We have had First Watch in Colorado in the past so knew what we were walking into. Everything tastes fresh and is always so flavorful. Waffle was straight and to the point - perfect texture and light. Cheese grits were so so so good. They had the perfect amount of salt and pepper and perfect amount of cheese. Potatoes are always great, the sautéed onion always add a good touch. Morning Meditation drink was good. A drink that has great health benefits is always good. We've been to this location 2-3 times and I am still hoping one day they add steak to their menu. We took my parents here because my mom is vegan and my dad is a more "meat & potatoes" guy. So, it's always a challenge to find somewhere they can both be happy. My dad ordered the traditional breakfast since they didn't have a steak and enjoyed it with their pork sausage. He even gave me a bite and it was very impressive! I personally ordered the salmon frittata with gluten-free bread (which is available at no extra charge). The potatoes were average but the frittata was fantastic! The sauce on the top brought all the flavors together perfectly. I didn't have any coffee, but noticed they had SILK non-dairy creamer on the table. Definitely great if you're lactose intolerant or vegan. A dear friend of mine wanted brunch today and First Watch did not disappoint. The service was friendly and the food was divine. The soup of the day was Italian wedding soup and it was on par with the soup from Bravo (my fav). I ordered the ham and gruyere sandwich as well and it had great flavor. Our first time at the location! When called to check on waiting time. The person who anwered the phone was very friendly and she suggested to register online and add our names to the waiting list. Our waiting time once register was 30 min. Upon arrival we waited in the car until a text was received that our time was ready. Our waitress was friendly and very helpful when we asked about what to order. Our food was delicious and fresh -and it came fairly fast! We order a few side dishes and drinks -beside coffee. An order of the famous million dollar bacon! Which is a MUST!! an order of seasoned squared potatoes - these came with some larger pieces that were undercooked. They probably took them out to quick and not enough time to cook the big pieces. The waitress was very sorry and apologized and took them of the bill. As drinks goes: there is MORE then just mimosas! We hit the "sweet spot" on Sunday morning (around 9AM) and got in just before the rush. We had a party of 6 adults and 2 kids and were seated without a wait -- nice when traveling with 2 young ones. The service was very good and our server was very nice and efficient. Everyone ordered something different and the orders were all correct. I was a little surprised that not everything came out at the same time and I was even a bit more surprised that the meals for the 3 and 4-year olds were the last of the 8 meals to come out. I would think that restaurants would tend to try and serve the kid's meals first. My omelet was very good and my wife's pancake was also good BUT she was surprised that the pancake (big) was served with just a single pat of butter and I was surprised that the "$4.50 side of bacon" that we ordered to share consisted of just 4 strips of bacon. The bacon was good but - really, $4.50 for 4 strips of bacon -- a little pricey. You can always tell how good a place is by how many people are willing to wait for a table and how hard it is to find parking...so I knew from the second we pulled up, there must be something good about this place. I've heard nothing but good things about First Watch, so I had to try it for myself and brought the family along. Honestly, everything on the menu sounded fantastic, making my mouth water as I read through the descriptions. I finally settled on a healthy option with the Power Wrap...an egg white omelet with turkey, spinach, roasted mushrooms, and mozzarella cheese wrapped in a tomato basil tortilla. I dipped the wrap in the fresh pico de gallo and green chilies to give it a little heat, because that's how you kick it up a notch for breakfast and that's how I roll. The wrap was amazing...tasty to the last bite and filling. My son had their French toast, which I tried a bite of...honestly it may very well be the best store made French toast I've ever had; it was mouth wateringly delicious. My wife had the carrot cake pancakes...I'm not going to lie, I'm a sicker for anything carrot cake. It was good, but there was something missing...the cream cheese icing. If only they had some kind of cream cheese icing syrup it would have been over the top amazing. Overall the food was really good, but there was just something missing from the entire experience...the next level customer service. Our waitress was good and so was the staff, but the customer focus just wasn't there...no extra smiles, having to wait for a long period of time to ask for a napkin because our waitress had so many other tables to wait on, and those kind of things. Been to way too many First Watches. I used to frequent this one because a lot of people love it. It's definitely a great place for families and college students. Parking isn't awful but can fill up quickly. There's usually a wait, but never too long. I've probably tried just about everything on the menu by now. The food satisfies and is decent. It's nothing to rave about. Just standard food. I like how modern it is though. Lots of wood and gray colors. It's calming to eat here. It's a get in and get out kinda place though. Breakfast here today was awesome! We were seated and the server was over promptly to get our drink order. I love that the bring over a pot of coffee for the table and have nice big coffee cups. I had the BACADO omelet with the seasoned potatoes and a slice of the multi grain toast. The eggs of the omelet were perfectly fluffy and it was filled with just the right amount of cheese bacon and avocado My husband went for the CHICKICHANGA. It was filled with whipped eggs spicy chicken, chorizo, green chilies, cheese, onions