Ive had the pleasure of trying flower child prior to this opening. I originally had it in Boulder, CO and was so happy they built one in Henderson. The overall atmosphere is beautiful and open. The concept is so bright and I loved the feeling as soon as you walk in. The service was ok...unfortunately the person who took our order was constantly getting our order wrong. Since there was a line we fixed it once but after the second mistake we just opted for whatever We got the tofu bowl with sweet potatoes in chili sauce and sweet corn with quiona. Sweet Corn and Quiona is why we come. Its flavorful and delicious. The potatoes were okay, we really wanted the sweet potato fries but the person taking our order just kept hearing sweet potato lol. What really got me was the service, the ones who took our orders were so kind and took the time to explain the items on the menu. I enjoy how Flower Child is a place where I can just sit and catch up with friends while eating the delicious food we ordered. The prices were a little more in the upper side in my opinion and it does get busy but I can see why. The location is also a plus because it's in walking distance of the other shopping areas at The District at Green Valley Ranch and when we were there the farmers market was in walking distance after we finished eating. I've been wanting to try this place since I saw the sign go up! Upon walking in, I noticed the line at the door right away, but realized it was to order. It's another one of those places where you order first, find your seat, your food is brought to you, then you leave your dishes at the table. I swear this concept is getting more and more common! I get nervous when I'm at restaurants with this seat yourself after ordering concept because I'm afraid of not finding a seat. However, we were able to find a great seat right away, in the corner with a window. The place is airy and bright with lots of fun positive vibes decor. The bench I sat on was nice and cushy. Shortly after we sat, we waved someone down to wipe the table as there was still some remnants of the last party's lunch. We were here on a Sunday afternoon at peak lunch hour in Vegas which is 1pm! I definitely had to try this place. Thanks to Instagram and to a few foodies I follow, I wanted to try this spot out. Ever since I discovered that my diet will now only allow me to eat clean (mostly gluten free and Vegan friendly), this place has become one of my go to spots. Located at the District in Green Valley, this place is not hard to miss.you can see if right off the freeway when driving on the 215. I came in on multiple occasions, mostly on the weekends. I never had a problem waiting to order no more than ten minutes and finding a spot to sit and enjoy my food. Most times the line is out the door, however their service is quick to get you seated if you decide to stay. If you decide to take it to go, you can get attended to in the separate line for to go or DoorDash orders that is to the left when you walk right in. This place is definitely a cute spot to go to with friends, family, or loved one (depending if they love to healthy). They have individual table tops that you can choose to sit down at, little half booths that are situated mostly on the corners of the restaurant, and outdoor seating with misters. These are also comfortable and create a friendly atmosphere. The menu: they have sandwiches, wraps, bowls, salads, mains (these are mostly appetizers you can share), an option to add protein, entrees, a kids menu, and they offer sangria and wine for the bougee at heart. They also have everything labeled noting if it is vegan or gluten free. Although, some options may be harder to substitute; you can definitely check to see if they can do a gluten option if available. I do wish they did have more options for gluten free friendly folks, something like the sandwiches or the wraps. For me, as I mentioned I have came here several times ordering mostly gluten free for myself. But my most favorite meal from here so far has been the strawberry and watermelon along with the Peruvian Braised Beef. The salad itself is ginormous and can be one meal if that is what you have room for. The strawberry and watermelon are always fresh, the romaine lettuce also fresh (love the fact theirs is not wilted), with the goat cheese, almonds (already adds extra to make you full) with the poppy seed dressing.this combination adds sweet salt, yet juicy at the same time with a hint of zing to it with the dressing.i also was juiced to taste the Peruvian Braised Beef since I have not had anything close to it. Let me tell you, omg factor the times I have ordered this he beef is always super tender, falls off once you put your fork in it. It also melts in your mouth on every bite. It comes with the perfect combination, from the jasmine rice (btw, this typically cooked right too, not to dry or wet an added bonus), to the black bean sofrito healthier and easy to soak down and digest. Then the added pickles and pickled onions along with the salsa verde and a hint of lime. This definitely hits the spot. Even after eating these two together it brings a happy tummy. So if you are I this side of town, definitely a place you need to try. Highly recommended for those that want to eat healthier. With that, it is worth the price and definitely does not disappoint.
