I was in when you opened and I loved it. Then I went a few month later still loved it. I still love the food BUT NOW YOUR SERVICE SUCKS and some little dissapointments . And I mean it really sucks ... we ordered 3 ppl on 2 ordering numbers ... the earlier one were not even called when we finished the half of our order. The I went up to ask for the forgotten one and was told it was delayed because of priorities ... REALLY?!? After another 5min we went back again to ask for this MYSTERY VEGGIE BURGER WITH FRIES and had to wait 3 more minutes ... meanwhile they did multiple other orders called and finally after 32min from ordering to pick up we were done. It would now end but the veggie burger was chopped up onions , few chopped up mushrooms and a strip of bell pepper in a burger bun .... SAD. read more

Man this place is such a waste of space. I'm not one to leave a bad review but $13 for a combo is just confusing to me. I thought the cashier was charging me for a sack of peanuts that was near the entrance. Shit. I'm the dude that buys an extra seat at arc light so no one sits next to me but forget this overpriced burger. The food is mediocre at best and the staff is nice. This is only my second visit to a Five Guys but this is enough to come to some conclusions about this East Coast chain. Any burger that has arrived on this coast has to be compared with the ultimate standard, LA's favorite burger, In-n-Out's. Consumer Reports even taste-tested and placed In-n-Out at the top of the country so how does Five Guys rate? Well, as Five Guys has an incredible choice of toppings, the only way to make a fair comparison was to order a burger as close to a double-double as possible. I ordered my double burger with cheese, tomato, lettuce, fresh onions, and ketchup/mayo/relish (to get an approximate secret sauce). The first thing I noticed was the size of the patties. Yes, they are certainly larger than In-n-Out's. But right on the first bite, I noticed that the taste of the meat was quite bland. I also noticed that the lettuce and tomato did not taste as fresh and the taste of the onion was not quite as strong (in my opinion good onions are an important part of a traditional burger). The bread was not toasted enough to give the crisp texture to add to the burger-eating experience. Finally they were a bit thrifty on the cheese, another important element for texture and taste. So the pluses of Five Guys are the size of the beef patties, the free peanuts, the fries, the choice of toppings, the choice of drinks, the smaller lines. The minuses are the price ($8 which is more than the price of TWO double-doubles!) and the taste of the burger. And since a burger place should mainly compare the burgers, I give Five Guys only three stars for the pluses. Improve the burger and lower the price and I would give them five stars. read more

I don't know how I haven't been to any 5 guys location yet. Their burgers are awesome. And peanuts. And even water.

If what you're looking for are fries...then these are pretty good. Salty and crispy with the skins on and the order is quite big. But, if you're going for the burgers or the dogs, then go somewhere else. They might be starting with good ingredients, but the problem is that there's no such thing as an "eat in" order because everything gets foil wrapped and dumped into a bag. The first problem was the type of bun they use can't stand up to the treatment they give it. I got a hot dog and I knew I was in trouble when I pulled out the wrapped dog and could tell that it was squished (soggy and broken too). The burgers have the same problems - and you can see the squashed and semi soggy buns on most of the photos people have uploaded. You can almost see the indents of their fingers on the buns from heavy handling. Then, at least for us, the heavy cup of fries goes on top and that crushes the buns even more. Ours were both luke warm, I think they don't time the meat to sync with the fries, because the fries were piping hot and stayed that way, while the burger and dog quickly became cold and inedible. People seem nice, lots of items you can add to the burgers, bit pricy. read more

I was really stoked when I saw there was a Five Guys opening up in Burbank. The place itself was fairly clean, and the staff was friendly. One of the workers actually went out of his way to come up to us and ask how everything was and when our number was called, he went and brought it to us! From what I've eaten in the past, their burgers are delicious. I got the veggie sandwich with cheese and it was delicious! The bottom bun was a bit soggy though. I'd been hearing for a long time about the awesome Five Guys burgers, so when they opened a Burbank location, we were quick to give them a shot. Ordered online to go pick up, which was super easy and convenient. Burgers and fries were ready when promised and still hot when we got them home. As for the food quality, the burgers are excellent - not quite as good as The Counter, although the pricing is comparable. Fries are also pretty tasty, though we got two orders of regular fries instead of one Cajun fries as requested. Overall, very solid, and I expect we'll be back soon. read more

