At my previous apartment, we stayed for a while to make sure everything was going smoothly before driving to our new place. When we left, the crew appeared to have already moved the majority of our belongings out. It took us about 40 minutes to drive to the new apartment, plus another 20 minutes to get settled and make sure our cat was safe. An hour after we had left, I received a call saying they had just finished loading the truck and were only then heading to our new apartment. Given how much had already been completed before we left, that timeline didn't make sense to me and left me questioning how efficiently the remaining work was being done. Another frustrating part of the experience was that, at both the pickup and delivery locations, the movers repeatedly asked me where they should park the moving truck. I don't drive commercial moving trucks, and I hired professionals because I expected them to know how to handle those logistics. I was also told that if they received a parking ticket, I would be responsible for paying it, which I found unreasonable. Once they arrived at the new apartment, the pace continued to feel unnecessarily slow. There were multiple trips carrying only one or two small items at a time. Eventually, my partner and I started helping unload our own belongings because we wanted to get the move finished. We also noticed several bathroom breaks throughout the job, which only added to the feeling that the process was taking much longer than necessary. The final interaction left a bad impression as well. I fully intended to leave a tip for good service, but before I even had the chance, one of the movers repeatedly asked for cash after I had already explained that I didn't have any. Being pressured for a tip at the end of an already disappointing experience felt unprofessional. Moving is already stressful, and I hired professionals hoping to make the day easier. Instead, I left feeling that the job took much longer than it should have, communication was poor, and the overall experience did not justify the cost. I can't recommend this company based on my experience.

Because we had such a good experience when we made another move a few years later we reached out to them again. Due to unforeseen circumstances, our move out date and packing dates had to be changed multiple times, but Iliya worked with us patiently to help find us a crew within just a few days that was able to move us out efficiently and conveniently. Carlos and his moving crew were superb and worked quickly, with a positive attitude, and were willing to accommodate a lot of our requests. Gregory, our onsite lead, was responsive, well organized, and his four-person crew worked very hard. My advice to anyone moving is to be realistic about how much stuff you have. I got three quotes. One company estimated one-and-a-half 27-foot trucks, while Royal and another company estimated one 27-foot truck. My move-out apartment was 895 sq ft with a large patio. Before moving day, I made two 10-foot Home Depot truck trips myself with the delicate and bulky items: my electric bike, Peloton, and other things that don't stack well. Royal filled a 27-foot truck with everything else, efficiently using all the available space. We did go a little over the estimate because of rush-hour traffic. The only part I didn't enjoy was the payment app prompting for a tip at checkout. After a long moving day, that was one unnecessary stress point because I never know what's considered an appropriate tip for professional movers. Fortunately, I had already planned ahead with cash tips and cold Gatorades for the crew throughout the day. I highly recommend Royal Movers. They made a difficult move much easier. From the first inquiry and quote to the booking and moving day, the entire process was great. There are follow-up emails, a personal link to the quote with the contract and a breakdown of all costs and the "fine print" is easy to follow and understand. No scamming or surprise charges. You get a call the day before from the dispatch confirming your move and the movers call you on the day when they're on their way to give you a more accurate ETA. Kay was friendly and a total professional. She explained everything really well and answered all my questions. Tons of value for a long distance move (Palm Springs to Los Angeles area). The move was for my 89-year-old mom and Kay made me feel secure and confident about the service. The two men that showed up on moving day were rockstars. I feel like a jerk for not writing down their names. They were so nice and went above and beyond to help me get my mom settled in. They were so nice to my mom. I can't say enough good things because this was one of the easiest moves I've ever experienced. He even told me that I would have to deal with "bad karma." I had treated them with respect throughout the job, gave them business, and even provided food and snacks. To be treated that way simply because I didn't leave the tip they wanted was completely unprofessional and inappropriate. I have no problem tipping for good service, but a tip should never be expected or demanded, and customers certainly shouldn't be insulted for declining. Jeremiah's communication heading into the move was excellent and Mike and his team arrived right in the window they said they would. As soon as I gave them the rundown of the place, they wasted ZERO time and got straight to work - all the way until the last item was carried into the new place. Heading into this move, I was worried about taking apart our bed frames and putting them back together. Mission Movers took care of it at no extra cost. But the biggest thing for me is how friendly and HONEST the team was. One of my dining chairs was already cracked before the move and they approached me and apologized for thinking they did it. That small gesture went a long way for me and I know they were going to find a solution even if it was their fault. They also could've charged me for a full 4 hours but charged me to the exact minute they worked at 3.75 hours. Not to mention it was also a really hot day and they powered through it without a single complaint. My wife and I have said several times that we don't know how we would've done it without Mission Movers. I know exactly who I'm hiring for any of my future moves. 10/10 experience! PS: don't forget to tip your movers!!! These guys weren't expecting it and they were so grateful - it only made me wish I had more to give.

