This breakfast place is located smack in the middle of the main drag in Pigeon Forge, but then again so are several other locations up and down this road. Good for breakfast, there are many pancake options, regular eggs and meat options and also Omelet options. Our waitress was very friendly and kept us refilled and taken care of. Our drinks came out in mason jars and the food took a bit but we had several plates so that was expected. The place has a rustic cabin feel to it, we went about 10am on a Monday, so it wasn't too busy, The only real issue we had and not sure how it could be avoided but because the air conditioner and ceiling fans were going, the food cooled off real quick as soon as we received it. The sausage gravy and eggs were not as hot as they could have been. Thing to try is the Hash Brown Cheezy casserole, very tasty, kids thought it reminded them of mac and cheese. Nice breakfast place to hit before the amusement park. read more

We did not have to wait. Little pricey but you're in pigeon forge. What's not a little pricey. Server was nice and helpful. Food was hot and delicious. Ordered wonderland entree and cinnamon roll pancakes and the candied bacon. Everything was great. No complaints. read more

Never do they disappoint. This place is a must. They have a Piegon Fordge location and a short drive down the road, they have one in Gatlinburg. Between the Meat Lover Omelet and the Reese Peanut Butter Pancakes, I was in heaven. read more

This place was awesome. We felt bad going in thirty minutes before they closed (I work in a restaurant - I hate when people do that!) We arrived around 11:30 Sunday morning, had to wait for an hour. Luckily this is the Hot Rods weekend, we walked around and saw some Hot Rods to kill times. They texted and called us when table is ready and it was about an hour. They were right on on the waiting time. I had BLT &E. It came with hash browns. The BLT was mediocre. Bacon were pretty fatty. Meh. It's not IHOP. The food and service weren't horrible; however, it was a bit underwhelming after the word of mouth we heard concerning it. The restaurant and environment were really nice. First breakfast in town this trip. I had the country ham and eggs feast. I was extremely disappointed in the gravy. Their idea of country gravy is vastly different than mine. Theirs is more of a sawmill gravy. Which in my opinion is more like paste. The biscuits were a bit hard and dry. The ham was okay. My husband enjoyed his omelet. My eggs were cooked perfectly. The coffee was very good. I probably won't go back for breakfast. The service was very good though. read more

The food was good here especially the pancakes. My issues was that they did not have strawberry syrup. What pancake restaurant does not have strawberry syrup. The glasses for the drink are small jars so I needed to keep calling the waitress over to refill. Server was nice but lady with long hair who brought food out was not friendly. There was a 30-40 minute wait time. We put our name down and explored downtown Pigeon Forge while waiting. We were called at about 45 minutes after and were seated at a booth. The table was quite sticky and didn't seem very clean. I ordered the banana nut pancakes, which is a popular flapjack favorite and they tasted similar to IHOP style pancakes. Nothing impressive in my opinion. The side of bacon was mostly fat and soggy, whereas my boyfriend and I prefer lean, crispy bacon. The coffee was ok, would prefer a flavored sweet creamer. My boyfriend enjoyed his omelette scramble with hashbrowns served in a skillet and thought the pancakes were OK. read more

Spent 3 days in Pigeon Forge and I just have to say this was the best food we ate the whole time we were here. And, considering today's prices with shrinkflation, I gotta say it was very reasonable priced! That being said, with the food as great as it was and shrinkflation not taking its hold, expect a wait. They are very, very busy! Took us about 45 mins to get in and then another hour to get out for 2 people so plan accordingly. read more

No wait, super cute. Best part of the meal was our server. Kids enjoyed their pancakes. My food came out lukewarm almost cold, bacon had a strange aftertaste, and hash browns were so dry I couldn't eat them. The food had definitely been sitting for a while before I got it. Husband said his food wasn't hot either. I don't think the food is made to order based on other reviews. I think it's premade and just put onto plates when people order. Coffee was decent. The food in this place is HORRIBLE! We arrived at 8:25. The place opens at 8. The only thing that was hot was the Coffee. We ordered at 8:30 and the food came out at 8:32!! Almost everything was cold. The cheese was not melted on my eggs. My hashbrowns was about 36 degrees!! This is buffet food. They make this food in the back and put it in pans, and when you order they just scoop it up! There is no way that food could be ready that fast. You are better off going to McDonalds and saving some money! Do not waste your time and hard earned money at this place unless you like disappointment! I have been robbed!! read more

Food is good, large portions too. The main issue was the waiter pre-selected 22% tip when she gave the bill. Not cool and could easily have signed blindly. So go enjoy but be careful when the bill comes! read more

