Went for an early Saturday breakfast with a friend. We both ordered 2 OE/meat/potatoes/ coffee. One of the yolks on my order was broken and cooked to a yellow smudge. His eggs were both cooked over hard. I brought the broken yolk issue up with the server. She just shrugged and said "they must have got your order mixed up with someone else's" and walked away. For $10 I expect both eggs to be edible. The "toast" (sic) is really thick, heavy and just barely toasted. Both meals were lukewarm. Service was slow. Place is over run with kids, many of whom were crying and or screaming. This place has the acoustics of an empty UPS truck. My ears are still ringing. The waitress brought the check and I told her that she should tell the cooks never to serve an order of eggs when one of them has a broken yolk. She reluctantly offered to bring a new one like it was coming out of her check. The funny thing is, she did pay for it. I deducted it from her tip. I laughed. I won't be back here. I-hop and Perkins have this place beat. $26 + tip (maybe) for two of the most basic breakfast offerings known to mankind should get you more than this place delivered. I had a great lunch today. The 1\2 sandwich and salad were just delicious. Our waitress was attentive, especially for an iced tea drinker like I am. They have completely remodeled the inside and it is well done with space between tables to be able to walk through. My only down side was the metal chairs. A tad hard on the tusshy. Will have to ask for a seat at one of the tables against the wall next time as they are padded bench style seats. read more

Nice menu, first place for me with healthy egg white anything that didn't have spinach! Short wait at 11 am Monday. Quick, effective service. Nice having separate caf/decaf carafes at the table. Everyone enjoyed their meal, large, but not guilt inducingly large. Triathlete omelet would be great if cook kept bad parts of onion out of the sauté (tough, bitter). First Watch (in Carrollwood) is my 'go to' for breakfast every time the mood strikes. I do not ask my friends if they want to go to breakfast... I always ask if they want to go to First Watch because there is no other place for me. The food quality is consistent but it is the service that differentiates this location. I am not what could be considered a 'regular' but Summer and Audrey both know when I am there and ensure I have my drink in hand when they come to say hello - yes they know without asking me. They even remember my order. Given my memory fails me when I try to remember what happened yesterday this is very impressive to me. Not only is the team personable they are efficient and focused on ensuring their clients are happy. If you haven't tried First Watch in Carrollwood you should stop by - but be prepared to wait a bit if you come after 9 a.m. on the weekends! Totally worth it though. read more

Don't go there if you have a party larger than 4 people...This location is small and they are in favor of sitting small groups of people rapidly...The person seating peoe in the front told us it would be 1/2 hr wait to sit 8 people....We waited an hour and 10 min and saw another party of 7 sit before us..When we asked why that was the case they responded it was a table for 7 not 8 ...Really? Then instead of trying to accommodate us some way they were arguing why they could not put 1 more chair thier...Been to the first watch in Naples and was a much better experience... read more

This is a great go-to for breakfast, lunch, or brunch. Everything I've had tastes great, and all staff members seem happy and friendly. The food is all clean and healthy, never soggy or overcooked. The servers are attentive, and even when it's busy (to be expected on the weekends), I have never felt rushed to leave to seat others. There is a community table if you do not want to wait 20 minutes for your own table, so long as you don't mind sitting with strangers. In my opinion, it is the best breakfast / brunch spot in Carrollwood. read more

Love this place! We have been first watch customers over the years but dropped off a couple years ago. We decided to give it a retry recently. We have been here a few time in the last couple months. The food and service are both fabulous. I am picky and have a couple special requests with my eggs and they are kind enough to oblige. The new menu and look are great as well. I went grain free almost 3 years ago, but I will eat a piece of their multi grain toast every Sunday with breakfast - irresistible! So, as you all know I am from New York, so I love my diner breakfasts and IHOP...But let me just say First Watch was a great place to get breakfast...My friend and I both ordered their breakfast special; Spinach and Artichoke Dip Omelette, it was 3 eggs, spinach and artichoke dip, artichoke hearts, tomatoes, and parmesan cheese! It was served with these delicious home fries, and an english muffin. The coffee was actually fresh and the staff was extremely friendly and not to pushy. read more

