We ordered the funniest sundae! Super delicious! We ate on the counter and it gave that old diner ambiance. We took a while to choose our options as there were so many good ones, but they were patient and even offered many samples.

Finally got to try this spot, came for the banana split! Parking around can be tough, we came around 11pm on a Friday evening. There's a few seats inside & maybe one table outside. The interior is so cool, lots of cool things to look at on the walls. The banana split was around $24 after tax and includes your choice of 1-6 flavors. There's probably 10+ flavors. We tried strawberry, pistachio, coffee, chocolate, burnt milk & mint chocolate chip. Can't complain, all the flavors we chose were excellent! Very cool spot to hang out and have an ice cream with friends.

The ice cream place itself is great, I love the seating area and the decor it gives super retro vibes. I can see this being more of a place to hang out than actual enjoying the ice cream. I bought a banana split thinking I could take it to go but the worker told me they do not offer for to go as they are a non waste business but I did see someone leave with a paper bag so I don't know. Main reason why I'm giving it 2 stars is because I paid 25$ for a banana split, not including tip so total being 28$. I wished I looked at the prices more closely and I really don't mind paying more for something so simple as long as the taste lives up to the price but the cost for this banana split is absolutely ridiculous, the size was not any bigger than a standard banana split and it was really more for aesthetic than taste I guess. I got to choose a couple flavors but I'm not going to lie I picked 4 different flavors and none of them were good at least not for the price. I'm born and raise in Echo park and completely support small businesses but I don't know I guess I don't get it.

Woowww I feel like I just stepped into Pop's from Riverdale! This place is such a cool retro throwback, its hard not to have nostalgia for an era that you never lived. Ordered: A 6 ice cream banana split sundae. 5/5 Now I'm not the first one to say that the star of the show is the banana and its a shame that this is my first sundae because I fear that no one else will be able to compete oops! The banana was caramelized to a creme brulee perfection that it literally almost reminded you of that. It was heavenly. The ice cream was all quite good and I liked the flavor options, and the scoop amount was generous. Ambiance: 5/5 As I said gotta give a shout out to the vibes. There's a juke box playing, there's bits and bobs, some booth seating and a very long counter to sit on and outdoor seating. Service here was great they were very sweet. Parking might be a little tough here but it'd depend on the time of day. This is a must late night run if you're in the area!

Top flavors here: - The brulee'd banana. I wish they could do six brulee'd bananas and two scoops of ice cream in their banana split. This place inspired me to air fry my bananas with sugar at home - In order of preference: Vanilla, matcha, earl grey, strawberry (don't recommend this for the split but it's tasty alone), pistachio, mint chocolate chip (super minty and also does not go with the banana split IMO), egg nog, rainwater sorbet (would not recommend to put in the split, clashing flavors) The inside is so sick and retro, love that they are open til midnight or 1 AM on weekends. The banana split is definitely a 3+ person experience in my opinion as the ice cream melts quickly. :'D They get quite busy in the late evenings but the workers were polite and the split was out within 5ish mins! The only wait I would anticipate is the line to order and looking for a seat after the order has been placed. Parking is metered/street parking in the neighborhood. Bathroom was clean at 10 PM on a Thursday night.

Loved it! It's located in the Hollywood section but, it has that tobacco, humble, goth and mysterious vibe about it. Iykyk! Visiting at night is my personal exercise. The worker held a great enlightening conversation and we felt comfortable and pleased to be there. The ice cream flavorful and very rich. For example, there Burnt Cream. If you need another recommendation, why ask?

I love Fluffy McCloud's and their banana split is such a special treat. You can get 1-6 flavors and the banana split is just perfection. Went the other night and introduced the place to friends and it was nice to share the banana split and sit inside and chat. The interior is so fun and there's so much to look at. However, parking can be difficult because of the area. Definitely worth it though!

