I am a HUGE fan of Manhattan Beach Post so I was really excited to try this place, hearing it was a more seafood-focused menu by the same owner. My husband and I came on a Tuesday night around 7. There were no free tables at the time so the hostess took down my number to text me when one was open. Originally the wait was about 45 min to an hour. We were fine with that because there's so many stores and the beach, so it's not hard to kill time in that area. But after 5 min, we got a text saying they would be able to accommodate us right away! Yay! The hostess was able to move some tables around and seat us! :) I was surprised to see the place is actually fairly small and the tables are very close together. Very casual and lots of cute nautical decor on the walls. My husband and I shared the following: - Pacific Gold Oysters: not a fan of these. I asked our waitress to recommend something not briney and on the sweeter side like kumamotos. These oysters were unfortunately pretty briney. :( - Jumbo Shrimp: plump, fresh, and juicy! This was my husband's fave of the night. - Peruvian Scallops: we only ordered 2 but I definitely could have had more. They were so soft, fresh, and tasty! Possibly the best raw scallops I've ever had. - Atlantic Lobster: pretty much your average standard lobster. I would probably pass on this next time unless I'm really craving lobster. - Maryland Blue Crab Cake: not great but not bad. I wasn't really impressed with this crab cake. - Hamachi: my favorite dish of the night! Soooo good! It had an amazing burst of flavors and textures. Slightly spicy in the most refreshing way and melts in your mouth! Highly recommend this one. - Chef David's Mom's Cape Cod Squash Rolls: I was disappointed by these. They weren't as soft or as yummy as I expected. But I did like the rosemary butter it came with. Overall I had an okay experience. Although a couple dishes stood out, I wouldn't really crave this place. Prices are especially steep. You can find better quality seafood elsewhere. Everything here is super fresh and tastes amazing. Photos are in reverse order of items listed below (due to how yelp uploads pictures): First off, I really enjoyed the raw marinated scallops and raw oysters. The garlic ponzu sauce was amazing. The hamachi was fresh and very tasteful. Could not place all the flavors, but it was an amazing blend that I have never tried before. Next up were the Squash Rolls. They were amazing and had the delicious rosemary dipping that you can get next door. However, I would still think that the MB Post Biscuits are hands down my favorite still. Clam Chowder was good, but there was not a lot of clam. I do like chowder either with a think or liquidy based depending on how well it is prepared. I have had both that were amazing. However, here, the chowder is definitely not something I would get again. Crab cake: Very good. The crab was not salty like I have had elsewhere. It was very well prepared. Lobster pie: all my friends enjoyed this, but I did not see it as spectacular. The sauce was good, but definitely not mind blowing. Fish and Chip: definitely not oily at all, which is definitely a plus. The fish was well battered. However, the highlight were the fries. Well seasoned and couldn't get my hands off of them! Grilled octopus: definitely the best I have had. Not chewy and perfectly grilled. How do they do it? The sauce that came with it was epic as well. New Zealand Tri Snapper: flavor was so epic. The dish was very flavorful and had was totally a thai dish. I love thai food, so this really hit the spot for me. But definitely not worth the hefty price tag. I've never been to MB Post so I can't compare it with FwD, but I really enjoyed the food here. I tried the following: - Kumamato oysters: standard, but on the small side even for kumamotos ponzu sauce went well with it and adorable presentation. - Cape Cod Squash Rolls: They came out nice and fresh and warm, but they harden up pretty quickly once they cool off. I didn't love these as much as I thought I would. - Black Miso Cod: this was decently good, but I've had so many black miso cod dishes at other places that have been much better. the adzuki beans weren't really my thing, but I liked the eggplant and the daikon. - Octopus: delicious. The lemon is tasty. - Hamachi: I think this was my favorite dish. I love hamachi and avocado. - Pretzel and Chocolate Bread Pudding: ok I lied. THIS is my favorite dish. I don't know what to say about it except that you MUST ORDER IT. This is a tapas style restaurant, so everything is meant to be shared family style. I would say that for the size of the dishes, everything is quite pricey. As for kid friendliness, I wouldn't say that this place isn't kid friendly, but the space is pretty small so it isn't the easiest place to take a toddler. From service to quality of food, Fishing With Dynamite nailed every single aspect and provided my friend and I the perfect dining experience. I made reservations for lunch at FWD about