The food was delicious: a very almond croissant, paired with wonderful green tea. The service quick and friendly, and the space cozy.

The place was pretty busy. We order off the machine to the side to avoid the line. We got the Sticky Sticky Bun and got it warm. It took like 5 minutes. It was super sticky and sweet. The bun was soft and tasty. Definitely worth the $4 something for it. Service was fast and friendly read more

Flour's newest location in the up and coming Boston Seaport has all the trappings of the older sister joints across the city, with the added benefit of the "hidden" locale nestled inside of the Boston Design Center. While this cafe hasn't quite hit the stride of the lightning fast and friendly service of my favorite Back Bay Flour, the food is consistent and the cafe itself is spacious and rarely crowded, even during lunch hour. While you might think you'll have to battle scads of hipsters to get your fill of their great menu, due to the number of permanent "food boxes" that line the Design Center's perimeter, you actually don't have to wait all that long! The menu features the usual Flour suspects, with a few seasonal twists thrown in for good measure. I visited on the first day that they debuted their Fall 2019 menu, and even though I didn't indulge, it sure looked yummy! The Smoked Salmon Quinoa Salad looked particularly winsome. Since it was 9 AM, I settled for a simple iced Mint Tea (a bit toothpaste-y for my taste, but the Herbal tea was pre-sweetened.. weird), and a fruit cup, which was tasty but pricy. Oh well, it did the trick to satiate the early morning hunger pangs. Next time, I'll probably get something more substantial and worth the money, like a house made breakfast sandwich or even a Baked French Toast if I'm in a holiday mood. If given the choice, I totally prefer the Back Bay or Central Square Flour to the Seaport outpost, but this'll do in a pinch. It's a nice oasis to stop at between meetings when you're visiting the Design Center, and I'm sure I'll be back soon! read more

We have an standing monthly order with this location (cookies, brownies/bars and the seasonal cupcakes), with me sending the order over ahead of the desired delivery date. This month, I TOTALLY forgot and only realized it the morning-of. That would have meant some VERY unhappy co-workers. Sophie and the crew at Flour came through with flying colors - same delicious treats, same delivery time. I cannot say enough about them... staff is always super-friendly and responsive and nothing lasts long with our group, believe me.. Do yourself a favor and give them a try, if you haven't already! read more

I see you, Flour - making sure there is no feedback option on the website or the app (no phone number, no email, no way of contacting them post-dining) so I guess we have to resort to Yelp. Either way, I was fond of the avocado toast with poached egg until today. I ordered ahead, my order was fetched, and, MY MISTAKE, did not think to check prior to leaving with it but fast forward 10 minutes later, back at my office, and I open it up to find the most raw egg I've ever been served, on top of my toast. I love a good soft-poached egg but this was legit RUNNING CLEAR, over 2/3 of the egg surface area. I got so grossed out that I tried desperately to directly contact the restaurant while re-cooking the food itself in the office air-fryer. Suffice to say, $13 + tip later, I was basically fixing my own breakfast. Moral of the story is: DOUBLE CHECK YOUR FOOD, even if you're in a hurry and go to the extent of pre-ordering to conserve time. read more

I $8+ for a breakfast sandwich a little much? Yes. Is it worth it? Also yes. It's so delightful to have flour here on our end of the Seaport. The coffee, for me, is disappointing and it's sad they drive Triangle away but I get it. They do however have mulled apple cider and I can tell you it's everything if you get a little steamed oat milk added. They bring just a bit of upscale variety to our everyday options. Breakfasts and lunches are almost all delicious along with some fab desserts. Not the favorite for me but definitely a strong contender in the mix. read more

Thankful to see my favorite Boston bakery this far out in Seaport! Unlike some other Flour locations sprinkled across the city, this one is pretty spacious and has a pleasantly underwhelming lunch rush hour. Whether you're swinging by for a coffee or meal, you can't go wrong. All the pastries are too die for (aka justifiably more expensive than Dunkin'), the sandwiches are inventive with the most irresistibly SOFT focaccia bread, and the salads are freshly prepared and substantial. read more

