We went to Fogo for my dad's birthday, and although we have been to other Brazilian steakhouses, almost all of us had never tried Fogo. Ambience: pretty stunning. It looked like a legit high end steakhouse from the moment you walk in. There's a beautiful bar area, a sitting area, and the main dining area. Food: although we weren't here for the veggies, their salad bar was surprisingly good, with a good mix of cured meats, cheeses, and veggies. The meats were great - especially the lamb and picanha. It looked great, the flavor was strong, and it was cooked correctly. We had a wagyu ribeye and sirloin, which was very good! Not too salty, perfectly cooked. Service was awesome. We ended up having Carmella (one of the managers) - she was unbelievably welcoming, great at helping to serve, and made us feel very special. The rest of the staff was great as well - you could see that it was all hands on deck - servers and managers were all doing what they needed to in order to serve the unbelievable volume of guests. This restaurant is our "go to" place for special occasions... Today, unfortunately, we were extremely disappointed with the service. At the end of our meal my husband told manager he would like to have lamb chops but they never came. We have also ordered birthday cake for my husband. After 30 minutes of waiting and asking for it multiple times, our cake was never delivered... So we left without eating birthday dessert... By the way, I have mentioned it is my husband's birthday during OpenTable reservation. This is an unacceptable service... Horrible experience. Never had a waiter the whole time. Had to flag people down if i needed anything. They never served any of the expensive cuts that they advertised. I was so disappointed by this establishment on my birthday. Let me say first that I usually go to Texas De Brazil because they are outstanding. To compare, TDB offers bisque and some type of fish at their salads bar. Nothing close to that here. We had an earlier dinner reservation and their wasn't much variety on offer at first. The first piece set the tone for the night. It was tough and slightly under seasoned. Quite frankly, it was the worse Brazilian steakhouses experience I've ever had. The beef ribs are by far my favorite and even that was not very good. It was tough, dry, and absolutely no fat for added flavor. The ribeye was probably the best. We just salad bar little change for more fruits and less vegetables... they did not mention any and give us check and suddenly changed check and they charged $34 each!!! And we ordered coffee they charged $4.25 with worm old coffee... Never go again so bad feeling. I have been there around 10times including other locations. Service is amazing here as they are very quick and super nice!! The salad bar is just more than salad! Try the smoked salmon, the roasted garlic, the imported cured ham that is cut in front of you, watermelon, pickled and roasted veggies, and butter lettuce and salads! They all go super well with the meats that come served to your table in long sticks and cut in front of you! Medium rare is prob the perfect cooked level for the beef meats! I really enjoyed the 3 C shaped meat that I cannot remember the name of even though the server told me like 10 times! Unlike other Brazilian steak houses, this place wasn't overly salty which was perfect for me. I felt like other places I was drinking more water than eating meat. Here it was perfectly seasoned and perfectly cooked! Theres this one dish that is like fried cheese with hot honey and it's so amazing make sure to grab a piece! We came to Fogo de Chao Legacy West at the request of our 10 year old steak lover for his graduation lunch. Chase was our server. It did not disappoint!! We loved getting to try all the different steak cuts - juicy & fire-grilled to perfection The lamb, garlic steak & filet were our faves. The market table has a wide selection of fresh fruits (papaya, star fruit, etc) & variety of salad options. The service/staff were quick, very informative, professional and so so nice. Since Valentine's Day falls on a weekday this year, my honey & I decided to treat ourselves here after a long day of pre-wedding planning productivity. It really helped making a reservation beforehand, as it got busy really quick. Nonetheless, the service & food were fantastic. We really enjoyed pairing foods with the meats from the salad bar, & we loved the appetizers as well. The restaurant is set up with tables surrounding the appetizer bar, and the servers pass out the wonderful meats. Food: 5/5 For starters, and middlers, and enders, you have access to the all-you can eat appetizer station. The bar ranges from salads, to soup of the day, to fancy bacons and cheeses :) The wonderful servers bring out cheese bread for the table, as well as family style sides such as mashed potatoes and plantains. All seemed to be well done and a lot tasted the same - that's prob because we got offered them so rarely. 3/5 cause of management / staff. Otherwise I will not be going back for a while. Service was lacking, waited long periods of time, with clean plates, for the meats to come to our table; while the table next to us had meats over meats. We made a reservation a month in advance for Father's Day, and ended up seated at the bar, which was also a waiting ground for all the people with no reservations, at times it was so packed that we had people standing right next to our table, it was very uncomfortable. The meats that we did get were not up to temperature or medium rare as we were always the last table to be served, maybe due to the amount of standing people surrounding us or the fact that we where in the bar area. Sides were brought to the table periodically. Our server also was sweeping the floor in between trips, and that made me uncomfortable because I couldn't see if he sanitized his hands before bringing drinks/sides and refilling out water. Although it's great that employers pick up where other left, I feel a server should have to do cleaning duties while serving tables. Overall, for the price, we would have had a better meal and definitely better service at one of the other two nearby steakhouses. The atmosphere was fun and really nice with all of the couples celebrating. Anna asked the chefs to cook the meat to more well done for us and it was great and still came out fast. We ate here on my niece's 2nd birthday 5/5 and the service was terrible. We arrived at 645 pm and our dinner did not end not until 915 pm! The first round of meat were good but after that they took a very long time to serve any other meat that we requested. After every 15 minute wait they will come back and ask if we already received our meat and still nothing. They already gave us our dessert when we got the meat we requested. The only fast thing was them getting our bill. We made our complaint known and when the ?manager came, he listened and said he will come back. He served several tables first and it was already 20 minutes and still nothing. To top it off, they offered to serve the cake we brought which was nice but they threw away the box of the cake. We left very unhappy and honestly they do not care. We've eaten here multiple times before. No consistency with service at all. This is the 3rd time we tried to give them a chance as we wanted our families from abroad to experience Brazilian food. Sadly, I definitely recommend trying other places. read more

