Little Cheeseburger & Little Cajun Fries
    Alan D.

I have not had five guys in about a year and decided to try them again. I ordered online through my phone, so I was able to pick up my order relatively quick. There is no inside dining at the moment and everyone just stood 6 feet apart from one another. All the staff wore masks and had gloves on. I ordered the Little Cheeseburger and Little Cajun Fries and my order came out to be around $11. It was a bit pricey for me, since I just got the junior version of their burger and an order of small fries. I do like that they have a lot of add ins that are free such as grilled mushrooms and grilled onions. The burger itself was pretty good. My bottom bun was a bit soggy, but I managed with it. The fries were a bit too salty for my taste. Could the the season salt, but I had to drink so much water due to the thirst I had. They do pack a ton of fries for you, even in the small size (as shown in picture). Overall, it's a good burger. A bit on the pricey side for me though, but it is something nice to have maybe once in a while. I'll just be sure to have even more water next time I get those fries again, or maybe just go for regular seasoning.

We were in need of a hearty meal to keep us satiated until we got back to Los Angeles. After stopping by a nearby coffee shop, we spotted this place and decided to stop by. I first had Five Guys burgers back in the east coast last summer, and I had to have it again. I ordered a double hamburger, with a bunch of veggies on top, and with ketchup and mustard. The burger was amazing. It was the same great juicy burger I remember having back in DC. The staff was chill and friendly. The place was clean, and their restrooms were decently kept.

"Fool me once, shame on you; fool me twice, shame on me." This is exactly how I feel about the Five Guys Burgers chain after my dinner at their Alamo location tonight. How this chain received so many accolades is beyond me. I tried Five Guys for the first time a couple months ago and came away unimpressed. I felt their burgers were sloppily assembled and lacked flavor. But since I believe in giving others second chances (in most cases), I was willing to give Five Guys another shot. Boy, I feel like a fool now. Earlier this evening, my brother and I didn't want to watch the TV coverage of the political equivalent of "Dumb & Dumber" so we decided to go run some errands and grab dinner. After we completed what we had to do, we were somehow in Alamo and right in front of Five Guys. Not wanting to waste more time looking for a restaurant, we walked in with some reluctance. It was about 6:30pm and the place was pretty quiet. There were only a few people eating. I noticed the interior was less than clean. There was a wet spot on the floor next to the ketchup station and I almost slipped on it. Decor was identical to other Five Guys locations. My brother and I each got a cheeseburger (with grilled chopped onion, mushroom, lettuce, and tomato added), regular fries, and a regular drink. The total came out to $30.97. After munching on the complementary peanuts for about 10 minutes, our order was ready. I don't know about you, but a great burger to me is well-assembled which allows every ingredient to be tasted in one bite. But as soon as I picked up my burger, it fell apart! The burger bun had so much moisture in it that it stuck to my fingers. The burger patties were quite greasy and lacked flavor. The Tampa Tribune called it "Heaven on a Bun". Are you kidding me? No wonder you don't exist anymore! The fries were the only saving grace. They were hot and fresh. Overpriced and underwhelming food. The third time will not be a charm because there will not be one for me! BONUS MATERIAL: - Large parking lot on site. - Major credit cards accepted.

    Double patty burger with everything

I was with one of my friends and we wanted burgers, we both hadn't gone to five guys before and i have to say it acceded our expectations! The fries were the best fries me and my friend have ever had. The burger was so big and delicious! What could make this place better? Their service was so sweet, the guy helping us was so sweet. Although it was a little over our budget, this place was great and i highly recommend it!

Thank goodness I got here before the lunch rush!

Good burgers and fries. Friendly staff. Fast availability of food. I also like having peanuts to nibble on while I wait.

It's not somewhere you got your way to find, but if you're in Walnut Creek downtown area hanging out or shopping, it's a good option to swing by and eat to relax and/or catch up with friends. Ask for extras of the house ranch. It's great to pair with the burgers. California burger (17.99): only burger I've tried, it's solid but the meat is on the drier side and l expensive for what it is Vietnamese chicken (15.99): most popular salad, pretty good Citrus and avocado chop (15.99): refreshing and all the ingredients work well together. Taste wise I still think the Vietnamese chicken is better though. Garlic fries (4.99): they are good, but a bit greasy. They pair well with the house mustard.

The food was just as good as expected, but the overall experience was disappointing. We waited over 30 minutes for our order, even though it didn't seem especially busy and there didn't appear to be any sense of urgency from the staff. When our food was finally ready, no one brought it out or called it to our table, so it ended up sitting while we waited. On top of that, many of the tables were dirty, making it difficult to find a clean place to sit. The food quality is still great, but the slow service and lack of attention to the dining area made this visit much less enjoyable than the other Gott's locations I've been to.

I am vegetarian and have eaten at many vegetarian restaurants over the years. I would confidently say that Blossom and Root is the best vegetarian restaurant in the Bay Area and it may be my favorite restaurant hands down. Food: Key to a great restaurant is consistency. The food and dishes are consistently great at Blossom and Root over many visits. I have tried the Smash burger, yellow curry, Mediterranean bowl, french toast, pancakes, chilaquiles, breakfast burrito and several other dishes. Yellow curry is my hands down favorite but honestly no dish has ever disappointed. Every dish is always very freshly prepared. You can tell. They have a kids menu as well. Kids will also love the "experience" of the Butterfly bubbles drink! Just try it! Ambiance: Cute restaurant with a modern craftsmen kitchen feel. It feels like you are eating at the home of a friend with a nice house. Casual vibe that is kid friendly. Service: Servers and staff are always very friendly and helpful. Sometimes it can get slow for attention when they get busy.

It was about 1/4 cup quinoa and millet and more tangerine oranges than grains. Look at the difference of portion sizes from our experience vs Yelp photos. I felt this was inadequate and asked for more grains. I got a 1/2 cup of extra quinoa (only). Tofu scramble and pancakes (adult and kid versions) were good. The server tried to insinuate that the adult pancakes weren't enough, but they were more than enough. We also ordered one orange juice for a child (paper cup with a copper straw jammed through the opening) and hot tea. Honest review, it was overpriced and moderately good. I would not return; quality and value for 3 adults and 1 child was not worth $100+ including tip. Hope they consider my feedback to improve; this place has great potential.