Over it. I work in the area so this is one of the only places within a mile radius to grab food. It's safe to say I grab coffee, lunch or dinner for my family at least a couple times a week. My sister used to live in South Boston and that's where I first was introduced to Flour and thought it was great. I'll preface everything by saying that this place is extremely expensive so my expectations are definitely high but most of this stuff is inexcusable for a restaurant. 1) 4 of my co-workers have found SOUP LIDS in their salads. 4 OF THEM... SOUP LIDS. NOPE. Even after it was brought to their attention, only one person was offered their money back. 2) 2 of my co-workers have found plastic wrapping still on the turkey of their sandwiches. They're busy, but so are most restaurants during peak hours. 3) The salads were made exponentially smaller and put in smaller containers but the price never changed. Not sure what that was all about but even if that's the size their other stores use, it looks like consumers pay more for less. 4) If you plan on spending a lot, to get food for your family for example, they make sure you also pay for a brown paper bag to put it in. If you don't pay, they have no issue taking your money and making no effort to give you one and will just watch you walk out trying to hold everything. There are a few other things with the app that aren't worth mentioning but generally, I'm on board with paying more for good food, I'm just so irritated with what happens here and how they deal with it. read more

The pastries here are delicious. I ordered a sticky bun which was airy and not too sweet. They have a good selection of breakfast, lunch, and coffee items that looked amazing too. Will definitely be back! Parking is difficult unless you want to park in a ramp. read more

Absolutely love this Flour location! I come here to work when I'm not in the office and love the staff here - very friendly, even when it's busy. This has been such a great addition to the Innovation and Design Building. The ambience is similar to other Flour locations but a bit newer/fancier, plus MORE ROOM! Yes, it can get crowded at lunchtime, but the space is great and well laid-out, so it doesn't get jam-packed like some of the other locations. I don't have to say much about the food - everyone knows it's awesome, par for the course from Joanne Chang (I keep hoping to see her here one day!). Their sandwiches are some of the best in Boston, although I'm disappointed that they discontinued one of my favorites, the curry chicken salad. There's plenty of other delectable options on the menu to keep me coming back for more. Lots of seating is available - high top and low tables, counter, and outdoor tables. It can get a little noisy - high ceilings create an echo chamber m, so bring headphones if you need to really concentrate and get work done. The only complaints that I have is that the bathrooms are not the cleanest (but they are part of the IDB, not actually in Flour) and I wish they had longer hours on the weekends. Those are minor nits - seriously this is one of the best spots for breakfast, lunch, and getting work done (with coffee and sweets to keep you going) in Boston. read more

If there were more options for a bakery cafe on this area, I wouldn't come here honestly. There is rarely a time when there isn't an issue--I order in advance it's not ready, I have to pay for a bag, I don't get a bag, and this time, I order chips only to show up and be told they're out which is fine and I just want a refund. In order to obtain a refund, they have to refund the ENTIRE order and ring it up again?! In the scheme of things, these are all small issues. But they've been open for a while now and yet it seems like they cannot get it together. Disappointing. read more

I was eating out during a Pac East lunch break and while this place was not the closest, it was within a quick 10 minute walk. What I really enjoyed was how warm temperature the room was and how fresh the food was. On the turkey sandwich there was sliced apples and a wonderful sauce along with a pack of clean cut turkey to pull the sandwich together on a seeded bread. I especially enjoyed how professional the service was in terms of repeating your order back to you after you requested food and how loud they yelled to get your attention after your food was ready. I am so impressed with this franchise's customer service. I have always been a fan of flour but today I felt inclined to share my story and review both this location and the other seaport Flour. I am going to a Friendsgiving tonight with 3 GF people (myself included) and I ordered a gf pumpkin pie a week or so ago. Yesterday, I last minute asked the catering manager (named Siri) whether I could switch the location for pickup which she was able to do! Initially I planned to pick up at this location and switched to the fansworth location. Unfortunately today when my friend went to pick up the order, it was not found. I'm assuming it was probably related to me last minute switching the locations which was understandably confusing (on my end). My friend said the staff was so nice to her, gave her a free coffee while she waited. They weren't able to figure it out immediately so they gave her a free GF cake and refunded the pie. I called Siri's number and spoke to her colleague on the phone. I wish I caught her name because she was so lovely. She knew that they had given us a free GF cake but she was determined to also find the pie AND deliver it to me! Tbd if they are able to find it but regardless, their customer service is unparalleled. From their baked goods to salads to sandwiches, everything here is delicious. It is nice to know that their staff is just as superb as their food is!!! read more
