door so it can close properly which included recoiling the wire in one of the drums. After being called out on his "extra work" he became unreasonable and unprofessional. Going as far as calling my stepfather an asshole and saying if he knew so much why is he there and it not fixed. Alon showed up and was in and out in about 30 minutes. Charge was $489 to replace 1 cable and tighten the trucks on one side of the door. I'm no garage repairman, but I feel like the price was a bit high. Hopefully the owner will be willing to justify the cost and put my mind at ease. The garage does work again though..... In response to David: I appreciate the follow-up, but you should be more upfront in your pricing. You told me it would be a $29 service fee for the technician to come out which you said would go toward the cost of the repair. What is the breakdown for the entire repair. What is the cost of the cable? If the cable is say $60 then your technician charged me $400 for 30 minutes worth of labor. When I asked him why it was so much he said because he had to assess. I pointed out the issue when arrived. What was there to assess? Does $460 seem reasonable for a 30 minute job and a single cable replacement? Would you have charged that if you dispatched? I'm normally not one to complain, but price gouging should not be acceptable. I appreciate the offer for a year of maintenance, but that should come standard as a courtesy to any of your customers that you've provided service to. read more

Does Not Follow up David came for an estimate and was prompt. The estimate was fair and we asked him to come back to install a complete garage door system (minis garage door). He came and installed everything, except he couldn't get my car link system to open the garage door. I had the same challenge with another property we have and the guy then installed an extra link box and the car button worked. I told that to David and he said to send him the information and will come back. Well, I did with pictures of the unit and so far I have not heard from him. Friday evening, October 27, 2017 my torsion spring broke and my garage door crashed down and twisted. Now what? 7 am Saturday morning I called David, 7:32 he knocked on my front door in San Dimas. He quickly fixed the door, added an extra tortion spring, straightened and braced the twisted top two panels and did all of this in about an hour.
