The third First Watch I've visited in the area, and I'm happy to say that the food here doesn't disappoint. Brought my besties from out of town here for a mid week visit. Cheerfully greeted and seated very quickly. Thanks to the Yelp app I knew there wasn't going to be a long wait so I didn't need the wait list this time (these places are usually packed with a bit of a wait especially on weekends). The decor is slightly different here compared to the other locations with a more "urban" feel. Lots of options available with everything on the menu, both breakfast and lunch items available open to close. The food, as usual for First Watch, was great. Everything from monster-sized pancakes to omelets, to salads, gives you the feeling that these guys go to great lengths to make sure you're eating the freshest foods that are locally sourced. Please keep in mind that since your meal is being prepared from scratch, it takes a few minutes extra (no eggs from a bag here) to arrive, but it's worth the wait! read more

Since my last review. The business reached out and provided a breakfast for two on the house. I have to say, when I went back for this the experience was much better. Food was good and service appeared to be more on top of it. While this time the restaurant was much slower than my last reviewed visit, we were pretty pleased with the service we received. Amazing service and food from start to finish! We had already been driving for 12 hours through the night. Our daughter was miserable and really wanted a smiley face pancake. I called ahead and they (Linda?) picked up right away and were friendly and helpful. When we arrived, our server Hannah went out of her way to make our daughter feel special and even the manager came out. They made her an AWESOME smiley face pancake with banana and chocolate chip eyes, strawberry nose, and whipped cream smile. Truly went above and beyond. Absolutely the best brunch place I have been to in a long time. Great food, great service, fresh choices. Cannot wait to go back!

This food was absolutely incredible!!! I got really hungry and greedy and ordered everything on the menu. My favorites were the Breakfast Chimichanga, Florida French Toast with the fresh fruit and the home fries are outstanding. The service was fast and extremely friendly. Wow! Loved the menu selections and creativity. Had the 2 for $9 a veggie sandwich on a multigrain which I would call ultra grain! And the soup of the day which was a butternut squash bisque. Butternut squash bisque was a bit on the pasty side a bit too much thickener detracted from the flavor. Next time would stick with the tomato basil. Highly recommend for those looking for a healthy fare and reasonably priced and excellent portions. read more

Our family moved from Atlanta where brunch is KING. Chattanooga has different priorities but First Watch more than compensates with their literal heart warming farmhouse skillet hash or their tastebud popping avocado toast or their unorthodox but brilliant chickichanga or their... you get it right? They have a consistently changing seasonal special menu that always amazes me. The food is only outdone by the absolutely amazing people that work at the chattanooga locations. Sunday brunch...where to go??? We decided to try First Watch on Northshore. Loved the atmosphere, definitely a great Northshore decor, open and airy. We were afraid there would be a wait but nope...the reason for no wait was we added our party to the waitlist from Yelp! Yay, they were cleaning a table for us as soon as we came through the door. The food....it was awesome...we all picked a different entree and each one got a thumbs up. Believe me the pancakes are huge and delicious! It was so good that one person in our party took a friend with her the next day....she said the tacos were yummy! Service...superb, the waitress was friendly and attentive to our table. As a general rule, I have found that restaurants that don't care enough about the taste of their coffee to provide actual cream or half-and-half instead of individually packaged plastic containers of "coffee creamer" probably have not invested in good coffee. Unfortunately coffee was ordered as we sat and prior to investigating the bowl of "creamer" options. Proving the general rule, the coffee was disappointing which really should be a non-starter for a breakfast restaurant. The food was mediocre. For example, the blueberry muffin had two pockets of approximately three berries entombed in dry, bland muffin material. It was likely an old muffin as it seemed stale. I am unlikely to return and do not suggest this restaurant if other options are available. read more

This is your standard First Watch, which isn't a bad thing. This location has recently opened and is quite busy on weekend mornings so be sure to use the yelp app to check in ahead of time. They have all the usual breakfast/brunch options offered by similar restaurants and the food we had was good but not outstanding. You won't be disappointed by eating here. read more

