The boiled crawfish were small but had a good flavor... especially the ones that were at the bottom soaking in the seasoning. The crawfish étouffée was also very good. The drinks were just ok... not strong enough in my opinion. read more

First tIme here and brought the family. The staff is awesome and friendly. The manager brought us 3 sample plates for being firsT timers. We sampled all the soups plus the smokin hot shrimp we loved it all. I got the Fos sh tacos high recommend. My hubby got the catfish he said thumbs up. Portions are large come hungry. read more

My 'go to' seafood and drink spot in the area We have patronized this location in Wolf Ranch for several years and I can say that every item on the menu is outstanding! Best crawfish this side of Louisiana. And the margaritas.....to die for! The Oyster Nachos, burgers and fried catfish are amazing The staff and management are always very friendly and outgoing. I went for lunch with a group of ladies. I had the Fried Shrimp Po' Boy Sandwich. It was loaded with shrimp and was delicious! About half way through our meal the music was turned up very loudly. We asked if it could be lowered, and it was. It is a very noisy restaurant anyway, and there is no way we could have conversed otherwise. read more

Absolutely amazing! Worth the wait. Great waitress Jen, very happy and helpful. Watched the kitchen as they worked in harmony, tell they enjoyed job. We had the crab cakes, yummy.. Gumbo perfect roux, nice and dark. Fish and chips was the best I've tasted and i had Turkish Brazilian (sp?) fish with the best mashed potatoes and mixed vegetables...let me just say we left there very satisfied and over stuffed. read more

We have gone to Fish City Grill for dine-in and take you for many years. We have experienced decent food and service - until YESTERDAY, Thursday, Oct. 14, at about 3:15 PM. We were doing a take out order. The female bar attendant greeted me and said she was busy making drinks and the waiter (she pointed to him at the end of the bar) would take my order. He took a long, disagreeable look at me and walked back to the kitchen with dirty plates. A few minutes later, he took another load of dirty plates to the kitchen without acknowledging me. He remained in the kitchen for a long time. Then, he returned to the bar area and talked to the bar attendant without looking at me. I cleared my throat to get his attention. He asked if I needed anything. I said I wanted a take out order. He placed the order. An elderly couple arrived. From behind the bar, the waiter pointed to the booths without asking them anything and without giving them a menu. They sat in the booth the entire time I was there without any wait staff approaching them. There were 3 or 4 male and female wait staff walking around and talking to each other. In the restaurant there was only the senior couple and two gentlemen using their laptops having drinks. There were a few customers outside on the patio. I saw my order piling up under the heat lamps with no one attending to it and sat there for minutes while the wait staff walked around. Finally, the bar attendant came up to me and asked if I could be helped. I said in a loud voice that I was waiting for my order which was ready under the heat lamps. The waiter who took my order said in a loud, rude, condescending voice that "I'm getting it!" We will NEVER go to Fish City Grill again. The staff on duty yesterday afternoon should either be fired or given weeks of customer service training. To top off the experience, the Pecan Trout was NOT cooked properly. read more

Don't order the oyster nachos "to go." Those things are awesome at the restaurant but if you order it to go, you get a project. They give you some chips, a pile of fried oysters, and a pile of pico. You have to put them together yourself. And they didn't include the sauce, so ours were dry as hell. Very disappointed!!!! read more

This review is all about the service. I didn't get to try the food. I walked in with my brother and stood there feeling like a couple of fools. The staff didn't even greet us with a " hi" or " be there in a minute. " We were waiting for a long time while they were wiping tables. The woman working did not say anything but gave us a look with attitude that said "I'll get to you when I feel like it". The center of the dining room was completely empty and there were only three couples in the booths on the edge. It wasn't even like they were busy. I'm easy going and not picky at all but this was ridiculous. Sorry, but not so sorry. There was even a young guy that came in our direction, walked right passed us to talk to a friend. I mean it, NO one acknowledged us at all. Even if it's busy , I'm understanding. I worked at a seafood restaurant before. I have compassion for servers. We will be spending our money at Pacific Star in Round Rock. You should also try the Crawfish Oyster Shack in Cedar Park. The prices at right and the flavors are on point- super fresh too. read more

I never get anything other than the honey Chipotle shrimp tacos because THEY ARE LIFE. For one they arent tiny tacos....they are filled to the tortilla brim w shrimp. We tried this place out after reading the reviews. The char-broiled oysters were absolutely delicious. The crab and was good. I was pleasantly surprised that it was being made in house and not frozen, yay!! We also ordered the Cobb salad, it was delicious. We ordered the crab and shrimp stuffed flounder and it was meh. Something was really mushy, I'm going to guess it was the fish, it just didn't taste right at all. The waiter said it was a popular dish, maybe because it was close to closing, ours wasn't prepared properly. I would definitely eat here again but I would probs my never order the stuffed flounder again. read more

So this review covers the two visits. I meant to write the first one a couple months ago. Had another great experience tonight I need to follow up. First of all I have always enjoyed coming here. I had the good fortune of having Isaiah be our waiter for our last visit and was our bartender for this visit. He is very attentive as soon as our drinks were getting low he was there to check on us. When asking for food recommendations he did not hesitate to explain the best dishes. He has been spot on every time. Having to sit at the bar to eat at watch him work was encouraging. Food has always been good. Had the lobster and shrimp grilled cheese, awesome. The queso was also outstanding. We used to love going out to eat but seems like the restaurant help is nowhere it used to be. Fish City Grill sits head and shoulders above any other restaurants in nearby towns. I know they will be around for a long time to come. I can not say about 80% of the other restaurants nearby. Thank you Isaiah for your professionalism! read more