My boyfriend and I came to enjoy our romantic Valentine's Day dinner at Fogo de Chao, but the restaurant seemed to do everything in their power to make the evening unpleasant. From the dirty martini I ordered at the bar tasting sweet, to them seating us 20 minutes after our reservation started, the night started off a little slow. We were excited though when we did get seated at a lovely little table for two, only to have a manager walk over 2 minutes later to tell us that they had put us at the "wrong table" and that we would need to collect our coats and bags and move to a different table! The table they moved us to was literally in the entrance way to the restaurant! So we sat in basically the doorway of the restaurant while the 35 people (it was a holiday) stared at us as we ate every bite of our food while they waited for their table. It was not the romantic evening that we had anticipated at all! What awful service. Never been treated so poorly in my life at a restaurant. Too many amazing restaurants in DFW to go back to a place that disrespects their customers that way. Do better. read more

Don't waste your time or money coming here. We came Valentines Day. We sat in the enclosed patio area. The meat cutters came in very seldom. It went almost 20 min after getting one piece of meat to get the second. I asked for the beef ribs from 6 different people and after asking the 7the person it was brought out. That was after being at the restaurant for over a hr. We requested are meats to be medium well done. Not once was our request met. The meat was medium rare. What a huge disappointment. I went on a Saturday and got the restaurant week menu. It included the whole salad bar, most of the meats and a dessert for each person who got it. When I went there was this one guy who was handing out some of the meats and he was very cheerful and friendly. I really liked the way he interacted with us, really great customer service. The meats were good and the salad bar was really fresh, we got there when they were setting things out so we got a taste of the just put out stuff. I gave it 4 stars because there was some confusion and what was and wasn't included in our restaurant week deal and we had to wait a little on certain meat requests because of it. Overall, I'd go again for the lunch price since I like the meats they serve on the lower tier. read more

Having moved to TX , randomly selected this spot for our Brazilian BBQ fix . Was just underwhelming 1. No shrimp or pineapple in the full experience 2. Cocktail shrimp for $29 is an added extra and it's 6 pieces, complete rip off 3. You have to ask for Lamb 4.Not very forthcoming with the bread and we asked twice for the fried plantain that we never got . 5. Very limited selection of Limeades, desserts and basically everything . We have frequented all the popular Brazilian steakhouses in the DFW area, and our experience at Fogo yesterday was the absolute worst that we have had. We were celebrating my Wife starting a new job, and our reservation was for 5:30. The ambiance where we were seated was fantastic, and it was quiet which we appreciated. This was the only positive about our experience. The food was SALTY, more than we have ever experienced. The bottom sirloin had a funky smell, that made us not want to eat it. Everything coming out was rare or medium rare, and we only like eating meat cooked to medium/medium well. The worst part was that over an hour in to our experience (when we would usually be leaving since we had plans after dinner), I had to complain because we only had ONE round of Picanha. This is the main reason we come to eat Brazilian steak. The other meats were sparingly coming to us, but they werent cooked the way we wanted. We literally were just sitting there waiting for steak for 30+ minutes, and complained multiple times to multiple staff members. Very bizarre. When I complained to the Captain they eventually brought us a filet which was not flavorful and over cooked. We have been to Fogo so many times, so we are well aware that they are able to cook to medium/medium well without drying out the steak. We also had to remind our server several times to bring our drinks and even straws. Just overall a bad experience, and with so many other options why would we continue supporting this restaurant?! read more

Drinks took too long to arrive, and our original server kind of disappeared and we were handed off to someone else but also had to order drinks and bread from the manager. A little strange. Didn't ruin the whole experience but expected better. The best part of the night was the Old Fashioned from Leo on the drink cart.
