Visited this place with a guest on Monday around 11:00am. I had heard they had a good breakfast and it was later in the day and so looked for a place for breakfast on Yelp and found this place. Walked in and it was a 10 min wait so we waited. Asked if outside was open they said yes and we were sat. Service was bit slow. Took about 5 min to have some one wait on us and they perhaps because we were outside, took some time to get drinks and food out. When we finally got our food, the food was ok. I had the trifecta. It was ok and not as good as other breakfast places. My guest's experience was horrible. Asked for eggs over medium and the came out way under cooked with runny white stuff all over. By the time server came out, eggs were cold but you could still see they were way undercooked. Asked for more eggs scrambled and when they finally came out, what appeared to be the manager came out to deliver the eggs. Didn't ask or anything but appeared he came to check what we and the server had seen. I apology or anything just, here's your scrambled eggs. Then as my guest starts eating there was a hair in the scrambled eggs. At that point in Time meal was over. Service was slow and whole experience was pretty bad. I write almost all positive reviews and try to give alway the benefit of the doubt but I can't with such a bad experience start to finish. They took care of the price for that plate, which we didn't ask for and just brought to their attention that food was not good or service was not good so I paid for my plate and left a 25% tip nonetheless. Another grest breakfast at First Watch! I waited a couple of visits before doing a review, and have concluded that it's a great place! The food selelction leans to the health-minded people with quinoa, lots of veggies, greens, and "all-natural" spread throughout the menu. But the taste is full flavored and the food is filling. The omelettes are my go-to, the Bacado omelette is fantastic with bacon pieces, cheese, and fresh avocado inside a good size omelet of cage free eggs which is then covered in a dollop of sour cream. I've had the waffles, pancakes, coffee, benedicts, and other menu items and all have been great. Definitely a destination for a great breakfast/brunch/lunch place in SATX. read more

Do not come here during your work lunch because you will be late for sure . Total time spent 1:15 min inside this restaurant . Spent $50 dollars for two , not worth the wait. We hadn't been to Cracker Barrel in over 5 years so we thought we'd go have breakfast today, we waited about ten min. To be seated than we waited for a server. A server helped two tables that had been seated after us and servers just kept passing my husband and I up, after 15 minutes of this we got up told the cashier we were leaving because they hadn't come by our table after accommodating two other tables who had been seated after us, thank you very much. This place is 50/50 to be honest.. we order waffles and French toast with iced coffees and orange juice. The food was good besides the fruit that tasted like it was sitting there for a few days, just weird taste. And their coffees just don't get them, not sweet at all nor flavor, also a cheap brand of orange juice will taste better than the one they have. So go there for the food don't expect much more than that.. giving 3 stars since the service was quick and at least the food was okay-good. read more

My first breakfast in Texas! Finding a small, family owned, home-cooking-style little diner is not as easy to find in Texas as it is in Maine but this chain was "purty darn" close. Although they serve a lunch menu, me and two of my daughters had breakfast. And, it was all awesome. We started with some fresh juice drinks...the Morning Meditation had orange, lemon, turmeric, beet, agave nectar, and organic ginger to get you started. Do NOT pass on the Million Dollar Bacon...four strips perfectly crisped with brown sugar, black and cayenne pepper then drizzled with maple syrup...unreal. I also had the turkey sausage gravy and homemade biscuits...not enough flavor for me but it comes with 2 eggs also. One daughter had the French toast which was, as she describes, "the best French toast I've ever had." My other daughter had the Chickichaanga which she said tasted like a yummy taquito. It came with chorizo and seasoned chicken and fresh avocado. By looking around the place, the avocado was pretty popular. In fact, the avocado toast was delicious. Celebrated my daughter's 21st birthday with brunch at First Watch, Hwy 151. We had a group of 20. Waited about 45 minutes to be seated which was expected. The guy checking customers in at the door was friendly as well as the hostess. Our servers were friendly and worked as fast as they could. Took about 25 min to get our food which was expected because, of course, food is fresh and cooked to order. Everyone said their food was delicious and would definitely come back. The birthday girl has a gluten allergy and loves that they have gluten-free options, especially gotten-free bread lol. NOTE: this location's phones do not work.I tried calling this location a few days ahead to find out about their large group policy, no answer for two days in a row. I called again The day before and finally someone answered. She said their phones do not work, only the one in the office and by chance she was in the office and heard it ring. She said that you have to join the wait list the morning of, 6 guests is the max online, then in the notes section is where you put the number of people and what time, then to call to confirm. My response was what good is it going to do to call when they don't answer the phone because they can't hear it in the office. Then when I joined the wait list the morning of, there was no comments section. I went ahead and joined waitlist and ended up showing up early to make sure they could seat 20. It all worked out in the end BUT THIS LOCATION NEEDS TO GET THEIR PHONES WORKING. I still gave this location 5 stars based on the service and food. read more

We're visiting San Antonio and are late breakfast eaters and came across this breakfast brunch lunch restaurant. It was near 11am and didn't seem too crowded for a place right next to a hotel. We had a short wait for a booth so we stayed outside in their eating area that had space for our kids to run around until ready to be seated. The environment was a calm chill farm house vibe. I loved the uniforms of dark jeans and black shirts, relaxed and professional. Staff was nice and friendly. We have 2 kids under 3 that can eat! We ordered them the farm stand breakfast tacos with fruit as a substitute for beans for them to share. Delicious! And filing for them. The fruit was fresh and sweet! Whoever picks the fruit, OMG, they are the best! Portion sizes are just right for one adult person. We ordered the Parm skillet hash and another type of skillet hash that was delicious! The tomatoes in it was sooo flavorful. We all enjoyed our meal. It's family friendly as well. I even loved the restroom sink and mirror because the way it was positioned, my toddler was able to reach to wash his hands properly. I would definitely eat here again with my family. We did wait some time for the food to come out but it was fresh and hot and presentable when it finally came to the table. The prices were also affordable. I like sitting in that area due to the decrease in traffic flow and you are not sitting on top of people. I ordered the traditional breakfast with Turkey links add cheese. I didn't realize extra cheese was 1.69 so I will not get order extra cheese anymore. My other half ordered the from the seasonal menu, chicken chimichurri hash. Our order came to our table in approximately 15 minutes. The potatoes were seasoned perfect with the sauteed white onions, the chives in the eggs yum yum, the toast with strawberry jelly scrumptious, and the turkey sausage was cooked well. My other half plate looked like a work of art! I was quite envious of his plate. There was fresh fruit ( pineapple, blueberries, and strawberries). The service was good, a very pretty lady checked on us every 5 minutes and she did the same for the entire recluse section. She informed us about a survey on the receipt and if we complete the questions we get 2.00 off! Awesome, any discount for me is Good! We completed the survey and got 2.00 off, oh yeah! If you're looking for a nice plate of southern biscuits and gravy, don't go here. The gravy is made with turkey sausage (which I'm fine with) and it's not good. The biscuits were dry and who in the hell makes whole wheat biscuits? This place. The "hash" was a little over half a cup of potatoes and they were underwhelming. My eggs were undercooked and overcooked at the same time, I don't even know how that's possible. The only saving grace was nice service (except for the girl at the front) and good coffee. My dog was happy with the leftovers, but he licks his own butt so... If you want quinoa, acai, hibiscus limeade and stuff like that then you'd probably like this place. read more