and avocado rolled in a flour tortilla. Topped with Vera Cruz sauce and sour cream. I would say that Louisville really doesn't need any more brunch places ... but ... who am I kidding? Brunch can be the best meal of the day. Bring on big meals before noon! So I was very excited when fellow Yelp Louisville Elite Ashley D. suggested that we grab a morning bite at perhaps the newest brunch resto in Louisville, First Watch. Now as I said, Louisville is flooded with brunch options -- heck, even the ice cream shops offer brunch of some kind here, it seems -- so it can be hard to stand out. And First Watch has what you would expect of a bruncherant, i.e. waffles, omelets, French toast, pancakes, etc. But there are enough surprises buried in its menu to warrant a special trip. For example, I spied: * French Toast Monte Cristo, made with sourdough French toast, ham, turkey, melted Swiss and dijonnaise, dusted with powdered cinnamon sugar. * Killer Cajun omelet, made with white-meat chicken breast and Crimini mushrooms, onions and Monterey Jack and served with a Santa Fe sauce. * Pesto Chicken Quinoa Bowl, with kale, carrots and tomatoes topped with grilled lemon chicken breast, basil pesto sauce, feta crumbles and herbs. * Floridian French Toast, which is sourdough French toast with wheat germ and powdered cinnamon sugar, banana, kiwi and berries. It was hard to pick my first First Watch meal, but I settled on the Parma Hash -- two eggs atop a hash of potatoes, Italian sausage, Crimini mushrooms, onions and tomatoes with melted Parmesan, mozzarella and herbs. (First Watch really likes its Crimini mushrooms; they're in several dishes. But I'm a mushroom fan, so no complaints here.) I got my eggs over easy, which made them runny over the hash -- delicious in my book. The hash was different than some of the offerings I've had at other places in town. I liked the subtle spiciness of the sausage with the potatoes that were cooked correctly (not too hard or mushy). And the Parmesan added a bit of extra saltiness. This dish came with some English muffins and fruit on the side. Altogether, it made for a filling breakfast. Our server was prompt with the coffee, and I needed it that morning. It was a lovely meal. When we arrived at 12:45 on Saturday the hostess told us we would have a 10-15min wait. Actually, our wait was only 2 min. That was a nice surprise. The decor touts "freshness". Our server was peppy, helpful and informative even before she found out it was our first time eating here. She has suggestions for their most popular dishes based upon our level of hunger. I ordered the Via Veneto. It's an omelete with Italian sausage, roasted tomatoes and red peppers with fresh herbs, mozzarella and Parmesan cheese. Although the place was really crowded, the wait for our food was not long at all. The first bite of my omelet was a little bit of lusciousness. All of the ingredients were wonderfully fresh and flavorful. The potatoes had the right combination of crunchy and softness; the omelet was light and fluffy and the Italian sausage inside had a delightfully distinctive taste. I thoroughly enjoyed each delectable bite of this wonderful omelet. From childhood, when IHOP was my definition of "classy breakfast food", I can't seem to eat an omelet without having a pancake for dessert. Years later, I realize there is a place for IHOP, its just not anywhere near in the same class as really good brunch restaurants, such as "First Watch". So, because I needed something sweet, we ordered one of the Multigrain pancakes to share. We got a huge Pecan Pancake with chopped pecans inside. It was light and airy, and made me want another one. They also put a pitcher of water on the table, which is great because the waiters don't stop by often. The waiter also was really rude and not accepting of me asking questions. When I didn't know what I wanted right away she gave an attitude and walked away. The other thing I don't like is the seating is so crowded you are basically at the same table as the people beside you. It's like catching up with an old friend who's become more fit and pretty. I used to go to the First Watch in downtown Cincy quite often. Although I always liked what I ordered, but there was only one menu item I truly liked. Well, that has changed for this new First Watch! Not only have they ditched that terrible jarred salsa, they have added so many tasty, yet healthful menu items! I had a hard time choosing just one. The Swisshroom Omelet has real house roasted criminis and plenty of Swiss cheese. The fresh greens are dressed lightly with vinaigrette. Parma Hash comes with your choice of eggs over roasted veggies and sausage. Hubby said he enjoyed eating their multi grain pancakes so much, he'd order them again! The interior is a real breath of fresh air! Gone are the fussy curtains and servers in plaid shirts. It is open and bright with airy custom blinds. We got a carry out order of biscuits and gravy today, which is available as a small plate or a platter with eggs and seasoned potatoes. It only comes with 1 large biscuit, which is different than a traditional biscuit - almost like a toasted bun - but you get plenty of gravy. The turkey sausage is flavorful but missed the mark for me and my kids who are accustomed to sausage gravy. We finished our meal but kept saying, "it's not bad, just different". First time coming here for Saturday morning breakie. Greeted by a friendly host and got us on the waiting list--they had said 25 mins but honestly we were sat within 15! Waiter was great, attentive. We put in our orders. And then waited... and waited.. and waited.. I know it's a Saturday but dang we waited nearly 35 mins. Luckily though it was worth it! I got the traditional breakfast subbing mixed greens instead of breakfast meat (although there is a big variety of choices) My eggs came out perfect and everything mouthwatering! The name of the establishment might remind you of a neighborhood watch group (it did for me), but instead, think locally sourced ingredients and a sunny brunch! We found FW via Yelp