To which we answered multiple times (new job offer + grad school acceptance) but nothing special happened. Sadly, I had to wait a few days to give myself time to reflect on this instead of going full steam ahead with anger. I've been to Fogo de Chao a dozen times, but it's been over a decade (likely more) since i've been. I'm now married with a child, and when my family asked me where I wanted to go for Father's Day, I said, let's check out Fogo, since we had family members who recently went and had a great time! I spend the week talking the place up, how it's a meat eater's dream and people constantly come to your table offering you different cuts. My wife is a pescatarian, so she got the salmon, and my daughter is 5, so there really isn't much she'll want to eat outside of their caprese. So, we sit down to our 5 o clock reservation on Saturday, the day before Father's Day. The server was fine, she took our drink orders, we got our wine and we set off to the Market Table. I settle back and flip the green card and prepare myself. A guy comes by pretty promptly and offers me a very very thin slice of their house specialty, the picanha. Shortly after that, another server comes by and offers some fraldinha, and my daughter loves it! Great! And then we wait. And wait. 20 mins later, someone comes by with some spicy sausage. And we continue to wait. All the while, i'm seeing people come and serve the tables all around us, and none of them stop by ours. I double check and the green card is up and at the very corner of the table, in plain view of anyone who might come near our table. This continues to happen. A guy comes by with sausage to serve the table right next to us. He's standing between my table and the next. He serves them, turns towards ours, and promptly walks away. I turned around and YELLED at him to come back. That's how upset and raging I was. The manager comes by and she tells us she'll make sure more people come by. Nothing. The manager comes by 20 mins later and she asks if things have gotten better. I told her no, but i'm pretty much at the point where I just lost my appetite and I just want to leave. These are the things that were on the "menu" that I did not get to try. Filet Mignon Bone in Beef Ancho Lombo Medalhoes con Bacon Cordeiro Costela de Porco Costela Bisteca de Porco Well, so much for the $60 dollar meal. I got to eat, MAYBE 5 oz of meat. read more

UPDATE:05/08/2022 Brought the wife and kiddos for mother's day meal, about 2 months ago we came and it was fabulous, this time around a total opposite, it's truly unbelievable let's start with the service. The worst place place you can be seated is in the area by the street, call it atrium, greenhouse, do not let them seat you there in the summer. No ac and no air, 90 degrees today, so felt very terrible, they opened the windows and all that did was circulate the hot humid air. Our server was terrible truly acted and looked like she did not want to be there, very unattentive. Brought our drinks out and that was the last we saw of here I finished my tea as did my daughter and our server never stopped by to check up on us, had to finally flag another person down to get our drinks refilled, this server was the worst and I have her name on the ticket if management wants it. For 57.00 "Holiday price" I expect good grilled meats what I got were either burnt hard meats, or bloody red meats, now some like the garlic picana was good as was the ribeye, but the rest was garbage. I had to constantly flag people down, even my wife acknowledged this experience was just terrible. This just might be enough to keep me away, not the Mothers day experience I was hoping for. Eh I used to love fogo back in NY but lately its been lackluster. The meats are overly salted its insane, I could literally see tons of salt crystals on every piece. The salad bar has nothing memorable. The fried bananas were so fried they were charred. The one pro was the grilled cheddar cheese drizzled with honey. A simple yet nice touch after all that salty meat. They offered us free dessert for father's day then decided they cant lol. All over the place at this location. read more

