Interesting atmosphere with high ceiling and vintage, mechanics exposed. Molly our waitress was great. She was friendly and helpful. I was surprised that a breakfast/lunch restaurant would have a bar. She explained it wasn't exactly a bar but they do pre-fill various sangria, Mimosas, etc. Cousin ordered kale salad (she had never had kale). Kale can be difficult and as I always say, "kale needs a friend". First Watch found a friendly supportive family of mixed greens with maple-roasted carrots, chicken breast, dried cranberries, slivered almonds and shredded Parmesan tossed in our refreshing maple-lemon vinaigrette. It was delicious! We both bought orders of the million dollar bacon and intended to take it home: did not happen: we couldn't stop eating it and finished it right then and there. Great food. The menu looked pretty good, but the food was awful. I ordered the Market Skillet Hash with eggs over easy, and I ordered online To-Go. I thought this would be the healthy option, with whole wheat toast and all veggies, but when I opened up the meal, the toast had already been buttered (I always get my toast dry, and shame on me for thinking that they would put butter on the side - or not include it with the meal, like they did with the ketchup). Next, I noticed that the egg whites were runny. I'm not clear why "over-easy" somehow translated into "raw." That's not the worst of it, though. When I took a taste, the chef must have dropped the salt shaker in this meal, as it was completely unpalatable. This was a thoroughly disappointing breakfast, which I vow never to repeat. Visiting Hershey for the weekend and needed a place to eat breakfast (my favorite meal of the day). They have a slight wait, but definitely worth it!! I got The Trifecta and asked them to swap the waffles for the French Toast. Fresh, would be the word I'd use to describe the place. Felt like I was eating a peaceful morning breakfast at a farmhouse in the country. The portion size was a little small, but not enough to downgrade to 4 stars. The ambiance of the place is nice too and the plates the food is served in also has a nice collectors, small town, country-side-hospitality look to it. 10/10 would come back to try other items off the menu. read more

Spent 2 days in Hershey and had breakfast at First Watch both days. We had a large party...6 adults and 2 kids. They were able to accommodate us with a great table both days, a Friday and a Saturday, around 9 AM. The servers were so friendly and efficient. We each ordered something different and everyone thoroughly enjoyed their breakfasts. I ordered a skillet the first day and blueberry pancakes the second day. Both were freshly made and delicious. My son ordered the Classic Eggs Benedict. He said it was great. The standout was the multigrain toast and the homemade jam! Yum! The coffee was awesome as well. The kids ordered pancakes and the granola bowl with yogurt off the kids menu. They were both very happy. First Watch is conveniently located on Chocolate Ave. right in the heart of Hershey. We've come here several times and it's usually really good, although service is hit or miss with how slow it can be. This most recent take out visit was really disappointing though. I have an extreme dairy sensitivity and typically they are so accommodating which is what I love about this place. But this time they ignored my request for no cheese and no butter. And they forgot to put avocado on the hash, which was quite heartbreaking as I'm pregnant and on a huge avocado kick right now. Oh well. We'll keep coming and keep trying, I just hope they can pay closer attention to requests as it's a pretty big deal for us. read more

This is by FAR the BEST place to eat in this entire area! I just knew I was going to have to sacrifice my health conscious nutrition regime for junk, crappy food. Not in this place! It's a true health nut haven! I cannot believe this is a franchise! I want one! Breakfast, brunch, lunch, superfoods, organic, natural, and homemade items. Cage free eggs. All natural meats. Specials change every month for fresh seasonal items! Coffee is super good. Super juices are phenomenal! I had the crab omelette with artisan grains toast homemade preserves and organic lemon dressed greens...I demolished it. My kid (who is used to my organic lifestyle) had the whole grain chocolate chip pancakes with maple bacon and the summer blush juice (watermelon, pineapple, Fuji apple, lemon & mint), and she demolished it. This was so special to me I ordered a superfood bowl togo because I know I won't get a healthy option at Hershey gardens or Hershey park no matter how much they try to say it's a healthy "option". If you're an organic nongmo all natural healthnut like me, or just trying to get a healthy "option" please check this place out! They meet true healthy with mad wicked flavor that actually gets my approval of a truly healthy venue. Our server was Shelly, and she was awesome. Sweet, friendly, knowledgeable of the menu, and attentive. She gets my two thumbs up. The ambiance is so simple, rustic touches, creative, and comfortable. Kept clean. Bathroom clean (enough, people can be slobs). We signed up for the eclub and received a BOGO to come back or use at any First Watch. They also have an App to put your name on the waiting list when you're on your way and there's a wait to get seated. We will use this tomorrow for a Saturday brunch. Thanks to Shelly for that advice! UPDATE: We went to Saturday brunch. NATALIA was our server and my kiddo loved her too. She devoured the Bacado omelette & toast. I loved the quinoa breakfast bowl and again the AM Breakfast bowl! Healthy and delicious! My favorite brunch in Hershey! Love the drinks, entries and dishes

The food has always been prepared well. There are some flavorful options for those on dietary restrictions. The specialty juice drinks are a nice change of pace. The staff has always been helpful and conversational. Only hang up is the price as some items are more expensive than other establishments in the area, especially for standard fare items. The more creative dishes are more worth the cost. read more

