My second time trying Fogo de Chão, not in this location, but in a different location. My family and I tried the DINE LA here and it was such a great experience. Instead of paying regular price for an experience of all you can eat meats, we only paid $65 each during the DINE LA event. But of course, there were some meats that was not part of the DINE LA event. But that was OK. It was still a great and wonderful experience being with my loved ones. We will definitely come back here sometime in the future. The service was great, quick, fast and efficient. The staff were very welcoming and very helpful and they all taught us about the meats they were passing out and maybe a little bit of a backstory about the meat on where it came from. The ambience here was quite beautiful. It felt like a fine dining restaurant. Would definitely recommend this place to all meat lovers!

Went here for happy hour to try the burger and it was definitely a high quality burger! The meat was cooked perfectly and was so juicy. I also upgraded to try the yuca fries which were also good (biased since I do like yuca) but if you prefer something crunchier and less starchy, stick to the polenta fries. As for the drink, I got the Skinny Caipirinha which is honestly the only reason why I wouldn't rate this 5/5. The drink was way too sweet and it tasted extremely artificial like those sugary premixed margarita drinks. Otherwise, it's a well worth happy hour and would come again (I'd just order a different drink lol)

What another great experience. We were looked after by Luke and Arleth. Our churrasco's were Mr. Arturo and Jose who really looked after us. We were checked in on my Jonathan. Overall, we alive this location and service.

I decided to give Fogo de Chão in Pasadena a second chance, hoping my first visit was just an off day. Unfortunately, this visit was even more disappointing. ::Food:: We ordered the Indulgent Churrasco experience. Unfortunately, the food and service didn't match the price point or the ambiance. Most of the meats were chewy and on the salty side. The highlights were the butter-bathed lobster tail and the fried plantains, which were both delicious. The Market Table didn't have many options that stood out. The Brazilian cheese bread, was so dry and lacked flavor. ::Dessert:: The molten chocolate cake with vanilla ice cream was my favorite part of the meal. It was warm, rich, and definitely worth ordering. ::Customer Service:: The service was the biggest disappointment. Based on the price point, I was hoping for attentive service, but everything we asked for took a long time. Our used plates sat on the table for a while before they were cleared, and we rarely saw our server. After our plates were removed, our utensils were taken too. We asked for forks so we could continue eating our plantains, but instead, another order of plantains was brought to the table. We ended up sitting there with two drinks, two plates of plantains, and no forks while we waited again. The most frustrating moment was when I asked for two straws. Nearly 20 minutes passed, so I asked again because I thought they had forgotten. Another server walked by and said, "Here, now you have more straws." I was confused until I noticed two straws had been placed in the corner of our small table without anyone saying anything. The comment felt unnecessary and only made an already frustrating situation more awkward. The bright spot was the management team. The female manager wearing the printed long-sleeve top checked on us several times; she was much more attentive than our server. Jonathan also stopped by to see how everything was and was friendly and professional. Their efforts were appreciated. ::M's Notes:: - Indoor seating - Parking garage and street parking

I came here with my friend to try the happy hour specials, especially the $10 burger. It did not disappoint. Happy hour is only available in the bar area, and our bartender, Kaelan, was very friendly. He even gave us some complimentary cheese rolls to start. We both ordered the burger with the regular fries instead of the yuca fries because my friend had tried the yuca fries before and didn't like them. We ordered our burgers medium, but they came out closer to medium-well. Kaelan offered to have the kitchen remake them, but we declined and just ate them as they were. I was very happy with the value. For $10, I couldn't even get a burger and fries at most fast-food places, let alone at a restaurant like Fogo de Chão. I'll definitely be back to try the other happy hour items.

This review if about the Happy Hour. For those of you who don't know, it's always happy hour at Fogo de Chao in the bar area. No kidding. All day, every day! Also, for those of you who don't know, they have the BEST happy hour burger deal you'll find anywhere. $10 for a big burger and fries. It would easily be over $20 anywhere else, and even the fast food chains would have a hard time beating a deal like this for a similarly sized burger and fries. I've been to the Beverly Hills location, and I like this one better. It's wide open, and the bar is off to the side but still in the restaurant. It's a great, classy vibe, but not at all pretentious. Of course, I had to do the burger deal. It's called the Picanha Burger. I ordered it medium, but it was served well-done. Pretty dry. The bun had been toasted too long, too, so it was also dry and crunchy. For $10, I didn't have the heart to send it back. My experience with steak houses is they tend to be on the side of undercooking more than overcooking. I guess the chef was a little heavy-handed, or his timer was on the fritz. Still, it was OK. It's huge. I could barely finish it, and I have a big appetite. They have other food items on the HH menu. Next time, I think I'll split a burger and get an additional food item off the HH menu. I still loved the experience. I had a nice glass of HH wine for $8. Our server and bartender, Caelan was great and helped create an excellent dining experience.

