You can stand there for 4 to 5 minutes with noone in front if you and YOU have to be the one to greet them. Also, NEVER BEEN ON TIME ONCE with a pre-ordered pick up. How can you not love 5 guys! I was so excited to find one so close to me!!! Great amount of parking, easy to find a huge clean dinning area. Just like all the other 5 guys this one is the exactly the same. Complementary peanuts, the walls covered with articles about how great they are. Love the sign telling you where the potatoes for their fries come from! Supporting local farms! As for the burgers I love that it's fast food you can customize at no extra charge! Great price for what you get. The burgers are by no means a fancy gourmet burger but still amazing! So many good options for toppings. Their fries are amazing! And they don't skimp on the portions!! I am very familiar with 5 Guys and have eaten at a variety of locations around the Seattle area and would give them a 4-5 star, best burgers around. It is this location that is getting 1 star. Last night my daughter had a late craving so we pop down to the Tukwila 5 Guys about an hour before closing. I am going to assume they had someone new or inexperienced on the grill because we got the worst hamburgers we ever had from a 5 Guys. The meat was like that of McDonald's, an overcooked thin little patty. It wasn't even hot enough to melt the cheese or mayo, mustard, ketchup condiments. We both ate 3-4 bites and threw it out. I randomly found it one night doing a Yelp search to see what was nearby. It's located kind of in a hidden spot (in the same parking lot as Nordstrom Rack/Kohls) off Southcenter Blvd. The location is about the same as any other Five Guys I've been to and it was pretty dead when we arrived. Five Guys has always been a personal favorite, staff is always super friendly, my food always comes correct and fresh! The burgers are big and sloppy, and some might complain about the appearance of the burgers but I feel it adds to the charm of the place. My absolute favorite is when they fill the cup with fries, and then they put 2 or 3 more scoops in the bag, and I used to think this was accidental and the cup would just spill, but I've seen them literally scoop more fries into the bag than the actual small cup itself! They really don't skimp out on portions, and it's good considering the price is a little higher than most other burger places. So far I've only tried the burgers so I guess you can't really call me the most hardcore Five Guys fan, but I'll definitely try the rest of the menu out someday. It's totally worth it every time I come here, I love snacking on the peanuts while I wait for my food, since wait times will be longer than most other fast food places because everything here is fresh and cooked to order! We went for lunch today and the girl working at the front counter was so kind and helpful. She greeted us with a warm welcome and seemed genuinely interested in how we were doing. We ordered burgers and Cajun fries, and she even came over after we got our food to make sure everything came out ok. Coming here gave me a little more perspective on this new "Burger the way you want" it phenomenon sweeping the nation. I have been to Stacks in Federal Way and Fatburger and of the 3 this place is probably my least favorite. All 3 our known for their build your own burger approach that is why I'm comparing them in the first place. On of the pluses this place has going for it is the staff. They were very pleasant and the orders came fast enough. People were working the grill, counter and floor keeping the place clean so you can't complain about the staff at all. The burger itself just wasn't as amazing as the 5 star reviews lead me to believe. The cheese wasn't melted and it was a sloppy mess. I only asked for 4 things on the burger and they were thrown on like an afterthought. I honestly don't understand the rave reviews about the burgers. They are your average everyday burger. Nothing special. Nothing horrible. Just a solid 3 star burger. Better than fast food but not as good as a sit down establishment. The fries were good and you get plenty with a $5 large order. I thought the price was high for fries but you get a quality amount for the money. I couldn't eat half of them. So go in knowing that their smallest size is more than enough for a single person. 3 people could share a large. For the Southcenter area there aren't many good burger places so this establishment is a welcome addition. However its not worth a special trip. Solid 3 stars. read more

The kids had little hamburgers which they loved and split some fries which they enjoyed. I must admit I had a few and they were good. Easily the best burger-eating experience I've ever had. I was headed to Panda Express to pick something up for dinner, saw this place and decided to give it a try. My first impressions were great, it's a new, clean establishment that just gives off a good vibe. Plenty of space to sit, and the kitchen where they prepare food is easy to see from any angle. My husand and I were greeted right away by a friendly, genuine employe who was more than happy to explain the menu to a couple of newbies. The "regular" burgers come with two 1/3 lb (my approximation) patties, and the little with one. Meat lovers will want the regular, but the littles have more than enough to fill you up. There's regular, cheese, and bacon & cheese burgers, all with unlimited toppings for FREE. Fries and drinks are seperate, but reasonably priced considering drinks are free refills and the little fries are easily enough to feed three. We barely made a dent in them. It was just under $20 between the two of us sharing a fry and drink. Again, service was top. Employee offered us free upgrades on our burgers as they had extra patties, and we got our food very quickly for being made fresh. The quaility of our food was exceptional, everything is made fresh every day and you can taste it. Pattie itself was well-done but juicy, there was plenty of perfectly melted cheese, all veggies were fresh and crisp, burger was high-quality and condiments were in perfect proportions--not overdone like at some places. And the fries were really good too! Usually hadmade fries are dry and in need of sauce, but these were perfect, and nicely seasoned. The only thing I think some people might not like is the limited menu (which I completely understand and expect from a place that makes everything from scratch) and the way they serve their food. It's packaged in a to-go bag, with the fries kind of dumped on top. There aren't trays or anything for eating in, although there are plenty of tables for doing so.
