We were super excited when they offered online waiting! Within minutes of arrival we were seated at a table. Then it all went downhill from there! It took more than ten minutes to be acknowledged by a waitress. She brought us dirty glasses of lukewarm water with no ice. I ordered a Belgium Waffle and one egg. My fiancé and I have been going here every weekend since this location opened. We just can't get enough! Food, coffee and staff are always on point. We highly recommend First Watch! Some of our favorites are the pancakes with sugar free syrup, chicken quinoa bowl, kale tonic, chicken sausage patties, French toast and the seasonal menu is always amazing! My first experience here was fantastic. We went to the one on Chicago st. I had breakfast tacos and they were Phenomenal. My second experience was at the one on south 168. It was not good. I was in getting breakfast today and a female manager kept sneezing, coughing, and touching things without washing her hands. This made me very reluctant to eat my food (which I didn't) and wondering what type of hand washing practices or even cleanliness are utilized in the kitchen. Since we are still in an active pandemic it is vital to make sure that cleanliness and sanitation is strongly enforced. And even if we weren't in a pandemic this was totally unacceptable and just nasty. I'm extremely disappointed to see this from anyone who's working at a restaurant but even more disappointed to see this from a person in management. We like First Watch. It is somewhat more expensive than Jimmy's Egg, IHOP, and Village Inn, but the food has more of a homemade feel to it. OMGoodness! This particular review is for Omaha's newest Day Café located near Village Point at 18101 Chicago Street. We arrived about 10AM on a Thursday. There were still several occupied tables inside and out. The interior is quite large and with a fun vibe. Our hostess and server were both hospitable and helpful. The menu had several wonderful choices. Nick ordered the Traditional Breakfast with bacon. No surprise there. His bacon, toast and potatoes were great. Unfortunately, his over medium well eggs weren't. They had runny whites which he really dislikes, but he plowed through them anyway. Next time, he would send them back. I finally decided on the Chili Chorizo Omelette. It might very well have been the best omelette I've ever eaten. The fried potatoes were so good and well seasoned. The artisan toast was almost like dessert with the homemade (?!?) jam on it. Next time will be tough. The ricotta pancakes or the omelette again. Life choices are hard. read more

If you haven't tried their Million Dollar bacon, you don't know good bacon. As always, the food and service were impeccable. I'm so impressed by this location! I also felt a whole lot more comfortable about the staff wearing masks, sanitizing diligently, and the suggestion to use an online menu, as opposed to touching one someone else may have touched. Inconsistent. This is a brand new location but not new to Omaha. We've visited it twice now. The first visit was excellent and encouraged us to come back again. The second visit was not as good. Our 1st visit was about 1:00 in the afternoon during the week. We found it to be noisy but not overly so. My wife had Farm Stand Breakfast taco and thought they were excellent. I had the Elevated Egg Sandwich and also thought that was very good. Our 2nd visit was Saturday Morning about 10:30 AM, a busier time. We used their app and saved a lot of time by booking our time ahead and skipping the waiting line. My wife enjoyed the breakfast tacos so much she ordered them a second time. Not so good this time. The tacos had much more egg and a lot less chicken. They did not impress this time. I got the Traditional Eggs Benedict. It had all the makings of being very good, but was cold. We brought up the differences in the tacos to the waitress and she said that because of the newness of this location, there was inconsistency with the chefs. I imagine that to be true. read more

Had lunch here a few days ago and very much enjoyed our meal. I ordered the chile chorizo omelette. My wife ordered the ham melt sandwich. Portions for both items were good. Food quality and presentation was very good. I had fresh fruit with my omelette and my wife had the soup. All in all a good experience. I was very encouraged by the amount of customers they had. Went to pickup a takeout order and when I arrived, it was the supervisor or manager that told me that she'll go back and check on it. About 5 minutes later, she comes back and tells me that they are packing it up and it should be there in a couple of minutes. Over 10 minutes go by and I'm still sitting on the bench waiting for my order. A young employee then asked me what was the name on my order? She said that she noticed that I have been sitting there for a while. She goes to check on the order. She comes back and tells me they're just waiting on one thing. I wait about another 5 minutes and I get up to ask a different young lady about my order. She comes back and then tells me, "I honestly don't know what happened with your order.