I really enjoyed the whimsical ambience. Lots of fun stuff to look at while we enjoyed our cones at the counter. The employee behind the counter was helpful, made us laugh, and even told us we can play music on the jukebox. I got a scoop of the pistachioyoyoyo and it was delicious! Will definitely be back.

We also got the sundae, and it was pretty good overall. I definitely loved the pistachio, vanilla, and chocolate mint those three stood out the most. I can't really say much about the other flavors since they lean more toward personal preference kind of an acquired taste but those three were solid. The interior had more of a diner vibe, which I liked. I just wish there was more seating inside since the place is kind of small. They do have outdoor seating, but at night it can get pretty cold, so it's not always ideal. The workers were nice.

Found this place late on a Friday night. Place was packed! Once inside it looked like an old school ice cream parlor. That was several tables and booths. There was also a "soda bar" with seating. They are know for their banana splits. The unique thing about their banana split is they offer brulee'd bananas!!! A banana split comes with 6 scoops of ice cream of your choice!!! The ice cream is just basic ice cream, but thats to be expected at a ice cream parlor and in a banana split. But the addition of the brulee'd banana made this stop worth the wait!! Very tasty way to enjoy a banana split!! if you're looking for a sweet treat one evening, I recommend stopping by fluffy McLeod's and getting the Brulé banana split. Diner vibes with delicious ice cream, jukebox, and mellow lighting! I happen to be in the area after dinner and was craving a sweet treat. I stumbled upon this place on Yelp and decided to give it a try! We came around 12 pm and it was still pretty busy. There's a parking lot located near the ice cream parlor that didn't charge for parking after 9pm. The ice cream parlor had a nice diner vibe to it as soon as you walk in. There's a jukebox, booth seats, bar stools that overlook the street outside, and counter seats. I thought that this would be a nice place to bring a date since the portions are definitely shareable. They had about 10 flavors to pick from and you can ask for samples of it to see how it fits your tastebuds! I shared with 2 other people and opted for the banana split! Food: Banana Split (8/10): They brûléed the banana and It was kind of a game changer! It adds a nice crunch to the banana but it wasn't torched to the point where the sugar hurt the roof of your mouth. The banana split comes with 6 different flavors. There's no rule where you have to get all different flavors! Between the six scoops, we got 2 coffee, 2 cookies n cream, 1 thelma vanilla, and 1 banana bread. My ranking for all the flavors, banana bread, coffee, cookies n cream, vanilla. The banana bread was so prominent in flavor! The brown sugar shined through together with the banana flavor. The banana didn't have any artificial tasting flavor which is my favorite because a lot of other places use syrups but beware this one does contain nuts. The coffee flavor was there but not so strong to where you have to worry about not falling asleep after eating it. The cookies n cream wasn't an Oreo flavored ice cream but it tasted like they used a butter cookie base instead. The thelma vanilla was good but there wasn't anything that stood out to me. They also added sprinkles, coconut flakes, cherries, and piles of whipped cream!

Actually the coolest spot on Sunset Blvd. You're totally transported to a different time!! It's the perfect mix of 50's diner vibes and the 70's with the retro jukebox, swivel chairs, mirrored walls and cow print seats. So creatively designed. The staff was super nice and easygoing too. We got the banana split and it was so delicious and beautifully crafted-- yes it was a bit pricey (like $18 bucks) but sooooo worth it!! I would say you could split it with 3 people and everyone would be satisfied. The Banana was caramelized, it had some organic Maraschino cherries, and you can choose up to 6 flavors! You def gotta try the pistachio. 10/10 lovely experience!

Vegan cookies and crème: Ice cream is very light. Sweeter than mint chip. Cookies tasted like generic cookies not oreos because they make all their ingredients USDA organic. Mint chip: The ice cream is very light, it won't make you feel heavy like diary ice cream. Stronger mint flavor than the usual mint ice creams.