This rating is really a 3.5, but I gave the benefit of the doubt because the food was good. We arrived around 7 pm so the restaurant was a bit crowded but no wait. We were seated in a booth near the door but it took 10 minutes for us to get water. We actually flagged down a server walking by and asked him to find our server as we were about to leave. Service was slow. We didn't get asked if we wanted more water until we were about to leave although glasses were empty. Our server was not on her game for sure. The food was ok. They cooked my fried oysters perfectly. The gumbo was even ok for a restaurant. We had dined here before in the Dallas area and the food was consistent with what we remembered. I think the highlight on my meal was the house salad. It is worth the extra money to substitute. read more

Great little seafood spot in georgetown! The salads were huge and had tons of toppings. There were so many options and very friendly staff. Since it was our first time they brought us out a sampler of their soups and spicy shrimp which was a sweet gesture. I got the grilled shrimp and they were seasoned perfectly! Fish City Grill is pretty great. I like to eat here with my family because it is relaxed and the food is good. They have decent sized portions of food and lots of options. I got a catfish and shrimp plate with apple coleslaw and French fries. The kids got hamburgers off the kid's meal, and my mom got an herb crusted cod with asparagus with mashed potatoes. I would highly recommend eating here for families that want good food and friendly service. They also have an outdoor patio seating area with live music from time to time. However, the steak was too far gone to help. It was closer to medium and, again, the cut was bad. (Note: I didn't complain! I'm sure that if I would have, they would have done anything to correct it!) The positives? The green beans were AMAZING! Still a bit crispy and tasted great! The mashed potato's were good. I ordered an Old Fashioned. It was wonderful! The service couldn't have been better! I love the bar side of Wildfire! The seating can be private or meant for people watching. It's very comfortable! Awful customer service. Especially when making reservations…read more I go here a lot, because I like dry aged steak, but I can't get over the customer service around reservations. As a combat vet, I feel uncomfortable AF eating in the middle of a tiny and cramped dining room. The dining room is so small and packed here that I'm surprised that the fire marshal even allows that many people to be sat in there. Still, when I ask for a booth and say that I don't want to eat in the middle of that tiny dining room when I make a reservation, I find it odd to be sat in the middle of the dining dining room only to see that there's multiple parties that were just sat in booths and haven't even gotten their drinks yet--like, they were just sat before us (and we were on time for our reservation). I think you could have a little more respect for your customers is all. For that reason alone, you're not worth the price of your half-baked pretense in my opinion. You get a one-star for that reason alone. On the quality front, the ribeyes I get are more and more consistently riddled with connective tissue and are hard to eat, with a lot of waste. Not exactly the quality of meat cut one expects for the price. Sometimes they nail it, but I'd say at least a third of the time my ribeyes are almost half scrap. The quality seems to be diminishing since I first started frequenting this place. So, perhaps your supplier sucks. Idk. Pick your meat better if you want to demand higher prices. I think I'll stop coming back at this point. 2020 Market has good steak, too. Only I haven't dealt with so much connective tissue in my steak there. And also, I haven't had issues with my reservations there. So you lose me to your competition after having gotten so much money out of me. Consistent quality and customer service could maintain such consistent regular customers in your sales. What a weird way to lose customers. Your whole business is customer service and cooking food well. Do better.

If you want great seafood and service, this is the place. I asked for an off menu item and the general manager, Michael Frazier, went into the kitchen and prepared it. That never happens anywhere else. We were overcome with joy, and let me tell you there aren't enough words to describe this coconut shrimp. Superb, comes to mind, because I've ordered it in places all over Texas, New Orleans, and even New York City and those don't even come close to what we had last night. I hope this delicacy becomes a mainstay on the menu. We always ask for Justin Battison to be our server. He's sassy and extremely entertaining, but his service is impeccable. Found this place by accident while looking for a retail store. Was hungry and it looked interesting so decided to stop in for a bite. Expected it to be something like a Long John Silvers, fast food. Wow, did I ever get the shock of my life! Our server, Kitty, was super fun and made our visit enjoyable. Being our first time, they brought us samples of 5 soups and an oyster appetizer. We didn't expect that and were thrilled with the taste. The soups are made by the staff, not out of a can. Really tasty! I ordered the fish and chips....perfect ! You order at the counter, get a number on a stick with the order printout folded onto it, you take it to a table you choose where a server comes and grabs the order printout, then brings your food, then you pay the server at the end. At first I saw more moppers and bussers than I saw servers, but we got helped pretty promptly. The food did not take too long. My companion order a grilled chicken sandwich (not on the menu) and sweet potato waffle fries. I tried a dinner, chicken-fried chicken with slaw and mashed potatoes. The food was good though not amazingly so, though to be fair we didn't try things on the wild side. The mashed potatoes looked a little grey, but that's because the skins are mashed in and they were actually really good. The other highlight was the sweet potato waffle fries, perfect crisp, not overly seasoned. I had a beer instead of the premixed frozen beverages. My chief complaint is the noise amplification from high, hard ceilings and concrete floors and other hard, flat surfaces. The clamor of kids even four tables away made conversation a little tough. Plus, they pipe in music, which frankly they should keep only in the bar area if possible.

Three visits gave us more than enough opportunity to form an opinion. Unfortunately, neither of us was happy with our most recent meal, and when combined with the service issues we've experienced on previous visits, we can't recommend this location. We wanted to like it and gave it multiple chances, but we won't be returning.