a month in advanced through Open Table for a party of two and even a month in advanced my desired time was already taken ... but we were able to find a time close to what we were looking for and were happy to take what we can get since we've been DYING to try this place out. My friend and I came in with a pretty good idea of what we wanted to eat (basically everything off the menu) and with our server Natalie's help, we were able to narrow down our choices and create the perfect lunch menu for two. Between the two of us we had: The SS Minnow ($45) with the addition of 2 Peruvian Scallops ($2.75/each), Squash Rolls ($5), Black Kale ($9), Salmon Toast ($7) and the Pretzel Bread Pudding with Marscapone Ice Cream ($9). The highlights of the meal were: - Peruvian Scallops... MUST ORDER and eat as presented. Super fresh, had a great texture and was perfectly garnished with a grapefruit slice and cilantro - Oysters (from SS Minnow) were expertly shucked and cleaned. ALSO super super fresh and sweet. We ordered: ~ French fries - perfect ~ Queen Mary seafood platter $85 but serves 4 people and it comes with a lot of seafood! Oysters, clams, mussels, giant shrimp, lobster and crab legs with 8 different homemade condiments. Very fresh, not bring and the lobster is pre-cut for you. ~ grilled octopus was cooked perfectly. Not chewy, great flavor. ~ Maryland blue crab cake - good amount of crab and the breading kept to a minimum. Tasty though not my favorite crab cake. Came here for DineLA for the first time and was seated at my reservation for 2pm. My party and I arrived 1.5hrs early but was unable to get seated earlier since everyone showed up for their reservation. Nonetheless, we didn't mind and sat in their waiting area right outside in the sidewalk. The DineLA menu is a great deal overall. My friends and I tried the Hamachi and Raw Bar Platter for appetizers. I highly recommend the Raw Bar Platter! The scallops are really fresh, sweet, and refreshingly good! For the main course, we tried all three of the options offered and each exceeded our expectation! It was the first time I've ever had a fried soft shell crab po'boy and they were nice enough to cut the portion into three without us even asking! Really thoughtful :) the dish wasn't greasy at all and really crunchy--even the bread itself was good and fresh! if I had to choose a favorite between the three dishes I would pick the soft shell crab Po boy. They were less busy back then (of course) but now the place is packed and reservations are recommended! I really enjoyed most of the items on the menu! The seafood is extremely fresh! It feels as if they plucked everything from the ocean! It's like the ocean exploded in your mouth! It's soooo yummy! O Y S T E R S I've gotten the big monster platter for 4, and dozens of oysters from here. I love how they put the sign of where the oysters are from so you don't forget or get lost! They can also recommend types of oysters if you prefer like salty, briny, and sweet! My favorite oysters are sweet and they have really yummy ones! D R I N K S The drinks are good and strong! I was surprised with how strong they were. Had some oysters, and fish and chips and I still had a great buzz going on! It was awesome! I forgot which one I had but it was the orange one. The fish and chips were also so fresh! Lightly battered and crisped to perfection! MMMM. I can't wait to go back! My absolute favorite restaurant in the South Bay! Oysters never have bits of shell, which ruined my expectations/experience for oysters at any other restaurant. Everything on the menu is devine! Ceviche and crab cakes are stellar favorites. And the key lime pie is a definite MUST! They also accommodate drink requests as they can often pull bottles from MB Post, their sister restaurant next door, if they don't have it on the shelf. Staff is superb and always friendly. Came here for a Sunday brunch with friends. Rather small restaurant dominated by station in the middle of the restaurant for preparations of raw seafood orders. A bar takes up a good portion of the south side of the restaurant. Seating, when busy, can be cramped, and this place can get quite loud when it is, making it challenging to have conversations with your dining companions. Service is very good here. Aside from the 4 to 5 dishes listed on the Brunch Menu, one can order off the regular Lunch Menu as well. Most dishes are portioned in the manner of tapas or shareable plates, that seem to be the trend of many of the newer restaurants. However, there are some dishes that are sufficient for one to fill up with, such as the special for the day, the Cold Poached Wild Salmon with Soba Noodles. which I had, along with the sea urchin. The sea urchin is served with the deletable pieces of sea urchin have been removed from the shell and served over ice to allow you to enjoy the creamy goodness of the it. The Wild Salmon I had was delicious as well, served over soba noodles in a cold dashi broth with cherry tomatoes was light