Last time I went, I had a Baja burger - it was the best turkey burger I've ever had, I couldn't even put ketchup on it. Over priced excuse for food that calls itself healthy. Came here with my wife and spent over 20 bucks on tiny breakfast tacos that had no flavor until I drowned them in hot sauce, and my wife's bacon avocado omelette was small, unfulfilling and flavorless as well. Since she does not like hot sauce it was rather painful for her. She had a salad on the side that was essentially served without dressing. Coffee was 2.59, and was pretty much on par with ihop coffee at best and tasted stale. We weren't impressed with their total neutering of their cook, sacrificing all flavor in favor of being organic, there are ways to eat good healthy food, but this isn't it. As a Tampa native, I've been a huge fan of First Watch for years. I've always loved their fresh ingredients, fast service and friendly staff. As imagined, when we needed to move out west, I was SO disappointed to leave my favorite brunch place behind! Luckily, I was able to come back in town for a visit recently and First Watch was on the top of the list of places to hit. My son and I arrived on a busy weekend and were told it would be a 25 minute wait (which only ended up being 10... with free coffee - yay!) We sat down and were soon greeted by our absolute favorite waitress, Summer! She totally remember Timmy's favorite blueberry pancake order (with extra syrup, of course) and I treated myself to a generous amount of coffee and one of the new quinoa power bowls! What a fabulous meal! I must say this place never disappoints. It was quite a treat to come "home" and have such a wonderful experience. I'm only sad we don't have an awesome location near us now. Next time I'm in Tampa, you can bet I'll be back! :) read more

Eaten here several times and the food is just as good as the first time. I had a ham and cheese omelet and hash browns, my wife enjoyed the French toast. Love the extra touches such as flavored creamer for coffee and an array of herbal teas , not just the standard. Service has always been good, will continue to enjoy this breakfast / lunch place. read more

I've been to a few different breakfast/brunch restaurants and First Watch is by far my favorite. I only wish they were open at dinner time.

Our family and extended family have been coming to this First Watch for many years now and normally I would give it 5 stars but I have to take away one. The week after Father's Day we took my wife's parents out due to being out of town the previous week and there was a long wait (over an hour) which is excessive but we always know they're busy and the food is always good. Then we saw the menu had been changed. I have no problems with offering "healthy" items on a menu, but almost everything we liked was now gone or changed. I personally love the Bacado but all the other members in my party found nothing on the new menu that interested them. We cancelled and went across the street to Keke's. This weekend we decided to give it another shot and waited outside for 30 minutes as we were told would be the wait time. When I went back in to check how much longer it would be, I was told that they couldn't find us. They had my name and phone number and we were sitting at the corner table right outside the door. That being said, I'm not going to give the restaurant a bad review because the food (Bacado) was still good (although I want the old salsa back) and the service is still pretty good. Unfortunately, because of the new menu I cannot bring my other family members back. read more

Worst service ever!!!!We were told upon arriving that the wait was around twenty minutes which we quickly responded requesting to sit outside where there was only one other family sitting,the hostess told us it was first come first serve & that he would send someone right out. After sitting there without being helped for fifteen minutes I got up & went inside & asked for menus which the hostess that told us that he was going to be sending someone right out handed right over no questions?!Then I proceeded to tell him how Long we had been sitting there for still had not been helped & he never apologized or said he would get anyone to help us & The manager just stand there and looks at me confused never asked any questions!Then after returning to my table I see that three other tables were set after us!To my shock one by one they got menus & drinks!I then went back inside & asked the hostess for a glass of water a few minutes later he return to the table with one glass of water for only one of us not for my husband?I then asked if he could take my order since I have been sitting there for so long and he said he was not capable of doing that! He then said that he would send someone right out,well needless to say after waiting for another ten minutes with no help we got up & walked out!I have never had worse service in my life!I will be sure to tell anyone & everyone how awful we were treated! read more
