I had been wanting to try this place since it first opened and just got around to it..gladly it did not disappoint. Caught them during happy hour so decided to try out the chargrilled oysters, we played it safe and only ordered two to try. The oysters have potential but were extremely salty so we stuck with just the two of em. But they were not the worst I've encountered. We also had the shrimp and crab queso..which also has potential but was def not amazing..it was more watery than I liked and I didn't exactly get queso from it, in fact I didn't taste any cheese at all..I'm a cheese lover so I live for the "cheese pull" this had none at all. Didn't have high hopes for entrees after the appetizers falling short but decided to stick with it because the server Erica was every bit of amazing so we ordered. There was literally not ever a time my glass was empty for longer than 2-3 mins, didn't have to ask for condiments to be brought, she was super attentive and took initiative which is rare in this age of dining but it was much appreciated and didn't go unnoticed and hopefully this review gets to the right individuals. I had the pick two with shrimp and fish, hush puppies and fries and she had the chicken and andouille red beans & rice and I can honestly say that when I return I'll be ordering the red beans and rice. The chicken was juicy, sausage was cooked perfectly and the red beans and rice were super tasty, both the texture and spice were perfect. The fried foods were also good and the remoulade and cocktail sauces were each very tasty. Next time we'll most likely skip the appetizers and dive right into the entrees. read more

I think 4/5 is a bit high but for fried seafood this place this was pretty good. I had fish and chips. It was a decent birthday dinner. Good atmosphere. Watched Alabama vs Auburn in the iron bowl in a thrilling overtime win by Alabama (team has grit). Bama should have lost but their heart was why they finished in NCAA standings. Great tradition but I loved seeing Georgia dominate them in the final. Anyhow back to the restaurant. It is a good place for southern fried fish and seafood. We first dined at the Fish City Grill in Rogers, AR and we had issues with the food as well as the service, so I was unsure what to expect from this location. I am happy to say that we had good service and great fish and chips. The fish was perfectly fried on the outside with a flaky inside and it was perfect with the house tartar sauce and malt vinegar. The fries were also good and from the taste of them, they are not cooked in the same oil as the fish, thank goodness. Although I do not live close to Georgetown, I will definitely stop by from time to time when I am in the area. read more

Popped in to try the food here for the first time. The fish tacos are very good, and the portions are large. The 3 taco plate goes for $12.99 with rice. The Crab Bisque and Roasted Jalapeno soups are in my opinion the best of the four, but the Clam Chowder is very good (thick and meaty) and the gumbo has good flavor too. I also tried the smokin' hot shrimp appetizer, and it had good flavor, not spicy at all. Service was great, staff was very attentive, and they seem to have a good following as the place was pretty full at 2pm. My only negative critique would be the corn tortillas (for the tacos) need to be heated/cooked a bit more to toughen them up a bit, or serve them double. Love this place for a casual dinner on a weeknight. They have a variety of seafoood and non seafood options and the waitstaff is friendly. They also have a good kids meal and fast service. First time visit Fish City and we loved it! We ate outside, they have a nice area in Tha back facing the nature. Since it was our first time, we received a sample of their 4 soups and shrimp appetizer. I LOVED the lobster soup sample. Deliciously amazing and rich in flavors and lobster. I picked 2 fish dish with oysters and shrimp. Loved their oysters. Shrimps were large and tasty too. Quite a few of them. Came with fresh fries and slaw, all in generous servings. The service was great too. And very social distanced, masks required to get to the tables. Glad to have found this gem. read more

Sad that I didn't find this place sooner! Yelp, you didn't steer me wrong! We went for dinner after a Halloween festival in Wolfe Ranch. The food was spectacular. The kids had the fried shrimp kids meals. The shrimp were fresh and tender (definitely not from a bag) and they ate every bit. I ordered one of their monthly specials that the waiter said wouldn't be around Nov 1st. It was blackened black drum with blue cheese butter and amazing mashed potatoes and asparagus. Every bite was bursting with flavor! Our kids kept eating my fish (which makes a mama happy!) My husband had a Tito's lemonade (he said it was great, though a bit pricey!) and ordered the crawfish meal (1/2 crawfish etoufee and 1/2 fried). It wasn't bad but it was the only bite, including the kids food, that I didn't want to go back for more of. The etoufee was pale in color (see pic) and didn't have the rich taste you'd expect from an etoufee. I was surprised because everything else was so good. I just wanted to inform you Fish City Grill is my new, favorite restaurant! I recently visited your location in Georgetown, TX. My family and I were trying to order online, but we were experiencing problems. It was stating the grilled cheese wasn't available. So, my wife changed our order and called it in, instead. Once we arrived, my wife asked me to ask the person at the register, Izaiah, if the grilled cheese was actually available. Turned out there was a mixup in your system, and it actually was available. Izaiah sprung into action! He got with his manager, Monique, to quickly fix the situation. I had to let you know that they gave me the best customer service I've ever had... anywhere! They were so friendly and attentive! We were just passing through Georgetown after attending my son's basketball game in Killeen. I wish I could take your staff at Georgetown back to San Antonio with me, so I could visit them at all 3 of your locations there. They really made my family's experience enjoyable! And, the food...
