OK so this is getting a little annoying-typically when I order a small fry I get medium amount of fries. however lately, when I order a medium size I get a medium size fry. Since this has happened at three different locations over the last month I would assume that there's been a policy change where the amount of fries that you order is actually the amount of fries that you get... not the previous - where the amount of fries that you get is usually double the amount that you actually order. For someone who loves fries it's a big deal. The fries are still delicious covered and delicious salt and fried in delicious oil. the burgers are good too. The place was not busy so I am not sure why we were served under cooked fries. The "manager" was preparing food without a net over his beard and the music was so loud that I asked him which employee was hearing impaired because we had to watch outside to save our hearing. Five Guys is never *bad*, but whenever I stop by this location I feel a little disappointed. The staff are exceptionally friendly and I appreciate that. The fries are always soggy though. Like, all of them. The burgers tend to be dry or over cooked. I've ordered online for pickup a few times and the food always takes longer than the estimate. I don't get what all the hype is about? The burgers are made fresh to order, but they are at Red Robin and other establishments where you spend $10 per burger. Here's what you get for $10 at 5 Guys: a cold, cafeteria style establishment with hard chairs and peanut shells on the floor. Fries cost extra and aren't worth ordering anyway, they're unseasoned and greasy. For $10 at Red Robin or similar establishment you get a warmer and more comfortable atmosphere, a comfy booth, and bottomless fries. After being told (several times) "You gotta try Five Guys!" I honestly cannot figure out what the big deal is. After forgetting to put bacon on our bacon cheeseburger, we were given some in foil. Never mind about that bacon because it is wafer thin and flavorless. :-( The "Grilled" mushrooms are from a can.......YUCK! Fries are greasy, overcooked, and unseasoned. Seriously not good. My boyfriend and I stopped at Five Guys on our way back from the San Juans. We were famished by the time we pulled over and walked into this place, so thankfully there wasn't even a line! My last visit to a Five Guys was my first one ever, and my previous gripe had been that there weren't enough toppings on the burger. This time around, I ordered my four toppings and asked the girl at the counter if she could double ALL of them. She happily replied that she could do that, and marked each topping with an "Ex" extra marking. Sweet! When my burger came it was overflowing with toppings - exactly how it should have been the first time I ordered a burger here. I was more than pleased. It was a huge mess to eat, but it was a big improvement from my last burger. Overall, I still don't find it a phenomenal burger, but it definitely hit the spot after a long ferry ride and drive. Burgermaster (particularly the Bellevue location (skip the U Village and Aurora locations)) or even Dick's (though they've gone a bit downhill of late) is better. I thought today I'd try Five Guys again. I had only had it once and had a bad experience. The burger I had prior was swimming in mustard. So I wrote off the place. Today I was at an appointment that was next to the Five Guys in Smokey Point, so I thought I'd give it a try. The first think I noticed was the incredible high prices for fast food. Then I noticed multiple signs in the restaurant promoting low prices with great quality. I'm guessing they are trying to use reverse psychology for the overpriced meal. I purchased a little cheeseburger, little fry and regular drink and it was over$13.00. I could have gone to Red Robin and gotten better food for the money. The fries were over cooked. Yum, yum, yum! Hot & fresh burgers and fries, lots of toppings, free peanuts... Most of the menu is in the name: Burgers & Fries. They also serve fountain drinks and hot dogs, but that's about it-- no onion rings, chicken nuggets, milkshakes, etc... but damn, they do the burgers & fries right! A 'regular' burger is a double; the 'little' burger has a single patty. There is a long list of toppings to choose from, bacon and cheese are the only ones that cost extra. It takes a while for the food to be prepared since every burger is made to order and so far every time I've been to a Five Guys it's been really busy (the free peanuts in the dining room make a nice appetizer, though). The fries are so fresh that they were whole potatoes just minutes before coming to your table in a greasy paper bag, and they taste like it! I have eaten here 4 times with very inconsistent experiences. The first time it was wonderful. My family and I went and we ate outside and it was just great. Food was delicious, service was fine. I came again with my boyfriend, who had never eaten before, and it was good then, too. We ate outside again and the food was really good. The next couple times we came it was too cold to sit outside, so we had to sit inside. The place is LOUD. It seems like everyone is talking at their highest volume at the same time, and the music is really loud, so that got obnoxious fast. Also, the food wasn't as great the next two times. Lots of delicious fries as usual, but when I say I want ketchup on my burger, that doesn't mean I want it soaked in ketchup to the point where it's dripping off the burger. Also, the last time we went there must have been something up because after my boyfriend left and came home, we both felt really sick. Mike, the fellow who greeted us was such a spirited person, full of info abouit what was available (250,000 different combinations, we stoppen him at 12). The Burgers were fteshly made, a reg. burger comes with 2 patties. When they say what would you like on your Burger it is a serious question with so many choices. And FREE Peanuts to pop while you decide or wait for your order. The Buns were fresh baked. The Fries came from Bagged Whole Potatoes not the frozen or powdered kind. The Pop dispenser of the Future is a wonderful surprise for us Diabetics ,as well as everyone else. Who Knew, Diet Raspberry Fanta just to name one of the many selections. If your not inclined to eat Carbs, Order it Protien Style(see photo) . No Secret Online Menu like that place in Calif. (I like them too!) Its all up front. we stopped into this five guys on a saturday afternoon after we took our two year old on a hike. the staff was patient with us as we were chaotic at the counter placing our order, the food came our timely and exactly as ordered - so many fries!! - and possibly my favorite part of the experience was the music playing. the playlist / station / whatever it was they were playing was a mix of 70-90's music and all upbeat but it was so nice to walk in somewhere and not just hear the same stuff that's already everywhere. we had a really good experience dining in and would definitely come back. I've had five guys quite a bit in the past and the food doesn't disappoint. This is my first time visiting this particular location and my experience was terrible. I don't write reviews often. I called them and placed an order, I the drove 15 min to the location, went in and paid, they said it wasn't quite ready so I went curbside to wait. I waited 40 min in my car. I called them twice to check how long it was going to be and both times they said "it's all done and we're just waiting on the fries, it'll be 2-3 more min." I watched 15-18 other patrons either come and pick their order up or go in and make an order and they all got their food before I did. Apparently they had some kind of mix up. Sure seems like it was a colossal mix up.it doesn't take a total of 55 min to make 3 patties into 2 burgers with 2 orders of fries. I doubt I'll ever visit this location again. read more

