I know buying one waffle feels like a waste of money but it always comes out nice and fluffy and worth it. But today all I got was air. I've found my new brunch spot for fall/winter. First Watch has an amazing new fall menu and I got the opportunity to sample it!! If you're a bacon fan get the million dollar bacon! If you're feeling festive go for the pumpkin pancake. You can wash it all down with one of the fresh juice options! With their delicious menu and friendly staff you can't go wrong! I used to love coming here but since developing a dairy allergy I don't like it at all. Unfortunately staff is not trained on allergy friendly options & menu is not clear on what's available either. I only felt "safe" eating a fruit bowl & sausage links. Incredibly delicious breakfast, friendly service, fresh coffee... what's not to like? This location just opened so everything is brand new. You will absolutely want to come early to avoid the wait. It's a little pricey, but you can taste the difference in the quality of the food. They also have a really nice patio out front that would be perfect for summer mornings. read more

Excellent food, excellent service, fresh ingredients, all around a really great place! We particularly love their whole grain artisan toast slices and house jam. So delicious! I don't even want to know the carb count! We've tried several omelettes: Chile Chorizo, Inspired Italian, The Works, and the Bacado. All were excellent! Kiddo prefers the Multigrain Pancakes and can't finish them - they're huge! We almost always choose the Mixed Greens for the entree side item. It is a mix of spring greens with a vinaigrette that perfectly matches the flavors of the greens. Not too heavily or lightly dressed. They have a rewards program with perks for your birthday and signing up. A fall special is a plate of maple bacon - I think it was called Millionaires Bacon - not a fan. We love bacon in this house, but that was really too sweet. We couldn't even finish it. Really, I wouldn't ask for anything different. read more

Ice tea with lemon and a fresh squeezed OJ began my experience and farm house tacos exceeded my expectations. It appears things have slipped backward. Having had a cold meal in the past, we now always specify that we expect our meals hot. Up until yesterday, this has been effective and the meals were usually double plated on a hot plate. Yesterday, the server assured us the meals would be hot. They were not. He also neglected to bring my wife's milk and OJ. We had to ask the server who brought our meals to get them. I tried something new by getting the ham and cheese omelet. Meh. A lump of sliced ham and a slice of cheese folded in two eggs with another partially melted slice of cheese on top. Plus keep in mind the whole meal was but luke warm. We got in fairly quickly after adding ourselves to the wait list. We waited about half an hour for our food which consisted of a child's pancake, a child's French toast, the special huevos rancheros, and a BLT. This spot was okay. Maybe I should've gotten something else but just didn't satisfy me the way other eggs Benedict do. It I think was just lacking flavor and yes I did put salt and pepper even hot sauce on it. It was too plain, the hollandaise sauce wasn't there just tasted like egg yolk. The coffee is good strong. Only negative thing is that they didn't have basic white sugar they only carry raw sugar, Steva, or the other fake sugar like sweet and low. So it was hard to sweeten my coffee the way I enjoy it. I liked the potatoes, if you like onions it has a strong onion flavor. I know my partner didn't like the potatoes because he said it tasted like onions but that's just him. They should've stated that that the potatoes have onions. Also he was annoyed that they buttered both sides of his toast and that you could still see the butter. They should've stated what jelly they had available because they just gave him strawberry and he's allergic to strawberries. So that was interesting, he asked if they had grape or mixed berry and they were out of both which that was ridiculous so at the end he didn't eat his toast nor potatoes. I ordered the eggs Benedict, I tend to order this almost always when I see it on a menu. They had several to choose from . I opted for the bacon eggs Benedict, especially when they describe it as piled high with bacon and covered in hollandaise sauce. Unfortunately this was the most tasteless bland I have ever had. Their idea of piled high bacon were two strips laying side by side on a small piece of ciabatta bread, The hollandaise sauce that was suppose to cover it I could barely see and what was there had no flavor whatsoever. When my first order arrived the poached egg was hard boiled. I returned it and the second attempt the egg was poached correctly. Just a really disappointing dish, very poorly put together. read more

First off, let me say that I usually go to the location by the Dayton mall, and the food and service at that location are fantastic. But this new location just falls flat on delivering....service is hit or miss, and the food is really inconsistent. Egg white omelette are not really meant to be served with uncooked runny eggs, but my server rudely informed me that "that is how they are supposed to be" when I complained. My husbands eggs were also not cooked properly. Do yourself a huge favor and just go to a different First Watch location to get a good breakfast and service. read more

It's healthy, hip, and casual. Your personal tastes will entirely determine how much you enjoy the food, since much of the options are trendy at the moment, and it's hard to compare the quality to more conventional diners. It's certainly good quality food, but nothing especially impressive to my taste buds. The million dollar bacon is worth a try. The staff is friendly, but once again not to an impressive level. My husband and I have been to the First Watch in Kettering multiple times so we were excited when this one opened as it is much closer to our home. We stopped in on a Saturday morning and the first thing I noticed is there was plenty of places to park, which can be an issue at some of the other First Watch locations in the area. The restaurant was very spacious with lots of tables to choose from. We noticed our table and other tables around us were built from reclaimed wood, which was an interesting touch. I decided to go to first watch instead of Panara. I ordered the elevated egg sandwich. When it came out the food looked great, but there was a bug crawling on the plate. Not a fly or a gnat but a several legged scurring bug (I hesitate to say roach because it may make me ill). I showed the waitress who took the plate and ordered something else. The next food was fine, but now Im quezy. No manager came over to talk to me. Nothing. Then they deliver the bill of my second pick without another word. Huge disappointment!! Put my name on no wait before coming. Was told 20-40 min. We waited 1 hour and 10 min. Quite a bit off of the wait time. We arrived 10 min after I checked in to no wait. I asked if we could get a cup of coffee after checking in. She said there was complimentary coffee in the entry way. I went to get it and it was empty so I mentioned to her that it needed to be refilled. 40 min later the coffee was refilled. Upon sitting down we ordered immediately and asked for coffee with milk. We got the coffee but was short a cup. When the cup never arrived we got up to take a cup off of a table. Now we waited for milk and asked again. There was no cream on the table either. Finally we stopped a hostess to get us milk. Food took a long way to come out - over 35 min. It was la warm at best and clearly items were premade - not fresh. They are constantly good no matter what location I go to and the food is good. They have healthy dishes if you want. I like their teamwork approach on how they handle getting food out to guests which saves time in getting food. The app also saves time in waiting to get seated, as we can get in line when we are 30 minutes out to getting there when we are getting out of Church, etc. read more

I always love coming to first watch and I haven't had a bad meal there to this day. The reason I am writing this review is because of their cold brew. I was looking forward to this new addition to the menu! It was terrible! It tasted like extremely watered down coffee! I understand not everyone likes their coffee strong but I almost can't taste the coffee. Very disappointed and a waste of money for sure. I'm hoping it was a bad batch, if not they need to take a second look at how they are making their cold brew. read more