We came in to experience their bar menu. It took a bit before we were acknowledged at the hostess stand, but when they did show up, it was a warm greeting. The place is really beautiful and the atmosphere is nice. The baseball game was on tv, so that was nice. Bar itself was nice but not super clean. Guy wiped it down but not well. Service was good, otherwise. Bar menu is a great value and mostly very good. Lobster and Shrimp tacos are served on a napa cabbage leaf and presentation is nice, but the filling is pretty skimpy. Empanadas were good but a chimichurri would have been WAY better than the mayo provided. Chicken Sliders are super tasty and the Short Rib Sliders were good but needed a better sauce. Maybe even ketchup. Crab Cake was very good, but a bit salty. More a Crab Bake than a Crab Cake. Still, I'd get it again. Good value and an experience I'd recommend and do again.

We had another amazing experience at Fogo de Chão! The food was delicious, fresh, and perfectly prepared, as usual. Our server, Melissa, truly went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed. She was attentive, friendly, and made our visit extra special. Excellent food and outstanding service, we'll definitely be back!

How disappointing. I genuinely was so excited to come here for father's day to celebrate my grandfather. I have been here sooooo many times and I have only had positive experiences. What a sh*t show for father's day. I understand it's a holiday but for a restaurant that is on the upper price range y'all need to figure out your reservation system better. People were waiting outside for a long time even though they had reservations. (i.e. 40+ minutes.) genuinely horrible. Imagine you are bringing someone here for the first time, telling them how amazing it is and then have this happen to you. well that was my reality, very mortifying. We basically had to fight our way to a table. otherwise we would've been waiting outside for a long time. I don't know what happened here genuinely. If you are gonna try this place don't go on a holiday. They overbook this place and i feel as though they aren't staffed properly to fit the volume of people that are waiting. food was so disappointing, as in the same 2 meats were rotating for the majority of the time we were there I felt like a parrot asking for specific meats to come out. and I feel as though the quality of the meat has plummeted down since the last time ive been here. Silver lining was that there was other parties around us that felt the same way so it wasn't just an isolated incident with our party. once again, this was so embarrassing on my part for the fact that I would always rave about this place to my family and we ended up with the experience that we had today. Wouldn't wish it on my worst enemy. For an all you can eat place, we left hungry.

We came here tonight to celebrate my birthday and I definitely enjoyed the service, ambiance, and of course the FOOD It was my parent's and I's first time and it's my sister first time also at this location. We made a reservation and was sat right away. Our server was Matheus. He was good when we were sat but was not very good at checking in on us. We also had to ask and follow up on chimichurri and other things as well because it was taking awhile to get what we asked for. Other than that the other servers were AMAZING. The ones serving the meats, and getting our plates out the way was very attentive. The food was so good, the meat was flavorful and not dry at all. My parents were addicted to the pork belly with lime and honey. I loved all the meats that I got and when we ordered desserts we got the molten lava cake, tres leches, and crème brûlée cheesecake. Since it's my birthday they asked me which one I was most interested in and I said the cheesecake and the waiter came back with a happy birthday written on it, a candle, and when we paid we saw that it was a complimentary dessert which we were so grateful for. It was an amazing experience and I would definitely comeback!

Ordered: - Complimentary Cheese Bread (5/5): Love how crispy the cheese bread is and the way the cheese blends with the bread. It's one of our favorite items from Fogo! - Crispy Yuca Fries (4/5): This surprised us because we were expecting a lot more thinner cut fries, but instead it's just 6 really big fries with a sauce pairing to go with it. The flavors were solid but we just wish there was more! - The Bone (5/5): Favorite dish of the bunch. Initially looked overcooked but once we bit into it we found out how tender and juicy it was. Only complaint is the provided chimichurri was mostly oil. - Spiced chicken sliders (3/5): This was a pretty unremarkable dish, and the chicken was dry. Overall (3.5/5): We came here early for the happy hour menu at the bar, where you find seating yourself. There wasn't a wait and it was a pretty quiet dinner. Despite it being not busy, the food came out pretty slowly and we weren't very impressed with the sliders which we had higher expectations for.