After a Dodgers (I'm a Mets fan) game, what better way to celebrate their loss -- ICE CREAM!!! The flavors are a variety of options and it is a hard scooped ice cream. Very delicious. The pricing was very decent. And the staff was incredible. Super kind. They do not have to go cups. So you have to put it in a cone or in a stainless dish to eat inside. This was such a cute place. It's like a sundae parlor. Two booths inside, and about 6 high chairs at the bar top table. Seating outside as well. read more

Ice cream here is pretty average too, BUT the place is so cute hahaha. It has a jukebox that you can't really choose the music, but you can still listen to the music. Honestly not much to say about this place but it's average ice cream. 7/10. read more

First time here ! Positives : they sell Lottery and take cash . Negatives : sold out of coffee ice cream at 8:30pm and no backup. Also no to go containers with very limited seating and a line out the door , forcing many patrons to stand around and eat...overall a good stop for a quickie before going to the Echo concert venue next door. read more

The influencers really overhyped this place. It's small with strange decor and sells some dumb supplements. It doesn't come off as super nostalgic and feels more cramped than anything. Flavors are limited and very hit or miss. Pistachio was my favorite. The toffee was super sweet and the mint tasted like toothpaste. Wheatgrass is really earthy and would be good for matcha fans. They let you try as many flavors as you want, but I do think their misses and limited selection make me less eager to return. I came for the banana split, but didn't end up getting it because it required like 6 scoops of ice cream. They should really offer half orders of it because i mostly wanted to try it for the caramelized banana. My two friends offered to help pick at it with me and I almost got it, but the woman helping us was so rude I ordered nothing and sampled my friends' orders. A lot of reviews mention this rude employee; I'm not a stickler for customer service, but it takes a lot to zap the fun out of an ice cream parlor. I told her she could decide the 6 flavors I got for me because I was a little overwhelmed at picking so many, but she immediately turned me down and on top of it, didn't offer any suggestions. The family behind us ordered the banana split and she was much more helpful with them. The other woman working the front tried to encourage me to get something, but I was so embarrassed by her coworker I wanted her to leave me alone too. I wouldn't enthusiastically recommend this place, but maybe check it out if you're in the area. I think it is commendable that the owner wanted a non-alcohol space open late at night, but I wanted a drink after my experience here lol. I'll probably come back when I'm less bitter because I am determined to try that banana split. read more

Fluffy's organic ice cream is so good! My daughter and I recently shared a banana split and it was amazing ~ I think there were 5 or 6 scoops of ice cream underneath the chocolate syrup, whipped cream, coconut and sprinkles. The adorable scooper, Alice. brought me a bowl of whipped cream to enjoy, after hearing me say how much I loved whipped cream. Great vibes, fabulous housemade ice cream, and art at Fluffy's. 10/10 staff is extremely friendly. I love the overall ambiance and aesthetic - diner vintage vibes with a twist. My fave flavor is pistachio with raspberry with waffle cone as well. If you get a waffle cone it's 2 scoops. Add ons are $.50- $1 more such as nuts, chocolate drizzle etc. I also love that they have a lactose gumball machine. Definitely a must try. On a Saturday night the line is out the door but don't get discouraged it goes by fast. read more

Double Scoop Waffle Cone / horchata + churro - 5! Fluffy McCloud's in Echo Park is a hidden gem of an ice cream shop run by some highly creative people. It was a delight to visit their shop to try their fresh, all-natural, handmade ice cream. I am glad I saw them on social media because their unassuming storefront is hard to spot if you don't know what you're looking for. In an era dominated by made-for-social-media 'branding', having a plain but elegant storefront is clever. The interior of the shop is reminiscent of a classic ice cream parlor but made for the current era. It is charming, quirky, and has a variety of fun details like the classic jukebox decked out with cow horns or the lotto ticket dispenser in the center of their main counter space. The two clerks running the shop were kind, friendly, and helpful. Another detail I appreciated was that their sample spoons are metal. I had to sample their fresh-milk vanilla because I had never seen something like that before but I settled on churro and horchata for my cone. The ice cream is fresh, creamy and delicious. From what I gather, they rotate flavors and present them in a glass case like a gelato shop. They have vegan flavors and sorbets. While I was there, I saw a table share a banana split and it was one of the most gorgeous ice cream treats I had ever seen. I wasn't brave enough to try one. I was by myself and would not have wanted to let any of it go to waste. Echo Park has tough to find street parking but also this area has large parking lots just off Sunset so parking is never really an issue here. If you are here for any of the amazing restaurants in the area, finish your meal with a delicious ice cream treat from Fluffy's. It is a great spot. read more