This is a great place to have breakfast. Went with my family last Saturday and was impressed with the creative dishes on the menu. I can't speak for everything but I had the Farmhouse Hash which was eggs on home fries with cheese bacon and avocado. It was yummy. My kids got the kids French toast and the kids pancakes and they both cleaned their plates. Even though the restaurant was busy we had put our names in online so we had a short wait when we got there. Using the online check in is key as the place is very busy on the weekend. Visiting from NYC, we found this restaurant on Yelp and the 4 stars helped make this brand new trendy restaurant (open for 1 month now) our first spontaneous choice for my wife's birthday and our 2 young children. It was a Sunday and we just checked out of Hershey Lodge. We only needed to drive a few miles so just minutes away, but in advance we used the Yelp function to add ourselves on the wait list which in real time updates you on the total number of parties ahead of you. The restaurant offers this wait list service on their website/mobile app which added to the appeal of our choice and which in our opinion worked out in our favor. I noticed we only had to wait 20min past our 11:30am registered reservation time (you still need to complete the process and check in with the hostess) while walk-ins were being told one-hour waits, some of whom didnt want to queue up. (I dont blame them. I myself had a 3hr drive ahead of me.) I also noticed we were seated way before some of the parties that arrived there before us, and that there were at least 10-15 other parties already there. Complimentary self-service coffee while waiting was another huge plus. Besides all of the above, the staff were genuinely hospitable, food was delectable, ambience was charming, good value for money and they do have a kids menu with activity sheet. After receiving our check from the waitress, you leave and pay at the front where the hostesses are, which explains why there were 3 staff members there. Probably more efficient this way! read more

Then wait a little longer before you have your order in to wait a little looooooonger before you have your food. All the meal ingredients are locally sourced with smaller (than what I'm used to) portion sizes. We usually end up ordering 3 items between my wife and I. The items I've had so far were very tasty but I can't say that First Watch will be at the top of my list to impress guests for a b-fast, lunch or brunch. I was their first customer for the day, so of course the service was great. I was going "no carb" so I didn't try the toast or potatoes, but I bet they were good! Coffee was rich and bold. Our first time here (group of 5 on a Sat around 8am) was great! Food and service were very good. Our second visit here (2 people on a Sun around 830am) was bad. The restaurant was about half full but it took over an hour for our order to come. People near us who were seated well after us got their orders before ours. When our order finally came, mine was wrong. I brought this to the attention of our server, and she was apologetic and put in a new order. When it hadn't come 15 mins later, I asked for a to go box. The order came out, but was missing toast. At that point I was hungry and annoyed that my order was now screwed up twice & I didn't want to keep waiting, so we left. Our server did give us my entree for free, and it was delicious when I ate it at home, but how many times can you screw up an order of eggs?! We'll probably give this place one more shot because the food is very good, when it comes out right. read more

Now the place has only been open for a week or so.. so we took that into account when it came to the timing of the food delivered to our table. The food was hot, delicious and our server was nice (Jasmine) and accommodating. Would for sure come back again, I want to try some other things on the menu. Based on some good Yelp reviews, we tried First Watch in Hershey last Sunday morning--it was a good choice for breakfast. Our party of two couples and one child lucked out in arriving around 8:30, before the crush. We were quickly offered seats at a 10-top near the door, and were then stared at by the many groups that arrived after us (eventually another couple were offered seats at the other end of our table, which was fine with us). The place stayed very busy throughout our meal. We quickly got some good coffee and dove into their attractive menu (which had caught my eye online). Our group's order included a summer crab omelet and a cornbread carnitas bowl, from the seasonal offerings, a "power wrap" and a waffle for the youngster. The food came out reasonably quickly (a bonus when you're trying to avoid eye contact with hovering masses). Everyone was happy. The wrap drew raves from a dieting loved one, the waffle disappeared quickly, the crab omelet got the thumbs (claw) up. My cornbread carnitas was interesting but not real exciting, with lots of black beans, a couple poached eggs, some crispy pork bits. We also got sides of cheese grits (serviceable) and "million-dollar bacon" (a bit sweet). Overall, an upgrade from most diners, better food and adequate service. This is one of our favorite breakfast spots. We always get the million dollar bacon and holey donuts, and then try and share new entrees each time. I think my favorites so far have been the lemon ricotta pancakes and the carrot cake and pecan pancake. I love having a whole carafe of coffee on the table, too. The restaurant is spacious and clean. Stopped here for breakfast on day two of our Hersheypark trip. We got there shortly after they opened on a Wednesday morning; they were not busy and we got a seat immediately. The menu had a good selection and we both had the pancakes. The pancakes were advertised as BIG but I wouldn't say they were anything special as far as size, they were large but not gut busting. I was expecting them to cover the entire plate but there was room for the two eggs and bacon I had also ordered. We had the banana nut granola and the the chocolate chip; both tasty. Coffee was rich and strong, I liked it. Server was attentive and gave us great service. Holy Toledo this place is sooooo good! The biscuits and turkey sausage gravy lured me in when perusing local menus, and it was better than anticipated. The biscuit was light and fluffy with the perfect texture and the gravy was creamy with tons of flavor. Ordered coffee and to my surprise saw they offered dairy free creamer, so that made breakfast even better :) Atmosphere was inviting and staff was happy and friendly.
