Rarely do I write reviews on the first trip; a good review takes a least 2 trips to a restaurant however I was so impressed with the food I couldn't help myself. My coworkers/friends recommended we try this place based the all of us trying to eat healthier. To beat the lunch crowd we arrived just after 11am (very early lunch) and the place was nearly empty. Great. I decided to BYO bowl with Teriyaki Shrimp, Brussels, Sweet Potatoes and a side of broccoli. This cost me just over $20. After eating it, I understand why it cost $20 bucks for lunch and I'd gladly pay it again. It was delicious! The Brussels sprouts and sweet potatoes with their spicy kick, were the stars of the show. The Brussels had a great char - they had the perfect consistently in each bite(not too hard; not soft and overcooked). If you hate brussels - this place will change your mind because they are cooked right. The crowd started at about 11:30am - so I definitely recommend coming early or after the lunch crowd unless you don't mind the wait. I plan on visiting again next week. It has a great atmosphere, a lot of natural light. Comfortable seats, tables for larger groups of around 6. Great lunch spot. I'm glad I tried it. read more

The first time I went, I ordered a "Flying Avacodo" which is a wrap with smoked turkey to go. When I got back to my office I found that I was given "The Rebel" which was steak. Have wanted to try this place for ages. Went over the weekend. Love the decor and the vibe. I ordered the Glow Bowl- I expected the sweet potato noodles to be cooked, and they seemed kind of raw and crunchy to me. Not what I was expecting. I had asked the person behind the counter if the dish was hot or cold and she said 'hot'- you'd think in that case the noodles would be cooked. Thought I'd mention it in case anyone else wants to order. The sauce seemed pretty good as well as the veggies that came in the bowl. The soup was good and the muffin was good too. This place is fantastic. Healthy, high quality food at very reasonable prices. Lots of vegetarian and gluten free options as well. We decided to stop by for lunch and let me tell you that was the best decision ever! We ordered the hummus and asked to sub veggies for the pita and were pleasantly surprised with the variety of vegetables provided, not the average carrots, celery, and broccoli. We then ordered the forbidden rice and the yellow curry. We described the forbidden rice as "fried rice on crack" it was soooo good. The yellow curry was really good too. They took a little bit longer than expected to make my food and 3 of their employees individually came up to apologize for it taking longer than expected for the shrimp to get cooked. I had no problem with waiting a few extra minutes, but the attention to their customers is what I found refreshing. They also included a dessert with my dinner for the inconvenience. The female in the front was just rude & very bad attitude as if she didn't want to be there . After waiting for my food to be ready at 1:25pm it wasn't ready til about 1:30-1:35pm . Asked for a sample of the cranberry honey ginger lemonade, she decided to help the people that walked in instead of getting my sample which caused me to wait even longer , finally she gives my sample drink with a side of attitude of course . Overall has a good atmosphere and USED TO BE my favorite place in Charlotte when they opened. It seems like they have dropped the ball completely since covid started. On my past 4 orders (all take out) they've made mistakes: raw chicken, wrong protein, gave my order to another customer, and did not include salad dressing with meal. I keep giving them more chances in hopes it was just a fluke, knowing people make mistakes but now it has proven to be a pattern. They used to have a worker to review all take out orders before giving to the customer but it is obvious that that is no longer in practice. I hope they pull it back together because it is too pricey to have these mistakes happen every time and the food (when done correctly) is delicious. read more

Tahini hummus paired with India-spiced cauliflower were tasty and interesting enough to inspire more visits to try all of the menu. Laid back vibe, except for the counter staff, who work the line efficiently. Format has you enter, place your order at the kitchen counter, pay and tip, and then proceed to an open table. Terrible. I'm being nice by giving them 2 stars. It's a want to be LA spot which will never happen. The menu is healthy but they don't listen to any allergy requests. You tell them you can't have something on there. They put it on anyways. The cashier was also very rude and seemed as if he hated his life. I asked for flat water. He gave me sparkling. I got the turkey wrap it came with bread and a tomato and lettuce and a sprinkle of turkey. I would of been more satisfied going to a gas station and getting a sandwich. read more
