We had actually been here once before and had a horrible service experience, but someone gave us a $100 gift card, so we decided to give this location another chance. As soon as we walked in, we were sooo glad we made a reservation. It was packed at 6 p.m. on a Friday night. Once we were seated, we were greeted by our server, Ray. He did try to upsell us, but we already knew we wanted the basic all-you-can-eat dinner without the lobster tail or extra add-ons. It took a little while for our drinks to come out, but once we had those and our flip cards, we got salad and waited for the meat to come by. The meat took about 5-10 minutes to start coming around, which was a little unfortunate since we finished our salads pretty quickly. Once we asked a busser if they could send someone over, Ray took over and got the meat coming out consistently. Our absolute favorite was the Arrachera--it was JUICY! Ray also did a great job keeping my husband's Coke refilled and making sure the mashed potatoes never got low without bringing us more. We were really impressed with Ray's service, so we asked for a manager to come by just to let them know what an awesome job he was doing. A lead came over first, but he seemed a little preoccupied. Another manager, Pedro, came by, and we let him know how great Ray was. Pedro was much more excited and appreciative, and he was awesome as well. When we got the check, Pedro took care of us, which we were not expecting and honestly did not ask for. We left Ray a nice tip and headed out. This experience completely changed our opinion of this location. After our first visit, we weren't sure we would ever come back, but Ray and the team really turned it around. We will definitely be back again.

It's been awhile since I've been to Fogo and tbh I was slightly disappointed. While the meat selection is always great and very delicious, the service tonight was subpar. It took probably a half hour to get a bottle of wine we ordered and even then it took them a half hour to tell us they didn't have the bottle. It felt like we got cut off on meats fairly quick even tho my card was green and then we got some tap water which also took a good chunk of time. The location itself is really nice, and the dining room is great with a lot of parking near by, but yeah service just took a hit tonight.

Fogo de Chão on Santana Row in San Jose is undoubtedly the most famous Brazilian steakhouse in the area, and the crowds prove it. However, while it hits the spot for a celebratory meal, management could iron it out operationally. It may not be the best Brazilian BBQ in the area, but it is a solid experience, but learn to game the system. Strategy: Getting a 6:15 PM reservation was our savior, seated right on time. If you think you will walk in or get a table on time with a reservation at 7:00 PM or later, think again. The restaurant was incredibly backed up as the night goes on because the table service was slow. The meats & service was a mixed bag: The biggest drawback was the pace. The meats came out veeeeery slowly and in inconsistent spurts. There wasn't a great selection early on, which forces you to stay longer just because you're waiting to try different cuts, cheeses, and the pineapple. The gaucho and waiter service tried really hard and were mostly attentive, but the restaurant is clearly understaffed. A few times we asked different servers for something, only for them to say they'd check on it and never return. The Winners: Picanha (prime sirloin cap) is easily the best meat on the menu, closely followed by the standard sirloin. The chicken was wonderfully moist and delicious, the Portuguese sausage was good, and the iconic cheese bread and mashed potatoes held their own. From the non-meat options, the fried cheese with honey was excellent, and the grilled pineapple was a nice, unique highlight. Needs work: The garlic Picanha and the bacon-wrapped beef were both well-done and dry. The filet mignon was also a letdown with a less-than-ideal texture. Final Verdict: We had a birthday in our group, and the restaurant generously provided a free dessert of our choice, which was a nice touch. For 4 people, the bill came to about $500 including a drinks, tax, and tip. We opted for the Full Churrasco experience. It was good.

Came here with a couple of friends. We got the full churrasco and got to try many cuts of meat. Shout out to the servers though, they were working many tables and the area I was in, there was a female server and Santiago who were very attentive and checked up on us very frequently. For the food, I personally enjoyed the picanha and the filet mignon a lot. The fat on the picanha has some charred flavor but it melts in your mouth and the filet mignon is very tender. At the end of this, I could not walk. We also got multiple deserts, of which I liked the creme brulee cheesecake as there was a lot of the cream cheese filling. The key lime pie was like any key lime pie I won't lie and I didn't try the lava cake.

The ambiance was really nice and the service was amazing. Usually at Brazilian steakhouses they keep bringing meat nonstop and you end up eating in a rush trying to keep up Here it felt much more relaxed and enjoyable. The buffet was super clean and everything tasted fresh. The meats were cooked really well, juicy without being overly burnt outside. Also it didn't feel like everything was covered in heavy butter because after eating we didn't leave feeling sick or overly full, which I really appreciated. We celebrated my husband's birthday here and they brought complimentary dessert. Everyone saying "happy birthday" when we walked in was such a cute touch and made the night feel more special. The inside is modern, spacious, and designed. Definitely one of the best Brazilian places we've tried around here. Pretty sure this is going to be our go-to spot now whenever we want Brazilian food.

