    1st day dozen

We were in Dallas for 5 days 12/3-12/8 to visit my son and grandson. I discovered the Fish Shack on Yelp while searching for raw Gulf Coast oysters. Living in Reno, we have no access to Gulf Coast oysters. We went in on Wednesday afternoon and were lucky enough to have the owner, Frank, as our server at the bar. He said he has a delivery of fresh oysters every two days. He was delightful to talk to which made this discovery so much better. We had a dozen raw gulf coast oysters with some of the coldest beer I've had in a while. Everything was exactly what this Texas girl likes. Plenty of saltines, oysters, cocktail sauce and horseradish. They were so good that we went back a second time the next day. Then a third time on Friday. We also sampled the hush puppies which were wonderful. The fried shrimp, fried oysters and French fries were also delicious. I think you can see I was totally taken with the Fish Shack and that it will become a must go to every time I come to Dallas. Do yourself a favor, discover the yummy for yourself.

Oh-My-God y'all! This place is the BOMB! Food is awesome, staff is great and the atmosphere is off the freaking chain!!!

This was my first visit to Fish Shack. My husband has eaten there before and suggested that we go. I must say that the fried catfish and shrimp basket was fantastic!! I haven't eaten a great catfish meal since we used to eat at a seafood restaurant in Rowlett/Rockwall area that was located near Lake Ray Hubbard called Cajun Catfish. We ate there quite frequently. Idk what happened but it went out of business. They had the best catfish I've ever tasted!! Well Fish Shack reminded me of Cajun Catfish. The fish and shrimp were fried to perfection! They were not too salty or undercooked. The hush puppies didn't come with the basket so we ordered some separately. They were very tasty as well. The service was good and fast! The ambiance was nice. We got there before the crowd so it was quiet and some of the other patrons were very nice as they stopped by our table to speak and share a laugh. All in all, I give Fish Shack 5 stars for the food, service and ambience!!

This Fish Shack location is also great! I came with my work team for lunch a few days ago and had a fun time. Same excellent food as the Plano location, but there's a lot more space, so the only thing you really have to wait for is getting through the line to order during the lunch rush. The shrimp po boy remains my favorite thing to order here, but the catfish fillets and hush puppies and fries were also delicious. Some other people in our party ordered grilled tilapia and the seafood soup, which both looked delicious and came in hefty portions. Servers were super on top of everything and graciously brought me a couple of extra tartar sauces when I asked after my food was delivered.

Catfish and onion rings are some of the best I've had. Primo. Hush puppies are good. That's all I've eaten there. The beer is cold. A new favorite place.

Craving crab? Look no further than the Fish Shack! This will be added to my must stop spots every time I'm in the Richardson area. Myself and a co-worker got the Dungeness crab legs, oysters and calamari. Everything was amazing and the price wasn't bad either. The calamari was a huge portion, and the oysters and crab tasted very fresh. We also lucked out as we arrived just in time for happy hour! Their margaritas were the perfect thing to hit the spot after a day of traveling.

The food was absolutely delicious and the ambiance was wonderful and perfect for a catch up with my friend: warm, inviting, and perfect service! The burrata salad was outstanding, and the pasta was equally impressive. We also shared the bread pudding for dessert, which was incredible and the perfect ending to the evening. The lobster dishes and wine selection were excellent as well. What really stood out, however, was the exceptional service: attentive, professional, and genuinely welcoming without ever being intrusive. To top it all off, our entire dinner came to under $100, which felt like tremendous value for the quality of the food and experience. I only wish we had a location in Los Angeles. This location felt like I was inside a fancy boat To start - the most unique and delicious chips I've ever had. I'm coming back first and foremost for the chips! Haven't seen chips this full of flavor before The prickly pear refresher was amazing - just mint, lemon, soda and prickly pear puree? This is one I'm going to make at home The same chips are used for the tuna dip but I'd like to note their pickled jalapeno - that was fire. So much flavor here Shrimp salad was great too, I enjoyed how balanced the dish was The baked alaska was a mix of chocolate and strawberry on the inside - everything was done from scratch. One recommendation is to add a layer between the ice cream and marshmallow is possible The black wagyu gold something tomahawk was divine - maybe better than any bbq I've been to. Nothing was spared here I also got the key lime pie, it was more grainy than I expected and the key lime was mostly in the reduction (?) to be poured on Overall, tomahawk, crackers, prickly pear drink (forgot to mention crab cake) were my favorites Staff was friendly too!
