I had a great experience when working with Arren and the FitzHauer team. I engaged FitzHauer construction to get some new Hardie Board installed, repair the termite infected damage wood and paint the entire home. I had two different crews to address the projects. One crew did the siding and the other did the wood repair and paint. BOTH crews were great. They were highly efficiency, courteous and clean. They cleaned up after each day of work, had all the supplies to get the job done efficiently and did a wonderful job. The siding came out looking very professional and it will last for many years. I had a great experience with Fitzhauer Construction. The only issue was a bit of back and forth regarding the scheduling for the estimate. I originally reached out via Yelp and asked to schedule an estimate, and they said someone would call. When no one did, I gave them a call and got a call back right away. Seems like a disconnect between their two teams. Other than that, it was great. The man who came out took the time to explain the process, give some feedback regarding some home repairs we were looking into, and even told me to NOT hire his company to do some work because it really wasn't needed. My roof began leaking during the last rain a couple of weeks ago. I researched several companies and decided on Fitzhauer. I am so happy I did. 5 stars isn't enough for this company. Manny showed up right on time and was beyond professional. I explained my situation to him. My roof is about 30 years old and I know I need to replace it. I am a single mom and right now, I cannot afford a new roof. Manny got on the roof and saw the vents needing patching. Within 15-20 minutes, he patched them up. Not only did he take that weight and stress off of me, but he did it at no cost and said "Thank you for your service." Neil came out to my house today to access a leak near my chimney. He was very personable and professional. He was able to recaulk some spots on the roof and around the chimney to see if it would fix the problem. We will reassess after the next rain. I would recommend Fitzhauer construction from my experience April 22nd updated review- Neil and his crew came out after I found that the leaking on my chimney was worse than I thought. They redid the flashing, put new shingles 5ft around the chimney, and resloped the base of the chimney. I was given a quoted price that I agreed on originally. Neil let me know after the job that he was able to do the work for less from the original quoted price due to his crew finishing the job quick and having some extra supplies. Great company. We are first time homeowners and we knew that there were a few broken concrete tiles on our roof after the inspection had been done. We thought we'd be able to push that down our list of priority items to take care...until the Santa Ana winds came and knocked some of the tiles on the peak of our roof right off! We were just days away from an upcoming rain storm and I was panicking as I didn't want anymore issues to worry about. New to the area, I looked up reputable roofers in our local community FB page and Fitzhauer Construction came highly recommended. I reached out to them that day on Yelp, and Neil was the first one to respond to me by the end of day. We communicated via messages and he had Jay at my place that next morning. Jay is amazing!! After receiving 3 bids for replacing a patio roof, I contacted a FITZHAUER. *UPDATE* Fitzhauer painted the patio as we originally agreed upon and it looks GREAT! I'm glad to report they made it right. My experience w this company is mixed. During the consultation, I pointed out the leaks on the patio and and asked if they could be painted. I was told "normally we just prime but we can paint for you." When the crew arrived I was told "painting is $250." Bait and switch much? There was NO mention of extra cost during the consultation. When the crew arrived I was told "painting is $250." Later I asked again about paint and was told it would be included so I would be "happy." Well I'm Not - see photos of unpainted areas. Later I asked again and was told it would be included. They did clean out the gutter as was agreed upon. I also asked that the patio shingles be matched w the house roof. They were not despite offering matching shingles on hand - I was told they were "wrong." The patio roof itself looks as if it was done properly except for the color match. I was told "oh a little time and the dirt will change the color darker and it will match." I would Not engage their services again. . read more

I had been considering replacing the 20 year old windows in my home for awhile. I was called and made a consulting appointment with Rick. He was very informative and explained the process, financing and discounts clearly. On the day of install about a week ago the crew was punctual and respectful of my property. I almost don't even know where to begin on how high of a rating this company really deserves. I am the person who looks at negative reviews first, to see just how bad a company can be. I did not have an opportunity to vet this company before our project started as my husband found them. We were already in the middle of a never ending kitchen rebuild (different company) but still needed a few new windows and a patio door. Although they walked into an active job site, they took care to cover, protect and clean up everything as if they walked into a fully furnished mansion.
