Had a really good experience today! Shout out to Andrew who helped us after running into some issues with the app and gift card we had. He couldn't have handled it any better. Additionally, I redeemed my bday treat today for the strawberry muffin, and he surprised us by putting an extra one in our bag. Great customer service and looking forward to returning! What we tried - the new green coconut curry. Delicious! If you like a creamy curry, you'll enjoy their version. Only things I wish was for more veggies and maybe the option to have brown rice instead of white.

I think you can add a protein, so if you get this, I'd recommend adding tofu! Would be delicious with this plant based protein.

This healthy chain is a popular one and deeply satisfies my need for greens, raw options and healthier choices when I'm in Del Mar. Every time I have gone there it's been for a lunch date with a pal so a popular spot for meet ups and lunch meetings. It's a nice choice for someone you may be meeting for business or getting to know, as they can accommodate almost every food allergy or sensitivity you may/or may not know about your dining partner. I like that there are a lot of seating options: Upstairs, downstairs and the lovely patio down and out back. Favorite menu items include: "FORBIDDEN" RICE: black pearl, red japonica, snap pea, bok choy, broccoli, carrot, onion, toasted sesame, red chili hoisin.

...clean, convenient spot right near the racetrack. healthy menu options. i ordered the french dip wrap. 5/5 on flavor and it was satisfying, even for my big appetite. service was excellent and our dine in order came out pretty quickly. my only critique is that the wrap should be wrapped in paper. the artisan tortilla was a bit soggy from the salad placed underneath. highly recommend after a day at the races or after the fair.

Saturday, 3-25-2026: After trying FC in Las Vegas, we had to try this one in Del Mar. We stopped for a late lunch here before continuing to the San Diego Home & Garden Show at the Del Mar Fairgrounds. When we first arrived, we noticed it had the same artsy, loft vibe & decor as the one in Las Vegas. At first glance it seemed like it had a small interior but then we noticed the stairs to get to a lower level to the left of us. This led to a very spacious room! Love the decor and the layout. There's more seating outdoors, which we attempted but it had too cold of a breeze so we decided to sit indoors. We were greeted warmly by a nice young man at the counter. My hubby told him we had eaten at the FC in Las Vegas and he told us he was going to train as a manager in Las Vegas. I ordered the Chicken Yakisoba Bowl and hubby ordered the Chicken Entree with brown rice and sweet potato fries with dip. We easily found a table in the lower level as there was hardly anybody down there. But, as the time progressed it became full with young soccer players and their respective families. Apparently, the soccer games ended in the nearby fields & they all descended upon FC. Our food came out quickly. I savored my Chicken Yakisoba Bowl chock full of crispy vegetables and flavorful chicken. It was huge so I had to take leftovers to go. My hubby loved his meal, too. We look forward to returning here where they serve delicious, healthy offerings and friendly customer service.

The food was really tasty! The service good, It's a quick service spot, but everyone we did talk to was really nice. The ambience is nice. They have tables inside and outside so of the weather is nice. You can sit outside and enjoy the sun or if it's too hot.

Vegans and vegetarians rejoice as Flower Child blossoms in this busy shopping center serving a plethora of health-conscious dishes balanced in nutritional value, flavor and texture. This packed parking lot seldomly has spots near the storefronts but if you venture further out, you should be able to find some spaces sprinkled throughout the lot. There's a good bit of churn so even if it's full during peak times, you'll eventually find a spot after circling a bit. Flower Child has a pretty big footprint within the mall hosting an upper area with a more cafe feel with smaller tables and stools and a lower area with larger tables and booths. The register is on the top level where you'll place your order for takeout or dine in. If you do dine in, they'll give you a number to place at the table you end up sitting for their staff to deliver the food to you. Their menu is quite extensive ranging from wraps and salads to more traditional American entrees with a combination of meat and side dishes. For those with dietary restrictions, you're bound to find something that fits your craving. Their sides are probably the highlight given the variety and richness in flavors. I ended up getting the salmon entree which got completely overshadowed by its two sides. The salmon itself was overcooked and lacked in flavor yet was serviceable in boosting the protein content of the meal. The mac and cheese was creamy and hearty despite being gluten free, however, I'd prefer more bite to it. The cauliflower was flavorful and was super enjoyable to eat due to its tenderness and size variability between pieces. As a whole, the dish had everything you'd want but individually, they wouldn't have stood up on their own. In addition to the savory, the sweets are also something to consider. The chocolate chip cashew cookie has great texture as you bite into the chunky yet moist dessert. The crunch from the nuts and the soft, sweetness from the chocolate make this decedent snack a great capstone to your meal. We also ordered one of their sangrias to share among the table and it was quite refreshing. It wasn't too complex in flavor but it was a nice change up to the typical tap water. The staff were very friendly throughout the meal service including the one who took our order and the one who served our meal. Overall, Flower Child clearly is making a statement with its menu full of vegan, vegetarian, and gluten-free items. Their dietary inclusive environment welcomes all types of eaters to come enjoy their creations while maintaining a balance of all the food groups. The execution of their dishes are a bit lackluster and some items, even their prized sides, are hit or miss. The prices are reasonable for the variety of food you're getting but the portion size is on the smaller side. If you happen to be in the area and are looking for a good combination of healthy ingredients for a quick meal, then Flower Child might be a good option for you. Personally, I wouldn't travel far for this but if you're looking for a healthy detox while needing to eat out, it's not a bad option!

