My sister and I went to Flaming Seafood Buffet hoping for a great experience and some delicious food, but unfortunately it was very disappointing and honestly below average. Most of the food was room temperature, including items that should have been kept properly hot or cold. That was especially concerning when it came to the seafood. The mussels were overly warm and tasted off, and a lot of the fish did not seem to be stored at appropriate food safe temperatures. Several items also tasted stale. The pricing didn't match the experience. It was $23 per person plus $6 for a drink, and I never once received a refill. In fact, I didn't even realize we had a server until the very end when she brought the check. The restaurant wasn't busy, so it was confusing and disappointing that no one checked on us throughout the meal. The only positive was the sushi. it wasn't bad, and the woman preparing it was very kind and sweet. However, if I had wanted just sushi, I would have gone to an AYCE sushi restaurant instead. Overall, the restaurant felt messy and unorganized, and the experience simply wasn't worth the money we paid. Had to try our neighborhood seafood buffet and it didn't disappoint for the price. They have sushi, a hibachi station, Chinese food, dim sum, and some American food as well. We went during the weekend so it was $20 plus I got a soda. We went with a party of 11 and got seated in about 10 minutes on a friday around 7pm. My favorite was the sushi since they had nigiri and sashimi! For dessert there were ice cream cups, some cakes, and cookies. First, let's start with the fact they took my plate from my table that was in front of my face without asking if I'm done or still working on it -- which I was still working on it. Literally food still on there. But it was fine cause I wasn't a huge fan of the food anyways so I did not make a fuss. 2nd, very nice ambiance and restaurant but food wasn't up to the same standards. Lacking in flavor and quality. Coconut shrimp was hard and chewy. Maybe cause it was the last of it in there and they wait til the very last piece is gone before setting out fresh trays. Few things were good like this crispy chicken skewer they had and bbq pork, miso soup. Everything else looked great but just was lacking in flavor. I couldn't even eat the chow mein and rice which in my opinion is hard to ruin because of its simple ingredients but the flavor of most of the food tasted like... fake. I don't know how else to describe. Like a plastic-y taste. Likely because buffet is quantity over quality but I've been to similar buffets like one in Buena Park has never failed me on flavor and good seasonings when comparing the two. We were in the area nearby to go see a movie at Norwalk AMC, wanting to have a nice lunch before watching and decided to stop in to try. It wasn't terrible but it wasn't anything to have me rushing to return and I honestly wouldn't recommend or return in the future to be honest. If you're really hungry or not a big Asian food connoisseur such as myself you might enjoy most of what they have to offer. Ok guys I'm always honest...here we go... our school decided on this place to commence the school year and we had over 95 people in our group. It was fine in terms of buffet. My husband pointed out that I am the only person who got the oysters... Ha! I cured them with tons of lemon juice and chili sauce. They were curing for over 20 min and I ate them with vinegar and chili sauce. I then moved on to their Mongolian BBQ and got their Kalbi....it was full of fat and gristle. The vibe of the place is very like hurry up if that makes sense it doesn't really feel that cozy . The sushi is amazing in my opinion the sushi chef really has a wide variety and I love that . The servers are a bit cold and don't really attend to you as much as, I had to wait and watch my server pass me twice as I was trying to respectfully speak up and ask for a refill but she just acted like she didn't hear me . Probably the worst Chinese buffet I've been to. I'm not sure if it is different for dinner but I went for lunch. I want to say that probably 60-70% of the food was vegetables. I walked around I couldn't find very much of what I wanted to eat. Other than everything mostly being veggies, the fried stuff was also stale and felt like it was reheated from the night before. Sushi was okay but I had a weirdly hard piece of something inside the fried roll which was also kind of stale. The fresh made Mongolian noodles were plain literally gave it to us just fried with no sauce at all. To top it all off I think I came home with mild food poisoning. When I woke up from my nap i immediately felt off and went to the restroom to throw up. I'm not sure what happened with this location but I've been to the Fullerton one and that one felt like it had better food overall. On the day of our reservation, the servers were organized about directing our guests and getting drink orders. The food stations were plentiful and clean. Variety was great. There was even a sushi station and ice cream freezer. The taste of the food, however, was average. Same as what you expect at other similar "Seafood" buffets. As we were leaving, we took some ice cream to eat later. An employee stopped us and spoke to us very rudely. He did not allow us to eat the ice cream and treated us with disrespect. His behavior felt unprofessional and inappropriate, especially in front of my family. He appeared to be a manager, and his attitude was very bad. Looking for a cheap Chinese buffet at a very reasonable price? This is a place for you. There are a lot of other cheap Chinese buffets, but this place is a lot more affordable than others especially considering the number of dishes they have. The food options were typical of other restaurants in terms of the seafood options and Chinese dishes, but they had very little in terms of dessert. No loss for me as I don't go there for the desserts, but they did have packaged single serving ice cream cups available which was a nice touch. As for the taste of the food in general, I will say that something was lacking something. The food was okay but I don't know if it's less seasoned or what, but it was lacking something. I'd drive past this building all the time seeing it was under construction, so imagine my surprise when they finally opened! As someone inclined more towards the seafood, I can say that the hot items were quite fresh, especially the crab and crawfish. Sushi bar had a decent variety, more rice than desired but that's okay. Had sashimi too, the salmon (which I always look for) was buttery & creamy, delicious. Appreciated the cold items too, don't see too many places with jellyfish or pork hock! Hot items were generally decent. Some are a tad underseasoned (the seafood soup as an example), but I actually prefer that since you can just salt it yourself instead of it starting out excessively salty. I didn't use it but they do have a hibachi station! Dessert fruit was especially fresh, I enjoyed that they had egg tarts (though they were left out a little too long and a bit shriveled). Servers were very nice and responsive! Wasn't too crowded when I went at 5:30 on a Sunday, parking could get crowded towards peak hours though since the plaza is a bit narrow.
