Food was delicious, service was great! No complaints this time The restaurant is always super clean and organized. Samantha is an excellent manager and can be seen doing many different job duties throughout your visit. Most of the employees are super friendly and gracious for you coming in. The dining room is very spacious, with many different seating options (bench and chair), as well as outdoor with umbrellas. Must try the Mint Mocha iced coffee and the Million Dollar Bacon

One of my favorite French toasts options of all time right here! The tart yet sweet lemon curd mixed with blackberry and cookie crumble on top is fantastic. There's other goodness mixed in there as well of course. If you want a great French toast dish, this will never disappoint! Great location, amazing service and lots of seating inside or out. Today I sat outside because we all know what the AZ weather will lot like in a few weeks....capitalize on your opportunities while you got 'em!

The service here was top notch! Our waiter was so attentive and so friendly! I noticed too that every time someone came or left the staff would open the front door to let people in. I thought that was really touching! Our food was great! It came out quickly and was very tasty! We split the gingerbread donut holes - don't skip out! They were delicious! The restaurant was clean and the space looked well taken care of - we will be back!

I absolutely loved this spot, everything was flavorful and super FRESH! It was warm enough for it to hit the spot! Absolutely loved the service & coffee! You sit down to small bowls full of flavor creamers and there's mugs for each person in your party. The server brings you a pitcher of coffee upon being greeted. It's perfectly hot and delicious! I had the Belgian waffle Tri-fecta and a side of potatoes. 5/5! The potatoes were so good and definitely a must try! The turkey burger was so juicy and flavorful too. Kinda wish the server had asked if we wanted something else instead of the greens. I wish the tables weren't as small. We were a party of 5 and it wasn't enough room.

This is not my usual location when I've gone to First Watch, and boy was I impressed with this gorgeous layout! The one on Signal Butte is nice, but I really like this location of Val Vista. The thing all of their locations I have been to have in common is spectacular fresh food and amazing juices! This is one of my favorite brunch places when needing a place more in town as I do my best to support local businesses. Pro tip: you can check yourself online so you wait less time in the actual restaurant. I will do that when I know they are at a 30+ minute wait time on Saturdays or Sundays. Lastly, this is my favorite kind of breakfast/brunch spot - they leave you will a carafe of coffee! You can drink as much as you like without worrying about your cup running empty! Service is always great with other beverages too, so you aren't trying to flag someone down for a refill. Great food, service, and fine juices/cocktails to enjoy by yourself or with company!

The food was not there best. We've had this at the McKellips location and it was delicious. This time the quesadillas was not great in flavor at all, with very little meat. The million dollar potato's were very sweet with some sort of gooey cheese that was not very good. The only thing I enjoyed was my morning meditation drink. Service wasn't all that good also. He brought out sticky drinking glasses and the water has some sort of debris in it. Won't be coming back to this location anytime soon.

One of our favorite brunch spots! I typically get the ham and gruyere omelet and hubby gets the biscuits and gravy. The stars of the show are definitely the multi grain toast and jam and the pomegranate cocktail though!! Always great service and easy check-in online.

We quite enjoyed this freshly made-to-order breakfast spot. First Watch has a few locations. This location is in Mesa. Upon entering, the restaurant was bustling. They had an efficient host who got folks seated in a swift and organized way. Our waitress was welcoming and efficient. First Watch had advertising for their "Tangerine Dream." A freshly squeezed drink with coconut milk but of course I ordered the "million dollar bloody." But honestly even that tasted "freshly made-to-order." Our meals were aesthetically pleasing and belly pleasing. I got their fancy avocado sand-which with butter grits, while hubs enjoyed a waffle, sausage and egg combo. Highly recommend First Watch.

Small problems during my visit- 1. My parents are older and they need booths. The host tried to seat us in a table which was fine, but gave an excuse as to why we couldn't have an open booth. I understood because I have experience in this industry, however, other guests wouldn't understand that. 2. Some creamer spilled on my dad's plate because my mom and dad didn't have a hold on the plate. Precious time wasted cleaning that up. 3. My partner specified details of his dish, yet, it was not fulfilled. This shows me the cooks in the back either made a small mistake or blatantly did not pay attention to detail. Despite all these, the experience was a nice one. I appreciated our server, for she was helpful, knowledgeable, and personable. The store was clean, organized, and was decorated nice. The seasonal menu was divine. Thank you again so much for having us First Watch! You're all doing great!

