We went for lunch recently and had excellent service. I enjoyed the grilled salmon salad and hubs had the shrimp tacos.

I had been wanting to try this place since it first opened and just got around to it..gladly it did not disappoint. Caught them during happy hour so decided to try out the chargrilled oysters, we played it safe and only ordered two to try. The oysters have potential but were extremely salty so we stuck with just the two of em. But they were not the worst I've encountered. We also had the shrimp and crab queso..which also has potential but was def not amazing..it was more watery than I liked and I didn't exactly get queso from it, in fact I didn't taste any cheese at all..I'm a cheese lover so I live for the "cheese pull" this had none at all. Didn't have high hopes for entrees after the appetizers falling short but decided to stick with it because the server Erica was every bit of amazing so we ordered. There was literally not ever a time my glass was empty for longer than 2-3 mins, didn't have to ask for condiments to be brought, she was super attentive and took initiative which is rare in this age of dining but it was much appreciated and didn't go unnoticed and hopefully this review gets to the right individuals. I had the pick two with shrimp and fish, hush puppies and fries and she had the chicken and andouille red beans & rice and I can honestly say that when I return I'll be ordering the red beans and rice. The chicken was juicy, sausage was cooked perfectly and the red beans and rice were super tasty, both the texture and spice were perfect. My seafood plate was tasty, consisting of blackened catfish (excellent), oysters (good), fries (good) and apple-cider coleslaw (tasty!). Our prickly pear frozen margaritas were perfect: not too sweet, flavorful and decent with the tequila. We sat outside on the patio and felt pretty safe Corona-wise. I think 4/5 is a bit high but for fried seafood this place this was pretty good. I had fish and chips. It was a decent birthday dinner. Good atmosphere. Watched Alabama vs Auburn in the iron bowl in a thrilling overtime win by Alabama (team has grit). Bama should have lost but their heart was why they finished in NCAA standings. We first dined at the Fish City Grill in Rogers, AR and we had issues with the food as well as the service, so I was unsure what to expect from this location. I am happy to say that we had good service and great fish and chips. The fish was perfectly fried on the outside with a flaky inside and it was perfect with the house tartar sauce and malt vinegar. The fries were also good and from the taste of them, they are not cooked in the same oil as the fish, thank goodness. Although I do not live close to Georgetown, I will definitely stop by from time to time when I am in the area. read more

Popped in to try the food here for the first time. The fish tacos are very good, and the portions are large. The 3 taco plate goes for $12.99 with rice. The Crab Bisque and Roasted Jalapeno soups are in my opinion the best of the four, but the Clam Chowder is very good (thick and meaty) and the gumbo has good flavor too. I also tried the smokin' hot shrimp appetizer, and it had good flavor, not spicy at all. Service was great, staff was very attentive, and they seem to have a good following as the place was pretty full at 2pm. My only negative critique would be the corn tortillas (for the tacos) need to be heated/cooked a bit more to toughen them up a bit, or serve them double. Since it was our first time, we received a sample of their 4 soups and shrimp appetizer. I LOVED the lobster soup sample. Deliciously amazing and rich in flavors and lobster. I picked 2 fish dish with oysters and shrimp. Loved their oysters. Shrimps were large and tasty too. Quite a few of them. Came with fresh fries and slaw, all in generous servings. I ordered one of their monthly specials that the waiter said wouldn't be around Nov 1st. It was blackened black drum with blue cheese butter and amazing mashed potatoes and asparagus. Every bite was bursting with flavor! Our kids kept eating my fish (which makes a mama happy!) My husband had a Tito's lemonade (he said it was great, though a bit pricey!) and ordered the crawfish meal (1/2 crawfish etoufee and 1/2 fried). It wasn't bad but it was the only bite, including the kids food, that I didn't want to go back for more of. The etoufee was pale in color (see pic) and didn't have the rich taste you'd expect from an etoufee. I was surprised because everything else was so good. Terrible service, but some of the food was good. Once our server finally came to the table for our drink order, we had some questions about the dishes since we had never been there before and some of the "specials" on the chalkboard were not on the menu (We were sitting outside so we just saw the chalkboard as we walked by.). Our server didn't know the menu at all, except for the two salmon dishes he eats regularly. Every question asked was answered with "Uh, I'm not sure." Umm, ok? Super slow service, even with just the drinks. When our drinks finally came, we ordered and never saw the server again until we finally asked another server to get him, after we finished dinner. Food: Fried green chile app has potential to be great. Most of the chile rings were too thin to actually get a taste of the chile itself. The thicker rings were very good, but there were only a few of those. Quinoa salad with salmon was very wet and very overdressed, but the salmon was delicious. Blackened red snapper was slightly overcooked and had zero flavor. It was "blackened" in the sense of color, but definitely not in flavor. The red potatoes and green beans also had no flavor. I took literally one bite of each veg. The portion size was huge. If it had any flavor, it definitely would have been worth the $25 price. Service: When the server finally came to the table after we requested him from another server, we told him our issues (including a flat bottle of Perrier) and that we would have told him sooner, but he never came to the table. His only response was, "I'll get the manager." We told the manager all the same issues and requested the check, because we had been there so freaking long at this point. She apologized and left the table. We waited and waited and waited... The server finally brings the check and as he handed it to us mumbled "The manager discounted it." I handed him my card and we waited and waited and waited again then he finally brought everything back. Which is when I finally looked at the check. Yes, manager discounted it 25 percent and no, she didn't take off the flat Perrier that sat full on the table. The biggest issue I had was that nobody cared, especially the server. It was really unbelievable. Stuff happens, I get it. No meal is expected to be perfect, no service expected to be perfect. But folks should at minimum care about the service they provide and the food they serve. This will be a hard no for me ever returning here, as repeat customers are clearly not wanted. read more