and refreshing. My friends seemed to have enjoyed the Chilaquiles, which are spiced with thin slices of raw jalapeno peppers tossed into the mix; as well as the crab cake and New England clam chowder on the Lunch Menu. The crab cakes used for the crab cake benedict were less successful with my friends who ordered it. It had more breading to them than the Lunch Menu's crab cake, and they felt that they were deep fried a minute too much as they came out in a more deeper brown than preferred. Street parking only. Best bet would be to find street parking or parking in one of the public lots. Meters are in effect every day so remember to pay up to 2 hours if you can. Valet parking in front of the restaurant is available at $9, it's valet for everyone, so you can leave your car with them up until 11pm that night. Only problem, it may take a 15 to 20 minute wait for them to retrieve your car. The valet parking company is not affilated with the restaurant. read more

This place is probably cheap compared with all the other places on Manhattan Beach. To me it is overpriced and the taste is not equal to the money paid. People equate price to quality whether it is there or not. I think it is the bragging rights that comes with eating in a place like this and also the seeming ability to appreciate the finer things in life to which I do not have. Almost everyone in our group thought it was really good and good enough to come back but that is not for me. The price is high and the portions are small. I shared a sea urchin with 6 tiny pieces and it came with burnt toast. Doesn't anyone know burnt food is carcinogenic. The uni taste was good but there is no calling for a return trip for me. The black kale was also burnt. The gumbo was ok, but not memorable nor particularly tasty. If you have plenty of time and money to burn by all means give this place a try, otherwise spend your money wisely elsewhere. read more

Fishing With Dynamite is a small restaurant in Manhattan Beach, the seafood outpost next door to MB Post, both owned by renowned chef David LeFevre. Reservations for the 35 seat space are hard to get, so book your seat at least a week in advance, especially if you want to eat during prime dining hours. It's worth the trouble; trust me:) I went twice in two weeks during DineLA week because their $25 lunch menu was too good not to repeat (prices noted below are the regular menu prices). The rockfish and shrimp ceviche, with persimmon, radish, serrano, cilantro, avocado, and lime for $12 was as wonderful to eat as it was to behold. The textures and flavors belied the quality and freshness of the ingredients, and two orders would have made a very nice light meal. Another appetizer was the hamachi, served with ponzu, avocado (hidden underneath the hamachi), radish, serrano and shiso for $18. If you are craving sashimi, this is a dressed up version. When I saw the Shrimp Po Boy for $14 delivered to the table next to me, I had to order it on one of my visits. It comes LOADED with crunchy shrimp, weiser potato chips, and topped with a cajun remoulade on a buttered and toasted brioche bun. There was no way to hold this, even with two hands, until I ate two or three of the shrimp first! My favorite meal was the Ono special during DineLA week; grilled rare, and served with eggplant (underneath the fish), pinenut gremolata, celery, and orange. I don't usually eat desserts after two courses, but I am very glad I got the Key Lime Pie, made with a graham cracker crust and kaffir lime meringue for $8. It was the BEST version of Key Lime Pie I've ever tasted! The fresh meringue and the creamy filling were just slightly sweet and slightly tart over the buttery crust. It was a sprinkling day in LA but the beach still looked pretty (not that we hit up the beach) but just sayin' :) Anyways, just got appetizers which was Grilled Octopus and Crab Cakes. My first visit, my girlfriend and I started with a sampling of oysters: Kushi, Fat Belly, Kumamoto, Watch House, Little Island & Sweet Petite. We tried Peruvian scallops served in its own shell with a chunk of grapefruit, and Santa Barbara sea urchin. The scallops were sweet, and the sea urchin just slide right down to our stomachs. We ordered squash rolls, which were dinner rolls made with a squash-base dough, and served with a whipped rosemary butter. Lastly, we had the octopus, grilled to perfection, in a white bean, date, & tomato ragu, with kalamata olive tapenade & preserved lemons. To wash everything down, we had a couple of cocktails each. Just like his first restaurant, we walked out pleased with full stomachs! Second visit, another friend and I had a few cocktails, then shared a whole lobster, grilled octopus, soft-shell crab po'boy, and grilled asparagus. The Atlantic lobster was poached, then chilled & served on a bed of ice. It was fresh, sweet & succulent. My favourite of the night, the soft-shell crab po'boy, had a combination of textures & flavours. The sweet crab was deep fried to a crisp, served