My first time here. My friend and I came for breakfast on a Friday around 10:30. We were greeted promptly and sat down. Our server Jasmen was amazing! Super friendly, professional, and knowledgeable about the entire menu. Gave us a few recommendations and we loved them. I ordered the Farmhouse Hash and my friend ordered the Lone Star Brisket Hash. The presentation and the flavor of both dishes were incredible. Overall great experience. 5 star for the food, service, and ambience.

We came in with our family and three kids and sat on the patio since we were a larger group. After eating, our kids were sitting in chairs near our table, chatting and moving around a bit. They weren't being loud or disruptive, but a nearby a couple clearly seemed upset. The woman was shaking her head and saying to the waitress "this isn't okay to be doing while people are eating", pointing toward our kids. Once I realized this, I immediately called my kids back over and had them sit with us, and I even let her know that if something was bothering her, she could've told us and I would have addressed it right away. The couple chose to ignore us and left shortly after. The manager then came out and reassured us that Lucky Lou's is a family-friendly restaurant and that our kids were absolutely fine. That meant a lot to us and really showed how supportive and understanding the staff is. I also hope one day that couple realizes how hard it is to keep a 4-, 6-, and 8-year-old sitting at a table for more than 30 minutes without shoving an iPad in front of them. On top of that, the service was excellent, the atmosphere was welcoming, and I honestly had the best burger and tater tots of my life. We'll definitely be back--thank you for creating such a kid-friendly and enjoyable place for families!

The queso was rich without being too heavy, and the mustard added a nice contrast. For my meal, I had the Caesar salad topped with a bistro steak cooked a perfect medium rare. The romaine was crisp, the garlic-anchovy dressing bold, and the garlic croutons and parmesan tied everything together. The steak was tender, flavorful, and elevated the salad. At the table, we also ordered the cheesesteak with Angus beef, roasted peppers and onions, Havarti cheese, and garlic aioli served on a baguette, with sweet potato fries. The sandwich was hearty and satisfying, and the fries were really good The wagyu burger was another standout--topped bacon, Gruyère and smoky blue cheese, caramelized onions, tomato jam, and garlic aioli on a pub bun. The beef and bacon were fabulous and the fries cooked to perfection Jake, our server, was terrific--attentive, friendly, and helped make the whole experience even better. We finished with the butterscotch bread pudding topped with vanilla gelato and caramel sauce, which was the perfect ending--warm, comforting, and just the right amount of sweetness Overall, a great patio dining experience with flavorful dishes, excellent service, and plenty of variety.

Plus, they had a hydration station with water that is much needed in our Arizona heat - thank you! Our server Alex was phenomenal and provided great insights with recommendations. We greatly appreciate it as it was both of ours first time visiting this establishment to try the Arizona Restaurant Week specials. For my 1800th review on Yelp, I couldn't think of a more fitting review - Arizona Restaurant Week helping me venture out to try somewhere new (the Yelp way)! Lastly regarding the experience, it was quite loud due to it being busy, so appreciate Alex repeating somethings over. Thanks for the great service to make this a great night out! What We Ordered: ~ Onward and Upward (Non-alcoholic): my boyfriend enjoyed the flavor, but wild to think a NA drink is $15! He said likely not a do over. ~ Dirty Vodka Martini + Blue Cheese-stuffed Olives: the first outside was not as good as the one at the table. I'd definitely buy another when returning, especially dining in as the olives were delicious. ~ Fresh Pull-Apart Dinner Rolls: very delicious, and we enjoyed! Definitely a splurge as the price point was $12 for 5 rolls. I did find myself wishing they were served with a nice French butter or even a honey cinnamon butter, which would elevate these and help me justify the price point. ~ Arizona Restaurant Week which included a starter, entree, and the selected dessert (boyfriend: Oysters + Sushi selection and me: Caesar Salad + blackened Texas Redfish): Both my boyfriend and I throughly enjoyed and thought it was well worth the $55 per guest price point. Standouts for him were the oysters and sushi, stating they were very fresh. My standout was the delicious redfish, and the sushi as I tried some of his. Everything was fresh and flavorful! We left talking about when we can return for their actual menu versus restaurant week. Love finding great local places via Arizona Restaurant Week. If in the area, stop by this location!

The food came out super slow, I ordered empanadas to start, the waitress said they burned the first order (I appreciated that didn't just serve me overdone empanadas lol) once they finally arrived they were just unfortunately bland, and just kind of lacked authenticity. When she finally brought out my main dish, she even apologized for the wait and said "I had to go yell at them". For a main entree I ordered the French dip with onion rings, another reviewer mentioned they were the best they had had. The meat was kind of tough and dry (which is odd for a French Dip, and everything just lacked flavor. Even the au jus really had no kind of salt or much flavor to it.
