Husband recently came here to get his Tesla model 3 fixed after someone hit his car in the parking lot. Took 11 days or so and it's done!

Had my car fixed here at Fix Auto Tustin in Aug 2021. In the beginning everything was great, they were responsive and all. It was when I got my car back then I begin to encounter problems. They supposedly repainted my hood to match the color of my replaced bumper. There were swirl marks all over the hood and the "new" bumper cover. I had to have my detailer to polish it out. Right front fender was also replaced, but it looked like they had to bend it so it'd fit. Worst thing was, I was billed for a new repeater (side camera for Tesla), but they stole the new repeater. They absolutely did not replace my repeater. I knew it was still the old repeater because it still has the same scratch on it. Confronted them about it and they claimed that Tesla had sent them the wrong side (left). And since the old one is still functioning, they didn't reorder. But they did not return it or take it off my bill either. read more

I have some minor damage on my model 3. basically the under panel in front if my Tesla Model 3 was coming off because off some debris on the freeway. I went to 1 other Tesla certified fixer and they wanted to take the whole bumper off and respray it and quoted me $4000. I was like I didn't have that kind of money and when I came to Fix Auto Tustin, they took care of me and fixed the panel for me for a couple of hundred dollars. I had minor roof and windshield damage on my new Hyundai. This place gave me an estimated completion date of 3 days which I thought was really good. Then my nightmare started. I got a text message moving the completion date a week later. I called them to find out why. They told me that they didn't have the windshield replacement. I was thinking I will get my car back until the new windshield arrived. Surprisingly they had already pulled the windshield from my car without verifying the parts were available. I got an excuse telling me that their suppliers web site had it listed as available but when they ordered it it came back as not available. I am like how can you pull the windshield without verifying and confirming and verifying the replacement was available? All I got from them was a sorry and that it was not their fault or responsibility. The worst part was that they did not know when the part was going to be available. They gave me a tentative estimate of 3 weeks and even they could not confirm that. I wa stuck with no car, no estimated completion date and the shop not wanting to take any responsibility. The hopelessness is only thing I felt. So this place may do a good job repairing your car. But if something goes wrong, don't be surprised if they start coming up with excuses and not try to help the customer out. Luckily, they were able to find a replacement windshield and fix my car this week. But this place cause a great deal of misery in my life for the last 2 weeks. I went to Fix Auto Tustin due to a hit and run that happened recently. This was my first ever accident, so I went into the auto shop initially having no clue as to how the process goes about. The front office walked my through the paperwork process to ensure that I knew all the terms, policies, and what to expect overall. As soon as I came in, Angel, one of the estimators, quickly went ahead and assessed the damages on my car. He gave me a quick and thorough run- down of how the process goes about. He ensured me that not only the damages on my car would be fixed, but any other complications that my car had, even if it wasn't due to the accident, would also be fixed. That was very helpful in the sense that it saved me from going to another mechanic appointment! During the initial wait period, I was very satisfied with how communicative Angel was with me during the process! Not only did he update me about anything that was happening to my car, but the shop automatically sends me updates and even the estimate as they go along repairing! There was also a designated time placed, so I knew around what time I would be able to come pick up the car. I was given the offer of having a rental (but didn't end up needing one.) I told Angel about my concerns with not having my car at a specific time, so he did his best to accommodate me, and gave me a deadline where I would be able to pick up my car. Originally the pick up date was for Friday, June 18th, but I was actually able to pick up my car today! (June 16th) When I picked up the car today, my car looked as good as new! The paint job was AMAZING! My car is so sleek and it looks like exactly how I bought it way before. I am completely amazed at how great my experience was, and will continue to come here for any sort of car reparations that I may need in the future. Brought my Tesla Model Y for insurance body work to be done to it. When I picked up my car and drove away my driver door tweeter enclosure fell out hanging by a wire. Inspected it and they had broke it during removing the door interior. Drove back and the advisor told me would order the part and have me drive back another day to fix it. One that's a huge inconvenience considering I live 30-45 mins away and two he never called me back or updated me. So now i'm left with a brand new car with a broken tweeter enclosure. Preface: I was pulling into a parking space in Downtown Disney and some nimrod opened his passenger side door into my truck's driver side door just as I was about to stop. My door looked like a crumpled can of soda; the other guy's door was totally jacked. He also had no insurance. Geico, my insurance company, couldn't get a hold of this guy. He kept ducking them until they finally agreed to honor my claim (after MUCH pestering from me). I had a body shop I wanted to bring my truck to, but the woman I spoke with at Geico suggested I use their approved body shop because they've got a claims agent on-site and the work has a lifetime guarantee. I was leery, but since I just wanted to get all this over with I agreed. I got here for my 8am appt and was met by John. He proceeded to explain to me exactly what they were going to do with my truck, how they'd fix the damage, etc. He addressed any concerns I had about what needed to be done and was extremely thorough. While he made notes on my truck (using a washable highlighter), my Geico claims agent asked me some questions about the accident and told me about my coverage. John said they'd start on my truck that day and it should be done before the end of the week. I was surprised since I had assumed they'd have it for at least a week. He also told me they were using a text messaging system to notify me of their progress. I signed a few papers and left. These guys weren't kidding about keeping me informed. Later that day I got a call explaining what needed to be done and the estimate (which I was 100% covered on). Then came the text messages... each one letting me know how close to completion my truck was. They quoted me a