The cooks are extremely accommodating to my extremely specific needs. You can add a salad or a bowl and add a protein! The staff is always so friendly and happy. Allan almost always takes my order and is one of the nicest people I've ever met in my life. Ashley, one of the managers, is always upbeat and even spotted working in the kitchen when necessary. The restaurant itself is very bright and happy, just as the name flower child implies. It's decorated very simplistically however with a comfortably home-y feel. There is kombucha on tap, which is delicious and a ton of dessert options to choose from ranging from huge chocolate chunk cookies to lemon cupcakes. The mix and match option of the menu is my favorite. I get to try a little bit of everything and it's always good all the time. The sweet potatoes are rich and savory, mixed with the gluten free mac and cheese, which is on the lighter side with a mozzarella/American cheese blend. The Brussels sprouts are really good. I only gave this place four stars because it's pretty pricey. However, the food is so good. I've been to the Las Vegas location and was pleasantly surprised that there was one right next to the space I was painting a mural at. I ordered the spicy coconut curry with tofu and a glass of wine. After leaving a standard tip, I walked out spending almost $40 on what was supposed to be a simple solo lunch. We went here after a recommendation from our AirBnB host. He was spot on! The facility is very cute with plenty of seating both indoor and out. It is more of a fast food type setup where you order first then sit down. The cashiers were very friendly and patience as I busted my usual Meg Ryan order (...and could you put dressing on the side?) Even though she seemed to be getting slightly annoyed, I could understand as I was holding up a line, but hey I'm paying for it. Overall, they were polite and hospitable. The food was amazing. All four of us thoroughly enjoyed our meals. Everything tasted fresh and well-balanced in terms of flavor. One of my eating partners thought The Rebel wrap a bit too salty. I wasn't impressed, pretty meh if you ask me. Came here for lunch and had the bird is the word wrap. The reason I got this was after perusing the menu I settled on this because it seemed like the only option that might be a decent amount of food so I wouldn't be hungry in like 5 minutes after I'm done. Some other stuff looked decent but honestly it all looked small and like negative food. The outdoor patio is a nice plus, that part worked for me, and the lemonades and ice tea dispensers I thought were great, make your own Arnold Palmer style thing which I'm all for. My wrap though was sub par, all I tasted was tamari which is ok, but not really my thing. No idea there was chicken or cheese in there, just really tasted tamari and the charred broccoli. My issue is it just didn't taste great, I know you can make healthy food taste good but this just doesn't. I could see people who are just focused on being healthy while eating out coming here, but that's about it, however I don't think healthy and tasty are mutually exclusive but they are here. read more

The meal was very satisfying and healthy - I was able to mix and match chicken, sautéed spinach and mashed potatoes, all things I love. And the food arrived timely and our orders were correct. Try their lemonade - it is fresh and delicious as well. The vibe is pretty bohemian/hipster with the yoga mat parking and VW parked outside. Overall, this is an excellent choice for the health conscious person looking for a quality breakfast/brunch either solo or with friends. As soon as you walk in you smell all the good eats cookin' in the kitchen! I wasn't sure what to order, so when I walked up to the cashier I asked her what I should order. She recommended doing a mix and match, but then I ended up ordering a plate with two of the sides from the mix and match. Delish! I ordered the salmon plate with cauliflower and sweet potatoes. The salmon was seasoned and cook well, but I prefer my salmon to be undercooked. It was a thin piece, which would have been difficult to do. The cauliflower was good too! Lots of great flavor. The winner on the plate was the sweet potato side...it was made like a poke with all the onions and dressing, but instead of the raw tuna cubes it was cubes of sweet potatoes! Oh so good! Best food ever! My husband recently became Vegan and I follow his diet once in a while and that's because I hate Tofu. He tried the Vegan Hash at this place and it was amazing. I liked it so much that I was debating to get myself a plate. The tofu was made like scramble egg with lots of curry spices, portobello mushroom and fried onion. So we decided to go here after the kids finished tutoring one night. We heard a lot about it. We love healthy food. So.....Parking stinks. Valet limited days. We all