Just do not sit by the bar sitting area. (I was not at the bar) if you want the all you can eat. Sit in the restaurant towards the right. I'm in love with this place. My favorite thing about it (besides the endless amounts of meat walking around) is that during lunch time on weekdays it is cheaper than dinner, and kids under 6 are free, 7-12 is half price. This place has the most amazing picanha I have ever tasted. I prefer that over any filet. Our servers were very attentive which I always appreciate! My second favorite thing is their market side table. I've been here at lunch just to get the salad bar and it is more than worth the price. Best salad bar I have seen anywhere in the Dallas area! I attended a graduation party with about 50+ people in attendance. The service was A+ as well as the food. The meat was hot and juicy: delicious. Our server, Sheena, sent us home with a dessert that was not mention in the choices. We saw another lady having this particular dessert, which is our fav, and ask why she got one and we didn't. Had a birthday party here Saturday with a group of 12 friends and family. The only reason I'm giving it a 2 is because the food was good. The service was horrible. We asked probably 10 times for Picanha to be brought to the table and it took about 1.5 hrs before someone finally came around with it. We ordered 2 rounds of drinks that took about 20 mins each round to arrive to the table. If you're looking for a fine dining experience for a large group, look elsewhere. These people did not give two #@$%s about our table and almost seemed annoyed that we were asking for things... what a crappy experience. Will not be back. read more

Quite a nice place. Upon first entry I was with greeted with a great big smile, and I felt immediately very welcomed. We choose to do the continuous meat option. We had to stop by the salad bar first though. Although there a lot of items, they were obviously geared towards an audience of the fairer skinned people of America. Don't get me wrong the quality was there, but for me just lacked something. The meat on the other hand was devilishly extravagant (some cuts more than others). I would love to get a labels on the meats because some of the guys accents were a bit thick. But all in all the experience was phenomenal. Friendly waiters, cooks, and managers. You hear Fogo de Chão and as someone who's never been there you immediately think, "Wow, nice steakhouse, volume cuisine, pricey, I'm gonna have a nice time. This is a nice place." But it's all a ruse. Behind the facade of a well-dressed staff and lovely interior, there is absolutely nothing of substance. The only protein not cooked to hell and back again was the filet mignon, which was perfect medium rare. Everything else was medium to well done (mostly medium-well). They give you the illusion of choice when presenting the meat to the table, but it was all cooked the same. So if well done protein is your jam, then you'll probably love it. For most, however, a medium to well done steak is like chewing wet shoe leather. The pichana was flavorless, the lamb was over cooked (what crazy person enjoys their lamb well done), the bacon wrapped chicken was dry in the middle, and the top sirloin was uninspiring. One of the steaks tasted gamey, which was unsettlingly odd. $400 before tip for 5 people, 2 of whom did not order alcohol and no one ordered desserts. For the price, I expected to be blown away. But as it turns out, like any volume cuisine, they sacrifice quality for quantity. Fogo de Chão is just a Brazilian-fusion Golden Corral with a fancy paint job and 10x the price. read more

We decided to try a new location for our Christmas Eve dinner and Fogo was open. We've wanted to try the location at Legacy West and it's been years since we went to the Addison location. The restaurant looks great, with a stylish bar off the entrance. I opted for a Christmas cocktail of vodka on the rocks with olives. The well brand was Tito's which is fine by me! We had reservations so we're seated quickly, and being familiar with the rules of engagement my wife and I started to attack the salad bar while our boys waited for the meat skewers. The salad bar was well stocked with veggies like asparagus, broccoli, eggplant, mushrooms and more. There were also cheeses, salmon, chicken salad, antipasto meats along with the normal salad fare. When we got back, the boys were already feasting on various cuts of chicken and beef. I liked the top loin and the sausage. I was hoping for some lamb, but the gaucho with that skewer never came around even after I asked our server. I did try an assortment of cuts, however, including their signature picanha, and they were all good. A couple great additions since we were there last were the shrimp cocktail and grilled cheese and I'd recommend the latter. All in all, it was a great meat-fest. My son even had room for creme brulee which was very good. Our experience was overall good. The cuts of meat were okay and the service was fair. Definitely a place if you want a quantity of meats. read more