Thurs pickup by 5pm, then sent me a text an hour later to say it'd be done on Wed instead. Sweet. I got another text on Wed that my truck was "ready to come home". Honestly, the work they do speaks for itself. My truck left looking better than it did before the accident. Not only was the door brand-spanking-new, but they also cleaned my interior, dressed the exterior with protectants, shined up my wheels/rims and left it looking like I'd just gotten a wax. They even found a spare key the previous owner had stashed somewhere on the truck that I didn't know about. The entire process was quick, painless and easier than any mechanic I've ever dealt with before. Then they kept adding more to the list after I left - they replaced stuff on the complete other side, the inside, repainted the whole car, and more! For one door scratch. They said it would take 2 days and it took 8, but that's bcuz they kept updating the price with more items they felt like replacing that the Geico lady who has an office there never disputed - $3,000 in repairs for an 8-9" long scratch on one door! Then what happened a month later? Geico raised my insurance premium by 130%! So be careful if you are referred there by insurance, they'll replace all sorts of stuff that doesn't need it, just to get that money. They get two stars because the quality of work was solid. A few months ago my daughter's car was hit from behind and needed bumper repair/paint. We checked with Fix Auto, got an estimate and they scheduled a drop-off date and time. Upon arrival at the scheduled time, I was told that "everyone is in a meeting and we can't help you until it's over" (mind you, THEY set the time for me to arrive). So, this "meeting" paralyzes their whole business and the little tatted-up counter girl with an attitude tells me it "will be at least 40 minutes." Translation: we will help you only when we're damn good and ready. I had a very tight schedule that morning and might have tried to make things work, but the desk clerk is what unsealed the deal for me. Clearly, it was an imposition for her to even talk to customers and I got to thinking...if these idiots can't even schedule an appointment properly, how are they going to do something complicated like repair the car? Amanda from enterprise was nowhere to be found and tried to give me a car that smells like somebody lived in it with cigarette burns in the passenger seat floor mat as a rental for the week and then proceeded to say there was nothing else available. Unless I wanted to come back later in the day. Anton Harris of Fix It Auto was very knowledgeable on physics but after reviewing other yelp first statements on the quality of work I chose to just get my quote and leave. I brought my vehicle here after it was arranged with GEICO to come to this shop. John, the assigned shop technician, was honest about what Fix it! Auto was going to do to my vehicle and I appreciated him walking me through the process. I was originally going to go through my own insurance carrier, but the shop I was assigned to told me I couldn't fix the damaged area without getting additional work done that would double my expenses. John didn't do that to me and was as confused as I was that that was even suggested to me. I appreciate him not jipping me on all of this. I had broken off my visor on the driver's side the same day as the accident (all-around great day) and John offered to order a new one through Toyota. He contacted me after dropping off my car to confirm the price (that he guessed accurately before calling Toyota, so he's familiar with pricing) and got the part quicker than anticipated. The front office staff members were organized and professional. The payment process was explained and quickly executed. I didn't get any negative vibes from these two women and they were patient when customers came up to them and asked them questions about the work being done on their cars. It did not take long to get an update from Josh about the status of my vehicle and the work estimate while John reached out quickly to let me know what the shop fixed. The technicians went above and beyond, restoring my car to a better condition than it was before the accident. I was thrilled when I got it back and am thankful for the amazing job the technicians did. This job, and the visor, was all done in max two or three days. I was happy I got my car back as quickly has I did. They cleaned the interior, washed the exterior, and could tell they tuned up my car while it was in the shop. That was exceptionally thoughtful and I definitely compared this to the maintenance service the dealership did a while back. If you can check to see if your insurance carrier or the other party's carrier recommends this shop, try and get an appointment scheduled here. Good customer service, mostly friendly staff, but not very detail oriented. I visited Fix Auto as it was one of the approved body shops for Geico (not my insurance). Each time they kept my car (twice so far), it was in the shop for over 5 full working days. After the first round, there was wind noise during highway driving, a misaligned bumper, a long "depression" on the newly painted bumper, and a door handle that felt like orange peel. I met with Ron (who stated he was the manager) on the second round. He was apologetic and stated that his "guys didn't pay close attention" to the details. Ron stated the paint job on the handle "would be fine for a Chevy" but I didn't have a Chevy and expected a paint job that matched the original kind and quality prior to the recent accident. After picking up my vehicle for the second time, most of the issues were resolved except for the door handle (even though the itemized invoice showed they charged for an hour worth of work to polish it). I contacted a couple of the Fix staff yesterday for next steps and look forward to hearing from them. Tip: My vehicle was pulled to the left side of the parking lot entrance (driveway) each time so I felt pressured to leave quickly. I took in my car after I was involved in a three car accident. The party responsible for the damages was insured by Geico so I was referred to this body shop by the claims adjustor. Fix Auto has a Geico representative onsite as well as an Enterprise office and Hertz office for your car rental needs. Dropping off my car and picking up my car was a breeze. The service was very professional, fast and accommodating. The Geico adjustor that assisted me was Aaron and the body shop manager is Art. They were very friendly and helpful as to informing me what the repairs of my car would be and the ETA. I would receive text message updated on the status of my car which was very helpful. I was provided with a rental while my car was in the process of being fixed and Enterprise has a lot of choices. I was going through an insurance so I got a pretty sweet deal on upgrading my rental to a luxury sedan. I hope not to be involved in another car accident but if I am I will definitely be giving Fix Auto a call. read more
