Their prices have gone up over the years, but I'll still go back every now and then to have a fish. I had the trout and it wasn't as good as I remembered. I usually go to the Beverly location so maybe it's whoever is making it. I usually like it extra crispy but it was not extra crispy. I'm going to just say that it was probably an off day. I had the rice pilaf also, and that was kind of dry. I usually get fries, so that was probably a mistake also. The baked potato was fine. We ordered online through the website. There was no drop down for you to pick a time. I ordered food at 11:15 hoping Id be right over. Our appointment ran late. We got there 2 hours later. I asked politely if they could remake it since fish doesn't sit out fresh that long. I was met by the manager who scoffed at me, rolled his eyes and said " that's you problem. We made the fish. I can reheat it if you want" I said reheat fish that's been out for 2 hours? "Yes". I said you're going to make someone sick. He said " the owner wants like that" I said you'd rather a lawsuit for making someone sick than remake fish? He said "yes" some back and forth with the owner took place with the manager and the owner over the phone. The manager said "the owner will make another one but you have to pay again " Then the owner appeared. I explained about the app, the fish and how come we were late. I was met with " it's a loss on our end to remake the fish. You were late didn't let us know." Even if I had called the fish was already made. I had asked for a refund I was refused my offer. The owner said " the best I can offer is a 50% discount" We initially paid $60 for 1 salmon and 1 seabass. According to what was told I'd have to pay double what I paid for or pay $60 on top of the 50% discount! A total of $90! Either I coughed up $120 or $90 for $60 meals I did not get a remake or a refund from this place. Certainly not customer friendly at all. The advantage of the Pico location is it's more modern and comfortable with the seating, and the bathroom is very easily accessible. (Not so at Beverly). The food is comparable, predictably. Lately, maybe it's my imagination, but the portions at Pico sometimes seem BIGGER. Who knows. Bottom line: You can have an excellent, healthy and filling low-key lunch for two, for about $27. I love the WHITEFISH. I love the SEA BASS, when I'm feeling a little spendy. The Fish Tacos are very good. The rice, cole slaw, salad are all wonderful. The FRIES are outstanding. And I love the Kosher Tartar sauce, too. Typically I never like any Tartar Sauce anywhere, anytime. So, swing by for lunch. Maybe an early dinner. It was a beautiful Friday afternoon in Los Angeles and time for lunch! I was with a coworker and found out he's never had Salmon before but he loves fish. I HAD to take'm for some Salmon! This place is FOUL. They charge $25 for a sad greasy little plate and they don't even clean the fish. I tried eating a few bites of my fish and all 3 bites I took were FULL OF TINY BONES. I tried to call back and tell them the fish was inedible and they just kept telling me that's how they serve it. I understand some fish is served with a bone down the middle but this was excessive and I couldn't even get one single bite of meat without crunching on bones. So gross. They also do not care at all. UPDATE: after sitting home over Covid, my nephew came to visit and we pulled all stops to entertain he and his friends for a picnic on the water and so we all looked forward to Yummy Fish Grill Salmon Chowder and grilled tacos. Big mistake, we choked down enough to stem the hunger but it was gross, the tacos were not really edible and the soup-previously my sons absolute favorite was inedible, nearly half a gallon literally down the drain. It was gaggingly over salty, vegetables were not actually cut up ( really huge pieces too big to pick up with a spoon) and more than a little undercooked, there were only strands and pieces of flakes of some kind of white fish there but it definitely wasn't salmon, and whatever fish was there was scant at best. We ordered side salmons that were dry and seemed to be more thin slices from another piece than the filets we used to enjoy. I would have only knocked 2 stars off but when I called the next day to complain the manager was rude and gas-lit me insisting nothing changed when it obviously had, We used to love the place but this was beyond disappointing. Previously/What You Missed: Delicious fish in an attractive casual maritime setting. Service is fast, try the chowder which is truly delicious. Outdoor balcony dining available overseeing the Pico strip. Big plus-it's Kosher. It is a little order-at-the-counter spot specializing in grilled fish that is not too expensive. It is just south of Beverly Hills on a busy street in a retail complex that also houses a Ralphs. For me, the location is one of the reasons it took me so long to try Fish Grill. The very busy street seems to make this not the most ideal location if you need to make a quick stop at a Ralphs or grab some food at a quick service restaurant. I went with the salmon and it was simply grilled. It was fresh enough, moist enough and flavorful enough though I do prefer the fish at California Fish Grill more. The crispy baked potato was fine. Pricing was a little high, but it is seafood so I guess you should expect to pay a little more than fast food. Service was polite and efficient. I did not think the food at Fish Grill was great or super flavorful, but it is probably a decent option for quick, healthy and reasonably tasty food. This retail complex has its own parking structure, but I am not sure if parking is free. Parking is also available on the street. Note: Fish Grill is closed on Saturdays due to the Sabbath. I called around 7pm and was put on hold for a good 5 minutes, ok... the girl who takes my order seems completely unprofessional and keeps saying "I can't hear you". Um, B, maybe you need to clean your ears. I order a Salmon Salad with an extra cup of dressing for myself and my boyfriend ordered the Grilled Red Trout (Cajun Style) with green salad and a small Chowder as a substitute side. We get home and none of our orders are correct. I did not get my extra dressing (their salad is huge, you'll need an extra dressing!) and my boyfriend's order is COMPLETELY messed up. The fish has tons of bones in it, he got no salad and instead a baked potato. Extremely disappointing first experience for my boyfriend especially since I had been talking up. To make this review even better, I called back to address my order and the same girl who took the order picks up and rudely tells me "Miss, its fish, of course there's bones instead." Don't waste your money! We walked in at 11:05, the place was empty. The guy behind the counter didn't even look up. Finally, after a minute of us standing right in front of him he said 'Hi." I ordered a cup of Manhatten Clam Chowder for $6.00. First, when it arrived it was 1/2 of a cup and second there wasn't a clam within miles. Instead it was Manhatten fish Chowder. I also ordered, for $16.00, two fish tacos. Yes the fish was good but the amount of slaw (tasteless) was over whelming. Included in this disastrous Taco was a thimble of sauce. THEY HAVE BETTER TACOS ACROSS THE STREET AT TACO 1986!!!! and it's only $5.00! My wife ordered the fried cod with fries. Yes the potatoes are cut fresh, but the serving was so soggy she couldn't eat them and they ended up in the trash. All this dreck for $38.00!!! read more

Their generous plates come with two sides, some of which are coleslaw, green salad, Rice pilaf, Organic brown rice, Baked potato and fries. There are so many lovely options, sandwiches, wraps, pasta and more! Truly this is one of my favorites restaurants and they have three more lovely locations!
