This place was my childhood staple and continues to serve excellent pizza. (Beating out most of the NYC places I've tried since moving.) The owners operate the establishment and are always friendly, attentive, and considerate. I had not visited in a long time but they remembered my family and were genuinely concerned about them and their wellbeing. They gave my mom free garlic knots. Wonderful family centered business. Pretty good pizza here and not to long of a wait. The workers are really nice as well, they won't try and rush your order even if there busy. Plenty of seats to sit in with TV's and all. I had the buffalo slice it was really good only thing that I could say would make it better is to have it a little more spicey. Is like a fast food pizza place everything is there if you just needa slice just have to wait for it to be toasted. It wasy first time here but I will definitely be coming back for more very soon. read more

I admit I haven't been here since I had some pretty mediocre pizza in the old place across the street in the King Kullen shopping center. With that said, none of other reviews would lead me to return. Not as good as Delicious? Wow, that says a lot because Delicious is just OK and also nothing really special. Been eating here my entire life; the staff actually knows my family by name at this point. It's truly the best pizza in Glen Cove! If there's one thing I'll miss back at college, it's being able to grab a slice of pizza here. Forest Ave Pizza catered my daughter's graduation party this past Sunday and we were WOW'd by the food. BTW, we have previously ordered their pizzas, calzones & rice balls, which are the best in the area. This was the first time we ordered trays of food. Everyone loved the freshness, quality and taste of each dish. It seems that whatever you have, it is going to be delicious. Highly recommend you go there and try it yourself. read more

We have been going to Forest Pizza since I met my husband in 1991. Nice family run business w prompt service. Their pizza is what keeps us coming back! Plenty of cheese, just the right amt of sauce, and the crust is always perfectly cooked. read more

Stopped here with my family to grab lunch and we were all completely surprised at how good the food tastes! I had a chicken slice and going forward this is the only pizza I ever want to eat. a better then average pizza shop in glen cove on forrest ave that looks nice from the outside and just as nice inside. it's part of about 6 other businesses with parking in the rear. the inside is spacious with plenty of tables to sit as well as leather look bench seating . the place has two entrances one on forest and other via side parking lot. the first thing that i notice before i make my way to the front counter is how high the ceiling is , damn you can throw a ball up in the air and wait an hour before it comes down but 3 three large tvs and some nice paintings all over the walls is really the reason why folks tend to look up. now it's pizza , calzones, chicken rolls, pasta dishes, etc that makes the glen cove folks leave the house to come here and they should cause even though i only tried the pizza on my two visits i can say without a doubt that it's really good pizza, thin chewy crust with good cheese to sauce ratio with a hint of garlic in the mix. two slices with a drink is enough even for a hungry fella .the place gets crowded but the three friendly folks behind the counter move it along in a quick pace. 2 slices and a 20 oz soda for under 8 bucks is not bad at all. 2 fridges with a nice assortment of beverages and even a fountain soda machine if you prefer and a self service slurpee type gizmo if you like. it's not the only pizza joint in the area but it's not a bad one to visit . read more

While there are simply no good pizzerias in Glen Cove, this "emporium" of pizza, a brand, spankin' new building that looks as though it ought to be on the Amalfi Coast (well, not hardly) happens to be the absolute worst of the bunch. There is no dearth of pizzerias in this small city (technically speaking, there are only 2 cities on Long Island--Glen Cove and Long Beach), but Forest is simply horrible. Nice guys own it--very accommodating and professional in terms of RUNNING a pizzeria. If only they would COOK the stuff! Every pie they make comes out of the oven nearly raw and gooey. The dough hasn't risen enough, and the oven hasn't baked the pie enough. I don't understand their penchant for under-baking their pizzas, but they do consistently. Apart from the less-than-done aspect of the pizza, it also happens to have incredibly little flavor. I've stopped in there any number of times over the last decade or more, and it's never good. And pretty certain it's fake cheese. Why eat a polymer? Don't bother. Just don't bother. read more

I have been eating at this pizzeria as long as I can remember, food is always great, specialty slices are awesome. The new location has excellent seating and a nice atmosphere to sit and have lunch or dinner. The employees/owners are always a pleasure and attentive to your order.
