I had 2 multigrain pancakes, The Works Omelette, and iced coffee. I ordered curbside pickup. The service was amazing and the food presentation was just as good to-go as if I were in person. Whoever organized my to-go order took note that I specified Almond Milk for my coffee but since they didn't have any they still made sure to give me dairy-free silk on the side. Was there about a week ago. First let me say that I know restaurants struggle post Covid but my experience there was simply unacceptable. Long wait before food was served. And once it was served, the scramble eggs were cold for one of my guests. They came back after sometime with better eggs. But my pancake was so cold that the butter would not melt and the eggs over easy were way over done. I told them Inwould eat the egg but requested another pancake. After more than another 15 minutes and NO pancake I asked for the manager. Again another long wait and then was told there was only one manager on-site and she was on the phone. Our waitress was apologetic along the way. We were also told the health department was there and things did not appear to be going well. No surprise based in our experience. I am now awaiting a call back from the health dept for more information on their inspection. More to follow. I have been there several times now and will never go back. I don't often post reviews but this was the exception Would have preferred a conversation with management first but they now have my feedback and I plan to post the health dept results once and if available. read more

I came and placed my name on the waitlist at 9:22am and was told there's a 45-60 minutes wait. So at 10:15 I go back and am told there's 2 ahead of me so I go back to the car and wait At 10:30am I go back inside and am told there's still 2 ahead of me so I wait on the side inside the restaurant. Now, 4 separate couples come in and said they were notified their tables were ready! So I spoke to the manager and she told me that those people signed up on the app which then bumps me down but don't worry there's no one else that signed into the app so I should be next. I finally got seated almost an hour and a half after I put my name on the list. The food there isn't worth an hour and a half wait. It's just they were the only ones open. Just letting everyone aware of this practice in case you go there and wait half the morning to be seated! read more

This is now my favorite brunch location. Both the food and the service were excellent. They offer a broad menu with many new and intriguing items. The breakfast tacos and wide selection of pancake choices are an added bonus. Sidewalk dining was the icing on the cake. I will definitely be returning. read more

Yum! Really good, fresh food with great service. So why not 5 stars? It's expensive as all get out. $15 for breakfast is a bit much. So it will be a place we go to treat ourselves for really good, artisanal food choices. Can't wait to go back for lunch. The new first watch in Chester has done an outstanding job for just opening and considering the Covid restrictions. We have eaten there a few times now and the food and drinks are very good with awesome value. Today Hailey was our server and she did an amazing job. Very attentive, great service. Today marked my roughly 10th visit to a First Watch....8 of which at this location. Arrived about 9:20am. Not too busy; dining room just a bit over half-full. Waitress greeted us within 4-5 minutes, brought a coffee-carafe with her and took our drink orders. She returned about 5 minutes later with our beverages and took our (party of 3) orders. Oatmeal and berry plate, frittata platter and the "Traditional". Straightforward....40 minutes later the Oatmeal and Traditional arrive....No Frittata and the over-easy eggs (yes, both of them) were broken and yolk had spread across the plate...need 2 properly cooked eggs..."OK"; ENTIRE meal refired (took 4-6 minutes) and presented BEFORE the Frittata finally shows up 3-4 minutes later. We've eaten here when the place was full and got our meals in 15-20 minutes. The kitchen needs help...the cook knew those eggs were broken and sent them anyway....can't believe they're trained that's allowable. Food was tasty, good portion sizes and fair prices. read more

Food order was wrong, the service was bad, but polite, the layout of the dinning area is terrible and the to go and delivery orders are no place near the register and causes dinners to have others stare at them while eating. Finally the wait is largely due to several tables sitting dirty for long periods while servers need to be flagged down, in my case to discover the reason much of the food never came out is the server screwed up read more

Great Food and good service. It gets crowded and sometimes the wait is long but the food is always hot and delicious

I ordered the short rib omelet. I ordered the potatoes on the side, which I probably should of gotten the fruit. However, the potatoes were still good. But back to the omelet. The omelet had sautéed spinach that were seasoned to its best potential. The mushrooms and onions were sautéed as well. The best part about them being sautéed is that they weren't too soft, but still had a bit of a crunch to it. They also had fresh mozzarella that was thick and cheesy to the point that when you a piece off, the cheese pulled apart like a KRAFT grilled cheese commercial. The savory beef was nothing short of amazing. Usually beef is cooked too chewy, but in this case, I'm afraid not. They tasted like ribs right off the bone. Last but not least, the Parmesan cream sauce that was poured on the omelet had a pleasant taste of a garlic and lemon. If I could compare it to anything you would be like a white Alfredo sauce but not too heavy on the Italian herbs. read more

My friends and I came in super hungover and didn't know what to expect but what I can say is we were shocked. First off our server Haley was absolutely amazing. I'm a server myself and she blew me away, 10/10. The food was soooooo good and the drinks were fire. I live in Richmond city but I'm driving to this first watch every time. Was absolutely great! Just was in the area and happened to find it on apple maps.My boyfriend and I got the the same meal the trifecta with a waffle and bacon. Which was super delicious .i had the mimosa to drink which i enjoyed because they bring a glass of orange juice and a cute miniature bottle of champagne that way you can decided how strong you want your drink.My boyfriend had a cup of coffee and a sweet tea the coffee was good after adding enough creamer and sugar and he says the sweet tea is like GREAT .The only thing that wasn't spectacular was the ham we personally like sweeter ham but it was not terrible .Overall very delicious and cozy environment will DEFINITELY be returning . read more

The following was our experience with our waitress but she was doing nothing different than the rest of the staff. Our waitress visited us for drink orders, brought drinks and took our orders in a timely fashion, within the first 8-10 minutes for those 3 tasks. She visited us 10 minutes later, not to check on us but to offer an apology for the back up in the kitchen. After that we rarely saw her for the next 30 minutes, with one stretch of 20 minutes that we didn't see her at all. During that time I wanted water and creamer for my coffee but waited most of that 20 minutes before she paid attention to us. Outside of the 20 minute stretch, she hurredly went to tables near us to deliver food or drinks (as it slowly exited the kitchen) but passed right by our table so fast we couldn't even get her attention. The topper was that she would end up with the rest of the gaggle of wait staff in front of the service window...doing what? WAITING...just standing there with the rest of the gaggle. Not paying attention to her tables. The entire wait staff were doing exactly the same thing. This speaks to poor training and lack of leadership. There wasn't anyone who appeared to be in charge visible on the floor nor in the back. read more
