Disappointing food and service. We came on Sat for a bday lunch to celebrate my MIL. I was hoping to impress her with the food on her big day but found food underwhelming, under seasoned while waiting forever. I guess lunch is not a good time to Fogo because the meat choice is very limited. Felt like we got only 5 different cuts. We waited forever for the meat to come around which is so annoying. I can't help but compare the experience we had with their competitor across the street. Salad bar was mid with mediocre cured meat. Came back Sep 2024, a year later for the full Churrasco. This time was much better. The meats were not that salty anymore except one cut that I had forgotten what it was. They had a new item which was cheese in a small bite served with honey. That was a perfect bite. The brunch market table was fresh with so much variety. We enjoyed Smoked Salmon as usual. Yet another amazing experience today at Fogo. Typically their food and service is a 100 on a scale of 1 to 10. Today - not sure what happened but it was a score of 1,000 on a scale of 1 to 10. Service amazing. Salad bar - wow. Food - off the charts good. Drinks - perfect. Is it "pricey" - absolutely NOT for what you get. It is a great deal - perhaps cheap for what it includes. Honestly hadn't made it in here because it felt like it might be a little cheesy... turns out it was - in the best way! That roasted cheese in honey is to die for! Service was flawless, to the point where if you slow down a bit, they ask what kind of meats they can bring you and what your preferred temp is. This review mainly goes to Mohammed Abo Alhaija and his excellent team; I've been to multiple fogo de chao's in different cities and states and this this by far the most elegant, friendly and welcoming. Mo made it clear since we sat down that we are well taken and in good hands. The entire time the staff felt hospitable, and made sure our needs were met. Besides the beautiful interior, what caught my fiancé's and I attention the most was the attentiveness of the staff whether it was water refills, plate changes, different meat distribution, new silverware, dessert and overall satisfaction. I truly thank Mo and his team as it made today's experience our favorite so far. During my recent trip to visit friends in Plano, I took my friend out for her belated birthday dinner and she chose Fogo de Chao as her special spot to celebrate. She made reservations for a Sunday evening and parking was a snap as there is a large multi-level parking structure quite literally around the corner from Fogo. Upon walking through the front door, I almost forgot how large Fogo locations can be. The interior was tastefully decorated and colors were warm earth colors. After being seated by the hostess, we all proceeded to dig in first at the salad bar, which had an extensive collection of veggie and accompanying sides. What those sides were accompanying was the train of meat that followed when we sat back down and turned over our little tags that indicated we were ready to chow down. Service primarily comes in the form of the folks that come by to offer you a slice of their meat from the skewers they carry around. Our waitress did take our drink orders but other than that, they do not offer much in the way of service. Overall, a solid Brazilian steakhouse for when the mood hits you. read more

Service, as good as it gets. Today my friend and I visited for lunch to catch up the latest after l came back from out of the States. We immediately were seated "pour deux personnes." And there's no places to put my purse. My purse was a very ordinary Hermes purse with dark blue with no any initials of Hermes. However, the hostess brought me a coatrack beside us, and said that please hang your purse and coat and, enjoy your meal. It was really thankful that I was treated with the utmost courtesy by her. Had to ask three different people for mashed potatoes. The water person kept the glasses filled. I had stopped being impressed with Fogo de Chao years ago as more Brazilian steakhouses popped up in the Bay Area. So when my dear friend chose Fogo for her belated birthday dinner last month, I was almost surprised. I did know that this Fogo was located in Legacy West, which I had been too many times on this past trip, and during previous trips to the Dallas area in years past as well. So bonus points for its location and all of the nearby shops, cafes, and other restaurants. We had reservations for an early dinner on a Sunday night so it wasn't too busy yet. I was impressed by the large location and its well done interior and lighting. After we were seated, it was time to dig in at the salad bar. I found the salad bar to be well stocked and I liked the vegetable options you could help yourself to. As the meat servers started to come around, it was one skewer being shown to us after another. At some point, I had to turn over my card to show them to Stop asking if I wanted a cut of their meat. My experience on this particular evening was pleasant and for the price($58 a person) it was actually a great deal considering all that you have access to and how well run this location is. read more

