Foko is DEFINITELY one of the main reasons I come to Logan Street Market. You walk by their booth and you can smell the deliciousness. What caught my attention this time was the pictures of some of the menu items they had on their display screen. I literally pointed to a picture and said "I don't know what that is but I want to try it!". I had the taquitos with dirty rice and all I could say was WOW the entire time I ate it. What else can I say except holy cow, their food is delicious! My wife and I go to Logan Street Market after church basically every other week and I always get food from Foko. I had the chilaquiles with chicken and chorizo and it was like I was in heaven! Then my wife had the toquitos and dare I say they were even better?!? I was so hesitant to leave a review because it won't be a good one. We were there on a Sunday, at 1 pm so I was giving them some slack. The menu options looked good, the food smelled good, the person that took our order was very friendly and pleasant when we placed our order and he told us it would be about 17 minutes. We had a view of people ordering and people getting their food and our stomachs were growling! It all looked so good. At 20 minutes we started noticing people that ordered after us getting there food and asked how much longer, they said our order would be up next at 45 minutes I gotta tell you I was fed up with hearing the same thing as so many orders were going and they weren't even pretending anymore. So I stood in everyone's way and said at this point just refund our money and cancel the order. He started making excuses and I was done. He refunded and at the same time gave us mostly our order. The food was good, but my stomach was already sour. I feel bad leaving a bad review but I will not order there again. Too many choices at a wonderful location to be bothered with that. read more

Foko is a cool eatery inside the new Logan Street Market. I've both eaten dinner there and been at an event that was one of their first catering experiences. The flavors are really good, especially with the guacamole and arepas. The prices are reasonable, maybe a bit on the high end. I'm lookIng forward to trying more of their options! read more

Delicious. My wife and I are in Louisville from out-of-town staying at an Air-bnb in Germantown. I typically order biscuits and gravy when I see it on the menu, since I like to see how people can put their spin on such a versatile dish. I was blown away. The fried chicken gravy was scrumptious. I had it with a fried egg layered over the dish, which was cooked to perfection. The biscuit seemed to be a cornmeal/flour mix, but I'm not sure. Whatever it was... what a wonderful texture underneath all of the rich gravy, shredded fried chicken and egg yolk. Yum. Mi esposa had the "breakfast sandwich." Also delicious, and surprisingly simple. Beautifully cooked scrambled egg, fresh avocado, toasted cheese, with a drizzle of some type of cream sauce, on a sesame bun. The side of potatoes was amazing, with crumbled queso on top. Very impressive, and if you're a local, I'm sure this place will get a ton of return business. read more

I really liked Foko! I ate here for brunch on a Saturday, and I had the chilaquiles with chorizo. It was delicious. They have a decently sized Mexican fusion menu, and everything sounded delicious. I got my food in about 10 minutes and I would order again in a heartbeat! Definitely worth it to come here! read more

My new favorite Mexican restaurant. The food is authentic Mexican meets Southern comfort. My go-to is the Wake Up Rito with bacon as my choice of meat (you can get chorizo or bologna, too). It's a tasty burrito with scrambled egg, bacon, dirty rice, and potatoes.* My second choice is the Lil' Pancakes topped with a tres leche sauce (the chef likes to change it up and put a custard on them sometimes--which is fine because I haven't met a custard I don't like) and a delicious variety of fresh fruit. For dinner, the tacos are really good with interesting flavor combinations like bologna, chorizo, pineapple and morita sauce all wrapped up in a homemade corn tortilla. I've also had the traditional style pork tamales with their jalapeño sauce that is so delicious I want it bottled and sold at Foko so I can put it on everything! All the dishes that I've had at Foko leave me full and satisfied without breaking the bank. Can I give them more than 5 stars? The fried chicken biscuit with jalapeño gravy and that perfectly sunny egg are what brunch dreams are made of! The humble sounding "potato cake" was so flavorful- crispy edges and topped with a mixture of peppers and sweet potatoes and some green sauce that I can't identify but can't stop thinking about. The chips and guacamole- simply the best ever. Freshly squeezed OJ to wash it all down. Nicest staff you'll ever meet. We love Foko- highly recommend!!! read more

Haven't had the pleasure yet of visiting them during normal business hours, but the sampling I encountered was superb. The pork tamales had a perfect ratio of masa to pork, they were moist full of flavor. One of the best tamales ever. The other dish was mole chicken and rice. The chicken was cooked perfectly, it fell apart while cutting with a fork but wasn't mushy or chewy. The mole sauce wasn't over powering but when tasted alone had subtle notes of a variety of spices plus was nice and rich. This complimented the coconut rice, which by itself was very tasty. Had no idea that the Logan Street Market was a thing! Foko was delicious. I had the enfriolodas which were awesome. Lots of veggies in them and the corn tortillas were perfect. My partner had something new on the menu that I couldn't remember the name of but it had egg and chorizo along with the mashed potatoes. I passed through Logan Street Market in the middle of the week while on a road trip with my family, and Foko was one of the only places open for breakfast. I'm so happy we stopped here because the owner was so kind and friendly, and the food was great! I got the Cortado Iced Coffee and I swear it is my new favorite coffee!