First things first, Verónica was great, welcoming and friendly. It was a busy night but she was very attentive which was really appreciated. This is going to be long because there is a lot to discuss. We came in for a deal which didn't include the full list of meats but it did include the market table. The items that stood out were Watermelon, feta and jalapeno. The Caprese, slices or ripe tomatoes topped with buffalo mozzarella. The cheese selection, which included a great blue cheese. The deli meats procutto, salami and mortadella.' Something about the combination of the feta, watermelon and jalapeno went so well with the flavors of the meats. Before I get into the meat selection, I brought some cheesy biscuits and chimichurri. The cheesy biscuits were incredibly addictive. I wanted a popcorn bucket full of them! The two best meats in my opinion were the spicy steak as well as the pork belly with honey lime. The spicy steak had this deep rich flavor that just exploded. The pork belly, the sweetness of the honey, a hint of lime flavor mixed with the fat was an incredible combination. There were so many others that I enjoyed. The Parmesan crust chicken, the pork chop and the prime cut that we got. Finally we got to dessert, on our table we tried the Creme brûlée, the Tres Leches and the chocolate brigadeiro. Creme Brûlée, this was perfect, sweet and creamy. The Brigaderio was mind blowing. The rich creamy incredible explosion of chocolate was blissful. Tres Leches, this really stole the show. It was by far my favorite of the three. You could be completely full and you wouldn't be able to stop from finishing this!

It was my first time here at Fogo in Pasadena and I loved it! Everyone in my party had the Full Experience. The Market salad bar was packed with freshness! Our server Arleth was so friendly, attentive, and made the best recommendations on drinks and dessert. It's a great place to splurge a little while getting wonderful and friendly vibes throughout the entire meal!

Made reservations with a few friends at this restaurant. It was an amazing experience. Food was…read moredelicious, ambiance is elevated and service was spectacular. I'm definitely not a novice to fine dining, so I can hands down say Arroyo provides a superior and supreme experience. For starters: they provide bread and butter , which you can choose from 2 different types: sourdough or garlic . We chose both , definitely freshly made. Only issue is that they gave 2 slightly small bowls of butter for x4 people. I personally believe that each person should be initially served with their own butter bowl if the portion of butter is small, but that's just me . Not a slight against the chop house, because of course, a person can just ask for their own. The waiters were very attentive , as much as they could be , because for a Wednesday night, it was really busy. -The drinks: Wonderful! Tasty and decent with the alcohol. I tried the Hugo Spritz and Tangerine Sour. One of my friends in attendance had Straw and Berry. The Hugo spritz is light and refreshing, very soft alcoholic drink. The Tangerine sour , was nice! It was potent! A little more sour than I would have liked, but I'm still not complaining. This is a good drink if you don't mind citrus. For the straw and berry , very cute and definitely has both sweet and the potency available at its advantage. -For Parking its mainly valet only .$8 not too bad . There may be street parking available but it is limited and timed. -For appetizers we chose the oysters and bbq shrimp. I'm not a big fan of oysters but they were very tasty nonetheless , when the extras are added (lemon, sauce) . The bbq shrimp ?? You gotta try it ! If you don't have any allergies. Very delicious. -For entree , I had filet mignon wagyu steak. My first time having and definitely recommend. The meat was so tender , juicy and damn near melted in your mouth straight delici-gasm. As a few sides we all chose , green beans , and garlic potatoes. -During our dining, we had to have a slight change in accommodations mid reservation to accommodate an extra diner, and the staff were more than happy to accommodate us. They helped move all food and drinks to the new table. Excellent customer service ! -The chocolate souflee with vanilla ice cream was recommended to us by our waiter, it was a wonderful dessert to finish off the meal. Served warm, was Delicious! Definitely would recommend. Had a great experience.

The restaurant is beautiful inside, and the service from the moment we arrived was excellent. The staff was welcoming, attentive, and professional throughout our dinner. We started with the bread, which was fresh and hot. For an appetizer, we ordered the ahi tartare. It was okay, but unfortunately, it seemed to have more avocado than tuna. For dinner, my wife ordered the petite filet and I ordered the ribeye. Both steaks were cooked perfectly to the temperatures we requested, but unfortunately, they lacked flavor. At this price point, we expected the steaks to be the highlight of the meal, and they simply weren't. The Brussels sprouts, however, were delicious. Our waitress noticed we weren't completely satisfied and asked about our meal. After we explained our concerns, she offered to have my ribeye remade. I appreciated the offer but declined because I didn't want my wife to have to wait while another steak was prepared. They did provide us with a dessert for the inconvenience, which was a thoughtful gesture. Overall, the service was great, but the food was disappointing. For the price, we expected a much better dining experience. Unfortunately, our first impression wasn't a good one, and we don't see ourselves returning.

