Today I had an amazing dining experience at First Watch! From the moment I walked in, the service was outstanding--attentive, friendly, and efficient. Our waitress made sure everything was perfect, I forgot her name but she was blonde and had two ponytails. The food was just as impressive. My husband ordered the Trifecta breakfast, and he said it was cooked to perfection--fluffy pancakes, perfect eggs were over easy as requested and the ham was delicious. I tried The Works omelette with potatoes, and it was so good. This location has lots of seating with indoor and outdoor options. Overall, THIS First Watch is an excellent location as the one in Sterling Heights did not meet my expectations. Highly recommend and will return to this location moving forward. read more

I work for a guy who gave me a gift card for First Watch over the holidays and I finally redeemed it. It's a nice place for a meal: a little bit loud, due to the hard walls and metal ceiling, but alot of places are similar. We try to ignore it because we're here to eat, right? I ordered the Bacavdo omelet and she had avocado toast: we each decided on water, which arrived chilled in a milk bottle with two glasses and a third, larger glass of ice. I like that, as I don't want a glass of ice with added water. My meal was good: plenty of shattered bacon, cheese wrapped in an egg blanket...it came with artisan toast, pico and salad greens, along with strawberry perserves. The greens, most baby spinach, seemed an odd pairing with an egg dish...but I ate it. Her avocado toast came with an over-easy egg, and it's a good thing too, as the avocado was especially bland without tomato or onion. She said it was 'okay' and I usually get more of a reaction from her, so there you are. All in all, it was an interesting breakfast but we'll only be back if I get another gift card: nearly $30 for breakfast is a bit steep for us retirees. I came out to breakfast with my sister and her neighbor. I loved that the online menu had photos of everything they serve. The only thing is that the price is not listed on the online menu. I think that they should include the price as well so that people are aware beforehand. I ordered the Floridian French Toast which comes with bananas, kiwis, and strawberries. It also comes with a small side of a berry compote that was warm. I did ask for syrup as well on the side. My sister and neighbor ordered the eggs benedict blt. All of our food came out super fresh and perfect. There were no issues with the food. The pop I had at first was delicious. The second one tasted off so I thought it was diet. First time at this establishment....wow! Impeccable service by our waitress; Linsey. I want to give a huge shout out to her-she was made us feel welcomed and our experience delightful! Whoever is her manager, please recognize her for the outstanding care and attention she gives her customers in her area, she is truly one of the best waitresses I've ever had. They have tasty coffee, nutty bread and lots of variety. My go to is the Chickichanga. I think they make the tortilla out of eggs!! Their waffles are also good - try the Tri-Fecta. Hubs got The Works, but also gets the AM superfoods bowl. Morning Meditation is a good option if you're not a coffee drinker. Don't forget to ask about their muffins. I'm honestly disgusted with the way my husband was treated at this First Watch location. He went in to pick up our online order, gave them the order number and showed the confirmation email, but because the order was under my name and not his, the staff insisted there was no order and would not look it up by the order number. When he asked if they could remake the food since they had clearly made a mistake, the hostess responded with, "I'm not your wife, and this is America." EXCUSE ME?! What kind of unprofessional, ignorant, and blatantly RACIST comment is that? There is absolutely no excuse for this kind of disrespectful and discriminatory behavior. My husband was calm and polite, and instead of helping, the staff chose to be condescending and xenophobic. Walked in for brunch after going to Waldenburg with the kids. We were hangry and hot. First thing first, convenient location. I've gone to First Watch back home in Vero Beach, Florida and absolutely loved it inside and out. I was not disappointed here either. Once we walked in, we were immediately seated. Our server Lisa was exceptional. Ethan was also serving us and he was amazing too. Quickest service, I have had a pleasure of experiencing. We ordered everything off of summer menu. Shishito Brisket Hash, Strawberry Tres Leches French Toast, Million Dollar Potatoes were our dishes. All three were very tasty and filling. Pretty good sizes too so it fed 2 adults and 3 kids. That alone cannot be beat. For drinks, we got Mint Mocha for my oldest preteen daughter (non caffeneited, score!) , Watermelon Wake-up for my son, and Spiked Lavender Lemonade for my mother in-law and I. Drink's presentation is unique and the taste does not disappoint. I'm all about small things so utensil's wrapping that says "Coffee before Talkie" just makes me giggle. The First Watch location is one of our favorite Saturday