on a toasty French roll, with shredded lettuce, and sriracha aïoli. It was served with a side of thinly sliced potato chips dusted with coarse sea salt. My friend never had soft-shell crab before, and he really loved this dish. The grilled octopus was slightly charred & super tender, served with sautéed white beans, tomatoes, and dried cranberries. This place obviously doesn't need my review for you to know it's amazing but here I am. Even on weekdays they are very busy (for good reason!) They have outdoor seating or takeout available now. We ordered the lowest tier raw plate, two raw scallops a la carte, and a blue crab lobster roll. Everything was divine. Freshest seafood, delicious accompanying sauces, good/COVID attentive service. They served up some of the best seafood since Neptune in Boston. Note, the outdoor seating is not that well-distanced so recommend takeout if you're nervous. Also recommend using open table to make a reservation as they fill up quickly & we had to sit at a sunny table since we were walk-Ins. Don't miss this place! I can't wait to go back. read more

The space is TINY! And popular. Which means it's nearly impossible to walk in and get a table and reservations are hard to come by. Last night, I got lucky! I called to see how long the wait was an Alexis said she would have a table available in 5 minutes. WOO HOO! The fresh seafood options are on point and the oyster sampler is a must! Fresh oysters, a variety of sauces, and a little description of where they all come from, thank you! As oysters aren't very filling, I recommend the Koshihikari rice. Based on the menu I thought it would be similar to a fried rice, it wasn't, it was similar to a risotto with an egg. Mix it up and it's a savory rice porridge that is unsuspectingly flavorful! It was a nice addition to the raw seafood dishes. Our server was helpful and incredibly nice (even when I knocked over my wine glass). As I said, the restaurant is small! First things first, find parking is terrible around FWD. If you have a chance to Uber/Lyft here, I would highly recommend it, otherwise, there's metered street parking, some random garage parking and valet for $8. My friend and I made the mistake of walking in instead of making a reservation, about an hour wait on a Saturday afternoon at 2:30pm. However, we lucked out, as we were walking in, two spots opened up and we were seated immediately. We started off with some of their cocktails, were both refreshing and delicious. Food-wise, we went with the DineLA Lunch Menu for $25/person. Appetizer: Raw Bar Platter - Beautiful presentation, comes with 2 shrimp, 2 oysters and 2 scallops, all very fresh and the sauces complimented nicely. New England Clam Chowder - Not as thick as normal chowder, but they added carrots to give it an extra sweetness to the flavor. Main Course: Maryland Blue Crab Cake - Recommended! You could taste crab in every bite, mustard sauce added a bit of spicyness. Shrimp Po Boy - Comes with a side of chips, the sauce was amazing paired with the shrimp, bread was soft. Dessert: Whoopie Ice Cream Pie - The strawberry ice cream really made this dish. My friend was craving chocolate and strawberries so this was the perfect dessert combination for her. I'm always craving seafood, and when boyfriend is too lazy to argue, we go! PARKING: Street. Lots of residential if you can find it. SERVICE: The hostess up front was incredibly warm and inviting. We showed up without a rez on a Friday at lunch and were immediately seated at a table. That shows a)they know their stuff and b)they care enough to explain it. Side note - I swear one of the servers looks exactly like one of the girls from the Youtube KTown series. FOOD: -1/2 dozen oyster sampler: The menu changes seasonally, but I really enjoyed the Sweet Petite (small, not meaty, extra sweet) and the Fat Bastards (super meaty, huge). Their mignoette sauce is on point, but the pico de gallo is just meh. I honestly was hoping for some tapatio. -Shrimp: I ordered two for myself. They were a good size (about the size of a small pinky), but definitely not "jumbo". I would pass on this next time. -Clam chowder: This bowl came stacked with clams (in shell). It was such a light broth and delicious without the heaviness of a regular chowder. The housemade oyster crackers were crunchy perfection and held up to the broth very well. -Seabass: Boyfriend was boring and ordered the seabass. It was cooked to perfection. and portion size was surprisingly larger than I had expected. Lima beans were a tad sweet for my liking, but the shitake mushrooms were delicious! There was some kind of yuzu cream sauce on the bottom platter that was perfection. Some of the crab legs were quite salty, but that was the only real gripe I had. My boss and I are here for a work trip and decided to treat ourselves. It is LA restaurant week and they had a 4 course menu and my boss decided for us to treat ourselves. So where do I begin? Definitely make a reservation ahead of time. We