My 2nd trip here. Been to Nola many times with drago's chargrilled oysters, The chargrilled oysters here are right on par with them. The best. Great fish and portions!!! Asparagus was great. The blacked redfish is amazing. Soups. Did I not mention the soups. Wow. The jalapeño soup is amazing. Crab bisque and the rest are awesome as well. The oyster nachos are great!!! Everything we had was amazing. Service is great and the manager is very attentive and there to support. Will be back many more times!!!!! read more

Terrible service, but some of the food was good. Once our server finally came to the table for our drink order, we had some questions about the dishes since we had never been there before and some of the "specials" on the chalkboard were not on the menu (We were sitting outside so we just saw the chalkboard as we walked by.). Our server didn't know the menu at all, except for the two salmon dishes he eats regularly. Every question asked was answered with "Uh, I'm not sure." Umm, ok? Super slow service, even with just the drinks. When our drinks finally came, we ordered and never saw the server again until we finally asked another server to get him, after we finished dinner. Food: Fried green chile app has potential to be great. Most of the chile rings were too thin to actually get a taste of the chile itself. The thicker rings were very good, but there were only a few of those. Quinoa salad with salmon was very wet and very overdressed, but the salmon was delicious. Blackened red snapper was slightly overcooked and had zero flavor. It was "blackened" in the sense of color, but definitely not in flavor. The red potatoes and green beans also had no flavor. I took literally one bite of each veg. The portion size was huge. If it had any flavor, it definitely would have been worth the $25 price. Service: When the server finally came to the table after we requested him from another server, we told him our issues (including a flat bottle of Perrier) and that we would have told him sooner, but he never came to the table. His only response was, "I'll get the manager." We told the manager all the same issues and requested the check, because we had been there so freaking long at this point. She apologized and left the table. We waited and waited and waited... The server finally brings the check and as he handed it to us mumbled "The manager discounted it." I handed him my card and we waited and waited and waited again then he finally brought everything back. Which is when I finally looked at the check. Yes, manager discounted it 25 percent and no, she didn't take off the flat Perrier that sat full on the table. The biggest issue I had was that nobody cared, especially the server. It was really unbelievable. Stuff happens, I get it. No meal is expected to be perfect, no service expected to be perfect. But folks should at minimum care about the service they provide and the food they serve. This will be a hard no for me ever returning here, as repeat customers are clearly not wanted. read more

I really wanted to like this place and was excited to try a new place. Let's start with the fried oysters they were good, but was covered with pico literally couldn't even see the oysters. Asked for fried fish and they ran out (server didn't let us know this) and instead just gave us the cob. I was not happy with this as I would've ordered something else. The cob had no flavor, and they didn't bring me my side. Asked for a cup of gumbo for an appetizer and they brought this out only after I asked what happened to it when they brought the food out. We ordered the Crab Tower appetizer it was not served with anything to eat it with. It needs corn chips or a bed of lettuce to accompany it as well as a garnish of limes to give it a little extra. We also ordered their Watermelon margarita that was advertised on their chalk board and it tasted like watered down tequila and no water melon flavor. The gumbo was delicious very good and hearty. Lastly, the crab cake was dry/bland and came with no sauces. Service was good not bad but overall wasn't too impressed. read more

First sign was elderly couple outside expressing their frustrations with manager outside because they had been waiting for a while to be seated and there were at least four empty tables. The wife and I went inside and decided to sit at bar just to eat oysters. Bart tender was professional and polite but never followed up with us to let us know status of our oysters. After 30 minutes I asked for the check for the only other item ordered besides the oysters which was 1 beer. The bartender provided the check and an apology for the weight because the kitchen was backed up. Ummm, oysters are not cooked, just opened and served. We chose this place because we tried one of their locations in SA and enjoyed the food, service and atmosphere, however the Georgetown location was a Complete disappointment from beginning to end. If you're shopping in the area and looking for a place to dine I suggest stopping in but don't make a special trip. I had a taste for a fish sandwich. This place uses tilapia for the fish sandwich...I passed on it. They serve crawfish weird. You pay by the pound but pay extra for it to be seasoned. I have never ordered unseasoned crawfish and never will. The hush puppies were inconsistently cooked (crunchy and hard and some soft or mushy). The service was good but a little over zealous. They were lurking at the table so much we could barely eat without someone coming to ask if we were okay or grabbing a plate we were not done using. In my opinion it was over priced cheap fish. Nothing to jump up and down about but if your hungry it's edible. read more