I fall in love with the food every time as I always tend to get the breakfast. But the more I come, the more the quality of the food drops and it tastes like something I can make at home. Ever since the mask mandate ended, absolutely no one wears masks in the store and it can get a bit uncomfortable. the service is ok at times. There are some servers that are just absolutely rude and it really brings the vibe down. All in all, it's one of my favorite breakfast restaurants at the moment until I can find a better one read more

Pass by the place twice just going into town so we stop by Saturday morning for breakfast and order the place was busy and a great area. Parking was the only negative no where to exit just enter and turnaround lot. The food wasn't that good and the server not better. A lady got sick and it took forever for the ambulance to get there.. We usually love First Watch but will not be coming back after our experience yesterday. First, we waited 7 minutes before having to ask to see a server to greet us and take our order. I ordered the Trifecta and hubs ordered the Chimichanga breakfast. An omelette and Chimichanga were then delivered to our table which was not what I ordered(hey, things happen). I gave back my plate to a server and husband started eating a few bites of the potatoes that were included with his meal. This is the part where I cringe... a server then came and retrieved that dish and served it and the omelette to the correct table. Uhhhhh no. Both of those food items should have been remade and served to the correct table. Health code violation.... First Watch.... please do not let this happen anymore. read more

Fairly good food. I prefer take out for brunch. The dining area is cafeteria style-open and loud. Good for large groups, but not relaxing. This style is a new trend in Chattanooga that I hope dies soon. Maple Street Biscuit Co. has the same issue. Many share my take on this. read more

My wife and I enjoy eating here every now and then, but when we went today, we waited 15 minutes at our table and left due to no one waiting on us. The people were super nice, we just think there was a miscommunication. We saw another table get seated and waited on in less than 2 minutes. If I am paying $12 for eggs, bacon, and toast, I would expect better service. We will probably return again another time, but I wanted to make sure this review was posted so that management could take appropriate action. read more

Food is great here but I gave 2 of 5 stars this time around because I lost my appetite when I noticed that my server had either a hickey on his neck or an open sore couldn't really tell the difference. I don't care what you do on your own free time but you should be more professional when you're at work. Hopefully next time I don't have that experience. read more

I eat here most every week for brunch, and sometimes 2-3 times a week, since I know I will have a good experience, get healthy food, and a good value for my money. Breakfast at first watch with the family is never outright disappointing and the food is always satisfying - the million dollar bacon is always a hit with everyone at the table! However, as my family regularly chooses First Watch as our Sunday brunch spot, we have consistently run into issues with food delivery times, sometimes waiting up to 10-15 minutes for a dish to arrive after everyone else at the table has received theirs. My family and I went on a Sunday morning for a family brunch! To say it was delicious and wonderful is an understatement! From the moment we walked in to the time we left, it was a wonderful experience! Our waitress Jenny, was absolutely amazing! She had great recommendations, was very knowledgeable about the menu, was very sweet and kind, and did a great job attending to us! The manager was also great! First Watch is my go-to restaurant for Breakfast or Lunch wherever I travel. So many delicious and unique options. The Chickichanga and the Floridian French Toast are my favorite breakfast items. For lunch I love the Pecan Dijon Salad and the Ham and Gruyere Melt. Wash it down with a cool Kale Tonic. Service was quick and friendly on opening day (I've been waiting for this restaurant to open) and the manager, Chris, was all over the dining room talking with the guests. I decided to bring my family in on Monday and the place was very busy. We were quoted a 20 minute wait time but were seated in 10. The manager was directing the staff how to seat the restaurant and you could tell he knew what he was doing. The waitress instantly greeted us and we had our food in less than 15 minutes. Which was brought to us by the same manager. The food was even better than the last time. When we left the same manager opened the door and thanked us for coming. Wow! This last visit she actually rolled her eyes at my husband when he asked for his eggs fried HARD. Our business associate responded ..." I don't think she likes us"!