tried the banana split that came with 6 scoops of ice cream. i went with the pistachio, coffee, cookies n cream, strawberry, pumpkin cheesecake, and one more flavor i forgot but my favorite was the strawberry. i loved the brulee on top of the bananas. definitely good to share. inside was very cute i loved the decorations. read more

The ice cream here lived up to its hype! It was so creamy and thick, and their waffle cones were so good as well! You can definitely tell that they make it in house. We tried some of the flavors they had that day (pistachio, corn, star berry) and ended up getting pistachio and corn since they were the most unique flavors there. They even have lactaid pills for anyone who needs it in a little gum ball dispenser (so thoughtful)! Of course, the aesthetics were on point and the music from the jukebox was so fun. The line on a Friday night was long though, as they only had one counter to serve people at and they let you try the flavors, but TOTALLY WORTH IT :) read more

Anyone who gives anything less than a 5 star review for this place is a straight up HATER, and must not like ice cream (which makes you lame). I dare you to eat the banana split and not say 'Yummy' out loud. It's impossible. All hand made, organic ingredients made right there at the shop by the extremely friendly staff. The flavors all seem to have some mystical back story that blend reality with an imaginative fairytale; like 'Strawberry Swan' - a flavor named after a swan that ate so many strawberries its feathers turned pink! Like some fantasy dream, an enormous glowing Saturn lantern hangs above you, marbles are constantly spinning and sliding and dropping through an intricate maze of steel wires hanging on the wall, music is blaring out of a glowing Jukebox with bullhorns, and mirrors multiply the scene endlessly on every wall. The attention to detail was not lost on me. Fluffy's reminds us what it is like to be a child, where anything is possible and everything is exciting. After my experience, I was reminded of a quote from the author Tom Robbins: "It's never too late to have a happy childhood." read more

I've been wanting to check out this place for a while and I was not disappointed! Came here with a friend at 10:30pm on a Tuesday night and it was pretty lively! We sat at the cute cow-print booth in the corner and shared a scoop of coffee + toffee. Will definitely bring more friends back here - I'm thinking after bar hopping on Sunset one of these nights. I absolutely love the late hours and chill music. It sets such an enjoyable scene for people to hang out and have great convos. Kudos to whoever curated this unique spot! read more

The ice cream was really good, we got the banana split comes with 6 flavors and all the flavors were really rich. My favorite was the pistachio it tasted just like the real thing. Only thing is the seating is pretty minimal but we managed to get a spot in the corner. The service is also really nice and polite. read more

Wow wow wow! Came in this evening for some ice cream and was blown away. I got a Sunday so I could try four flavors, the pistachio, corn, honey lavender and coconut! All were fantastic, but definitely try the corn. Alice was wonderful and helped us out and answered all our questions. Gorgeous lighting and very fun interior vibe. Will be back! read more

The minimum size here is a double scoop--not exactly ideal for little ones. I've been to this spot a few times with my toddler, and up until last night, they'd always split our double scoop into two cups, no problem. It was a nice little afternoon treat that we all enjoyed. But this time, the man behind the counter said it wasn't allowed. Apparently, splitting a double scoop into two cups is a big no-no, something they'd gone over in extensive staff meetings. Only one vessel per order--period. I looked down at my toddler, runny nose and all, and thought, 'There's no way I'm sharing this ice cream with her!' Anyone who knows toddlers knows they can barely handle one scoop, let alone two! Plus, they're picky--they want their flavors untouched. So, we skipped the double scoop and headed across the street to Lassens for some ice cream pops instead, which worked out perfectly. If you're bringing little kids, just be prepared: this place might not be as kid-friendly as it seems read more