Fogo de Cháo in my opinion is the epitome fine dining serving delicious Brazilian steakhouse food. The food is marinated and grilled to perfection. Their servers are quick as serving the meat straight from the kitchen oven to you quickly so that the meat is still fresh and piping hot. The quality of the meat is top notch. The selection is also abundant. The included all-you-can-eat salad bar, soup, bread is fantastic. Great selection of greens and salads, cold meats to choose from. While I am not a big wine person, I can see that Fogo de Cháo offers are wide variety of wine selection for its customers. They have newly remodelled the restaurant at the San Jose, Santana Row location and the ambience is magnificent. I have been to this restaurant location many times and this newly remodelled space is great.

This was our first time dining at Fogo de Chao. Everything was absolutely delicious. The beef was cooked to perfection. The food is very high-quality. The desserts are out of this world! Such a an exquisite experience. The restaurant is extremely clean and inviting, and the servers are very friendly and professional. Our servers Santiago and Luis were extremely professional and friendly. They made our dining experience extra special. Today is our son's 19th birthday and we are so glad that we celebrated with Fogo de Chao! We are looking forward to coming back again. Thank you!

The full churrrasco experience is worth it if you want to try different cuts of unlimited meats. They served pork chop, lamb chop, ribeye, top and bottom sirloin, roasted chicken, bacon-wrapped pork, grilled pineapple, Brazilian cheese with honey, and many more. Some of my favorites were the ribeye, pork chop, grilled pineapple, and roasted chicken. A few of the other meats, like top and bottom sirloin, were a bit dry and bland compared to the rest. In addition to the meats, the churrasco experience also includes access to the salad bar, which has a variety of salads, breads, fruits, cheeses, cold cut meats, and vegetables. I also tried the passion fruit caipirinha, which was surprisingly good. Cocktails can sometimes be too sweet or too strong, but this one was perfectly balanced. It had fresh passion fruit pieces and was refreshing. Our waiter was friendly and polite. Service was slow at times, but he still provided great service throughout the meal. Another staff member also came by to check in and ask if we needed anything, which helped make sure everything was going smoothly. There's a parking garage nearby that is free for the first two hours, but you will need to pay if you stay longer. Just remember your license plate number, since it's required when paying through the QR code app.

Im honestly sad to post this review, but unlike my other fogo experiences at this location and others, our last visit was a nightmare. I made reservations for a group of 6 for a Saturday at 3:30pm for their $39.99 special. We thought about a very late lunch so hoping less people. Got there at 3:15pm and checked in for our reservation. Our table wasnt ready at 3:30. A couple more minutes passed, and at 3:45pm we still werent seated. We were finally seated at 4:40 pm. A whole hour and 10 minutes PAST our 3:30 reservation!! Got seated to an empty table. No plates, utensils, water, sides. We sat for 15 minutes and no server. We went for the salad bar, got our own plates. Finally, 1 gaucho came. We still didnt have utensils! We had to ask for water, sides, and utensils - all at freaking different times. We had maybe 4 meats during the entire dining experience. At this point, i had just lost my appetite and wanted to leave. To make matters worst, i ask for the check and we were charged at the regular price instead of the $39.99 special - their reasoning: IT WAS DINNER TIME (not eligible for promo at dinner) and cut-off was 4pm!!! Im livid at this point. I explained what happened and that we wouldve qualified for lunch $39.99 promo price if it wasnt for their mismanagement of guests and reservations. Still, they didnt budge and we still paid full price. That was my Dad's birthday that we tried to make special. They had lost a loyal customer for sure....

Great food and overall experience. Service was attentive throughout the meal. My favorite meat was actually the chicken thigh/leg -- the skin was super crispy and the seasoning was on point. Second favorite was the picanha, which was very tender. I also really liked the variety at the salad bar. I was surprised to find papaya that was actually sweet and ripe, and the heart of palm was a standout too -- nice crunch and acidity that helped balance out the heavier meats.

Holy smokes. Best happy hour around. My coworkers had been raving about their Happy Hour for what seems like decades, so I finally went yesterday. It's taking everything in me to not go back today. Did I mention their happy hour is all day? Everyday? It's only at the bar/their bar tables so I wouldn't recommend that you go with a large group. Food was so good, filet mignon (8 oz, $17.50) was cooked to medium perfection. Lamb chops ($14) were juicy and tender with a fresh mint sauce. Empanadas were crispy with a savory picanha filling served with a chimichurri on the side. Might I add, as a sauce lover, I love the fact that almost everything came with some kind of sauce. The lobster and shrimp tacos were eh. And the heart of palm and spinach dip was yummy, and came with a soft bread that held the dip nicely. I appreciated that the bread wasn't so crusty to the point where the roof of your mouth hurt. Now here's the common issue where restaurants with great food tend to go awry: service, which is where the star is subtracted. While it wasn't the worst service I've ever had, it was real slow. At first it was quick enough, but after we had gotten all of our food, we hardly saw our server, so we didn't really get the chance to order more. By the time we got a hold of someone, we didn't want to order anymore. Which may or may not be a good thing. I should note it was busy, so we were understanding. So, it could be a management issue for not staffing more, especially since this happy hour seems to be such a hit. I hope they never get rid of this deal or change it because this alone will have me coming back over and over again.

