At 9 am there was no wait and we were seated immediately. We sat at our table for 20 minutes without being acknowledged, so I decided to go let the hostess know, since the parade of servers that never made eye contact didn't seem to notice or care. The hostess was apologetic and apparently alerted our server, who came over within a few minutes to take our drink order. We ordered coffee to drink and avocado toast to start with because we were starving, and decided to go ahead and place our entree order, since things were moving at a snail's pace. I ordered the smoked salmon eggs Benedict and my husband ordered the truffle frittata. 30 minutes later the avocado toast came out with our order. Whatever. I literally had to search for the Salmon on my order, and finally found it to be tiny slivers of salmon hiding and blending into the tomatoes. It's $2 extra for the salmon, so you'd think you'd get enough of it to actually taste. My husbands entree had a good flavor, but the mushrooms were just huge chunks and the eggs were dry. Overall a very disappointing meal and experience. The menu seems to lend itself to having a lot of potential, and the atmosphere is nice, but without good service and quality execution, First Watch has no chance at standing up to what is presented. read more

So disappointed. Ordered the pumpkin pancake and it tasted nothing like pumpkin. Had to find the waitress, she brought another which also tasted NOTHING like pumpkin. The soup was cold and our coffee cravat stayed empty until we got up and physically searched for help. My diabetic husband had asked for sugar free syrup and assumed it was what he was given, after a failed two pumpkin pancakes the waitress brought a granola pancake out on the house and in her hand she had sugar free syrup. So I have enjoyed eating here but this morning was a disaster and I have noticed a decline the couple of times I have visited here. I ordered Eggs Benedict and the meal arrived cold, the sauce was broken and inedible, eggs were poached hard and potatoes were, for the most part burnt. A complete failure and I couldn't believe it was served to me. My server was either ignorant or could not have cared less...either way it was not a good experience. I sent it back and ordered their basic breakfast and hoped. I could not believe it...it was barely edible. Cold, potatoes burnt, and I was asked if I wanted toast! Really!...it showed up 5 minutes later...lol. Dirty floors...dirty silverware...apathetic staff..servers huddled by the register...server never checked on us...kitchen staff clowning in the kitchen ...sad really But the best ...when I was paying the check the cashier asked the obligatory question..."How was everything?" I've never been disappointed with their food, my favorite so far is the elevated egg sandwich, but also LOVED the cinnamon waffle appetizer they had as the seasonal menu last year. This was my first visit. Sat morning about 45 min wait. We decided to put our name on the list and they gave us the option of text when table is ready. I chose that option and got a confirmation text. We decided to go to the at home store to waste 40 min. After 30 min we came back and sat in our vehicle. After 53 min I went inside to check on our table and we weren't on the list. He said they probably called our name but we weren't here so they gave our table to someone else. I told him I never got a text. He just shrugged his shoulders and told me we would get the next available table. 5 min later we were seated. Apparently they leave a cup and coffee mug on table after they clean. I asked for a new cup and coffee mug because I think it's weird and the flu is crazy this year. So after all the waiting we got out coffee and ordered. I got the chorizo Chile omelette. It was good. 2 small slices of avocado only which was disappointing. But hey if you like onions there were plenty in the omelette. Too many really. The bread was good and the fruit was good. I was still perturbed by the whole seating mess so it clouds my judgement a bit. As we were walking out I saw a friend and she said the seating thing happened to her too! Why offer text when you really don't text? In any case if you like waiting a long time for food this is the place to go. I will eat here again and hopefully my experience will be 2nd visit. No wait which was good. Ordered the bacado omelette with fruit. They forgot to put the slices of bread on the plate. Didn't remember until I saw the person next to me with their bread... oh well. For me, personally, 30 min is the limit, beyond which I leave. So we decided to wait but they sat us at 1:55, about 40 min later, and were standing all this time. The menu has good options but food arrived another 35 min later, at 2:30 pm (their closing time is posted as 2:30 pm). I had been wanting to try this place for some time. Big mistake! I came in one morning, to a seemingly slow morning to place a to-go order. When I came and expressed that I wanted a to-go order, the hostess told me to move to the side for the other customers coming in. No one was behind me. I told her that it was my first visit and I didn't know what to do. She handed me a menu and said to sit on the bench to the side. After about 15 minutes of seeing employees walk back and forth near the register, I decided to get up and ask about placing my order. Update 07/03/20 Just finished eating here today. Service was very slow. I waited 15 minutes before I was able to order coffee. I just watched a family walk out mad. They sat at the table next to us for 30 minutes without even having their drink orders taken, after making multiple requests for service. When that family left, multiple groups of people waiting left with them. My food was not even close to as good this time. Bacon wasn't crispy, eggs tasted off. I don't know what is going on, but this experience is a complete 180 from my first trip. So disappointed, this experience may have cost them my future business. read more

First time visit. Ordered chorizo chili omelette and pumpkin pancake. The omelette had very little chorizo but other than that it was fine. I was excited to try their pumpkin pancake. For a single pancake it's like $4.49 or something so you would expect pancake worth the money, right? It was awful! I'm sorry.. it had such a weird taste to it. I placed an order using Uber eats on Saturday, the day before Mother's Day. First watch excepted my order, and then Sunday on Mother's Day when I had planned to have brunch served they declined my order. I called and asked why my order that had been accepted the hostess said that they don't do delivery orders on holidays. If that's the case, it needs to be posted on their website or at least on Uber eats webpage. Now my plans have to be drastically changed and it's very unfortunate. read more

Every time I come here I get great service. I have a few dietary restrictions (including having to be gluten free for medical reasons) and they are always able to accommodate. I always ask for Liv to be my server because she is amazing and so tentative, so I highly recommend asking for her. Try the AM superfood bowl and kale tonic (even if you don't like green juice it's delicious). They are usually super busy on the weekends but they have a community table so if it's just you or you and a friend or two definitely sit there, it has either 8 or 10 seats. read more

Went in for a iced coffee to go. Left ~15 minutes later with no iced coffee... Aloof employees and lack of communication can turn a great restaurant into another place to steer clear of. It isn't that hard to pour a pre-made iced coffee from a pitcher into a cup and put a lit on it. Couldn't even pay as "they didn't make a ticket yet." Glad I didn't. Also glad this isn't our local First Watch. My wife and I frequent FW at least every other week and love our local one.
