Very nice cute eatery with indoor and outdoor seating. Very friendly staff and a pretty selective menu. All healthy eating! Food was served timely and with a good temperature. Very clean establishment. Noise level was low. The food was actually really tasty and you get nice size portions. Definitely worth visiting when in the domain.

Are you a creature of habit? Do you check your physical mail box every day? Do you read all email messages as soon as fly into your inbox? Do you sleep on the same side of the bed every night? Do you drive to familiar points of interest the same way each time? Do you wear 20% of your clothing 80% of the time? Do you eat mostly the same foods? Well, I am a creature of habit especially when it comes to food. There are certain restaurants I get the same each time. Flower Child is one of those restaurants. Every time I dine at Flower Child I get the Mother Earth Bowl (Ancient grains, sweet potato, Portobello mushroom with grilled onions, avocado, cucumber, broccoli pesto. leafy greens, hemp seeds and red pepper miso vinaigrette) especially when I am having a plant-based food day. I love the combination of textures and flavors...an explosion of goodness in your mouth. Today, I was living on the jagged edge of life and also ordered the kale salad (say it isn't so!). Both menu items were excellent. My cashier rang me up lightning fast! Another server came over to me to see if I needed anything. I said I could use some more avocado. She brought over more avocado pretty quickly without charging me an additional fee. This was much appreciated. I also order a tea. Flower Child serves Passion Fruit black tea, Rose Petal lemonade and Mango Sencha green tea. My first selection of tea was the black tea. The second cup of tea was a combination of the green tea and the lemonade. All were excellent. It was quite busy at Flower Child a the time. Virtually every table inside was completely filled.

I went to Flower Child for lunch today at the Domaine . As usual, it was fabulous. The people who work there are also so kind. The food is so scrumptious and tasty and healthy. They have flavored teas that have no sugar in them and they are so so good. With this restaurant, you placed your order at the front and you sit down with a number and then they serve your food. When you place your order, the people you give your order to know the answers to what's in the food. That is so helpful. I got a chicken breast with vegetables cooked in olive oil and fresh fruit and hummus with fresh vegetables. It was so good. The prices are a little high, the chicken breast with vegetables and fruit was $15.95 and the serving size was small. I'm a small person so it was perfect for me but definitely not enough for a man. My husband got shrimp and two servings of fruit. Again tasty but small portions and it was $16.95. I feel that the hummus was adequate in size and it was really good. But they charge you $3.25 extra if you get it with vegetables instead of hummus, so the hummus plate was $10. The lunch for two people was just under $60 so that's a little bit expensive for lunch. The restaurant was beautiful and clean and the mood was so upbeat and positive. I highly recommend this restaurant and I can't wait to be back!

Food is a bit expensive but it's tasty. I had the beef, potatoes, and macaroni. We came late on the evening and it was pretty empty. I would eat here again. 8/10 Grain Bowls

First time visiting Flower Child, and I came in excited to try something new from their plant-based menu. My wife ordered one dish while I chose a few different items, including the roasted Brussels sprouts, cauliflower risotto, and the kung pao cauliflower with tofu protein. Everything arrived beautifully presented and full of color, which already set a great first impression. The restaurant itself has a cozy, welcoming vibe with a warm interior that makes you want to slow down and enjoy your meal. Flavor-wise, the food was solid and satisfying, and we genuinely enjoyed having so many vegetable-forward options for lunch. The cauliflower dishes stood out with good texture and seasoning, and nothing felt overly heavy. Prices were reasonable for the quality and ingredients, though the portion sizes were on the smaller side. Overall, it was a pleasant experience and a nice spot for a light, plant-based meal in a relaxed setting for casual daytime dining.

Service was fine we can about 20 minutes after it opened and there didn't seem to be many people however they were already out of chicken. I ordered the avocado Cesar which was absolutely fanatic. The avocado didn't have a single brown spot on it you could tell it was very fresh. This location is also fairly nice although I will say it does get fairly loud at times.

It's been a minute since I've dined to Flower Child and this visit was better than my last. I gravitated to my usual pick your protein and 2 sides option. I ordered the steak with the kung pow cauliflower and chilled sesame noodles. The steak was cooked perfectly. The sesame noodles was really refreshing for this summer weather and the cauliflower had nice Asian flavors with a kick of heat from the jalapeños. I do appreciate how flower child rotates some of their sides and some that remain staples on their menu. But I wish they would add more options for their staple side dishes!

Always a nice place to get some pretty healthy food. I've ordered several different options from the menu and have never been disappointed. The flavors are incredible and quite filling although it seems like you are eating a lot. This time I ordered the Peruvian Braised Beef. The meat was tender and basically fell apart on your fork. The rice and veggies mixed in the serving added to a great tasting lunch/dinner. The service is nice starting with the cashiers, followed by the quick preparation, on to the server arriving at your table with your order. Flower Child has both indoor and outdoor seating. The furniture is comfortable. Flower Child is clean and laid out well. Although the parking on the street is limited the Blue Garage across the street has plenty of free parking!