I've been to fogo de chao multiple times. It's truly my favorite restaurant. I've been raving about this place to my bf for months and we finally decided to come together. Even before sitting down I could see it wasn't going to be a great experience. Tables are entirely too close together. The first place she tried to sit us was behind a huge party and squished in between to other tables. We got lucky she offered to move us. The next table was next to the waiters plate station. I took it upon myself to move again because what the heck? The food was ok. Not good or delicious just ok. The best part of our meal were the drinks that's it. I asked for sides about 5 times and the only sides available we're baked potatoe.... I asked if they had fried bananas. After 45 minutes and 2 waiters they brought me bananas sure but not fried and very mushy. Our waiter would converse with everyone around us but forget about our table until we had to hound him down. Terrible. The gauchos are not well trained. Coming here should be an experience. It was odd seeing teens and young men with no proper upkeep serving meat. Overall I'm embarrassed that I've been raving about this place and this was the experience. I won't be coming back here that's for sure. Completely ruined my love for this restaurant. read more

This was the first time I have been here for brunch. I tried all the meats and my favorite was the parmesan chicken and the NY strip. The salad bar was outstanding. To the side of the bar there was an omelet and crepe station. I got an omelet and it was good. On the same side, they had diced potatoes with steak and another with candied bacon and sausage. The potatoes, bacon and sausage was barley warm. I let them know and they brought some hot to our table. The cheese bread was also barley warm and our server agreed. As soon as they had more ready they brought it out to our table. They were very accommodating. They also gave me a slice of cheesecake for my birthday. This was my first time at Fogo de Chao, ever... I must hand it to them, they had the most exquisite salad bar imaginable. My favorites would have to be the beets, corn, and mushrooms. You can find an array of other delicious finds, like artichokes, sun dried tomatoes, smoke salmon, and cheeses. My favorite cuts are the bottom sirloin and tri-tip -- exceptionally tasty here. They were thinly sliced from swords, which was in contrast to the other chunkier pieces from other cuts. We asked them what they marinated them with, and they said "just rock salt." We're thinking that has to be a lie, right? It was just so buttery tasting... Nonetheless, I have found my new go-to spot for Brazillian. read more

Great dining experience. A+ for the Plano location. We've been to 2 other locations in DFW and the Plano location is the best. From the Valet to the staff, we were greeted and treated as valued customers. Our server, Chris, and his team were great and paid attention to every detail. The rodizio was perfectly seasoned without being overly salty which is more common than you might think. We ate our fill of picanha and other grilled specialties along with some proper caprihinas and then enjoyed some decadent deserts. Will be back! read more

We haven't been to Fogo de Chao in many years and the only location we ever went to has been the Addison location. When you look back at the Original riginal North American location of Fogo de Chao that opened in Addison TX back in 1997, and see what they have become today it's incredibly depressing. The quality of The experience has absolutely collapsed. When I say the experience, let's start with the quality of the staff. Today you've got the floor flooded with low end employees who don't know what they're doing which is 100% the fault of management. And then maybe a higher level problem not necessarily indicative of this location's management is the food. The quality of the food has also collapsed and that also transitions into the salad bar being equally as low tier. Okay so how do you fix this problem? Fire 50% of the staff bumping into each other wandering the floor and replace those folks with a much higher end quality of employee, which probably means somebody making $35/hour plus tips. This is something they absolutely have to bite the bullet on Even if it means operating with less staff. It's no surprise that your main server will come around and ask, " oh do you need more tea or bread', only to disappear for 20 minutes. A higher echelon of employee would not do that. Elevating the quality of the staff will also result in their ability to communicate at a higher level. Some of us at the table opted for the $44 option, but the way the server communicated it there were so many rules and restrictions that we all just simply opted for the regular price option. They just shook their head and said what a scam. Why offer the $44 option If they Don't know how to communicate it clearly without making it sound like we're getting a parking ticket. I would recommend that Fogo hire secret diners to rate everything that I'm mentioning and you will see how things have collapsed. read more

We were approached multiple times to "try" or "sample" small appetizers making it seem like the small "infuser" drinks were free. Same thing with the shrimp. But at the end had all these additional charges and ran our bill up. And then to end it we were incentivized heavily for the entire table to leave a review so we could get 1 free desert, were basically pressured the entire time on this.