Came here from Pilates Class. Food was delicious! I love the layout of the restaurant and bright ambiance. The service was great too. Food: Mediterranean Chicken Kabob - Delicious flavor! Veggies & chicken cooked perfectly and I loved the fluffiness of the rice with quinoa. I also enjoyed how the veggies still have some crunch and they weren't mushy. Avocado Hummus with Pita & Raw Veggies - Fresh crunchy veggies, the colorful carrots were my favorite, pita was packed with healthy grains and tasty. Avocado hummus was the best part. Chocolate Chip Cashew Cookie- I love a good chocolate chip cookie. Perfectly chewy and a bit of crunch. It has just the right amount of buttery flavor and the chocolate was fantastic. The cashew and coconut were pleasant additions too. Loved it!! For healthy and tasty meals in the Flower Hill Promenade at Del Mar give this restaurant a try!

I always go to Flower child if i crave a heathy, nourishing but hearty salad or a warm bowl with veggies and protein. This fast casual restaurant offers healthy and balanced meals. The kids menu is excellent and doesn't have any fried ingredients and fairly priced. There is a beautiful and large outdoor back patio with plenty of shade. I love trying their seasonal sangrias ! its a counter order place, so service is minimal yet polite. My only suggestion for them to offer coffee and some breakfast or brunch forward choices.

Time and time again, the food here always tastes so fresh and healthy without feeling heavy! If you're a cheese lover don't miss the queso dip appetizer, it's rich, creamy, and seriously addictive. Their seasonal dishes are also worth trying! The interior at this location is spacious and beautiful, with additional seating downstairs and outdoor patios. Service was friendly and efficient. Really good! We were looking for fast take out for dinner and this was perfect. We each had the chicken entree, one with GF mac and cheese and sweet corn and quinoa, and the other with roasted broccoli and butternut squash. The GF mac and cheese was so good, and neither of us are even GF! We also split a butternut squash, brussels sprouts and pear salad, which was great, too. Solid healthy and quick option. read more

This place is incredibly aesthetically pleasing. It's very spacious with a cute set up. Love all the wall art and the whole vibe of the store. Now on to the food... Um honestly not the GREATEST. I got the flying avocado and it tasted good but not something I'll ever crave and come back for. Did I mention it was $12?! The pricing is way too high for what you get. It reminds me of Tender Greens but at least Tender Greens' portion sizes is reasonable for the price. It's a super cute place to eat at but food wise not worth it in my opinion. read more

