Flemings is tucked away in a nice little shopping center right on the waterfront in Edgewater. Aside from the clean parking lot, Flemings was clean, classy, and features one of the prettiest views of the NYC skyline that Edgewater has to offer. We asked for a nice seat with a view as we celebrated my father's 70th birthday and they accomodated without any issues! We stopped by the bar before our reservation and they still had their daily happy hour special from 4-6:30pm which features some nicely priced drinks and bites. The bartender gave us some great recomendations as well as her favorites so when the time came, we knew exactly what to order. We ended up going with the Sunday special for two which featured two cuts of steak and two salads of our choice. The caesar salad was definitely the way to go. We also ordered the sea bass which came with a nice chunk of fish and got the Flemings potato and brussel sprouts. We finished it off with a creme brulee and ended up very full. An Unforgettable 12th Anniversary Dinner! We celebrated our 12-year anniversary at Fleming's, and it was hands-down one of the best dining experiences we've ever had. To start, the Blueberry Martini was absolutely delicious, my partner had an Old Fashioned which he never gets. He usually gets the sweet drinks, it was obviously opposite night with the drinks. We started with the Ahi Tuna Poke was incredibly fresh. The crispy wontons were perfect amount for 2 people to share and enjoy as a fresh start to the meal. We opted out of Salad and soup but each one on the menu seemed amazing. For sides, we shared the Brussels Sprouts and the Thai Green Beans, both of which were packed with flavor and perfectly prepared. Hands down best sides to have with steak and enough to share for like 2-3 people. The entrees completely stole the show. My partner's Bone-In Ribeye was cooked absolutely perfectly. He likes his pink or well done.... trust me I know but he likes how he orders his steaka I ordered the Dry-Aged Ribeye medium which was cooked at the perfect degree. I got the triple butter on the side and I tell you with Espresso Butter, and it was fantastic--the espresso butter adds such a rich, unique depth to the steak. The Black truffle is to die for give the steak such a great added flavor. Herbed Horseradish stole the show for me. We capped off the night with their Lava Cake, and honestly, it was the best lava cake we have ever had anywhere. Not kidding, we love our Lava cakes and we tried many in NY and NJ... Topped with Ice Cream on the side, and strawberries. Perfect amount of Lava flowing from it. Enough for 2 people to enjoy. Beyond the phenomenal food, the staff was great and incredibly attentive throughout the entire evening, making our celebration feel truly special. Champagne flutes to toast, a card and roses.... Night and Day Difference - Thank You, Danielle! I'm so glad we decided to revisit Fleming's for my daughter's graduation celebration. We were hoping to erase the memory of a disappointing experience on my wife's birthday, and to our surprise, we were warmly greeted by Operating Partner Danielle right from the start--the service was truly night and day! We ordered our usual Tomahawk steak (Tuesday special) with twin lobster tails, accompanied by asparagus and Fleming's potatoes. For dessert, we indulged in the Dark Chocolate Forest with ice cream and crème brûlée--everything was absolutely wonderful. The service was impeccable. Every staff member greeted us with a smile and consistently checked in to make sure we had everything we needed. The experience was so exceptional that we happily left a well-deserved 35% tip. Hubby and I were happy to come on the Jersey side to get a break from being in NYC all day at an event. We wanted a good meal, and we knew Flemings for their great steaks. Service was pretty good. Waitress was nice, but maybe a bit overloaded with a few other large tables. They didn't have the bottle of wine we ordered, and it took awhile for them to let us know it. But a manager did come over to offer us another wine, which we accepted complimentary glasses for our patience. That was a boss move which we appreciate! Meal was good, but our steaks were both overcooked. Because we didn't cut into and notice until after a bit after they were served, we felt we didn't want to go through the hassle of complaining and having them remade. Still, they had good flavor but my medium was really more like well done, and his med rare was a like medium well. Flavor of the salad and the brussels were good. Dessert (brownie) and coffee were excellent. So overall, a nice meal and thoughtful server staff, though price tag is pretty high. read more

Every bite felt like pure glory, I would never forget the face of my friends when they tried it! Tomahawk Tuesday is such a good deal you really cant beat how much food you get for under $200. The service was a little slow for my liking but overall a good meal at a good price. The staff at this location is extremely professional and friendly, service was on point, and the manager was walking around constantly, making sure that everyone was pleased and was serviced properly. I was celebrating my five year anniversary there and the hostess had given me a card with signatures and best wishes from the entire staff that night. The food was amazing and the steak was the best I've ever had. that was my first time having a dry aged steak and Flemmings did it properly, the char on the outside of the steak was beautifully done, and it was seasoned to perfection, and it was still so juicy for being a dry age. I would like to say that I had a wonderful night celebrating both birthday and anniversary at Fleming's. We were nicely greeted by both Danieli (host and manager and very gracious) and Darren (our server). We sat at a table overlooking the NYC skyline view. The ambiance is so nice! Darren was such a great server. First of all, trust his recommendations...excellent! He treated us like gold and both he and Danieli made our dinner very