randomly ran into this place so we didn't know we should have done one but the first hostess was so sweet and put us down for a table. We waited about 40 minutes and gosh was it worth it. Also because we waited so long they took out two oysters for us to eat until we got seated. I unfortunately only took pictures of two of the meals so can't share everything we ate but the food was out of this world. I know this menu will only last until Friday so if you read this soon please make sure you go check this place out asap. Apart from the delicious food the ambient is wonderful. The restaurant is so cozy. The staff is great as well. Carlos Mechell and Taylor made the experience so much better. Carlos is funny and friendly. Loved talking to him. Mechell was our waitress who kept checking up on us, making fun conversation, cleaning up after every course. She went out of her way to make us feel satisfied. And Taylor who was the second hostess we dealt with was so sweet and kind. Very patient with all my request from helping me charge my phone to answering all my questions. You guys are doing an amazing job at this place. Keep it up! We will definitely try to go check out the other restaurants owned by the same chef as Carlos recommended. read more

Yummy experience and wouldn't mind coming again. Very small restaurant (elbow to elbow) but nice with their old rap/hip hop music. Parking anywhere in MB is tough so go around the block or so. The bf and I made a reservation for 7 PM on a Wednesday. We have put off this location for 2 years and finally decided to come. Our minds were not blown but food is quite tasty. Drinks: C We got the Modern Prometheus and a General Mondragon ($12.50 esch). Just wasn't a fan of their drinks basically strong alcohol and other flavors was lacking. Food: A- We ordered the oyster sampler platter ($18.75 half dozen), Maryland Blue Crab Cake ($17), Grilled Brocollini ($9), Grilled Octupus ($22), Hamachi Collar (I dont remember the cost probably $25). Oyster sampler was ok pass. I liked that they had different oyster sauces like ponzu and pico de gallo. Blue crab cake has legit 1 crab cake on top of a mustard sauce, quite tasty. Grilled broccolini was ok even with the grated parmesan it was just ok (I wanted a veggie dish). Grilled Octopus was my second fave. I liked the potato/tomato paste texture. Wish the octopus was charred cause it was just chewy and eh. Hamachi collar was my fave. It had a Vietnamese touch with their pickled daikon/carrots. Also the fish sauce drizzled over the fluffy hamachi was solid. We passed on dessert. Total damage: Idk it was a date lol. But it's a $$$ restaurant so you can do the math. read more

FWD has been on my list for some time now, and I finally got the opportunity to eat here for DineLA. At $49pp, you can get a filling 4 course meal. Almost all of the items on the DineLA menu can be found on their regular menu. Came here with a friend and we decided to share everything, as well as splurge a bit on the raw bar platter! First course: On our raw bar platter, we ordered an extra half a dozen of oysters and 2 more Peruvian scallops to supplement whatever was already on the DineLA menu. All the orders were super fresh and delicious. Loved the different sauces that accompanied the platter, and this is coming from someone who generally just like a little bit of lemon and horseradish with her raw seafood. Our other app was the hamachi. While it was good, it probably was the dish that wowed us the least. Second course: We went for the softshell crab and the peel n' eat shrimp. The crab was big enough to easily split into two to share and had a very interesting Asian-inspired sauce. The shrimps were delicious and definitely not tiny. The Cajun sauce was so delicious...just enough of a kick with a nice butter taste, but not too spicy. Third course: Chose the Koshihikari rice and the Manila clam steamers. The Koshihikari rice was probably our favorite and was a beautiful combination of crab, shrimp, uni, egg, chicken dashi, basil and rice. If I was here by myself and not already getting full from the previous dishes, I would be very content just having a bowl of the Koshihikari rice. Meanwhile, the Manila clams were all cooked perfectly and the white wine broth was good with just enough flavor. I almost wanted to drink it straight. Fourth course: Everyone gets a key lime parfait and I have no complaints about that. This is a classic dessert you can't go wrong with, and I loved that the lime curd was on the tart side. Had a really really good lunch here over Labor Day weekend. We had reservations for 2pm and after spending the most of the morning at the beach my friends & I were starving for some good food & cold drinks. We were not disappointed. My good friend from college & I had eaten at neighboring MB Post a few weeks ago & she actually met Chef David who is part-owner/chef at both establishments from my understanding. She mentioned to him that we liked our dining experience at MB Post a