I've been coming here consistently for a couple months now. Before I came, I called and asked if they did lettuce wrapped burgers. The guy who answered the phone was so genuinely happy to ask me in to try their lettuce wrap. So before I even went, I was happy with the genuine concern for their customers. Every time I go in, they are eager to take your order, they are working hard, smiling, and it's always a pleasant experience to go in there. Not to mention, the burgers are very good. First mistake was ordering the burgers through Postmates. Waaay overpriced for what you get. With tip paid $38 for two small single patty cheeseburgers (one with bacon) and an order of very soggy and sad Cajun fries. Decided on getting a burger bowl for lunch here and was a bit disappointed. I was pretty excited after seeing pics posted on Instagram of the burger bowl. The burger patty didn't have much flavor and all off the toppings that I order seemed to be pre cooked and not very hot. My bacon seemed like it came out of a box with little or no re-heating. So disappointing. I am watching what I eat so I didn't have french fries which is usually what I order with a burger on a bun. For a good fresh burger,fresh toppings your way and in a hurry this is a great place to go in a good location. Got a double bacon cheese burger my way with a1 and a shake. The burger was great but the shake was fantastic recommend oreo creme with cherrys. Mix ins on the shakes are your way as well. Don't get me wrong.....just like everyone says.....their fries are the bomb-diggity but I was totally disappointed with the burger. :( I got my burger "in a bowl" which is actually an aluminum loaf pan. The cook put the lettuce at the bottom so it was beyond soggy from the hot meat on top. The pickles aren't even as good as something out of a jar, the 'grilled onions' are just diced onions run over the heat and the patties have zero seasoning on them....I mean none....like bland as all get out. The staff was incredibly friendly, upbeat and accomodating, ordering online was a breeze, and they have that super cool soda machine with the touch screen so that you can customize your beverage hundreds of different ways. The first time I have been to Five Guys was not the one in Burbank but I had an unpleasant experience of finding hair in my food. I told myself that I wouldn't go here again but I gave it another chance and as happy as I was enjoying my burger, I took a bite and there it was ANOTHER STRAND OF HAIR (this time actually pulling it out of my mouth). Considering that their burgers are not as tasteful as in-n-out, it is a shame that they can't even protect their food from the simplicities of a fallen hair. I really couldn't believe it happened a second time (it shouldn't even have happened the first time). I got a full meal for around $10 and I sat down to eat. The food was great! I got a little hamburger with a few things in there. The food is only one part of the experience though. The employees there at the time were awesome and funny. The guy who took my order looked like a chubby Donald Glover and he was great. This is a rating for the hardworking Guys and Gals that worked the closing shift on January 13, 2017. We work the night shift at a nearby studio and when our original restaurant pick called us to say that they couldn't take our order because they were slammed, we hit up 5 Guys. They were courteous to call us to say they were closing in ten minutes and can't start the fries until we come to pick up, so we sent our runner to be there. They all stayed 40 minutes late as they went through our (large) order, and labelled each bag and double checked our list. Five guys started as a pretty top notch chain, getting amazing hit reviews left and right, now that they are a larger chain it seems like they just do the things that they know will keep everyone happy without keeping the quality as good as it once was. I love how they give the free peanuts while you wait as a little appetizer,and the soda machines that let you pick so many flavors, and also how when you order fries how much they really load on tons and tons of fries for you. Also the vibe still seems very the same with the same color scheme and outfits and the cool little coloring flashcard board making the restaurant have a family friendly feeling to it. On the other hand the burgers I have order recently are always wrapped in the foil with so many toppings mushed all together that when I go to unwrap it and eat it the bun is already crushed an soaked with oil and dressing or toppings an then I go to eat my fries and its nearly the same issue, sopping with loads of oil and not crispy but brown and limp. Nonetheless its hard to get a burger wrong so I still enjoy the flavor of my ball of cheesy meat. read more

Pretty nasty! I got the veggie sandwich and cajun fries. The mushrooms weren't fresh, they were from a can. Also it's not a patty, which is fine, but the excess of onions made it tasteless, or to be exact, it tasted exactly like onions! The fries were ok. It's hard to believe Five Guys can get away with charging $7.99 for a 'back to basics' burger when so many other burger joints have raised the bar on what a basic burger can be. I agree with many of the Yelpers here - your money is better spent at In-N-Out and so many other mom-n-pop burger joints in Burbank and Glendale. There's nothing wrong with the Five Guys burger, it's just boring. The beef patty is well cooked and tastes exactly like what it probably is - fresh ground beef. The bun is mush; the toppings fresh, yet flavorless. Great tasting, fresh Idaho potatoes are wasted in lackadaisical preparation. Can't speak to the shakes, but I did see employees top off a drink with a Redi-Whip can. It's a clean, cheerful establishment, but the food is an overpriced bore. read more