I was extremely weary of this place. Never heard to many good things about it. Well, here is my unbiased opinion on Flapjacks. In a pinch it's a good option. Food was good, hot and pretty quick. It's a busy place but will get you seated quickly. The pancakes were so light and fluffy. I had the Sticky Bun pancakes and my son had the chocolate chip pancakes. Great location, with great service. Staff was friendly and attentive. We placed our order, and just minutes later it was brought to the table. Food was really good, I would definitely come back next time I'm in the area. we placed an order for the "flapjacks fritters" to go so that we can eat them on our journey back home. They were so good, and I can see where they would be habit forming. If I had one negative thing to say about this location, the bathrooms weren't very clean. Let me say this first, I love breakfast! I chose this place for no reason other than it was on the strip. I was sorely disappointed in the food. For this place to be called FlapJacks, they did not live up to their name. I ordered pecan pancakes, eggs scrambled with cheese, bacon and hash browns. My daughter ordered sticky bun pancakes, my wife ordered eggs with green peppers and my son ordered loaded hash browns. I will say the people are very friendly but that is as far as this goes. The food was not good. The flapjacks were extremely tough, my eggs were cold and no cheese was added as I requested and my hashbrowns were burned. My wife's eggs had jalepnos instead of green peppers and when she was done, there was a large piece of hair on the plate (the waiter removed her eggs from the bill). My daughter's sticky bun pancakes looked pretty but were also very tough. Our bill was still $60 after the eggs were removed and we ate half of the meal because it just wasn't good. I would look at other locations for breakfast as the food here is not good. read more

My bf and I came here on Memorial Day weekend and were pleasantly surprised with the restaurants care to my celiac disease eating restrictions. The manager was sent over and assured me that the waffle iron was a dedicated GF station. All in all, this was a hearty, filling breakfast and a great option if you have celiac! read more

This pancake house had pretty good food. The cabin burger with an overeasy egg was pretty good. The meat was kind of low grade, but it was still pretty tasty. But the homefries were real real good, and they give you a lot! The service was good and the place was rather clean. Our waitress informed us that sawyers has a "rule" that once we have ordered, my husband would not be able to even come to the table. Whatever I ordered for him would be packed in a to-go box but he couldn't eat it in the restaurant nor at the table. He'd have ti eat it outside. They were NOT busy. Maybe 10 families at best in the restaurant. I called my husband to tell him this ridiculous rule and he said no, I'll stay in the car and he won't eat breakfast and I insisted that wake our son up and he come inside. It wouldn't be fair to him. Meanwhile, the waitress asked her manager if they could make an exception but my husband was already walking in with my 18 month old. I told her if my son starts screaming because he's tired, not one employee by Sawyers better say anything about it. She said that wouldn't be a problem. I even told her that I know it's not her rule or her fault, but this is ridiculous for families to be subjected to this type of rule. The kids menu does not offer any type of waffle and my 4 year old had her heart set on a waffle. I told her they had m&m pancakes ($6.99) and she was sold on m&m's but not the pancakes. The waitress asked my daughter if she wanted a m&m waffle instead and she could get them to put the m&m's on top but they wouldn't be cooked inside the waffle. My 4 year old was so happy, she even gave the waitress a hug. Waitress was great. Fast forward to the bill, the waffle that the waitress offered my daughter... was $9.99+.99¢ for the m&m's. You are an eating establishment in a family friendly tourist town. BE FAMILY FRIENDLY. The rule about not being able to allow my husband join us when my cranky baby is catching a quick nap? That's the dumbest thing I have ever heard and quite offensive considering we are paying customers regardless. Now, when people ask me where to go and where to avoid in Pigeon Forge, Sawyer's will be at the top of the list to avoid.

Now, this should have been a slam dunk. Fried? Deviled eggs? What's not to love? The answer: the breading. There was so much of it that it overwhelmed everything else. Instead of enhancing the flavor, it buried it. The deviled egg filling barely had a chance to introduce itself before getting tackled by the coating. Then came the Farmer's Garden Omelette, which both my wife and I ordered based on our server Katie's recommendation. What arrived was an omelette that seemed to have a strained relationship with vegetables. The spinach was still essentially raw, and the vegetables felt less like ingredients and more like something someone remembered at the last second. "Oh no, this is supposed to be a vegetable omelette." Tosses vegetables into center. Closes omelette. Problem solved. The result was an omelette where the eggs and vegetables never really came together as a dish. But the biggest disappointment wasn't the food. It was the service. Our server disappeared for extended stretches despite the restaurant being nearly empty. Water glasses sat empty. No tea refills. No check-ins. At one point I started wondering if she'd been recruited into a witness protection program. The only time my iced tea was refilled was when I finally asked for the check. That's generally not the point in the meal when you're hoping service suddenly kicks into gear. What makes this experience so frustrating is the potential. The restaurant looks fantastic. The location is great. The ownership has a proven track record nearby. But on this visit, the food execution and service simply didn't match the reputation. Disappointed. Not the breakfast experience we expected. And in a town overflowing with outstanding breakfast options, that's a tough miss. Two stars. Try another breakfast spot. In Gatlinburg, you have plenty of excellent choices.