I LOVE Flower Child and was so happy to find it on my recent trip to Del Mar. In fact, I liked the food so much that I had lunch there every day except for one. I made it my mission to try as many of their salads and sides as possible from the Skinny cobb to the Grains and greens to the Chopped vegetable and organic kale. All of the greens are fresh, bright and delicious. The dressings were flavorful and never overkill. I always added the sustainable salmon and had a side dish. Hands down my favorite was the Red Chili Glazed Sweet Potato, although the cauliflower and asparagus were good too.I also loved the crushed avocado toast which was served with a soft egg and was to-die-for. They have Kombucha on tap, which was delicious as well as yummy wraps and bowls. If I lived in the area I would eat there every day until I ran out of money. Parking is easy except during busy times when people are shopping at Whole Foods. You can eat inside or outside. You get a number and they bring your food to your table. I was visiting San Diego with family and stopped here on the way home for dinner. I've been to the Santa Monica location since that was the closest to me. So I had high hopes for this as I really enjoyed my meals before. Was sad to learn that the brussel sprouts were no longer on the menu so instead I got an entree with tofu double of the sweet potatoes. I like the way they prepare and season their tofu but once I took a bite of the sweet potatoes it was a huge disappointment. They were incredibly salty. It was hard to eat, I instantly regretted getting that as both my sides. I could have gone to the staff and let them know about it so they can fix the issue, but I felt guilty about wasting food and was scared to say anything so I just sat and forced myself to eat it. That definitely wasn't a smart idea or a good one but it happened. Despite the poor quality sweet potatoes the service was friendly and attentive and there is a lot of seating inside and outside. Unfortunately the Santa Monica location closed so I won't be visiting another flower child in the near future unless I'm traveling where there is one and after this experience I might not even want to go anyways. read more

The dog hair was flying into the food!! One employee actually pet the dog and proceed to work without washing her hands. Clearly NOT a service dog! The Brussels/Squash salad was terrible cold. Nothing like ice cold brussel sprouts! Honestly, I've never been impressed with anything that I have tried from here. I'm glad for this new addition to Flower Hill. I've eaten here once for lunch and once for dinner, and I expect that I will be a regular customer. I love their Crushed Avocado Toast -- avocado and a soft-boiled egg combo is a match made in heaven. On both occasions, I ordered the Grains & Greens salad: the first time with tofu (delish) and the second time with salmon (super delish). I had asked for the temperature of the salmon to be kept at medium rare, and they got it right. Hubby ordered The Rebel wrap, which was pretty good, but it wasn't spectacular. He said he would try something else next time he goes. Why the four-star rating? I get it that the ingredients are high quality, but at $25 for a work week lunch with only water to drink...that's a bit steep, even for a Del Martian. read more

Flower Child did not disappoint us!!! We attended their soft opening this evening. Every bite was scrumptious. We throughly enjoyed the Winter Sunshine Salad topped with steak cooked to perfection. The Madras Curry made me smile real big (: the sauce could not have been better. Their Mix n Match has 14 selections and is so reasonably priced. Flower child is one of those cool healthy joints that 1. Don't make you feel like you're missing substance and 2. Actually taste good! I like their wraps - Bird is the Word is a unique spin on a chicken wrap, with just the right amount of veggies and sauce. I recommend giving their avocado hummus a try - it's life changing. Overall I've done take-out and dine in and have been impressed by service and timeliness. They have a huge interior with natural lighting, cute tables/seats, and luxurious bathrooms. read more

Flower Child is AMAZING, and 100% worth a visit. They have absolutely incredible food and the variety is so excellent. As far as finding a healthy, filling and tasty option for eating out we have yet to find a better place. We have tried many options on their menu and they have always been delicious. The location is nice in Del Mar although parking can be tough, but the inside itself has plenty of seating and even provides options for outdoor seating. I can't recommend this place enough for a great bite or a nice dinner out! Absolutely must visit! read more

If you have allergies, be careful! They don't follow directions. I really like the vegan poke bowl but it has sesame seeds in it and I'm allergic (mildly, thank goodness). I always ask for no sesame seeds but they somehow still find their way into my dish. read more