I did notice a slightly awkward interaction between an older female employee and another customer browsing near the VHS/DVD and jewelry counter. The employee called out "next," which made it seem like she thought the customer was ready to check out. When the customer didn't respond right away, the employee called out louder to get her attention kinda sounded annoyed. The customer looked a little caught off guard and replied that she was just browsing before continuing to look around. It was a bit of an odd moment, but when that same employee ended up checking us out, everything went smoothly and we had no issues. Overall it was a fun thrifting trip and I'd definitely come back again. Next time I want to spend more time exploring the clothing section!

- Spent 8 hours to move a 1-bedroom apartment with 2 movers. - The movers, despite the company's claim of strictly following CDC guidelines, asked to use the bathroom throughout the day and washed their hands at the kitchen sink. They also didn't wear their masks the entire time. - I was left with 2 broken items and minor dents/scratches on 2 other items. - When I asked about a MISSING item, the mover accused me of lying that it had ever existed. The missing item was later found ON THE TRUCK! This same mover also tried to claim that I disassembled one of the BROKEN items myself, but that was impossible because the item was turned on when they arrived. - My refrigerator door is now slightly ajar from the move and doesn't shut evenly. - There was random SAND, of all things, left on my floor around the sofa and when I lifted the seat cushion, there was more sand ??? - My original quote more than doubled when it was time to pay! We've had many movers over the years, but these guys were the best and most professional so far. The crew showed up on move day, and the foreman quickly assessed our situation and inspired a lot of confidence as he laid out the day's plan. The crew had a good attitude, worked quickly, and all the guys were helpful. I wasn't sure everything would fit on the truck but these guys must be great at Tetris because there was even room to spare at the end. We were about 75% packed when they showed up, and they filled in the gaps. We arrived safely at our destination and they unpacked and placed all the furniture. And nothing got damaged! I have used these movers now a total of 4 times. They are always quick and efficient and there are never any hidden charges. Everything is laid out in the beginning when they confirm your move and you know exactly what to expect on what you will spend. They have moved two apartments and two professional spaces for me and I have recommended them to friends who also swear by them. The only thing I will say is that one of the movers asked to use the restroom multiple times during the last move and did not lift the seat so there was pee all over my floor and toilet seat. They arrived on time and Shamil, Arman and Belek got right to work covering and shrink-wrapping practically everything. The truck was plenty big enough to fit everything we had moving out of a two bedroom home with lots of stuff in the garage. Their were lots of stairs at the Townhome we were moving into but in no time they were done and I would highly recommend their services. The cash price of $109/hr is a bargain, as this is not easy work and I was more than happy to give each of them a very nice tip. They wrapped my furniture and handled all items with care even up and down the stairs. Alex, Ilay and Emil moved the mountain of boxes in no time and helped arrange the furniture in its new place. Greg and crew were the best movers I've ever hired. They helped my wife and I move from Culver City to Torrance. They showed up on time, they worked extremely efficient/fast, carefully, and were very polite. I've hired a few movers in the past and these guys were by far the best. Alex and Izzy came to my place on short notice and were able to unload 2 UHaul U-Boxes in good time. I hired News Moving Company to unload my truck after a move. The quote came through fast and was…read morevery reasonable. It was supposed to include assembling furniture and have no extra fees. The movers showed up on time and were very courteous. I did not have a big move and had friends to help. I opted to hire movers specifically because I needed help with the bigger furniture pieces and assembly, something that has never been an issue with any moving company I've hired in the past. I asked for the movers to set up my bed and sofa with instructions on how I wanted it while my friends and I helped with unloading the truck. Later that evening, I was extremely disappointed to find that they had not fully assembled my sofa, which was a pull out. All of the pieces were present as well as the owner's manual. It was frustrating that they did not assemble it, but even more frustrating that they did not bring it to my attention so that I could be involved to help resolve the issue. The sofa was clearly not fully assembled (not something that might have been overlooked)-- they slid the unassembled piece so that it was hidden and left it for me to find after they were gone. I understand if they are not able to figure out how to assemble it, but if it was part of the job that they were hired for, then they should bring it to attention if not able to complete the task for whatever reason. This was annoying, BUT the movers were good otherwise. The reason why this review is ONE star is due to the follow up from the company after. I sent a message expressing my frustration and disappointment that the movers had not completed assembly or brought it to my attention, and the moving company basically said that I did not say that I needed furniture assembled, and that was my fault for not disclosing I had a sofa bed, and that they would have charged more for that. I sent them their initial quote to me, which outlined that furniture assembly was included. They never asked me for a breakdown of furniture. And why would I tell you that I needed assembly if it was in your quote? No moving company has ever charged extra for this sofa bed (I've moved with it 3 times now). And the quote was supposed to be no extra fees. I said it was still unprofessional for them to leave / hide it and not let me know, and she said they were not aware (it was CLEARLY not assembled-- they knew). Never once did they offer an apology or acknowledge that there was anything done wrong on their end, they only argued with me and put blame on me (the customer) for something no other company has ever had an issue with. All I was looking for was acknowledgement, and left with a worst taste in my mouth. There are a ton of other moving companies other there. Please keep in mind when News Moving says NO EXTRA FEES, it does not mean no extra fees (they would have charged more for the sofa bed, per the representative). No other company has ever charged more for this. And News Moving will not fully stand up to everything in their quote. No other moving company I've used has ever fussed about assembling furniture. AND, most importantly, you should go with a company who cares about the satisfaction of their customers and takes ownership of their mistakes. News Moving company does not.