This place ENABLES sample abusers. A short haired female stood in front of my partner and I, sampling flavor after flavor to the point where I could not believe what I was witnessing and had to depart this ice cream shop. I mean 2 samples is a stretch but 3, now we're just crossing the line. So you must be wondering, why is this employee allowing this while there was a massive line forming behind us?! Instead of capping her off at 2 samples, he was enabling her. This man encouraged her to try more. The words "coffee is really good, do you want to try that" came out of his mouth. I found myself in an unstable state of mind at this point. This man was scooping her a sundae and proceeded to continue serving her samples. The whole point of a sample is to sample so you know what you like for the larger portion. You don't continue to sample after you ordered. That's like gathering with your friends out on the town for a nice Mexican meal and double dipping into the salsa. It's frowned upon and nobody would ever meet with you again for a taco Tuesday night because you can't act like a human. I'll come back and try Fluffy again on one condition - this place has to have a sample limit set in place. I think that's fair and they'd end up saving most of their products as well as half of it wouldn't be given out for free. And if they want to hire me to stand next to their employees to knock off bozo customers trying to sample the whole store, I'll gladly come in to do it. Hell, I'll even volunteer to do it. Contact me. I'll save your business from the abusers and teach the employees not to feed into the abusive culture of sample abusing. 2 samples is the limit and if you can't handle it, get lost. read more

Their ice cream is organic so you expect to pay around $10 for two scoops of ice cream with the tip they ask you for. They don't have to-go cups so you will have to maybe get it in a cone if you sit outside. If you don't want a cone so the lady doesn't touch your cone with her barehands, you'll have to sit inside. The flavors are standard and nothing too out of the ordinary or adventurous like Wanderlust or Salt and Straw so expect things like chocolate, vanilla, strawberry, pistachio, coconut. They don't ask you if you want to taste any flavors when you're asking about flavors. A turn off was they don't use any gloves while scooping and while holding your waffle cone with their bare hands after touching the menu. It grossed me out while living in COVID times. Their ice cream is creamy, not icy and their waffle tastes freshly made. The guy who rings you up is tatted up on his face so coming in would probably scare grandma or her generation. read more

This new place in the neighborhood got in time for the summer. It's absolutely stunning inside, and nice seating bar like area with colorful stools. The jukebox works perfect and it's only a quarter. Their vegan ice cream has the perfect balance of sugar, cream and flavor. I have tried the pistachio, chocolate, Thelma vanilla, mint chip, LA banana bread, and coffee. The last two my faves so far! They have floats, sodas, affogato, teas and coffee. Also if you miss to take your vitamins of the day they have you covered. People working there are so nice and attentive. My mint chip ice cream at Fluffy McCloud's was excellent! The interior of this neat little ice cream parlor is very eclectic and fun. My only complaints are that there isn't much seating, but unless you get a cone, you can't take the ice cream outside, as they use metal cups. I am happy that they are trying to produce less waste, but I wish that the layout of this shop allowed more seating. read more

Honestly I'm not big on expensive ice cream (expensive imo) like I could just go to grocery store and just buy myself ice-cream and eat the whole container in a sitting BUT let's not binge eat. I walked in after the Dodger game, asked whether their menu contained peanuts or hazelnuts (it doesn't), and was still told, verbatim, "If you have any allergy, you can't eat here." No offer of a fresh tub, clean scoop, or even a conversation--just a shrug toward a sign. Food safety 101: a quick rinse or a dedicated utensil prevents cross-contact. Instead, Fluffy McCloud's chooses to shut out an entire community of allergy sufferers.
