The shrimp & grits was full of blackened shrimp in a tasty sauce over creamy grits , salmon & shrimp enchiladas over cilantro rice was flavorful and more than enough for another meal. Waitress very good False menu item for crab & shrimp salad: says LUMP CRAB listed but NOT LUMP for sure. Manager doesn't know the difference between lump and plain small shredded pieces. She said there are different sizes of lump. Shredded is not even close. Then she said the can said LUMP. Then she said it depends on where you live??? Ignorance is excusable. Lying or Stupid is not. Great experience here today. Last time I was here was pre-Yelp days for me. I tried them again after all these years and was impressed! My service from Karla was fantastic! She was attentive and upbeat which made the whole experience great. For my food I got the Boiled Shrimp Appetizer which came with a dozen Shrimp and an ear of Corn and a New Potato. Everything was fresh and delicious. The ambiance here is very open like a big room with a Bar, Tables and Booths. We had a very nice Friday lunch here. I believe they were short staffed as the manager was bussing tables, speeding around doing lots of different jobs. His service was great and after we were seated you would not have known they were short-staffed. All the food came out in great time. Casual to smart-casual kind of place with lots of tables. All sorts of sides and substitutions on the menu. Parking is easy as they have a large lot that flows into the bigger shopping complex. They have weekday lunch specials but we ordered off the regular menu as that appealed to us more. read more

This was my first time eating at Rockfish. A friend invited me here for their seafood boils since they were having a special. The atmosphere gave off chain vibes so I went in with low expectations. Let me tell you, I was so pleasantly surprised! Our server, I believe his name was Charles, was amazing. And the seafood boil was one of the best I've had all year. The crab meat was definitely the sweetest and juiciest I've had all year. I got the all-in Cajun butter with the smokey nitro on the side. It didn't need the seasoning on the side. It was flavored so nicely and the boil perfectly absorbed the flavor through the shell and into the meat. The sausage was actual andouille and the corn was fresh, not the frozen corn most places give you. The best part were the prices. The special made things cheaper, but only by a dollar or two. Allergen practices at this establishment are very poor -- I have a shellfish sensitivity, so I didn't order any shellfish. Imagine my surprise when I was sick as a dog for the 18 hours following my visit. I can only guess that the orzo that accompanied my salmon was cooked in shellfish stock, or that the fries were made in the same fryers as the shrimp. Attended a business seminar which included time for lunch. So I started with fresh, hot coffee to warm up as it was a cold morning. At noon, I ordered a salad with ranch dressing which was nice and crispy. Then I had the salmon tacos, three, which were delicious, and were accompanied by lime rice. We popped in at the suggestion of my youngest daughter who at first was craving this establishments neighbor food but Rockfish caught her attention. I'm very thankful for small interventions as these guys Rocked the Crawfish. They have a great selection of delicious seafood but tonight we tried their Crawfish and Shrimp special. First our waiter Charles was the best he was very friendly and attentive, we had a great experience throughout the dinner and Charles was a great part of it. Crawfish was large and full of meaty and spicy juices it was as if we were in Bayou county. We attempted to have dinner this past Wednesday evening, As we walked in i noticed the hostess had her back to the door looking at her phone. She did realize we had walked in a immediately seated us. We waited for our server and waited and waited. Finally, after about 12 minutes of no acknowledgement of our presents we walked out. We've always enjoyed Rockfish -the food is usually fantastic. Went there a couple of weeks ago and weren't thrilled with the service. There was one person trying to cover most of the tables and we had to ask about 4 times for things we needed. The waitress was very nice and doing her best..thrice done so much better in the past so hopefully it was just an off night. The food was still delicious-the only one I wasn't over the top about was the crawfish- very bland. If they can use more spice while boiling the crawfish I think it would be much better. read more

A common issue as I've read the reviews the chicken Alfredo pasta is runny not thick no flavor just bland. Using old tomatoes and frozen broccoli and frozen chicken breast it has no seasoning whatsoever. I bought fried bread pudding it was fried so well that it was burnt nothing to eat was soft I feel like the cook doesn't care about the way the food is made. Maybe need Chef Gordon Ramsey there to turn it around because the food I received looks nothing like the pics on your website. Upset I couldn't get a refund it went straight to the trash. I like spicy food NOT just hot and he knows how to blend his spices. I tried the brunch chiliquiillas and was so glad I did! My server was so good, she even brought me a taste of the sauce to ensure it would be pleasing to my palette. I came here for the first time on Sunday at around 7pm. I'm new to the area and this was my first time at any Rockfish Seafood Grill. The restaurant wasn't very busy. I sat at the bar and there was only one bartender working. She was very kind, and efficient, all while she was busy taking phone orders over the phone, making drinks for the restaurant, and tending the bar. I ordered the Cajun Pasta. I've had dishes of this variety at many restaurants in the past, and sadly I have to say this was the worst one I've had. The sauce was very runny and not really creamy at all. The shrimp in it was good, but there wasn't enough sausage in it for my liking. The price wasn't bad at $15, but I wouldn't order it again. I watched a group of people wait for a while at the door, even though there were members of the wait staff standing around. No one could find the hostess, so the people just stood there waiting, at a restaurant that wasn't even half full. That was troubling. read more

In late March two of us tried to celebrate my birthday in rockfish on coit. It used to be our favorite for seafood. Food and atmosphere were great. I ordered pecan-crusted salmon and it was delicious. The problem was the service. Facts: I invited friends to dinner. I picked this restaurant. I asked for dinner check. Upon being seated, I made it expressly clear to our server, Charles, that the dinner check needed to come to me. He said, "Yes, ma'am." Then an invited male friend said, "No, the check comes to me." Charles smiled and left the table. At the end of our meal, Charles returned and handed the check directly to the male, instead of to me, then he glanced at me as if to say, "Sorry, he's the man." I was embarrassed and felt humiliated. I am absolutely furious about Charles' poor, unqualified decision, and I will never return. read more

Why've I never returned to Rockfish? Once a stalwart multi-gen family once per week excursion? Well...my mom lived right around the corner. So this was a frequent stop. I took her to lunch at this location. While we waited for a table to open up, I witnessed a server wipe up a spill on the floor, and to my horror, he proceeded to wipe a tabletop with the same filthy rag! Then to my double horror, he set tableware down on the table. Then to my triple horror, the manager sat us at the SAME TABLE. I TOLD THE MANAGER WHAT ID SEEN! The response: "yeah, he's (the server) been really busy." Manager walked away. Need I say I got up, left, never came back. When the food came out, the shrimp appeared to have been frozen but maybe not. Neither the catfish nor the shrimp were very flavorful. Thankfully I only got the lunch portion. Very disappointed. Horrendous!!! I walked in to an almost empty bar. 6:30 on a Saturday. Most of the bar needed a good wipe down. It's a sticky, wet mess. Not even sure how that's possible, but it is. A red flag because if the bar can't be cleaned, then the kitchen must be a mess. The online menu looked good, so I decided to give it a try anyway.The bartender did not acknowledge me when I sat down, but I figured he must be busy. 20 minutes later...I walked out.
