Deeply disappointed. This was always a "go to spot " in Lake George. Food was "ok" the service was as slow as the "Maple syrup ".

We visit this place for breakfast EVERY time we are in Lake George. It's right at the end of the strip and very easy to get to. The food is great every time and I love that they have the real maple syrup. The staff is always friendly and always willing to come by and refill your coffee. Keep up the great work!! read more

Best coffee on the lake. Great breakfast spot! The parking lot looks really busy but once you get inside there are plenty of seats. Went to days in a row for the weekend we were there. Staff was attentive prices reasonable and the food was good. Very rustic place with a fireplace and Moose antler lights. read more

Wait was short - they said 20 minutes but it was only like 10 min. We sat and ordered 3 big breakfasts with eggs, French toast, bacon - Wait seemed very long for foot to arrive (exactly 30 minutes). I was there on 7/20 and again on 7/22. Breakfast can be a tricky thing and this place is great. Portions were huge, came out of the kitchen in a flash and everything was hot. The meals were done to our order and the bacon is the best in the entire area. The waitress was pleasant, funny and very attentive. We arrived when the doors opened and were back on our way in 45 minutes. Can't beat it and really can't beat it for the price. Try this place! read more

My family and I arrived at this restaurant for breakfast. We were seated within 5 minutes of arriving. The waitress came over to ask what we wanted to order for drinks. We were all ready to order and apparently the waitress was not. The waitress was rude to my wife insisting that we only order drinks. She eventually showed up with our drinks and was willing to take our order. There was an awkward silence at the table as my children were trying to process why this woman was so rude. Our food arrived.....hash browns consisted of 4 brown burnt pieces of potatoes. The scrambled eggs were OK. I enjoyed my pancakes. My son said the French toast was mediocre. The bacon was over cooked. My daughter enjoyed the sausage on her plate, although her English muffin was WELL DONE. The atmosphere of the restaurant was nice...think log cabin/maple syrup type of scene. BTW...they charge extra for their "maple syrup". We are staying in the area for a week, but we will not be returning. Absolutely not worth it. Service was sub-par. Food was overpriced. read more

The Colossal Breakfast option comes with 2 pancakes or French toast slices, eggs, home fries, and choice of sausage or bacon. Generous but not grandiose portions and the coffee is smooth and hot. Menu isn't too big, but there's lots of room for customization for what they have. Cozy atmosphere. Definitely recommend! read more

My real rating is 2.5 stars. I went here for the "colossal breakfast" to fuel up after a 24 mile run. The meal was a colossal disappointment. There were 2 good sized pancakes, and the eggs were cooked nicely, but the scoop of homefries was only about 3 bites and the sausage was only browned on 1 side and had clearly been sitting under a heat lamp for a while. Luckily I got an English muffin too so I filled up. But I was not stuffed to the brim as I would expect from something "colossal" - I had to stop off and get a scone on my walk back to the hotel. One nice surprise was the coffee which was better than average, though nothing gourmet. Also on the plus side was the waitress. I hand coffee within 90 seconds if being seated and she was attentive. The food also came blisteringly quick (5 minutes after ordering), which I suspect is because most of the food was cooked earlier. All in all this place was not worth the money. read more

For the food, I would give it a 4 stars - my omelette was great and my daughter's egg and ham was decent as well. The wait might be longer than other places, but it was acceptable for us. However, the female owner (the lady behind the cashier) rolled her eyes and gave me a dirty look after i paid with credit card and said good bye to her - everything was fine until we paid - I guess my ~18.5% tips for breakfast (I calculated it after coming home as I was eager to find out if I underpaid the tips!) was not enough? I went during the second to last week of winter festival on a Sunday around 11am. I know Lake George is not particularly busy during the winter and not many places are open during the season, so we were happy to find that this place to sit and enjoy brunch. The place definitely has character with hunting and outdoor memorabilia on proud display, however the place lacks on customer service and food quality. The restaurant was understaffed taking the waitress about 10 minutes to acknowledge our drinks and during that time we saw other patrons waiting on their servers as well. Our food came out almost 35 minutes after and most of it was overcooked. To top it off, the waitress was in such a rush to get to her other table she knocked over a drink spilling it on to my son, and went to attend the next guests. This left my group very displeased and worsened the experience. It may have been perhaps a day that they have adequate staff, but it did not justify the lack of quality. read more

I wish I could give this place 0 stars. I have never written a review but maybe it was because I have never had such a horrible experience at restaurant in my life. THE SERVICE WAS BEYOND AWFUL!!!! We came for breakfast around 9:00 on a Saturday so we expected a wait. We were surprised when we were seated right away. We were the only ones in the restaurant with 2 two year olds (2 adults and 2 children). At 9:20 a waitress came to our table to ask if we wanted drinks. We told her we wanted to order our food and she said she would be back to do that. 15 minutes later, she came back without our drinks and to order our food. At 9:40 we received our 2 waters and 2 coffees. We still did not have silverware or placemats. The food did not arrive until 10:10, over an hour after we sat down!!! I was given the wrong order (missing hash and home fries) and had to wait ANOTHER 10 minutes for the rest of my order to arrive. There was no apology, nothing taken off our order, nothing! We then had to wait another 10 minutes to pay since you have to pay up front and there was no one there to help us. I am still fuming over the whole experience! When I wanted to talk to the manager, she was nowhere to be found. Save yourself some time and DO NOT EVER GO HERE!!!!! Just HORRIBLE! read more