and waited 20 minutes for a table around 10:45am on a Sunday. Have no fear: complimentary coffee is offered while you wait. Both my husband and I ordered a hash dish. Mine came with bacon, avocados, and tomatoes, and his had bacon and onions. I enjoyed the amount of avocado in the dish and the fact that you can choose how you want your 2 eggs. I did not enjoy, however, the fact that there was a dark hair on my plate underneath the dish the hash was in. Very unappetizing. My husband also did not enjoy the fact that he received one of these surprises as well. Real whomp whomp. The first First Watch I ate at, was in Florida. I really liked the food, so I was excited to see one was opening near me, in Louisville. I finally went, this morning. The service, in Florida, was not very good, but I find it is unusual to get excellent service, in Florida. The service at this Louisville location was fast and friendly. I got the Day Glow Juice, from the Fresh Juice Bar. It was almost as good, as the juice my husband makes me, at home. That is saying a lot. If you don't have a juicer at home, or even if you do, you will like it. I got the Market Hash. It was delicious, but it has goat cheese, so of course it is. Be sure to spread some of the delicious jelly they give you, on the English Muffin, and put some of the goat cheese on it. There is enough, on the Hash, that you can easily do this. It is heavenly! Like every other joint in this town it's too busy on weekends. Even the staff agrees that they need a larger location. The decor is nice. The food is wonderful. Only the menu seemed to have any problems. Not for what was or wasn't on it. But because it was too wordy. Actually not even that. Just all the words were crammed onto two sides of a single page. Five * for the hostess and and server but 1* for my eggs and bacon. My husband and I got the same thing. His were fine but he got 2 bacon pieces I got 1. I'm never going to write a bad review over one visit but this is a review of multiple takeout orders that are always messed up. Good luck getting your food within the time frame they say as it is always 15-40 minutes later than planned. On two occasions I just canceled the order. Also, if you get potatoes always ask for extra crispy because they are consistently undercooked. If you ask for curbside order be prepared to call multiple times for them to bring your food out because they forget or have multiple people running the cashier yo bring out your food and don't communicate. Finally, if you get a takeout order be prepared to full check the order to make sure everything is actually there because they're constantly forgetting stuff. If you ask about the status of your order it is always the same answer "we are backed up more than usual" well this is based off 7-8 orders and the service is always the same. Review for the VETERANS PkWay, CLARKSVILLE, IN. Uh, oh. Here's the only shame about First Watch, it's only opened during breakfast, brunch, and lunch. We had an excellent lunch. We arrived at 2:05. They close at 2:30. Dining at the community table allowed us to be seated right away, instead of waiting. There was only one person seated there when we sat down. Not too much longer another gentleman sat down at the table. Personally, Mike and I like community tables. It allows us to converse with others about the food. We learned from the first gentleman that he really liked First Watch. He said he was a gravy guy. So he ordered the biscuits and gravy today. It has turkey sausage in it. We was reminded of the gravy that was served in the military. He said it wasn't the worst nor was it the best. The second gentleman said that he does like First Watch, but he likes Wild Eggs better. And he shared his Million Dollar Bacon with us! How generous! By the way, that bacon was wonderful. The restaurant was very busy. But it wasn't extremely loud like some busy restaurants. Our server, Erica, brought us a picture coffee and a bottle of water. She was real helpful in giving us time and making suggestions. Our food came out very quickly. Mike had the pick 2-a Monterey club on wheat bread and chicken avocado chop salad. That sandwich looked absolutely delicious. He was enjoying it so much I thought he was never going to stop eating slowly. I tasted the chop salad and it was wonderful. I had one lemon ricotta pancake with marinated strawberries and creamy lemon curd. I love pancakes, but I never order them. I am so happy I ordered this one. Heavenly. I brought half of it home, as it was plate size. I also ordered the power wrap with a fruit bowl. It was served hot and was delicious as well. Look for my pictures. This place is fun and fresh! Louisville is in no short supply of brunch experiences, but I had never been to First Watch, so I decided to give it a try. There is a decent amount of parking, and despite the small building, it feels roomy inside. I tried the Chickichanga, a play on a chimichanga. It has chicken, chorizo, cheese, onions, and avocado inside. It also came with a side of fruit and potatoes. It was rolled up, resembling a burrito. It was not fried like the chinichanga name would imply. (Which is a good thing - a deep fried tortilla at breakfast would not be the most healthy or appealing.) I liked the taste, and the portion was of a nice size for the price. However, it didn't scream breakfast or brunch, so I would probably try a more traditional breakfast next time I go. My brother had the pancake breakfast; I tried a bit, and it was really good! Inside is really nice and rustic, yet sophisticated. You can tell they put effort into maintaining the interior. I can definitely see how the seating could be limited though, so try to go at an off time if you can. Service was fine! We waited a bit for our order, but it was busy, so I can't complain. I also noticed they were selling bags of their coffee and granola on the way out, so I thought that was a cool touch. Overall, while it wasn't the most amazing brunch I've ever had in the city, First Watch is a really cool entry in the Louisville food scene.