This place is clean and fun. You are immediately greeted by young happy fun employees. Their smiles are genuine and they seem happy to be at work. Diana greeted me with a smile and was attentive and sweet just like the rest of the employees. I ordered the rice bowl and added beef. It took a while to come out but it was definitely worth it. The meat was cooked perfect but was a bit chewy. The bowl consisted of a mixture of rice and veggie. There was what seemed to be quinoa or some kind of rice, yellow carrots, broccoli and snap peas. The restaurant is beautiful. The food is organic, free range and super healthy. Exactly the way I love to eat. The Japanese eggplant with tofu and cauliflower I had for lunch was delicious. I love this place! Just the kind of place I was hoping for when I moved to CA. They make fresh, healthy and organic (following dozen 12) food. They have great options for kids also. My kids who don't like to eat healthy even enjoyed their food. They have Kombucha on draft. I will have to try it next time. I highly recommend this place. We loved the vibe here, food was amazing, lots of space for our large party. The food is fresh, organic, perfectly seasoned. What I loved: a make-your-own bowl with chicken, brown rice, sautéed avocado, basalmic vinaigrette. A friend let me taste the avocado toast, another her wrap. All SO GOOD. It's been about 5 or 6 years since I have been at this location. Since then the portions have gotten drastically smaller! I ordered the Mother Earth bowl which I have had many times before. Much skimpier than before! Not worth ordering any more. Also used to have extra pesto and a red spicy sauce on the side. Now it's prerationed on the food. Maybe they are trying to get you to order additional things. Lacks the wow factor this dish once had. Cute enough place but food has gotten skimpy and lack luster. Disappointing! Won't come back to this location. Hope the other location is still worth it. read more

All around fantastic restaurant! I love coming here for lunch. It's light playful and the food is terrific. You can't go wrong with a single item on the menu. I've tried every single salad and they all kill it. It's a restaurant for everyone. Parties of 2 or parties of 12 they accommodate it all! And babies are welcomed as well. The service is quick and it always seems like the second I order at the front I can barely find a table in time before my foods coming out :) I'll be coming here forever! read more

One of my favorites! I almost always order the same thing but switch up my sides. I get the plate and add chicken $5. I usually get the spicy eggplant with cashews and corn quinoa. SOOOO GOOD. the eggplant is so full of flavor And perfect amount of spice. If my mini me is with me we eat out in the back which is great for kids. There are toys, chalkboards, and tiny tables. They have such great outdoor dining. I wouldn't say this is every guys dream eatery though. Some would like it, my brother enjoyed his. My husband was meh about his steak wrap. read more

We order from Flower Child just about once a week. Its the only salmon my one year old will eat and I've yet to figure out how they make it so good! My family came here on a visit down to San Diego! The food was amazing! I highly recommend the Mediterranean Quinoa, The Cobb, and the Flying Avocado. The Simple Hummus was great as well! The art on the walls and the cute vibe of the restaurant was very enjoyable and the atmosphere was laidback. I pretty much come here every time I'm in San Diego for work literally three times a day. No joke. They have everything you need for vegans, gluten free and paleo. They also have really good grass fed meat, chicken, salmon and tofu. Give it a shot. Oh and the decorations is super cute! Great brunch spot too! read more

Going to flower child makes my day! All of their food is healthy and comfort all at the same time. The atmosphere is also so beautiful. It's the same in AZ too. Stopped in on a recommendation from a friend in San Diego and gaged when I saw their array of salads. I tried the strawberry salad, because cali girl, duh, and dauuumm dude. That shit was bomb! Best fucking strawberry salad I've ever had. You get nice juicy strawberries cuts, not no thin slices. This place is a cute, reasonably priced alternative to other fast-casual spots that are less ethically sourced/"clean." It's reasonably priced for farm-to-table ($10-15 for an average sized lunch) although the portions aren't huge. I had the two-item plate with the corn & quina, and the sautéed spinach, and added grilled tofu. The corn & quinoa was the best item, creamy and delicious. The sautéed spinach wasn't anything special but it was cooked well with plenty of oil. The tofu was a bit plain, and less grilled than I usually like (would've asked for it more well done). The lemonades and iced teas are amazing, and probably the most reasonably priced item on the menu... overall the food was probably a solid 3.5 stars, and they get an extra half star for being ethically sourced/farm to table. Tip: go all the way through to the back patio, which is quieter/prettier than the front and side patios. read more

I love the food here. But not stoked on the experience. I ordered two meals to go. Waited, they called my name and came over to me and gave me the bag. Got home and realized they forgot one of the meals. I call them up and they said you left one of your meals here. I get there and they say I left before the other meal was ready.. then why hand me a bag with my order? How am I supposed to know I need to wait? That is just a lie and bs. Great tasting bowls. Very fresh flavors/combination of ingredients which I've never experienced before. Very pleasant surprise. Unfortunately, we were very disappointed by the behavior of one of your managers, Hope. My mother was on the phone with my sister through FaceTime, simply talking and enjoying herself. Hope approached my mother in a very aggressive and unprofessional manner, standing extremely close to her and angrily telling her to hang up the phone and stop recording, even though my mother was not recording anyone. I tried to explain that my mother does not speak English very well, but instead of handling the situation professionally, Hope accused me of being rude, told us to leave, and threatened to call the police. Her behavior made both my mother and me feel very upset, uncomfortable, and unwelcome. She also stood very close to us and made physical contact by touching me, which made me feel extremely uncomfortable. No customer should be treated this way. We came to your business hoping to enjoy ourselves and receive good service, but instead we experienced rude, aggressive, and unacceptable treatment from a manager. I hope senior management will address this situation seriously so that no other customers have to go through the same experience. Because of this incident, we do not feel comfortable returning to that location.