know Flower Hill parking stinks. Park in garage. Move on. Walked in. Line with 5 or so in front. Couldn't really tell where it started. Lots of sitting to the right as well as down the stairs. Very young girls working behind the register. Did not make good eye contact to let us know that they were ready to have us order. Line started building up behind us. Menu very confusing. Above us. Hard to read. Hard to understand. Not sure why. Maybe all this vegan-ology sounded foreign to me. We finally decide on an order. Kids got the bowl, one with salmon, one with steak. $17 each!!!!!!!!!!!!! Fu&$ What???? Mom and I got the two side plates, one with "smashed potatoes" which were basically buttery soggy mashed potatoes, eggplant, Brussels sprouts, avocado. $7 for 2 sides Brussels sprouts were good. Avocado was simply half of an avocado sliced with some salt on it. I plant was pretty good. Smashed potatoes tasted like boxed mashed potatoes. It said there were herbs in it, it basically had just butter on it. All in all the total was $65! Couldn't believe it. We ordered one glass of wine (decent Italian) and 2 kids, $1.50 each. I'm very shocked about the price. I feel that a counter ordering system should not be that expensive. The food was good, but something I could've made it home for a fraction of the cost. Not sure I would go out of my way to buy this type of food. I would've probably rather gone to the very pretentious restaurant down the street and had a much better time and experience. The portions were extremely small. We could've gotten a gourmet meal for less than the price that we paid. I just don't understand how they can get away with the pricing of these bowls. The bowl itself was $11, adding protein was an extra seven or six dollars. Pretty ridiculous. The protein was delicious however, but just not worth it. Going to whole foods next year would've been cheaper. They forgot to put salsa on both the bowls. I had ordered actually hummus as a third side and they never charged me for it nor ordered it. They didn't tell me how to get the glass of wine so I was sitting down on the table waiting for them to deliver it when it was waiting up at the register the whole time. Don't be afraid to come here if you're a meat lover, healthy food still tastes great and they do have meat here. I brought my notoriously picky son and he was able to eat breakfast by customizing his meal a bit, which they were more than happy to do. While it's true you won't find chicken nuggets and fries here, you will find something much healthier and tastier. The menu is pretty large and they have a good selection of proteins, including meat free. They also use an impressive variety of vegetables in the all the dishes. I ordered a protein scramble and it was packed with flavorful veggies like organic potatoes, charred onions, garnet yams and arugula. It also had maple dijon, gouda, and smoked turkey. This was a very large portion, I was only able to eat half, I packed the rest up to take home. The yams and maple dijon flavored the scramble so well that it didn't need anything when it came to the table. I got a side of fresh seasonal fruit with my scramble and this was good as well. They also offer organic coffee here with almond milk or traditional cows milk. I ordered a latte and it was pretty good. They sell chai and mate lattes as well. They sell fresh squeezed orange and grapefruit juices along with a daily juice. They make a couple organic iced teas and a decaf iced tea along with two seasonal versions of their popular lemonades. My son tried both of these and liked them so much he ended up mixing them into one drink. They have kombucha on tap and beer and wine. I'll definitely come back to try the lunch menu. The desserts looked pretty good, they have a good variety of GF items. My son got a GF cookie and enjoyed it. The service was great. Everything seemed to flow well. You order at the counter and pay and put your number on the table, the food comes out fairly quick. They were full when we came and it only took a few minutes for our food. Everyone we encountered was very friendly, especially Matt! They have a wash basin by the drink station so you can save a trip to the restroom if you just need to wash your hands before eating or grabbing silverware. The setup of the restaurant itself is very user friendly, especially if you're eating on the main floor. There is a downstairs level, we didn't go down there though, and they have patio seating as well. Parking is in a shared lot in the Flower Hill Mall. I strolled upon the place after fasting for blood work at Sharp. Parking could be a challenge here, luckily I was able to snag a spot. Unfortunately, everyone was in such a rush that I had a fair amount of trouble trying to back out of my spot. Anyhow, the restaurant has a nice ambiance. Plenty of indoor seating (extra seating