A lot of detail went into this restaurant. Outside the front of the restaurant is a cute sign and water station. I'm not sure if it's the same everyday but when I went the water was infused with lemon, grapefruit, and orange. Ordering was super easy and the cashier was refreshingly friendly. I was half expecting a sit down restaurant but it is a restaurant where you order at the counter and they give you a number to deliver the food at your table-which I love. The food came out relatively fast. The table attendants were so helpful and one even offered to get us napkins and silverware since we forgot. I'm so excited this place opened up here in Henderson! I visited the store a few weeks ago right when it opened and am just getting around to writing this review. I ordered my food online for pickup - the online service was super user-friendly. Upon arrival to the takeout window of the beautiful restaurant, the super friendly staff efficiently grabbed my order without any issues. I ordered the ginger miso crunch salad with no bell peppers and added salmon. It was sooooo delicious! The salmon was crispy on the outside and was cooked perfectly. The salad was indeed crunchy and fresh, and the dressing was awesome. To drink, I ordered the rosewater lemonade, which was just ok. I didn't think it tasted like much, but I still drank it anyway. I'd like to try some other drinks on the menu, and of course can't wait to go back and try other dishes! read more

My husband and I attended their soft opening today! Having had visited the Newport Beach location we somewhat knew what to expect but my experience at the brand new Henderson location far exceeded my expectations... Firstly, the building is absolutely gorgeous! With high open ceilings and an expansive dining area and patio, it gave off a super modern yet comfortable feel from the moment we walked in. We were greeted by several employees and were able to order very quickly. The cashier was very pleasant. We ordered two of the protein entrees with salmon, Brussels and sweet potato- the other with mashed potatoes and Mac & cheese. Both were so tasty and flavorful, the portions were decently sized and the salmon came out perfectly cooked! Such amazing flavors... We also shared the lemon cake & chocolate pudding. But the pudding was the star. Can't go wrong with any of their teas but I especially love the unsweetened black passion fruit! Seeing how busy this place was today, I was looking forward to trying it for the first time. I have to say I was somewhat disappointed. For what you get for the price, the food here is very simple. I had the chicken Yaki Soba noodles, my mother had the Avocado Caesar with salmon, and my father had the chicken enchiladas. I tried each dish, and while they tasted good, they weren't anything special. Like I said earlier, simple. The Yaki Soba was served warm which was interesting. This dish would have tasted better as a cool dish. The avocado Caesar had barely any avocado in it. When my father ordered the enchiladas, I told him not to expect what he gets from Mexican restaurants. It was definitely more of a Tex-Mex flavor. All the dishes tasted fresh so that was a plus. The interior of the place was nice and bright. I'm not sure I liked how it was set up though. The station where you got your drinks and utensils was on the far wall away from where you order. You get little interaction with the staff due to the way it's set up. A positive today was that when we were served our food, the server apologized for it taking a while to get our food and he gave us 3 different "desserts" (a gluten free chocolate cookie, a gluten free brownie, and a lemon muffin which I assume was gluten free due to how dense it was). Best Accidental Gluten-Free Muffin Ever! Stopped by Flower Child and wasn't really hungry, so I got their limited edition pumpkin muffin. Turns out, it was gluten-free--not that I could tell because it was that good. If all gluten-free things tasted like this, I'd rethink my life choices. My friend and I also got the house-made kombucha because we're kombucha people. If you're not a kombucha person, keep an open mind--it might change you. This one was watermelon (and some other flavors I can't remember), strong, and served in a mason jar. 10/10 aesthetic. The vibe? Pretty cool. Dimmed lighting, not too loud, and in a prime spot right behind the Green Valley Casino/District. My friend got steak and mac--she said it was decent but not life-changing. I had waited over 5 months since discovering the new Flower Child location in the District to take my mom. We went today for a Mother's Day late lunch about 2:45pm. She had been excited to order the turkey and avocado Cobb salad (sub the buttermilk yogurt ranch dressing) and I had looked forward to trying the miso crunch salad, with the miso ginger dressing. I had told mom- based on my experience with Flower Child in Texas- that the portion sizes were a little smaller than the average US portion size. (I wanted to prepare her, given she has salad at restaurants a lot, and is used to having leftovers.) Today, she was pleased with the amount of lettuce in her salad, but quickly realized she had only 2 small pieces of avocado and much less turkey (and even tomatoes) than she had anticipated. Still, she loved the ranch dressing and thought it was the best ranch she had ever tasted. One of the staff members brought her an extra dressing to go which was incredibly kind. He even shared a bit with us about the fresh herbs that they use to make it. We certainly appreciated his kindness! My miso crunch was a disappointment- I had exactly 1 zoodle, and very, very few cashews (I actually counted them) and very few sesame seeds as well. In general, there was a LOT of lettuce (which is fine- I like lettuce) but not as much of the other veggies as I had seen in pictures on Yelp. So I was disappointed. The focus of the day was on my mom, though, so that helped keep things in perspective. (I did speak to someone tonight who works at another local restaurant, and that restaurant ran out of numerous items today, so it's possible FC was just running low on some items for the salads. I do want to give them the benefit of the doubt...). **We were both very pleased with how fresh the salads were- that's important and I do want to highlight their focus on fresh ingredients. **I am giving an extra star for the staff- they were fantastic! I interacted with 7 staff members, and all except one seemed incredibly friendly and very competent at their jobs as well as managing customers with a cheerful, eager-to-help attitude. (And I am assuming that one person might have just been having a long day). I had been on the fence about purchasing the $50 gift card (with the additional $10 promo card) that I am receiving regular emails about right now. For now, I'm holding off, but I think the freshness of the food and the quality of the staff (not to mention the comfortable setting) are worth trying this location again for a return visit. read more

This place has been on our list for a while, when it first opened it was always packed so decided to finally come in for a quick dinner. First things first, the place is decorated beautifully and I love the outdoor patio as well as being able to see the expo. The menu was a little overwhelming at first but mostly because there were so many great options to choose from so it took us a while to decide. I wanted to order a new menu item but unfortunately they were out of it when we went to order. This was disappointing mostly because we were looking at the menu for so long, I wish the cashier would've mentioned it or at least asked if we had any questions about the menu. My reason for 4 stars. We did love our dinner though - everything was super flavorful! My steak was cooked perfectly and loved the gluten free mac. The first time I came here I had rated it a 3/5. I had recently decided to try this spot again and I was pleasantly surprised with the Tofu Mother Earth bowl. Though the tofu lacks flavor, the rest of the bowl tastes clean and delicious. The sweet potato is especially yummy. Will definitely be coming back for this menu item. I'm glad I gave it another chance. Overall rating 4/5. The steak on the other hand is usually cooked medium well but it's not very consistent, so it is not very good to get it for take out and reheat unless you like well done steak. The salmon is usually cooked for too long as well and comes out dry. I don't recommend the salmon, but the steak is fine for dine-in. Popped into the new Flower Child in Green Valley for lunch today. Arrived early around 11:30 before the lunch rush and walked into an open airy eatery with shabby chic type decor. I ordered the Glow Bowl and I added salmon to it and it was absolutely delicious. The combination of ingredients along with the sauce was perfect. This restaurant you order at the counter and then they bring the food out to you. They have a station where you can get water and condiments. They also have a open pick up station for pick up orders and staff for walking throughout the venue frequently to help clear tables, which was super nice to see if I arrived later during the lunch rush it's encouraging to see how quickly the tables get cleared so that people can be seated quickly and eat the amazing food here overall, the food is great. Oh I also had the Lemon Olive Oil Caje for dessert, flavorful and not too sweet, definitely recommend!
