But overall, good environment, not a long wait to get food (other than the hour wait for a table). I wanted to like this place. The food is good but the service is so slow. It's slower than any place I've ever been. I walked in the door and waited for 5 minutes before someone even greeted me because there were only two people on staff. That was the second time. The first time I came my girlfriend and I were seated and I'm not joking it was 15 minutes before a waiter even came by to ask if we wanted water. Also the drinks are all pre-made so if you ask for a drink and they are out of the pre-made batch they say "oh I'm sorry we ran out". What restaurant or bar have you ever been to when they say they ran out of a cocktail? Just make it. Honestly never coming here again but I give it three stars because the food is decent. read more

Eggs Benedict was serviced with well done solid yolks. Asked for new eggs, after 20 minutes asked where the eggs were. Waitress said they were coming like I was bothering her. Finally they came out. My food was cold by then and everybody at my table was done eating. Poor service, no sense of urgency, not managed well. read more

It is no longer the Egg and I, which did initially bother us...However, the restaurant still has the same GM and most of the amazing waitstaff whom we love. They really do a great job of making sure that you get what you need in order to make your dining experience the absolute best that it can be. They're friendly, efficient and attentive. I miss the aesthetic of the Egg and I. My husband and I were driving by and we were shocked to see the new sign for "First Watch." We decided to visit for breakfast the next morning. As much as I hate to compare, First Watch is nothing like Egg & I. I was sad to find out that First Watch took over & thought surely if Egg & I(being as good as it was) was no longer there, this new place would be just as good or even better! The atmosphere is nice, looks clean, & new ofcourse. I thought personally that it was too try hard with the whole farmhouse/barn-rustic theme. Besides that, the atmosphere was nice & calm. But not as busy as I remember Egg & I so it was very different. I still wanted to remain unbiased but my water glass that was at the table was not clean, the waitress kindly replaced it. The coffee was not enjoyable to me(taste & temperature). The menu was good but it didn't feel like it had a huge variety. The waitress gave me some options & answered any questions I had. Regardless the fact that I'm not a picky eater, I just couldn't decide what to get. I ended up getting one of the most expensive things on the menu but it definitely didn't taste like it. This was my first time visiting this location. We went easy in the morning for breakfast. Parking was kind of full, so we had to wait a little for someone to leave. The inside was really busy, so we opted to sit outside instead of waiting. Our waiter was extremely nice and very accommodating. I had got the eggs Benedict's with avocado, spinach, and tomato, with breakfast potatoes and toast. They're ice coffee is one my favorites. The eggs were very savory; will definitely get them again. Toast was a little cold, but was still fine. Also. it started raining a bit towards the end of our meal, and the waiter was very nice and offered to move us to to an open table inside right away. I use to love this place but holy smokes has it gone down hill. The hostess seemed straight up annoyed we were there and was rude the entire time. I ordered a chicken salad that came with no chicken and our waitress never came back so I just ate it like that. I was surprised to see waitstaff with no mask but the best thing was when I went to the bathroom and saw a waitress blowing her nose in the middle of the kitchen. The entire staff seemed mad a one another and it was just bad overall. All of the customers looked miserable. I should also note they were only at half capacity too so the crowd wasn't the issue. It seems like the owner/manager just doesn't exist. read more

I really want to love this restaurant because my partner and I enjoy the food here, but the service is extremely lacking. We went in for lunch this afternoon after getting in line in their online waiting system. When we arrived we gave our name and checked in with a woman who had black and red hair. After standing and waiting for 20 minutes with no update, we asked how much longer and were told that we were never marked as "arrived" by the woman who checked us in and therefore we would have to continue to wait. Finally we were seated and the exact same woman with black/red hair was our waitress. When the food was brought out the waitress tilted my partner's plate and dropped some of the food on his arm and the table. This place has been so chaotic and disorganized nearly every time we've gone which really dampens the experience. Will definitely check out other brunch/lunch restaurants before returning here. read more