That said, the Del Mar location also offers both indoor and outdoor seating, so you still have options. The service was pretty good. I highly recommend starting with the Thai-style lettuce wraps as an appetizer, they're one of my favorites. For my entrée, I ordered the cheeseburger, which never disappoints. Everything was cooked well and tasted great. I also really like the ambiance here. It has a cozy, darker atmosphere that makes it a great spot for a dinner date or a night out with friends. It arrived on an incredibly hot plate that kept everything sizzling throughout the meal. We paired it with the mac & cheese, whipped mashed potatoes, and broccoli. Every side was delicious, especially the creamy mac & cheese. Even though we were completely stuffed, we couldn't pass up dessert. The Red Velvet Bread Pudding was amazing and the perfect ending to the meal. We couldn't finish it, but the staff happily boxed everything up for us to enjoy later. To top it all off, one of the staff members even offered to take our anniversary photo, so we were able to capture the memory without having to ask. Every detail made this one of our favorite dining experiences. Steak 48 knows how to make a celebration feel special. We're already planning our next visit... and honestly, those Chicken Fried Lobster Tails alone are worth coming back for! Also worth adding the restrooms were clean, heated seats & a bidet.

Everyone really enjoyed their entrees. We had a huge lunch so we weren't super hungry for appetizers. Drinks weren't the best but we weren't really there to drink a lot anyway. The thing that made it memorable was the great view. We requested "outdoor" seating which I guess means indoor by the window for them. Not complaining however, since it was a little chilly at buggy and our view was great. In one shot, we could get a super closeup view of the water, the Del Mar fair, the race track and a train going through! Where else are you going to see that? All in all an enjoyable time with good friends and good food. Valet parking only it seems. I parked on the street which is basically the same or more, so valet is worth it.

I'm a big fan of Flower Child 100%, and this location is no exception. The food is consistently excellent, and the service is always great. Everything feels fresh and well-executed every time I come in. The staff are friendly and attentive, and even when it's busy, things move quickly. You never feel rushed, and service is smooth and reliable. I've even used their catering before, which was a huge hit, and the rewards program is a nice bonus with occasional free items. The rotating menu also keeps things interesting. The space itself is bright, clean, and welcoming, with amazing seating both inside and out, especially on the patio. I actually come here regularly to camp out and get work done, and it's one of the better spots for that in the area. Overall, it's a great spot that consistently delivers. Customer service is slow, inefficient and unfriendly. I ended up waiting around for them to resolve an issue for 10 minutes while they were scrambling to locate my order from half an hour prior. Turns out they misunderstood my original request which ended up with me standing there for 10 minutes unnecessarily. Staff members are standoffish and that's not appreciated. Flower Child is one of our go-to spots! I love stopping in for their fresh, flavorful salads--they're always delicious and satisfying. My granddaughter is a big fan too--she always orders the mac & cheese with steak and devours every bite. This place is a real gem with wholesome, feel-good food and a welcoming vibe. Use to eat there all the time but I've had 2 door dash orders from them missing items so this last time I called them and let them know. She put me on hold and when she came back she said they would send me a gift card via email. I made sure they had the write spelling and it's been 4 days without anything. This was a terrible dining experience . The meat was not cooked . The meat was not even warm. Blood from the steak covering the mashed potatoes . Not even close to edible . Im reporting this place to the BBB before someone gets food poisoning . I looked at the food/prep bar as I was leaving and it was disgusting . Tasty salad but way to expensive. These guys brought the whole salad thing to a whole new price tag. If you add protein it's like $18... decor is interesting but location is weird, they have an open kitchen but most seating is in a different room where kitchen isn't see at all.