Molten chocolate cake for my birthday. But my favorite dessert is the papaya cream!

Yes you can take advantage of lunch prices at that time frame. You can eat for as little as $18 per person

    Is this unlimitted steak?

It's supposed to be unlimited but the amount of times the servers come to your table, it feels limited

If You get the salad bar any one meat selection, is that one meat portion or as much as you want of that meat?

As much as you want and as long as your green circular card is facing up, they will keep on offering different kinds of meat.

I just looked at that and it looked like fixed prices for the New Year's Eve, hope this helps

Is there parking? And can we come walking in?

My partner and I specifically come here specifically for their Picanha steaks which are extremely high quality and affordable. They're great to cook using the reverse sear method or grill like they do at Brazilian steak houses. They taste fantastic with chimichurri or even just with flaky salt because of how buttery the steaks are on their own. The last time we were here, we got 10 steaks for around $150 and we seriously thought we'd be spending way more. Of course the cost will depend on what you, like the prime rib here is very expensive, but weigh out your options! I do think everything else here seems to be a great price for the quality compared to mass grocers. I'd highly recommend anyone to check out this shop!

But 20 minutes in, the Chef came in gracefully to share that he can't cook it, and he will bring it now, and if we slice it and don't like it, he can then cook the slices. Me and my son thought that we should be able to eat it, even if it was a bit on the rare side, and we did. It wasn't the perfect situation for us, which is the 3 stars, but it wasn't bad. Moral of the story, if you like your tomahawk cooked in one piece, this is not the place for you. For me if it is slices, then it is no longer tomahawk but rather sliced steaks and that's not why I am here. Will we go there again? Most probably, but 100% not for tomahawk.

The hostess was very friendly and showed us to our table. We had a table inside, which was an intimate upscale casual area with a bar. We ordered the stuffed mushrooms for a starter. It was so hard to pick one because everything on the menu sounds so good. Alas, I have a small appetite. The mushrooms were very tasty and a nice start to our meal. For entrees, we had the halibut and prime filet with a side of broccolini. Everything was cooked perfectly and was delicious. Drinks are on the pricey side- I had a Hero Old Fashioned and the Taylor Made, $20 each. They were nicely crafted, so worth the price. They brought out a Carmel Popcorn Sundae for my husband's birthday and even gave him a birthday card which I thought was a nice touch. Service was slow and steady. We had ample time to enjoy our food without feeling rushed, but never felt like our server forgot about us. We spent about 2 hours for dinner. Probably not a place to go if you're in a hurry. I'm eager to return and try some more of the starters. It's the kind of place I'd love to take out of town guests - high quality fine dining in a casual and relaxed environment.

Where do I even begin to start about brunch at Be.Steak.A. This is indeed a special dining…read moreexperience. My bestie and I came here for their all you can eat buffet brunch on Mother's Day. We started out with complimentary glasses of Prosecco and sparkling cider while we waited to be seated. There was a little delay in getting our table, but it wasn't really a problem because we were chatting and enjoying the drinks. Before we entered, they had a floral photo wall where we took a photo together to memorialize the experience. And when we sat at the table, they had placed a lovely Mother's Day card on the table signed by the staff. The decor at Be.Steak.A is modern and feels very upscale. I think the bathrooms say a lot about a restaurant's attention to detail, and the bathrooms at Be.Steak.A were elevated - essential oil infused salt scrub to wash your hands, bidets, etc. The brunch buffet is just as described - hot items and pastries in the kitchen (so cool), a caviar bar outside, a separate station for cold seafood, another station for fruit and charcuterie, and then assorted desserts on the bar. The food was excellent. We started with the caviar -- the options and accouterments were plentiful and delicious. The caviar bar was so fun and felt luxurious. This was one of the highlights of the whole experience for me. For the other seafood, we enjoyed oysters, shrimp, crab legs, and other little seafood dishes, which unfortunately weren't labeled, so we didn't always know what we were eating. My friend had some dietary restrictions she was concerned about, so that was a little frustrating for her. But my favorite bite of the entire day was one of those unmarked seafood dishes- I wish I could tell you what it was -I think it was possibly squid. But it was so fresh and flavorful. Yum! The hot food in the kitchen was a neat experience. They had skewers and prime rib and many other dishes to choose from. I kept coming back to the seafood skewers. We were a little bummed that the beef Wellington was just gone when we entered the kitchen. There was still about another hour and a half of brunch service left so that was a disappointment for us. They also had numerous pasties and this amazing bread pudding that I drizzled a Nutella sauce over and added some strawberries to. This was probably my third favorite bite of the day (after the little seafood dish and the caviar experience). I'd be remiss if I didn't give the truffled deviled eggs from the charcuterie area a shout out. These were so good we kept going back for more. The desserts were good but a number of them were a little dry, I have to say. Surprisingly, my favorite was a little passionfruit tart that had just the right amount of sweetness. I'm usually a chocolate kinda gal but there weren't that many chocolate options, I have to say. A few other things- our server was lovely and gave us a lay of the land to start. She made sure we had any drinks we wanted and plenty of extra silverware. While there just aren't as many touch points with a server at a buffet, the interactions we did have were very positive. And even though I was disappointed that they ran out of the Beef Wellington, I was so impressed with how they kept replenishing and refilling the other dishes right up to the end of the buffet. This was an incredible dining experience. I'd highly recommend this brunch buffet experience for special occasions. I'm looking forward to dining here for dinner in the not so distant future!