We made dinner reservations same day on a Wednesday and arrived at 6pm. There was live jazz music playing in the bar to the left of the restaurant which set a nice romantic lively mood for the evening. There was a slight wait before the hostess escorted us to our table in a dimly lit room. Vibe was romantic, polished, and relaxed. Since it was my birthday, the hostess gifted me a "Happy Birthday" card with a thoughtful message inside. (Because we were celebrating my birthday, we received a free cheesecake dessert and pina colada cotton candy towards end of our meal -- it was spectacular). Eventually our gracious server Steven, arrived and introduced himself and provided us our dinner and drinks menu. Their drink menu was extensive and had a wide selection of wines and cocktails. One of my favorite parts of experience was the "Omakase" customized drink option (I'd come back just for that experience alone). My husband requested for a smoky, spicy cocktail with Tequila and what the server brought back to us was indescribably delicious. We can tell the mixologist who made our drink was a master at her craft. 10/10 recommend. For the food portion, we both selected the 4 course DineLA customized menu and got one of each item on the menu so we can try everything. We loved the Japanese fusion of flavors. I especially enjoyed the Appetizer Hamachi shots and Crispy Shrimp Amaebi. It had a refreshing balance of flavors that were good teasers for the next dish on menu, which was the Wedge salad (loved) and Beef Tataki (it was okay). Then came the main entree, which we both got the Filet mignon, which was a good standard steak at a fine dining steakhouse. I was slightly surprised the steak did not have any Japanese flavor notes since it's a Japanese fusion steakhouse. Nonetheless, that did not take away from our pleasant experience. Next time, I'd probably opt for a ribeye or tomahawk. Last but not least, the dessert finally came. We felt VERY spoiled because not only did we have the incredible flourless chocolate cake (my favorite) and mango sorbet (refreshing), we also got a cheesecake and cotton candy, which we were able to take home to enjoy later. We were beyond satisfied by end of our meal and would definitely consider coming back again. Thank you Alexander's Steakhouse for a great experience!

Gilberto was excellent...offering suggestions and explaining options as we were first time patrons of Malbec! So on to the food! Course 1: both the Cebiche Aji Amarillo albacore tuna and yucca chips and the Vieras Gratinadas scallop crab were beautifully presented. Tuna was packed with flavor and great texture layers. Scallop was more delicate and mild flavors. Second course: the out of this world Ojo de Bife Al Malbec rib eye ... would 100% order again and the excellent as well Pollo à la Granja. Sauces on both dishes were super star! Argentinian cuisine obviously treats us to incredible culinary herbs and spices (fresh dill on the scallops and rosemary on the chicken) Third course: dessert for days! Crepe De Durzano .. light crepes and gelato... and the too die for Pastelito de Membrillo. Fruity summary crispy tart like dessert with gelato and fresh berries! Lovely wine pairings suggested by Gilberto made it all a 5-star experience! We will be back!

We started at the bar with Ernesto, who was wonderful. He recommended the Moscow Mule because they make their ginger syrup in-house, and it was delicious. The red sangria was also a hit. For happy hour food, we tried the spicy beef empanadas, 5 oz skirt steak (entraña) with peppercorn sauce, and cebiche mixto. Everything was great. Our only mistake was not ordering fries to dip into that peppercorn sauce! After happy hour, we moved to our table and met our server Eder. He was sweet, attentive, and very knowledgeable about the menu and wine. He made an excellent wine recommendation to pair with our dinner and started us off with complimentary warm baguette and classic chimichurri. For dinner, we ordered the Tabla Mixta with ribeye and short ribs. The meats arrived sizzling on cast iron and were cooked perfectly medium-rare. It came with three chimichurri sauces, with the garlic chimichurri being my favorite. Honestly, the meats were seasoned so well they didn't even need sauce. We also tried the Arroz con Mariscos and added Argentinean chorizo. The octopus, mussels, clams, shrimp, and scallops were all cooked perfectly. The rice was a little too wet for my preference since I enjoy the crispy, scorched bottom of a Spanish-style paella, but the seafood itself was excellent. The ambiance is lively and can get pretty loud, so we had to speak a little louder than normal. My only real complaint was the temperature in the main dining room. It was extremely warm throughout our visit, even with the AC supposedly running at full power. Interestingly, the area near the restrooms was noticeably cooler. This was really the only thing keeping our experience from being 5 stars. Parking around Green Street can be challenging, but street parking is free. We got lucky and found a spot down the block. There's also a paid public lot near Green and Mentor. Overall, Malbec delivered excellent food and even better service. Ernesto and Eder were both fantastic and really elevated our experience. We'll definitely be back for happy hour and dinner with friends and family.

We were a party of six celebrating my girlfriend's birthday, and three of our orders came out incorrectly. Several steaks were overcooked, lacked flavor, and even the steaks prepared medium rare were surprisingly tough. The lobster add ons were incorrect as well. The salads were good, the shrimp appetizer actually had flavor, and the sweet corn brûlée was good and that's about it. We couldn't even get bread flowing properly for the table. I really hate to see a place we've enjoyed visiting miss on so many levels in one evening. For the price point, I expect much better service, attention to detail, and overall food quality. There are simply too many great dining options in the area to have an experience like this. And honestly, when you leave a steakhouse thinking, "Heck, I cook better than this," something went wrong. Unfortunately, this visit just wasn't it.