The salad bar is consistent (the variety of cheeses and peppers, the hearts of palm, tabbouleh, beets, the 2 different types of bean salads and the seasonal fruits) with a soup station (tomato soup - creamy). The baked cheese with honey, mashed potatoes, and the pao are great. The previous items are usually neglected because of the meat! The filet, picanha, ribs (dinner), and lamb chops/picanha are usually the focus. But, it is hard to eat the churrascaria every day. So, you can alternate it with just the market salad bar. I have never been to Fogo de Chao but have been to a brazilian steak house that is the same concept. Came here as a group of 7 with reservations for a birthday celebration. We were seated quickly in the back of a smaller room off the main dining area. There was another large party nearby and it was difficult to naviagate the room. The person I assumed was our server came by explained the concept, told us to go to the salad bar and to drink orders. We headed to the salad bar and for me there was not much there that I wanted to eat. I grabbed some salad, some street corn, a few cucumbers and cheese. Headed back to the table and waited for the meat parade. The first few things that came our way were pork and not something I wanted. So we waited and waited. By the time the meat got to our table there was very little left so they gave the smallest portion ever or just gave the rest to one person. Other people in our party hit up the salad bar again but since I wasn't super interested the first go round I didn't go back. Meanwhile meat is not coming to our area of the room. Finally someone in our party got up and said something and then the meat came by so quickly and so frequently there wasn't time to try and get what you wanted let alone eat it. It was toward the end of the meal we finally got the the bread bites and cheese. Because it was a birthday they brought a slice of cheesecake. Overall for $63.50 this was NOT worth it. I did not get enough food to feel full let alone get $63.50 worth. They also over charged us. Children are supposed to be $31.75 (half the adult price) but they charged us for 7 adult meals. My kid literally ate 3 small pieces of bread, pumpkin seeds, sunflower seeds, beans and rice. I tried to get them steak (which they love) but they didn't like it. (Which I get. Some of the cuts of meat were very fatty, grisly, poorly seasoned and not good). Also they never offered us new plates. People who had been here before stated they normally swap out plates but we ate off the little bread plates the entire meal, no matter what meat was served (some meats were quite bloody and I actually had blood splattered on my bag that was on the back of my chair, not to mention all over the table cloths (table cloths are white). It was odd to eat bloody beef, then have to eat chicken in the same spot. Based on this experience I am unlikely to return here. If you had the meat coming at a steady pace and could get a fill of meat it might be worth it but I would rather just go to a nice steakhouse and order a cut of steak cooked to how I like it and it would be cheaper. Also not the restaurants fault but it is located in a BUSY outdoor shopping area. We drove into the parking garage, found a spot, exited the parking garage and were 3 BLOCKS away from the restaurant. So unless you valet, budget a good amount of time to walk/get there. read more

I would love to know who manages this place. We had a reservation for Mother's Day dinner. 7:30 PM. We arrived to what looked like an absolute nightmare of a crowd. The hostess stand was so swamped with angry customers that had been waiting forever to be seated that we couldn't even Check in. People around us were complaining that they had reservations, but we're waiting an hour plus. The hostesses looked absolutely frazzled. They were telling customers they were 45 min behind. I'm pretty sure they even violated the fire code with the amount of people that were packed into the lobby and restaurant. People outside that had dined there said they waited an hour past reservation time and that the food was terrible. Luckily another Brazilian steakhouse up the street had openings and we went there instead to avoid the sinking ship. Really disappointing that a place of this stature wouldn't have it together on one of the busiest days of the year. You clearly overbooked and gave no regard to your customers today. We always expect Fogo de Chao to have great food. Today they did. We had to ask for filet mignon (which we don't mind doing), but once it came, it was almost like having dessert -- it was melt-in-your-mouth tender and delicious. Very much worth the wait! (If you're not seeing the meat you want, just ask for it.) Then there's the brown sugar and black pepper bacon. Oh. My. Word. Crazy good. As for service, 5 stars for Moe, Emily, and Dylan (Dillon?). Very personable and efficient, especially considering how many steps a day a Fogo server must take for even small tasks. They were all lovely and made our experience even better.