morning brunch spots. It's located in front of Kroger, and parking can be a pain sometimes when it gets really busy, but it's one of the best First Watch locations I've been to. The open layout is bright and homey. There's a coffee station when you first walk in, and it comes in handy when you're waiting to be seated. Since this is a busy location, located in a very busy part of town, my suggestion is to use the online check-in feature to hold your spot in line. We do this every time we come and we're seated fairly quickly once we arrive and let them know we are there. The food is delicious! My favorite go-to is the Chikichanga. It's a chicken breakfast burrito essentially and it's very filling! The pancakes are really delicious, my son loves their omelettes and their million dollar bacon is always our go to starter! The food, service and atmosphere is great for a chain restaurant. Not horribly expensive and very good choices. If there was one area of improvement I would note was the seating. We stood in the area in front of the cash register for approximately 30 minutes even AFTER making a reservation. I counted 5 empty tables in the dining room. Ideally its a good idea to get those tables filled even if you have to tell the customer it may be a bit of a wait for staff to get to their table. This makes the lobby a lot less chaotic and customers will be less stressed not being elbow to elbow with others crowding the entrance area. read more

Came here with my daughter, who's a connoisseur of chocolate chip pancakes at her young age. She said it was "pretty good". I think it's probably because this was a "healthier" pancake, if that's a thing. I had the carrot cake pancake, it was also pretty good. Maybe some raisins could elevate that flavor, you definitely got the carrot just not the carrot cake flavor. I walked inside here today excited at 11:00 a.m. to enjoy a early lunch with a Yelp friend. I have been watching, wanting and waiting for this new fresh business to open since Fall when I saw the ground breaking (Digging) and construction work being done on my way shopping to the Kroger nearby. Walking inside was very noisy and felt like the air conditioning was running and running cold throughout my lunch experience. For the 3 hours that I was there 80% of the other guests were wearing their coats. No heat at all to feel the warmth and comfort of a new restaurant to go along with the fresh comfort food. I did my "homework" Sunday by checking out the website to learn about the story of First Watch. This location is not fast food but fresh food with chef's dicing and slicing up fresh fruit and vegetables in the early morning hours before the doors open. "First Watch is a Daytime Café for Breakfast, Brunch or Lunch" only with hours from 7 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. A customer can stop in here to eat their early morning breakfast inside this rustic style restaurant or call to order ahead and grab a breakfast burrito and coffee to go. The chefs prepare and create healthier ways to enjoy your meal with an experience that looks good, tastes good and makes your body feel well and healthy. Looking on the website shows food dishes from the griddle, omelets and frittatas, egg dishes, power bowls, healthier side, and classic favorites along with sandwiches, soup and salads. They offer sides and small plates and kids menu. Beverages = Sunrise coffee, cold brew, iced coffee, herbal teas, iced tea unsweetened black and breakfast juices and coke soft drinks. Vegan, Vegetarian, Gluten Free = Yes Parking Lot = Very spacious since they have their own lot. Restroom Women's = Small yet Acceptable with stalls, 1 regular, 1 handicap, 1 sink and 1 do-it-yourself paper towel dispenser not sensor or touchless. The Juice Bar has only 2 choices @ $3.99 each. I ordered the "Morning Meditation" when blended contained great flavors with the ingredients of Orange juice, Lemon, Turmeric, Organic Ginger, agave nectar and beet juice. (Photo attached) My lunch choice was 2 For YOU which can be half a sandwich or a small salad or a cup of soup. Price= $7.79. My choice was 1/2 a Monterey Club sandwich consisting of layered turkey, leaf lettuce, tomato slices, mayo, cheese, crispy bacon on a toasted sourdough bread and a cup (not a bowl) of tomato basil soup. Both my choices were fresh, hot and delicious to taste and enjoy. We also share an order of the "Million Dollar Bacon" (photo attached) which tasted wonderful from start to finish. Our platter consisted of 4 slices of hardwood smoked bacon, brown sugar, black and cayenne pepper with a maple drizzle syrup for $4.99. for that price where was the Bourbon booze ? :) The soup of the day was vegetable. Note: The menu only has 2 soups daily. My negative opinion only 2 soups in the winter of cold days, is not enough soup choices. Also when you order a half of a sandwich and soup should always be a bowl not a cup. My final comments and opinions: 3 strikes here. I can understand this new business has only been open a few weeks but I hope my 3 issues can be understood, addressed and corrected within a few weeks or a month ? or I seriously will NOT be back. 1. The website has NO prices on their Menu. This location also had NO prices on their menu. WHY is this ?? The chalkboard on the wall with January special items no clue, no prices. Lucky for me I had a $20.00 bill to spend on my lunch which to me was highly priced $17.78. We waited 10 minutes in line to pay our bill up front by the door. 2. The employees do not wear or have name tags so that's a bad way of connection and communication with a guest and server. I asked our server her name when my order was delivered to our table in a timely manner and to say thank you "Savannah" for your pleasant personality and fast service. No manager to be seen walking around checking on tables, food or guests. 