I was very disappointed in the lobster roll. It cost $22, but had a heavy layer of lettuce and celery/sauce, and only a few tiny shrimp and a couple of pieces of crab right on top. Wow what a great restaurant! I had the seafood platter and chose the fried option (you could choose from grilled, fried or blackened). The platter had catfish, oysters and shrimp with two sides. I chose the mashed potatoes as a side and let me tell you they were delicious (creamy, buttery)! The fried oysters were incredible so flavorful. My platter had hush puppies too - yummy! My platter came with an incredible tartar sauce and cocktail sauce. My friend got the half size fried catfish plate with fries and coleslaw. The half size is a generous portion and he said it was delicious. He said the fries & coleslaw were also very tasty. We received a welcome plate (as first time guests) which had samples of their soups & delicious oyster nachos. The food was so fresh, delicious and all scratch made! I tried the key lime pie for dessert, it was great. I can't wait to go back. I will definitely order one of the soups next time and the oyster nachos (homemade pico de gallo tops the oyster nachos)! I've been to this restaurant several times, and I do enjoy the food. That said, the last two times that I have been there, have been the two worst service experiences. I went there one evening with two other people. The restaurant was not that busy, and, not only did it take forever to be waited on, but the follow through from the server was non existent. The last time I was there was for lunch, alone. After I was seated, no one waited on me. I had to go to the hostess snd ask her to have someone wait on me. Again, no follow through. The restaurant is a small corner place. It's nice and clean. Simple decor but nicely done. The place was not very full, it's a Saturday at lunch. My wife had the pick 2, grilled shrimp and tilapia with fries and cole slaw. I had a house salad and a shrimp Po'boy with fries. Kid had mac & cheese (shocking, I know). The good: the shrimp and tilapia were very good. Perfectly cooked. The cole slaw is up there with the best I've had. It's not mayo based, it's vinegar based with celery seeds. I prefer mayo based but this was as good as any I've ever had. Fries are yummy. My po'boy was great. (Disclaimer: This is the first po'boy I recall ever having so have no comparison.) It was made with lightly fried shrimp. Very tasty, just needed salt. Almost forgot. The house salad is great! Not plain like most house salads. While everything mentioned was great, the house salad and cole slaw were arguably the best things I had. The bad: The mac and cheese was fine and the kid ate it without complaint. However, it's just the box mac and cheese you'd get from the store. I expected it to be better, more gourmet, more real cheese, given the caliber of everything else we ate. Lastly, we had to ask for a refill on my tea after waiting a little while and going unnoticed. Neither are a big deal. But pulled me away from 5 stars. We will return when in Georgetown again because the food is really good and well priced. read more

I don't know how I've not been to this place in all my 8 years living in the area. Small and quaint place with an outdoor patio dining area. I ordered the fish n chips and it was amazing. I go to the bar and literally show her my phone and explain to her that she forgot about me. It had been 15 minutes! She looked at me like I was crazy and says "I didn't answer any to go calls" (remind you I'm holding the phone and you can hear us on the phone) she then gets extremely frustrated and decides just to be rude to me in front of other patrons and says well I can take your order now (loud and rude like). The only reason I got the soup still was because that's what my wife wanted or else I would've left and never came back. I then tried to talk to her before I leave to understand why she's upset. I just want to talk and try to understand why you're upset because you've denied that you answered the phone the entire time all while you can hear me on your end of the phone and I hear you on my end of the phone and she just loses her cool and screams at me and says do you wanna talk to my manager. I waited a couple minutes to see the manager he never came out so I walked out. Ok ok ok so I've yet to even leave and I have to leave this review. The grilled fish sandwich is good that my boyfriend got and my son liked his fish sticks. All that being said my son ordered rice with his food and even after the waitress that was already slow as a snail when it's not busy asked him twice; they brought him out fries. The crab besque was good until I had a plastic like thing in my food. The chief came out and saw it and explained that it was crab filament. They were very apologetic and asked if I wanted anything else. I opted out of getting anything else. The service was slow and the drinks were good.