Flower Child is the perfect spot to grab a healthy lunch or dinner while at the Domain! The ingredients are all really fresh and you can customize the dishes with different proteins. FAST FACTS: * Parking - Blue garage right across the street or green garage around the corner * Order at the counter and take your number to your seat * Online ordering - available online with a walk in pick up section at the restaurant * Delivery - available through DoorDash SERVICE - I arrived around 1:00 pm on a Saturday and was able to basically walk right up and order. Food was brought to the table about 10 minutes after ordering. The workers were all very pleasant! PRICING - The total was $36.48 after tax ($2.78) but before tip for a Mother Earth bowl with grilled chicken ($17.75) and a Thai chicken & shrimp meatballs ($15.95). For the portion size and quality of ingredients, I feel like the pricing is reasonable (especially at a "health" focused restaurant). MOTHER EARTH BOWL (8/10) - I loved this! All the ingredients were fresh and the flavors worked really well together. The grilled chicken was cooked perfectly and was juicy. The broccoli pesto and red pepper miso vinaigrette add just the right amount of flavor and moisture to coat all the vegetables. I'd order this again! THAI CHICKEN & SHRIMP MEATBALLS (8/10) - You get 4 good size meatballs smothered in the masala sauce over plain jasmine rice. The rice is on the softer side and the meatballs have a great texture and flavor, although you don't get a lot of the shrimp flavor. The fennel, cucumber, herb and lemon yogurt on the side is super fretting! I'd order this again. This was my first time ever trying Flower Child and I'll definitely be back! I love how you can customize the dishes with different proteins and they offer different types of cuisines including Mediterranean, Mexican, Thai, and more. I'd recommend Flower Child to anyone who wants a healthy fast casual option for lunch or dinner around the Domain.

    Flying Avocado

Decided to take advantage of the beautiful weather this weekend and head over to the Domain. Since it was so nice out, everyplace was packed. The line was wrapped outside over to Culinary but it moved quickly. Ordered the flying avocado wrap and a NA beer. They have a great selection of drinks, both alcoholic and non so that's always a plus. The food came out within 5-10 minutes despite them being packed. Wrap was packed full of ingredients, super fresh and delicious. The avocado hummus makes this wrap so tasty. Also, love that the turkey is chopped up versus giant slices so each bite gives you a more balanced overall taste. Snagged a seat outside to people watch and soak in the sunshine. Flower child is always a win in my book.

    Brian C.

Tasted alright. My favorite thing was the sweet potato fries which seemed baked rather than fried. I expected more food for $20, but I guess it's the domain and healthy food. Steak was pretty bland and the broccoli was too sour for my taste. I still finished the food since it was fine, just not outstanding. The vibe of the restaurant is casual but a bit upscale, and there were lots of rich people around.

I love Flower Child. The Domain location is preferred because there's available parking and I've yet to have any issues at this location within the 5+ years I've been coming in. I've never had any issues finding a table to sit at, regardless of how busy they are. I appreciate the friendliness of their staff and their speed of service (for dine in and takeout). My go-to's are the Turkey Avocado Club, Mother Earth Bowl (add chicken) and the Crushed Avocado Toast. Happy to consider myself a "regular".

Glow Bowl but not a mushroom in sight
    Dee G.

I have had many a good meal here, eating here about once a week for a long time now. What drives me nuts is when I get the bowls, and because they are made in "batch," I don't get all the ingredients described in the menu. Specifically the Glow Bowl, I have gotten it 3x now where I received only 2 thin slices of mushroom at most. Making it in batch is not an excuse to leave out ingredients - maybe take mushrooms out of the description. I had asked the manager about this and if I could have mushrooms added and he said no but that he could get me more sunflower dressing ??? Please give what people pay for

From the moment we sat down, the service set a phenomenal tone for the meal. Our server, Avery, genuinely took the time to ask what we were interested in, thoughtfully guiding us through the menu with recommendations that were, frankly, unbelievable. Every single suggestion was spot-on. As for the food, every dish that arrived at the table was a masterpiece: The Brunch Plate: A beautifully classic, elevated breakfast. The sunny-side-up eggs were cooked to absolute perfection, seasoned with a light touch of pepper and spice. Paired with perfectly golden, crispy hash browns, savory sausage, thick-cut toast, and a rich fruit compote, it was a flawless, hearty start to the day. The Beet & Citrus Salad: A vibrant, refreshing standout. The earthy depth of roasted red and golden beets paired wonderfully with bright, juicy citrus segments, creamy crumbled cheese, and fresh greens. It was beautifully balanced, incredibly fresh, and a perfect contrast of textures. The Pesto Pasta: Absolutely spectacular. The pasta shape held onto the rich, flavorful pesto sauce perfectly, which was tossed with fresh spinach, sun-dried tomatoes, and tender chicken, all finished with a generous dusting of parmesan. It was savory, comforting, and packed with bright, fresh flavor. Between the flawless, attentive service and the phenomenal quality of the kitchen, they made this Father's Day incredibly memorable. We will absolutely be back!

Vida Verde Kitchen -- A Hidden Gem That's Worth Finding…read more Austin is overflowing with trendy restaurants where the food is decent, the lighting is aggressive, and the wait time requires a light snack and a personality shift. I tend to avoid those places. Vida Verde Kitchen, thankfully, is not that. Tucked into a great area but slightly hidden (the kind of spot you feel proud to "discover"), Vida Verde feels like a restaurant that exists for people who actually want to eat, not just post. The menu is a thoughtful fusion of Tex-Mex, fresh flavors, and Americana--familiar enough to be comforting, but creative enough to keep things interesting. Yes, it's a bit overpriced, but the food earns its confidence. The guacamole is an absolute must, and anything leaning Tex-Mex is consistently solid. I can vouch. The wait staff deserves real credit here--knowledgeable, attentive, and genuinely invested in the food and experience, which goes a long way these days. The atmosphere hits that Austin sweet spot: industrial touches softened by lush green foliage. It's stylish without trying too hard, which is rare and appreciated. If I had one note? This place needs a happy hour and a few more solid specials. Do that, and Vida Verde becomes dangerous--in the best way. Once we were given a chance to order, I grabbed their Quesabirria tacos with rice and beans. The tacos were great. Super crispy and the meat was flavorful. The consomé was excellent to dip the tacos in. The beans were pretty good and the rice was decent Mexican rice, though not exceptional.