The minute I walked into 5 Guys - Marysville, one cannot help but notice how loud the place is. For a split second, I thought I was walking into a night club. After walking through the doorway, the eating area is just cluttered. It has potato bags, peanut oil, etc. I understand that they have these extra product out as part of the staged scenery, but this location slightly overdid it. It was difficult to see where the line was forming, but managed to see some dinky little sign saying 'Line Forms Here'. Food was fine, it tasted the same as any other 5 Guys. The biggest downer of all was the bathroom. I nearly did the splits trying to pee at the urinal. Can someone say 'mop'? Ohh...and if you're a fan of their tea, this location only has 3 flavors to select from. I will not go back to this 5 Guys location unless it's the last one in Washington. read more

I liked the burger and the fries. I think they could use a little work on some of the ingredients. The basics were all good but the grilled onions could be of the hot off the grill variety, even if they were just reheating them. Same goes for the mushrooms. I would like different bread options. If you get an everything burger, the bun will not hold up to the wet ingredients. The bun will disintegrate and make it difficult to eat the burger. A ciabatta bun of some sort would have been a good option. I'd even pay extra for this. Service was fast and friendly. The drink fountain is great too. read more

Staff is polite. I walked in and they were busy, 5 orders ahead of me, I waited only ten minutes. Burger was tasty. But a couple problems... the burger bun was completely soggy, straight mush. Extremely disappointed in the managerial service at this location. Had a fraudulent transaction on my debit card, I contacted Josh the manager to find out how to get it taken care of. He told somebody would look into it and get back to me. Nobody got back to me, I checked in with them again about a week and a half later, and nothing had been done. Asked for the card information, card had been turned off and destroyed due to fraud activity. Had me jump through more hoops to get a refund and still haven't received it. When I first called he told me the amount of the activity wasn't worth losing a customer over and yet here we are...nearly two months later now and still hasn't been resolved. Down in San Diego where I first had five guys, they were a serious competitor with In-N-Out for the best burger around. Up here in Washington, there's no question. Five guys doesn't have much on the menu besides burgers and fries, but that's because they're too busy being awesome at burgers and fries to spend time on anything else. This restaurant had free roasted peanuts in the shell that you could snack on while they made your burger, which was something I hadn't seen before and was a welcome addition. The best burgers in town, bar none. There's a reason Five Guys is so popular - their burgers are delicious. Their fries are delicious. Everything is delicious. It's oh-so-fattening but oh-so-good. The fries are fresh each day and cooked in peanut oil, and you get a LOT of them. A usual fry order will see them take your container, fill it with fries, and dump them in your bag twice over before giving you your "container" also full of fries. The burgers are HUGE. Even their "little" burgers would be considered double or triple burgers at other burger joints. Their cheese is divine and melts in a fantastic way. You can get as much or as little toppings as you want. The only downsides: * If you're allergic to peanuts, be careful - there's peanuts ALL OVER the place. There's free peanuts available, the fries are done in peanut oil, etc. * Due to how good they are, the place is EXTREMELY busy. Forget finding a place to sit - sometimes you can't even find a place to stand. As a result, sometimes it takes a bit to get your food - but trust me, it's worth it! I have not been to a Five Guys in maybe a year, but I don't remember it being outrageously expensive. This time I got a burger and a small fries and spent $11.19. No drink or extras. It's a pretty good burger (worth maybe $7 for both burger and fries), but I could have gone to Chili's or Red Robin for the same price and gotten full service and more menu options. I was surprised and disappointed. The reasonable prices and pretty good quality made it a good option, but with very high prices, I'll be going elsewhere now. The service and quality were good. Dealt with it, got home, realized my husband's order was wrong, got BBQ sauce instead of ketchup and was undercooked.