lot and he urged her to try FWD and there we were... 2pm, party of 3. We ordered the half dozen oyster sampler platter ($18.75) and the ones I had were delicious. Specifically the one from Coromandel Bay, New Zealand was creamy & fresh. I added ponzu sauce & some lemon and I was golden. The other oyster I had was from Kusshi, British Columbia up in Canada. It also had good flavor but was on the tiny side. My friend ordered a Peruvian scallop at the suggestion of her boss who tried it in the past and she really liked it also. We shared several plates and were quite happy with all of them. The first one that arrived was the Cape Cod squash rolls (Chef David's mom's recipe). $5. They were 4 delicious, perfectly baked small rolls that with the accompanying rosemary butter really made for an excellent start to the cooked portion of our meal. I highly suggest it. Next up was my selection of the Maryland soft shell blue crab po' boy($14). It was delicious. It was perfection in a sandwich. It was one whole perfectly breaded, seasoned & fried soft shell crab drizzled in a cajun style remoulade with weiser potato chips on the side. Game over. I personally love me some soft shell blue crab and this sammich was excellent. You wont want to share it. Next up for us was the mahi mahi fish tacos ($12). These tacos (2) were served in their own homemade crunchy corn tortillas. They were very good. And you knew it was the real deal once you bit into them. The pieces of battered & fried mahi mahi were excellent. There was guacamole on the bottom of the taco. There was red cabbage, pico de gallo, cilantro & some pieces of chicharrones topping each taco. It was great. The grilled swordfish ($19) with capers, herb dressing, fennel, mint & peaches was very tasty. I liked that as well. The grilled octopus was very good. It wasnt rubbery like I've come to expect any octopus to be. It was served on top of crushed tomatoes, lemon slices, olives & red beans. I liked it but there just was not enough octopus to go around. There were only about 4 tentacles. And for $19, I felt there should have been more. The grilled white corn ($7) was delicious. I tried not to be a caveman and just grab one by hand and eat it off the cob so I sliced the kernels off. A lot of work but it was well worth it. It was drenched in lime, jalapeno butter & other goodness. It was topped with cilantro which I swiftly removed and it was good to go, ready to be devoured. Very tasty. Best corn ever? I liked the vibe of FWD very much. It's small, has a small bar and a few tables but the ambiance & decor was something I was a fan of. Our waiter was super cool. His suggestions were on point. He refilled drinks without us asking. He closed the blinds behind us when we sat down as he noticed the afternoon sun was a bit too bright at our table. That was good. The music selection was also very good. They were playing Lauryn Hill, Madonna, Justin Timberlake... It was a good mix and something I personally pay attention to. Oh and I cant forget the skateboard trucks at the bar that were used as coat hooks and I'm guessing, purse hangers as well. That was a nice touch. Very inventive as I had never seen that before... I hope they were Indys. Ha! Thank you Fishing With Dynamite & Chef David. All 3-day weekend meals should be like that. Satisfying from end to end. Sadly we were too full to have dessert. I guess we'll have to make a return visit sooner than later to remedy that lack of experience. You had me at the name of the restaurant when I first heard it. Clever... Great friendly service, and the seafood is very fresh with on point flavors. Today for brunch 2 of us ordered to split: 1/2lb of crab legs, 1/2lb of shrimp, and a crab cake. The shrimp were fresh, cooked perfectly, and covered in a buttery herbaceous blend. Bursting and juicy as well. The crab legs and claws were cracked and split in half, which made sharing each piece easy and delightful. There was a generous amount of meat in these legs. We asked for drawn butter along with the saffron aoili and yuzu koshu mayo, and the combo of these 3 dips was so good. The crab cake was very good as well. It's small, but fully loaded with crab and toasted perfectly Reasons I didn't give a 5* 1. Table space is tight, the raw seafood platter takes up most of the table. The tables are a bit close to each other, which makes getting in and out of tables challenging and you'll be listening your neighbor's conversation. 2. The beer list could use some love. 3. It's expensive for the portions, the crab cake was small for costing $17. If it's a reasonable margin because of the quality and quantity of the crab, throwing in some fries or a filler with the dish could help expectations. Can you say pretentious!!! Nice neighborhood/area (Manhattan Ave). Decent to mediocre food but very small portions. Terrible seating. Nothing to justify super high prices except pretension. No one in our group (who are used to splurging once in a while for a good meal) was impressed.