Sat at the bar again. Disclaimer is this is just my experience.... As we sat down we were greeted just fine. Ordered a couple cocktails. The wife received hers and about 5-8 mins later I asked for mine. Whether or not it was true the bartender said it needs time to set. Well you could have said it takes time while my wife was waiting to sip on hers(mediocre communication). We then proceeded to order the scallop appetizer. While the presentation was good. The scallops were rubbery and overcooked. A few mins later we had to ask to order some entrees. Key words "had to ask". I got the hot stone trio. She got the lobster risotto. We decided on indulging a little. While we were waiting I asked for a wine list... 5 minutes later I asked again different server finally got the list. No revisit. The food came. Still looking to order wine about 8-10 mins in a different bartender came in and asked, we ended up getting a bottle wine. The food: the hot stone trio, for $230, mediocre cuts of supposedly A5 Japanese wagyu. They were out of the Sanuki and said we'll substitute with an Oregon beef. Just not worth the money. The lobster was ok, the risotto was already cooled off, seemed like it was sitting. So for 2 of us with a $700 plus meal the service was not on par with other similar establishments. Combine that with food that was definitely not worth the $$$$, it is not a return for me. Including hosting business here. Not sure if they judged us cause we weren't all dressed up, due to just coming from the local movie theater or what, but service was not there, unfortunate.

At many restaurants, that would be a problem. At Henry's, it becomes a reason to test the rest of the grill. We ordered the Porterhouse and the Sirloin, both medium rare. The Porterhouse was solid: balanced seasoning, clean grill flavor, no unnecessary tricks. A lot of restaurants can do a good Porterhouse because the cut already has drama -- bone, fat, tenderness, presentation. But Sirloin is different. Sirloin exposes the kitchen. Especially that strip of fat running along the edge. If the grill work is careless, that fat becomes chewy, greasy, or wasted. Henry's handled it beautifully. The meat stayed true medium rare, while the fat edge was properly rendered, lightly charred, and full of beef aroma. That is real steakhouse skill. Medium rare lean meat plus properly rendered sirloin fat is not automatic. It takes timing, fire control, and experience. The baked potato was simple and correct. The salad was classic old-school steakhouse style. Dark beer still feels like the right companion here. Henry's is not trying to become trendy. It is not chasing presentation. People come here to eat steak, drink beer, and trust the kitchen. Prime Rib is still the ritual. But this visit proved something important: Henry's is not only a Prime Rib place. They know beef. - Dr. C Fire controlled. Fat rendered. Medium rare verified.

Everything kind of just came at once so be prepared to be rushed to eat things quickly if you want to eat it while its hot and fresh. I personally would have wished it were paced out a bit better so that our table could converse a bit more naturally and snack while at it. The food was all pretty good. We got the broccolini and it was a bit tender. If you have elderly folks at the table or folks with a bit more sensitive teeth, this may not be the right item on the menu. The pizza was pretty good but the bottom was a a bit charred. Overall, the atmosphere was more on the dark, moody, romantic vibes. I think it would have hit this if it weren't for it being a bit too noisy with the staff running around and music blasted.

The server was very understanding. I was pescatarian at the time, so did not take part in all the meat offerings. But I've been to other locations and their steaks are usually pretty good. Their seafood is for a steakhouse. The sea bass was moist and slippery. The lobster bisque was creamy and decadent. One thing that's always consistent at Mastro's is their cocktails. I always get the grey goose martini and it never disappoints. Parking here is awful. I don't ever remember Valley Fair being this bad.