They have gone beyond and above my wildest expectations. I stored my things with them for three years and when I went to move my stuff it looked as if everything had come right out of my house. Elesios was professional in handling the day, providing me with a courtesy call 15 mins and 5 mins of arrival. He assisted with directing and smooth packing and loading of my items, offering what ever materials available to protect my belongings. Though my move to the new location was literally next door, the distance needed to unload from the truck to my new location was not as straight forward as I had hoped. Despite this Elesios and his crew navigated the best efficient path to unload in as little time as possible. I would highly recommend this company and would likely reuse their services should I ever move again.

**Extremely Disappointed -- Wouldn't Recommend**…read more I used Orda Moving on June 27th and unfortunately had a terrible experience, despite being a returning customer. I had booked the move two weeks in advance and confirmed everything with Jake K., including start time, wardrobe boxes, and specific details like leaving clothes in my dresser. The morning of the move, the crew was over FIVE HOURS LATE -- I had to follow up twice just to get updates. At first, I was told they'd be there at 11 a.m., then 12:30-1 p.m., and they finally arrived at 2:45 p.m. I was later told this was because there were no trucks available, which makes me question how a moving company accepts a confirmed job without basic resources. The two movers who arrived were very young, clearly inexperienced, and completely unprofessional. There was a major language barrier, they didn't understand or follow basic requests, and I had to repeatedly remind them about things that were already in my original request -- like unmounting TVs and bringing in wardrobe boxes. When they did bring the boxes, they came without the hanging bars, and I was told the warehouse "ran out of materials." So I had to individually rehang all my clothes *while paying by the hour.* The movers also: * Took an hour-long break to go eat (after saying it would be 15-20 minutes) * Used my personal chargers -- one even dug into a packed box to find one * Taped boxes sloppily and stacked fragile items poorly * Asked inappropriate questions about personal belongings * Left scuff marks on my walls and floors * Tried to charge extra for my dresser, even though I had cleared that with Jake ahead of time * Seemed surprised/frustrated that my new place had stairs -- even though it was in my original move request To top it off, they didn't provide a breakdown of charges or have me sign anything before or after the move, which they had done on my previous moves. They initially tried to charge me $881 for 6+ hours of inefficient, unprofessional service, even though I had scheduled a 9 a.m. move to avoid traffic and parking issues -- which we ended up dealing with anyway, at 7 p.m. on a Friday. I had to argue for a discount and was told I was getting $131 off, but even that felt like a slap in the face. Someone from operations that I eventually got on the phone told me I had picked a "busy time of the month and week" -- as if they hadn't accepted my booking and confirmed it weeks prior. This experience was frustrating, exhausting, and totally unprofessional. I've used Orda before with better results, but this time was unacceptable. Poor communication, poor planning, and completely underqualified movers. I won't be using them again -- and I'd caution anyone else considering them to think twice.
