I had terrible service at the bar on Saturday. Dirty dishes were everywhere at the bar and no one attempted to clean up anything. I sat for 8 min before being greeted. I think they may have been trying to get the place closed down for ? It was about 115pm The bartender took my order and absolutely deserted me. I ordered coffee and food but the coffee never came. I had to flag down a server to get some old coffee- it was evidently left over from another table. Yuk The food was disappointing and no one ever came to check on me. She was in the back and never gave me a second thought. The food was overcooked AND yet cold, if I could have found someone I would have asked for ... something? I had to flag down yet another server to get more coffee and my check. Had a few words with the server before I left- she was the worst and she knew it. The music is too loud. This is my only complaint, because the food and service are good. Our men's group meets on the outside patio first thing in the morning once a week. Today we couldn't hear ourselves above the very loud music. We asked if it could be turned down, and we were told that corporate controls the noise level. We are considering taking our group (4 to 10 men once a week) to another venue. Honestly, the dining room is so loud anyway. This is a place for meaningful breakfast meetings. More noise hurts the customer experience. read more

Getting a table is slow because there is rarely anyone at the host stand, and the staff in the dining room seems happy to just let you just stand there. If you flag down a server to help you get seated they seem to be a little put out with a "that's not their job" kind of attitude. Were lucky to be seated quickly as shortly after the place really filled up. Initially the server was quite attentive getting coffee and water for us quickly. We were with another couple - our food ended up up coming out in a timely manner . Portions are large - my husband and I decided almost too large and next time we will split. I ordered the farm breakfast with goat cheese - poached eggs added. No complaints and it was quite tasty and enjoyable. For our server Katie she deserves 5 stars how she handles herself during a busy Saturday brunch rush and handling issue that happened on this visit. My food was allegedly accidentally given away to a different table so I had to wait awhile to get my food to be made on the fly even though most of the people at my table were already close to finishing their food . Katie was extremely apologetic that my food arriving way later than everyone else and she had the manager comp the meal bring meal herself. Now this comment is the main reason I'm writing the review she came to the table and uttered the comment "here you go not sure what was wrong with the first plate but here is a new one" assuming I sent the meal back because I wasn't satisfied with the meal(not even really communicating with Katie understanding why my meal was comped BECAUSE my plate was not given to me until that point ) so I thought the comment was rude and unprofessional for a manager say especially if she is the one supposed to be fixing the issue. My friend and I both got eggs Benedict and if you like runny eggs Benedict don't order them here I did want to send them back but we were in a time crunch. I asked Katie if this location usually fully cooked the poached eggs (I hate the taste of boiled yoks) she said yes that it's only the sauce is runny.... Since we were in a time crunch my friend and I didn't send the eggs back and just ate the egg whites (since my meal was comped didn't feel like it was necessary to to press the issue further). My sister's omelet came with a disgusting brown slice of avocado. My quinoa chicken thing was a monstrosity of gloopy, soupy undercooked crunchy quinoa on a slimy broth with a lackluster pesto sauce slathered on top to hide the atrocity. My business partner and I have been going to the First Watch on Riverside Ave, Jacksonville Fl. for about 2 years now. We go every Friday for a Bloody Mary breakfast. The food is usually good and the wait-staff very friendly. In the past couple of months your Waite-staff have been friendly, as usual but there hasn't been enough wait-staff to serve the customers in the morning for breakfast. To wait 15 minutes before being asked what we want to drink. For your menu items to average 15.00 for breakfast, I expect to be served properly and timely. This was over first time here. We both ordered Eggs Benedict-0ne was the Traditional one and the other with Bacon. They were very disappointing... ...when served they were cold and the bread underneath was not toasted We sent them both back --the kitchen apparently put them in a microwave. As a result the eggs were no longer poached, but hard cooked . The ham in the traditional one was cold deli sliced ham--Eggs Benedict are traditionally made with Taylor Ham!! The bacon in the one was ok. Thé hollandaise sauce was nice. The potatoes were fine. The server was friendly and attentive. My family and I went on vacation to Nashville, and so far this has been the BEST food I have eaten! I got Steel Cut Oatmeal I think, and it was amazing!! All of the fruit, and walnuts, and the brown sugar on the side. It just tasted really good. The rest of my family finished all of their food also, and said it was very filling. My BLT eggs Benedict came out looking as if someone had already taken a few bites. One poached egg was undercooked and watery, it broke when I moved my plate. The other was over cooked and looked like half a scrambled egg (there was no yolk..). Not sure if there was hollandaise sauce on it and the avocado was barely there? No dressing on the side salad which made it inedible. I honestly can't believe they let it out of the kitchen. Kitchen timing was completely off, we had one person's meal sitting at the table for 5 minutes before everyone else's food came. Then the food haphazardly arrived and they FORGOT one of the plates we ordered, leaving one of our group sitting hungry for way too long before the waitress even came over who then informed us that they ran out of grits....? At a breakfast/brunch place? And forgot the kids side order. What????? Then we waited in line for twenty minutes to pay our check for our mediocre food, and we had to make changes to one of our checks and the cashier had to make a refund back to one of our credit cards. The atmosphere was less than pleasant. The entire meal we had someone's rear in our face. Either sitting on the windowsill outside where we were seated, or spilling into the dining area. I ordered a breakfast with eggs, bacon, hash row s and toast. Ironically the only warm thing on the plate was the toast. The person that I took to breakfast had a better meal. I also ordered the lemon pancakes. We had a large group last week at a different First Watch and they were delicious. We ordered them for dessert.