3. I called the corporate office on the phone at 4:30 p.m. in Orlando, Florida to get answers for my questions and also give my feedback and experience today and no answer. Only A recording saying they were closed to call back during regular business hours. Not cool. If my phone call or Yelp review is acknowledged with intent to correct and improve issues and errors here, I may be back to try a healthy breakfast with their sunrise blend of coffee. I had eagerly anticipated the opening of this fresh, new restaurant in our area. My first impressions were that the business was bustling, it's a cheery, modern farmhouse type of decor with lots of wood.... wood tables, wood seats, wood floor and wood decor. The ambience was quite welcoming, the ceiling was high and the restaurant had a nice open feel to it. It was a bit loud which I attributed to the high ceiling or the wood decor of the restaurant. We were seated at a table and I noticed the temperature was a bit cold. In fact after a while, I had to put my winter coat back on just to be comfortable for the rest of my visit. There were water glasses already on the table, but I guess you have to ask for water because the waitress didn't ask us if we wanted our glasses filled. I was glad I looked over the menu online the day before because there are no pictures on the restaurant menu and pictures do help if you're undecided on what to order. I must say, the pictures online all looked very good and I knew exactly what I wanted to order due to my preparation beforehand. I ordered the '2 for You' which was the Monterey Club and the Sweet Honey Pecan salad. The half sandwich was good, not heavy or filling but the salad I'd say was even better. The sweet honey pecan dressing sure made the greens taste delicious. We shared a side of the Million Dollar Bacon and it was oh, sooo good.... A definite recommendation to try it. My drink of choice was the Kale Tonic which really hit the spot. It was a little heavy on the ice, which I would ask for minimum ice next time, but a really good juice drink. We did have to ask to have our plates removed from the table and we weren't asked if we needed any water to finish off our meals or if we wanted another drink. I'd say the price point and food are similar to Panera, although First Watch has many more enticing and unique breakfast and lunch dishes that will keep customers returning to try them all. Panera though is warmer as far as temperature and has a warmer and quieter atmosphere. The restroom has two stalls and was in good condition. I liked the mirror and the light above it, which went along with the farmhouse decor. The line to pay was long. Probably because they close at 2:30 and everyone was finishing up and paying around the same time. As I waited to pay, I noticed they have their Columbian coffee for sale in bags at the register. They also have gift cards at the register if you're looking for a gift for the difficult to buy for person. Also, while waiting to pay, I noticed they have their app to download. You can sign up for their emails and rewards club as well. It deserves a second visit just for the opportunity to try another unique dish. Hopefully it'll be a bit warmer inside. I teetered between 3 and 4 stars but the menu choices bumped it up to a 4 because I want to return so I can try another sandwich, salad and juice drink and maybe a breakfast too. Also bumping it up was the fact that they feature fresh, seasonal produce from local growers whenever possible. They have some gluten free choices as well as vegetarian and I'm sure you can request to have meat omitted if you want a non-meat item since everything is made to order. We went and checked this place out today for lunch and it was okay but nothing great. I think the coffee was dark roasted because it was very strong but not bad and I had the turkey burger and it came with a arugula salad that was very fresh but had only lettuce and nothing else. I would like tomatoes and cucumber and celery or something else but this is what they call a salad. The turkey burger was great but after I got home something in the seasoning or something bothered me and I was sick for most of the night but not there fault it was one of the best turkey burgers I have eaten. My wife had biscuits and gravy and it was one of the best she has ever eaten and she did give me a bite and it was delicious. The service was very good and the price was good and seeing the pancakes being served I will try them next time.