downstairs) as well as outdoor seating. You basically pick your basic item (salad, bowl, or wrap), and pick your protein. The downside is the price. My bowl was $10.50+ $4 for added tofu, then $5 for the chocolate pudding, plus my lemonade, all came to nearly $25 without tip. I tried the Thai cashew quinoa bowl with tofu and it was good and vegan-friendly. You can easily make it not vegan and choose a meat; however, I appreciated the explicit labeling of vegan vs vegetarian. The jalapeños I got were pretty spicy! The lemonade was tasty and not artificial tasting nor was it too sweet. And I loved how they had CRUSHED ice... so refreshing! The chocolate pudding was vegan and Gluten free but so tasty that I wanted more!!! It was a perfect blend of flavors. Anyhow, staff was friendly and due to the rain, staff was helping customers find seating. I really enjoyed this place and look forward to coming back. Everything was fresh and flavorful. This restaurant is a good option for those seeking social distancing and outside dining during the pandemic. It consists of two outdoor patios and indoor dining with tables spaced far apart. Ordering at the counter is easy and the food was delivered in a timely manner. We went on a Tuesday at 1 pm and had no trouble finding a table. The service and staff was excellent. All of the three dishes we ordered were tasty and the portions were good. There are several different dining area to eat at from a patio, bar counter or main dining room. The concept is that you order and pay at the counter then grab a number and sit at your table and wait for your food. There are many delicious foods and drink choices to choose from. They have delicious desserts too. They have healthy kids options too. Today I went with Madras curry bowl with steak that was very flavorful and the Rebel wrap both dishes were very tasty and delicious. I'm not a vegetarian but came here by reservation only before their grand opening. We had a 5 pm reservation but arrived here around 4:30. As we walked in, we were greeted hello. We ate for FREE but we did tip them. The lady was nice and assisted me in taking my order. I ordered a a chicken wrap with a salad which is called the bird is the word. Very tasty. To drink I had lemonade. Very tart. The other dish was called Mother Earth. It consisted of ancient grains, sweet potato, Portobello mushroom, avocado, cucumber, broccoli pesto, leafy greens, red pepper miso vinaigrette and hemp seed. All was flavorful and delicious. For dessert I had the pumpkin spice muffin and the brownie. The pumpkin spice muffin was delicious and moist. It had a light sugar glaze on top of the muffin. This is the 3rd restaurant I have been to in this location in 5 years. I really hope this one stays because I love it. And this neighborhood needed a place like this. They serve healthy and delicious options, including gluten-free and vegan. I had the Flying avocado wrap which includes smoked turkey, lettuce, tomato, cheese and avocado hummus. The hummus was the best part of the wrap. The wrap comes with a small side salad with just oil and salt as a dressing. I have never eaten a side salad so fast. It was so simple yet so delicious! My husband got 3 sides paired with a protein. He chose brussel sprouts, broccoli and avocado with oil and salt for his sides and he had tofu as his protein. I had a few bites of the brussel sprouts. They were amazing. So much flavor! This is a very simple place. You order at the counter, they give you a number and you find a seat. There are water stations on both levels (there are stairs and a handicapped elevator for those who need it) as well as one outside for people walking by. They bring the food pretty quickly. The decor is very cute, garden themed, with striped chars and flowery paintings on the walls. There is outdoor seating too on the very large patio in the courtyard of the shopping center. Flower child was a delicious experience. Although dishes are mostly vegetarian they do offer a beef, chicken or salmon addition to a meal of your choice. They offer a handful of agua frescas- I had the cucumber mint and it was refreshing. The area on the outside of the open mall is kid friendly as they have some play areas. Been there now a few times and all of the choices have been disappointing. A steak wrap has tiny bits of steak in just the middle of the wrap so when it's cut in half it seems larger than it is. The steak had a funny textureand the wrap was not fresh ( or maybe it was cardboard). Seems to be more manufactured food than how it's positioned. Salads are weird and overall just not very good for the high prices they charge. Small and $5-$7 to add protein. I'm a big fan of farm to table but this place smacks of a big corporation. Lastly the help is clueless. Non welcoming, not helpful and a confusing menu makes this a poor choice. read more