special. I started with the Beef Carpaccio...I haven't had carpaccio that good in a while...this was delicious, especially served with crunchy cheesy bread. (I can't wait to have this again!) My partner had the Prime Bone-in Ribeye...incredibly juicy and tasty, and lobster. He had a side of Thai Green Beans, which were very yummy. Tbh, the lobster was a little rubbery, but after dipping it in melted butter, it definitely helped. I had the Filet Mignon, but after tasting the Ribeye, I wish I would have ordered that instead. The Filet was just slightly chewy, but tasty, and even better with the butter that came with the lobster. I had the asparagus side...I wasn't crazy about it because they were way too thick. I'd rather have asparagus tips or go for that Thai Green Beans. Or the mashed potatoes. Afterwards, we both shared the Chocolate Lava Cake with vanilla ice cream. Tasty. Anything chocolate for me! Darren gave us a glass of Chardonnay, which he recommended, and it was on the house bc of the celebrations. The Chardonnay, was slightly sweet, paired well with the chocolate lava cake. I like very oaky wines with notes of tobacco, but I would definitely get this wine for after dinner. You'd have to ask Darren which wine it is. Btw, Darren is an exemplary server! He always checked on us, and I noticed he checked on everyone else as well. With as many tables as he had, he handled them all very well! The end of the night, Danieli was very amicable, Took the time to talk to us, had a nice conversation (we were the last to leave)...he really is a great host. Everyone is very friendly here! No pretense. So that's a plus. And the place looks bigger since they renovated with larger windows for a better skyline view. All in all, it was a wonderful experience and I can't wait to go to Fleming's again. In fact, I'll be going again this week! Thank you for making the night special! Laughable. Sitting here an hour for our check to be run. One server, fine, only four tables. Surely another staff member...or the "manager" has access to the POS system. Let's talk food. Fried calamari, frozen? Probably. Burrata, small, with tiny crostinis and sub par prosciutto. Corn brûlée, slop. Asparagus raw, don't dare say al dente. Potatoes were ok. Steaks were grocery store quality and put on hot plates go give the illusion of being fresh. Drinks were good, except the Irish coffees, which were a Jameson in a rocks glass with a cold cup of coffee. One thing I'll say is the view is spectacular. We chose Fleming's to celebrate my baby's FIRST birthday -- a once-in-a-lifetime milestone with family and friends. What should have been a perfect day ended in shock, disgust, and humiliation. As we were leaving, an employee decided it would be entertaining to say "Ni Hao" to me as I walked by. Let me be clear: I am not Chinese. I am Korean. And racist "jokes" like this are never funny, no matter the intention. In one second, this individual managed to taint an entire day of joy with ignorance and disrespect. When we brought it up, the staff's response? "Well, he didn't mean it negatively." That dismissive excuse was somehow worse -- a blatant refusal to acknowledge harm and an attempt to brush off a racist act as harmless banter. This is Fleming's. A supposedly "fine dining" establishment that charges premium prices but can't even ensure its employees understand the basics of cultural sensitivity or respect. Instead of training their staff to handle guests with dignity, they enable behavior that alienates and humiliates paying customers. If you're considering Fleming's for a family celebration, ask yourself: do you want your special occasion overshadowed by racism? Because that's what happened to us. To Fleming's leadership: wrote you an email giving your team an opportunity to take accountability, but never heard back! racism is never a joke. It is never "just a comment." It is never excusable. Until you take accountability, apologize sincerely, and make it right, this review will stand as a reminder of the harm your establishment allowed. My family will never return. My husband and I dined at Fleming's today in celebration of his birthday, and we were highly satisfied with the exceptional service provided by Chris, the manager, and Janet, our server. Thanksgiving dinner was delicious. I opted for the pre-fixe menu with turkey, of course. The night started off with our outstanding server, Wayne. I have never laughed so much while dining. He was the highlight of the evening. A super sweet guy with loads of personality just made our night. We had the miso glazed sea bass, herb roasted turkey with all the trimmings and everything had great temperature and flavor. The dining room tables were spaced perfectly. For over 20 minutes, no one acknowledged us--no water, no drinks, no food order, not even a simple greeting. It was as if we didn't exist. When we finally gave up and left, I mentioned the situation to the employee at the coat check. The response? A dismissive "sorry." That single word perfectly summed up the level of service at this place--indifferent, careless, and unprofessional. We took our money to River Palm and had an excellent meal, which only emphasized how unacceptable this experience was. Fleming's likes to pretend it's a high-end steakhouse, but it isn't. At best, it's a tier-2 operation with embarrassingly poor customer service. We will never return, and I wouldn't recommend it to anyone expecting competent service. read more

From not offering to chop our wedge salad, (I just knew they would from previous visits) to not having the bottle of wine in stock that I would have ordered, to not even asking if we would like coffee with our dessert until they took our desert plates away, (after I brought it up). It was a birthday celebration, she dropped off the desert, lit the candle with the plate in front of my guest and walked away. It left me feeling I should take at least one star off of what has been in the past, 5 star service. Will I return?, probably, but it will be a while.
